We are getting hit too Betty. Expecting 15 in of snow.

Wouldn't you know I am supposed to see the eye specialist in Kingston at 10:15. A friend was going to drive me but even with his 4WD it would be difficult to get out the lane. I will have to reschedule but that means it will probably be weeks before I can get another appointment.

I'll BBL later once I have been able to get through to the doc's office.

Stay safe Betty and NO shoveling.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Our "storm warning" amounted to barely an inch of snow.
Sad to see all the tornado destruction in FL. They were hit with 5 of them lower west coast. Ft. Myers area.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Best be sage than sorry Dianne..day like today you just stay inside and cuddle with dogs

With difficulty in walking Marie was over, did my steps and around my car,,my driveway plow guy hasn’t come yet nor Joe who does where i normally shovel..too early in the day, better they wait until later in the day.

Munipical plow must have hit something, plough unit fell off so some of our roads won’t get done till much later.

We list a woman, lone rider on snowmobile hit a tree yesterday, young to die..

Karen, i did not hear about the tornadoes..will contact Darlene whose home is in Fort Myers to see how she and John are doing

Making a mess cutting scraps..will see what creation i will end up with trying to use up what is left..know I’ve enough for 2 more Valentine’s Day “some bunny loves you”:will see what scraps will become, if not enough for anything at least i will have occupied myself..

Victoria Harbour, ON

My mess..

Hope my jar to do will be clean living room as it will need it by end of day

Think i will make Ruby’s applesauce cake, find it on my list of comfort food.

I’ll wait till 11am then try to get a call into doctor’s office

Got through to doctor’s office, told her mri has been in almost a week and i haven’t heard from doctor, she said he would have checked it a d nothing likely wrong so that is why he hasn’t called..I broke down crying, said i can’t move from pain inall my bones and that the no news must be good news doesn’t work with me…so gave in and booked a phone appt. Mall walk was slow but uneventful. Lots of kids out sledding on the mall hills.

Victoria Harbour, ON

School cancelled on first day back from Christmas holidays because of snow..if it isn’t Covid closure it snow day..poor parents

No kids out playing here, too stormy..we sure are getting a dumping.

Guy didn’t come who does my drive, waiting for snow to stop I guess but Joe the young man came, did the back, steps, cleared where garbage bins are and cleared off my car..i had made a applesauce cake, just came out of the oven so i shared…
The other half of that pan i will give to Marie and Ted for their coffee, they’ve been out s8nce early morning trying to keep up with shovelling, sure is com8ng down..wow

Thank goodness for Joe..an earthly Angel fir sure..

Just talked to Darlene, they were hit about a mile from them, saw it land..glad they are safe.. many lost their homes.

In between crying, i know, just such an emotional day, I’ve put a piece of fabric on the embroidery machine, every once in awhile i take a ride in chair lift and see how it’s doing.

Well we already have 15 in of snow and it hasn't stopped snowing. Reminds me of winters when I was a kid. Kai is having a blast. He jumped into a build up of snow on the deck and I couldn't see him for a second. Chaos could care less about the snow.

Betty I know this isn't going to make you feel better but I had a MRI on Nov 21 and still don't have the results. I was going to get them this morning but since I had to cancel I don't know when I will get them. The pain is relentless as I know yours is so I understand how you are feeling. I just think and hope that it isn't anything too serious or they would have called. I am so glad you have someone to shovel. I am going to wait until the snow stops which the Weather Liars say that won't happen until tomorrow before I do the steps. The guy who plows won't come in until he is certain the snow has stopped.

Karen good for you !!! 1 lap is 1 lap which is more than you did last week. You should be proud of yourself.

Given the weather I think I will read a brain candy book. I'm positive I have 1 or 2 already loaded on my Kindle.

Susan how are you faring ?

Deb it is a slight blow to your ego when you do something you haven't done in a while and you end up hurting. Sometimes I charge into something that I used to use with ease and the next day I hurt.

LK Del Rio was mentioned on the news this morning. I get a kick out of it as I think I know someone who lives there.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Bit of reprieve right now Dianne but will be short lived I’d say 2 feet for sure..snowmobiling bile clubs won’t be able to say not enough snow to groom..

Lordy, i at least thought Dianne they call regardless knowing how concerned we are..i do hope they can squeeze you in..maybe had you waited for them to call and cancel they might have been quicker to rebook..hope you hear from them shortly with rebook date..too bad they couldn’t have done phone consultation….yes, i sure feel for you all who are undergoing same pain, .

Big sigh once again Dianne, you must be a patient person to be in so much pain and not be calling everyday for results…after waiting 65-6 months for MRI can’t see why we have to wait for end result.

likely Kai is still a pup so he is full of vim and vinegar.

I have my Sony next to my bed but can’t seem to get into reading it.

Meant to say, got my new glasses the other day, no real difference so put them in the drawer and still using my old ones..i am terrible, set them down, scratches galore sooo will baby new ones fir when i go out.

Karen are you feel8ng better for your walks?

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sure hope you both get results soon.
Dianne, what was Del Rio in the news for?
Just got back home from the knee Dr. That steroid shot does wonders.

How long will it last lindakay

I told June and Pat not to come tomorrow, this body pain is different from my shoulder pain..read this article and thought it best they not come just incase

I am getting on here early because I am to tired at night to chat. Our weather is in the low 60s and our lows in the mid to high 40s. We only had freezing temperatures for 3 nights but it sure did a umber of some very special plants. Oh well, I will just grow some more special plants.

Betty, I would be angry also. When I get real angry, I cry. I tell everyone, if you see me crying, run the other way because I am ready to hurt someone. Betty, your valentine material is so red. Beautiful. You and Dianne are getting part of the storm that is hitting the upper NE part of the U S.

My daughter and family came over for diner last night. I made a turkey breast and stuffing and she brought the potatoes and homemade sour dough bread. Grandson Jacob leaves for his mission in a week and will be gone foe 2 years. He is going to Tucson. I like that better than going over seas. Had a nice face time chat with all of the other children and their spouses before dinner.

Karen, that is so good that you are going to the mall to walk. Is it helping you?

I envy your reading. I cannot read. Just cannot put the book down and really screws up my sleep.

We had a young father, 47, die from Covid last week. Only been in the neighborhood for about 6 months. They were just starting on remodeling the landscape. He wouldn't go to the hospital and by the time he did, it was too late. Very successful businessman but no common sense.

Pat, I loved the cover for you made for your sister. That will be something she will treasure for her whole life. And I am so pleased that you and DIL are finally getting together on the relationship. I know you had a hard time with it because none of us on this blog have problems with people. We are people persons So if they have a problem, it is their problem. But that doesn't make it any easier. Praying your son gets the hang of backing up the truck. I have problems backing up my small SUV, so I do understand. Tendency is to jack knife the back trailer..

Betty your neighbors are such great people. You are so blessed to have had them move into your area. I am so sorry your Aunt is getting fragile. The mind is a tricky thing. Vern had so many strange things go wrong with his perception but I just tried to keep him in the right lane gently. I have two neighbors that will probably not see 2023. A young man in his early 70s has Parkinson and a wonderful female, 83, that has a lung disease caused from her early childhood being raised in a mining town in mid Nevada. Her sister has the same thing. They think there was arsenic in the mine tailings the kids played around. Her husband died abut 5 years ago and she told me before Christmas, she was ready to join him. They married right after graduating from BYU. Had 7 children. Wonderful thing was they all came between Thanksgiving and New Years, in separate families to see her but not to overwhelm her.

Dianne, hope you are stocked up on food for you and the crew. Have you got enough wood inside. Do you have anyone that checks on you? My kids check on me because my i watch sincs with theirs. And they can check on my activity level It shows the first time I get up and every time thereafter. Number of steps and activity. And it notifies them if I fall. If I fall and do not tell the watch I am OK, it sends a notification to the guard gate and my daughter and son in law both. So I do feel secure and I wear it to ed at night and charge it in the morning. I figure if I am going to fall it will be at night. It is water proof so I can wear it in the shower but I do not.

This is a metal statue my grandchildren got me for Christmas. Looks just like Cecil. Still missing that little guy so much but he is not longer in pain or sick.

Today was just my third mall walk. I'm still very slow and get very tired. Waiting on a call for rescheduled EGD so maybe it will help. We walked clockwise where everyone else was walking counter clockwise. That way they were not lapping us and as a plus we could say hello to everyone. All are very friendly.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Sharon - that is a beautiful thought, and such a great statue. They're so thoughtful.
Betty, I'm faring better than you, apparently! So sorry to hear of your on-going pain. I'd be upset too, to be in such pain, with no answers.
I've been making bread - regular stuff - cuz I'm being easier on my budget. Homemade bread, and skim milk powder means less trips to the store. I've always had a lot of flour around. Now that I'm using skim milk powder, I'm not drinking the whole milk. Gotta be better on my diet, right? I'll know once the extra weight I put on at Christmas is gone hahaha
I don't go out a lot anyway - Monday morning coffee at the Senior Centre, Tues afternoon at the Library, then Tues evening to bowling. Add in this week's once-a-month Senior's meeting, and that's about it. I was so depressed over the holidays that I really didn't want to go out.
Making 5 or 6 loaves of bread today, using the Bread Booster that works with yeast to make the bread higher, and last longer. Waiting for the 2nd rising before making into loaves. Decided I wanted to make "from scratch" rather than with the bread maker. Not quite so large a loaf. The breadmaker bread is so tall that I cut one slice into 2, to make a regular sized sandwich.
Still have a Wind Warning, but no power outage. They're talking about damaging winds, but no mph speed given. Lots of candles and all types of flashlights sprinkled all over the house, so I'm fine. Right now it's sunny & 28F. Going to the 30's F starting Thurs, until near the end of the month when it'll go to the teens.
As I said, I'm staying home pretty much, reading Diana Gabaldon's newest book "Go Tell the Bees that I am Gone". I got it for myself as an early Christmas present the middle of Dec. She's an awesome writer. I've watched the whole of the seasons on Netflix and read all the books before this. When I'm finished, I'll lend it to a friend (Joan) who also enjoys the series. I was really pleased Diana finally published it. I'd been waiting for 2 years for it lol
I also spend a LOT of time online chatting with Susan in GA. She's pretty much housebound unless her daughter drives her places. Had to pick up her car where it was impounded after the accident. Not sure if it's a write-off or not. For the storm in her area - she said the snow didn't even stick to the ground, all melted.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Injections last about 3 months.
Susan, home made bread sounds delicious.
What happened to Susan in Georgia? Guess I missed that post.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

About 1 week before Christmas, on her way home from work, she was in a multi-car crash. It was about midnight her time , because she works 3pm to Midnight. All she remembers is that the was hit from behind & it drove her into the car in front. She got a fractured rib, which punctured her right lung. She also go a very badly bruised leg & had to get it lanced on the calf to relieve the pressure. She's now waiting for an MRI so they can find out what's up with her ligaments (whether town, or just stretched). She got out of the hospital Christmas Eve, and uses a walker, a travel wheelchair, and oxygen. It may be up to 3 months before she returns to work. In the meantime she's on Short Term Disability.

Morning, neighbour’s were busy last night and early morning clearing their yards, getting ready fir the next fall. Put the garbage bins to roadside,it was bitter cold.

Condolences to the family of the young 47 year old .. so very young, same age as Roger when he passed. Will be heartbreaking for you to lose more long time neighbours,

Wonderful you got to spend time with family in house and virtual…the best to Jacob..what a beautiful memorial gift. So very thoughtful.

Imagine once this winter is over there will be mega spots you will have to replace with new plants, maybe some you have always wanted to try to grow.

Is the Omicron having any effect oat casino’s, are they back working in full swing

Susan, prayers for Susan’s quick recovery..you both have had quite a stressful time..blessed to have each other. Enjoy your bread, had a bread maker but gave it away..wish i hadn’t..something i never made was bread from scratch.

Karen, bet just getting out and seeing people is a blessing..does Walt enjoy walking? Walking against the flow, bet it takes the urge to try and keep up. When do you think your EDG

Mega snow..

moved my car over to where the guy who does my driveway plowed so if he passed by he could clean where my car way and the high banks..
just saw Joe pull in, he cleaned back again, around where the plow guy had left a big bank, widened where garbage bins are and redid my steps…he left before i could reach him..my body sure thanks him

Have to do something special for him..

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Betty, Joe sure has been a blessing to you.
Getting out is very nice indeed, even if just to nod and say a word or two to strangers. The first day we ate lunch out, not possible to do that every time It would be nice if it was.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Well i am glad you are out and about..how far away is the mall fro your home?
can you eat inside at restaurants? Only pick up service here is allowed. Linda, Sharon and I had just began to meet for breakfast when it was cancelled once again.

Playing with blocks, have the embroidered love heart block..not sure where i will go from there..don’t know how on earth you start with a wee bin of fabrics, bstart making a little throw and stash box seems to get bigger

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

Sunday my friend invited me over to use her longarm & try out a pantograph, I have never done that, or even watched it being done, so that was interesting experience. I can see that it would have its benefits. Especially since I like a quilting thread to really blend into the quilt and then it's difficult to SEE it while trying to sew the free motion design. This eliminates that problem. She also sent me home with a large horse print quilt panel. Really pretty!

Today I had a great day. I called my SIL Sharon & we went to Walla Walla together, about an hours drive to go to a wonderful quilt store. I bought what I needed to finish 2 throw quilts (the BOM embroidery projects) and another 1.5 yards for the focus fabric for a simple throw, plus a hard to find color for a panel of horse fabric

Sharon & I went to a favorite thrift store & then out to lunch. Back to house to relax a while & come home.

This evening I spent some time trimming up the embroidery blocks. We are supposed to have at least one of the quilt tops done by our next meeting 2/16. I would like to get at least 2 of them done. I have ordered the backing for the BIG project and it should come in the next few days.

I ordered EQ 8 today. I have wanted that program for years and finally just bought it and a beginner tutorial book for it. That will all come by the end of the month. I do hope it is as enjoyable as I expect it to be. I have had friends say the only program is that they had so much DESIGNING quilts they sometimes didn't spend as fun time actually SEWING the quilts as they used to!

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

Got up and realized that I had not posted, so posted and then went back to read.

Ben & I had a bread maker and used it a LOT while in Othello when the grandson came. He ate a full loaf of bread EVERYDAY while he was with us. We got rid of it afterwards as we just never used it for ourselves.

Karen, got for you on the mall walking. Going counter clockwise was a good idea!

Betty, it is such a blessing to have help with your snow!! God bless them! STILL no answers on MRI?? Gads.

Marie will be here in a few minutes. She will take me to DDS, I needed a driver as they will put me under with general anathesia for the procedure.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Betty the mall isn't real close, 8-9 miles. We can eat inside if we want. All our eateries are open.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Lordy you have been a social butterfly .. you will have to take photo’s of the panel.
EQ8 sounds like something that will fill many hours, as you say, so long as you stop to make quilts.

I enjoy doing pantograph quilting, hoping to do a top that is suitable for it..so did you finish a quilt?

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Years ago I had one the EQ7. I couldn't figure out how to work it. I sent messages to the company, and was told instructions were in a book I had to purchase, and if I wanted to upgrade the program, that would cost too.
S
Thanks for the update on Susan. Sending prayers for a speedy recovery.
I never used it.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning, 1 degree feeling like -4, warm up..light snow, don’t want to get out of practice, might put winter gear on and get some fresh air, bit of shovelling might work out the bone pain..says no snow til Sunday, that will be great for snowmobiles.

I went Pat and checked out your new toy, hope it’s exactly what you want…i think I still have a program on my computer that i bought years ago, hope it wasn’t on old computer, you would take photo of your fabric then it had hundreds of patterns you could see what they would look like and options of using same fabrics..did not though give quilting ideas..

Still sitting quietly upstairs playing with my valentines stash of precaution squares, i have no idea how so little fabric seems to have grown in the process.
If i work a bit on it today and maybe finish just maybe i will look in the st. Patrick’s day mini bin…if someone ever tells me why do you keep buying and what will you do with it i can answer “to keep me busy next Covid outbreak”….

Thank goodness for you all, would have been so difficult to get through these past few years without you all…

Regardless how mundane we think our posts are they are the highlight of someone’s life..a friend at the end end of a touch of the keyboard..so keep posting please.

Been a lonely week this week, wouldn’t have visitors just incase this bone pain is Amicron..very very doubtful but i am not taking chances..

Sharon is go8ng to Barrie vets tomorrow, wanted me to go but i said no outing fir me at least til next week..hoping she can pick up border valentines day fabric and drop it off so by weekend i can wonder where this piece of art will go , then come next year will wonder what to do with that stash 😜

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

I surely understand Betty about chatting. If I didn't have this room and the other house, I would be so very miserable. Online helps me keep in touch with my family but doesn't replace hugs.
Off to do our mall walk.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Enjoy Karen..

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

Oil change, pick up tabs, buy the rest of the fabric, drop by friend's to pick up 2 more blocks, pick up lunch/ dinner & home in time to oversee Aiden's homework. My jaw is aching, the Cpap unit fits right over the portion of my cheek that covers the surgery site, not a good night's sleep.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Busy busy day..yikes, got to wonder is it’s worth using the Cpap machine? Guess if you want to keep breathing it’s a must.. early night for you I am sure. Are the blocks an exchange you are doing?

Been in bed since early afternoon, just got up to put pain patch on, Tylenol 3, cbd oil..hoping between all 3 i can have a good sleep.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I agree, I enjoy everyone's friendship here. When one goes missing for a bit, we all worry about them.
Betty, I don't think your shoveling helped your pain situation.
Please take it easy. Still no results from your doctor?
Pat, hope you are feeling better soon.

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

Sometimes there is a level of sharing online that can be greater than in person. Our family and friends in our immediate/in person life, we want to shield them from our pain, or maybe the hurt they caused. This is a safe place to share those things and a good sounding board or reality check! Isn't that what friendships are made of? Online or in person. .

Our official exchange is over, but I wanted 12 blocks, not the 10 that were made in the BOM. I was going to borrow the matching thread & make my own but Debbie offered up 2 that were already made.

Anytime they work on my teeth I am in pain for days. My jaw does NOT like them in there. Add in actual surgery and it means more of a different pain. It won't last forever. I was surprised they actually gave me some pain killers. It has not been bad enough to justify using them.

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

how are you doing on your quilts Linda?

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

We managed today to walk the entire perimeter of the mall. Before we just walked the main area not the side halls. It was not easy but we did it. I was really whipped but came home and did laundry. All in all a satisfying day.....except for the damned itching blisters.

Las Vegas, NV(Zone 9a)

Karen, I am so like you and probably the rest. If I am working out or walking by someone, I need to pass them or, on the treadmill, walk faster. I talked to myself about it while I was doing it but did not help. So walking against traffic is an excellent idea.

Pat, I have no idea what you purchased but have fun with it.

Betty I am so pleased you have Joe and we all doubted him and he proved the little old ladies we were wrong and I am so relieved he did. You guys are getting so much snow. Could you send some of that to the west side of the Rockies.

I had an eye appointment today and the Dr. asked how I was doing. I told him I could not see with my glasses and he said he would fix that. I kept the same frames and new lenses will be here in 2 weeks. I have a Dr. appointment tomorrow with a new doctor. I will tell you after that appointment. All depends out how the visit goes. Long story.

Weather today was 65 and no clouds. My granddaughter that lives in Grand Rapids had a pip freeze in the ceiling between her apartment and the one above. You know the rest. They are in a hotel. No damage to their belongings but a mess in the apartment.

Betty I have had to block individuals on Facebook because i did not want to get involved with what they were ranting about.

Got on here late and Emma is saying it time for bed. Talk at you guys tomorrow.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning, bitter cold here and will be for next 2-3 days…cold weather alert is on and showing where those who need shelter and meals can go…when i think i have 3 bedrooms, 2 couches and a kind size inflatable floor mattress sure would like to share during this cold. Morning, bitter cold here and will be for next 2-3 days…cold weather alert is on and showing where those who need shelter and meals can go…when i think i have 3 bedrooms, 2 couches and a kind size inflatable floor mattress sure would like to share during this cold.

Sharon, i am indeed blessed..even get daily messages making sure i need nothing..only had a skim of snow last night, wouldn’t doubt he will be here to do it.
Your poor granddaughter, will they have to replace ceiling and flooring?

Gets confusing, with Marie, Jules and Joe all looking after the snow I don’t know who to thank for what..

Pat, when i hear of you speak of surgery and toothaches etc i do not regret having dentures. Very difficult making a blanket with 10 blocks, even numbers..how nice she did them for you.

Karen, wonderful news, not a wonder you are tired, but a good tired right? Is Walt also enjoying it?

Lindakay, are you back on a regular schedule at Fabric shop? Do they have any interesting fun designs?

Yes, tell my friends here much more than i tell my family especially health wise..they have no idea I’ve not been able to get around this past week. Remembered why i haven’t been talking to Joanne since before Christmas, love her dearly, we have same interests but with regard to Covid we can’t even find a happy medium..finally last night i said we best not talk about it, agree to disagree..she said yes but then i get another message on how government killed so many with vaccines that they should be charged with murder , then another message Re shortages in grocery stores, yes the new ruling Canadian and USA border not letting truckers in/out without the vaccines will cause havoc but right now, past several weeks there has been a shortage of drivers because of them having Covid and new variant, then add in a good part of the week of storms, even post office did not deliver mail, you don’t often see that..so i did not reply..big sigh.

Just made myself comfy, brought that arm cushion i use to keep the blanket off my feet to the couch, cleaned my hall closet, foundation heating pad..so here i am pain patches on hips, inner back, shoulders, resting my lower back on heating pad, handful of pills and ready to take on the day..

Looking at my scraps, deciding where to go with last row..

Have some strips about 18 inches in length, might make another ‘some bunny loves you pillow’ and give it to Joe for his wife..she is learning to sew but even someone who sews likes to get a home made gift.

Ziggy just pushed all my cut out fabrics onto the floor…maybe he is telling me he does not like the design I was planning..lol

Betty is sharing her weather and extreme coldness with me.

It is deceiving when you look outside as it is very sunny and bright. Full moon the last 2 nights has been stunning.

The wood stove and carrying wood inside will take up most of the day. I think I will work on a rug hooking project, think about something for dinner (I still have some meals in the freezer made by Kieran's mom) and read. Doesn't that sound like an action packed day ? lol

Too cold for the TH to walk. Chaos is holding up his 1 paw and they haven't been out in their closure for 10 min.

Karen you should be very proud of yourself!! I know we all here are so proud of you for walking daily.

Stay safe, warm and healthy

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Good morning everyone.
I have not been able to quilt my own quilts, so I am having a friend do them for me.
The lady that owned the quilt shop is 74, and getting tired, so she gave the shop to her grandson. He knows nothing about fabric or quilting. He has raised the fabric prices so high, no one will pay it. I was told he will set the prices as to what I charge for quilting. So I told them yesterday, I will finish the last customer quilt, and I will not return.
He had ask me if I could make a panel quilt for the store display. I just needed to add a few borders, then quilt it. He would sell it for $400.00. He would put $100.00 in his pocket, the store would get $200.00. I would get $100.00. I firmly told him absolutely not.
This makes me very sad, as I loved the interaction with the customers as well as doing the quilting.
Guess I will have to find something else to do.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Awww Linda so very sorry. Too bad you have to leave a job you liked. Thinking he won't last very long in the business. Fabric and quilting shops are very much about customer service. Sounds like he just wants to quickly line his pockets. Very soon he will learn a hard lesson.

Betty Walt does enjoy the mall walks. I'm sure he would rather go at a faster clip but he patiently slows down for me. I'm working on adding distance and then I will add speed.

Sharon, I'm very slow as yet so try to stay out of others way. They walk at a fast pace and I'm sure don't need me for a road block. Another advantage to walking against the flow, I can see to get out of their way.

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

Linda, it's a shame that your boss didn't offer to make you a manager & let you run the store. Or at least find someone else who is actually interested in the business. He sounds like poison.
Dianne, I get tired just hearing you feeding that wood stove! That's a lot of work.
Nah Betty, Ziggy just wants your undivided attention & he knows that working on your sewing prevents that!! Eliminate the fabric, and you are ALL his!!! Stanley will sometimes completely clear my cutting table. Fabric, pin cushions, EVERYTHING he can push off.
I've taken to putting everything that would normally sit next to my sewing machine (pin cushion, magnetic pin try, scissors, extra spools of thread & other flotsom, all into a closing shoe box so Stanley won't push them to the floor
Karen, good for you! Careful of those blisters.
Sharon, I hope the quilting program turns out to be as much fun as I think it will be. I hope to do some testing of it by working out a pattern for my friend June. She has a picture of what she wants to make, has bought the fabric & has the inner panel. I would like to draw it up & see how close to getting a good estimate of yardage we can get. THAT alone would make it a very valuable tool.

Marie loved her Loralie scrap box so much that she has already ordered another one! LOL... my silly sister the Grab bag addict.

Hurting today, I've taken my first pain pill since surgery Tuesday & I am headed for a nap.

northeast, IL(Zone 5a)

Linda, what a shame that the grandson can't see beyond the $$$$$.
