Wow Lindakay, best just add a room at that price but you have to really want a machine to do that.. is Todd or your boys good with building?
Embroidere the live hear for Sharon, also need a “some bunny loves you” panel to do a cushion, gave the other away and Sharon in error brought the other top i piece when she grabbed hers yesterday, doubt i will see her this week seeing Graeme her trainer and walker who usually takes Inuk to Westminster Show is arriving within the hour and is spending 3-4 days..puppies are suppose to be born Tuesday to he will help deliver them unless an emergency comes up and she has to get mommy for ‘c’ section so i made another top, will finish it in the morning…if she dies drop in with it always someone I can give it to..
Staying lighter out, usually dark out but it is quite light..calling for more snow tonight and tomorrow, whoopee
Guess it’s time to have that chicken pot pie…was invited to Sharon forz chicken and sliders but i think i will stick with pot pie
Pain isn’t as bad, directions and Parmacy said because of my age best take but one in the morning and one at night so set one right on my bed stand
Yes Karen he is..
Best/Worse/Whar did I learn Today? Chat with friends newcomers always welcome..come sit a spell!!
Oh, what a cutie he is!!
Awe. He will be walking soon.
Can't wait to see the new puppies.
A friend of a friend gave me a vintage treadle singer this afternoon. I was so excited, until I started looking for the serial number to research it. No number, and it's marked made in Japan. Booklet that came with it, says made in 1973.
Guess I need to test to see if it works.
Photo is from the backside. There are 4 drawers in the front.
Linda, I believe that one is called Phoenix because of the decal design.
Not for sure. Having a hard time finding anything on it.
Try Google, I found some there.
Goodness Linda, your requirements are awful!! Here, the sheds can be delivered and placed on pressure treated skids. Therefore, they can be repositioned/moved to new location easy enough.
Off to the mall. Feel pretty good today. Going to try and up my speed a bit. I'm sure hubby is tired of my "stroll". Bless his heart he never complains, just takes good care of me.
Pat, in Texas, and building structure has to be on a concrete base and permanently attached, so the city can charge you for more property taxes.
Morning all,
Everyone seems to be busy this morning..Monday’s are usually slow days but we here are on a roll.
On the cold side but snow is holding off for now but mega dumping later and tomorrow. June just called, she and Par want to come tomorrow a d were checking on how i was feeling, if weatherman cooperates we can enjoy each other’s company.
Wow, now aren’t you a lucky lady Lindakay, beautiful machine and love the woodwork on the cabinet..if it can’t be used it would still make a wonderful side table.
I think our laws are opposite here as well, my shed is on a wooden base so it’s not seen as a permanent structure.
Karen, you sound in very good spirits, you are indeed blessed, Walk is a wonderful man. I as well was going to post ‘I feel good today’ little pain but manageable, so much so i was working in the craft room past hour… just came upstairs to make some blueberry muffins
Enjoy your day
Linda, I am really sorry that a shed was not a viable option for you. Thankfully you knew all that! My friend June, her mother just passed away a few months ago. Her mother owned an older long arm. June & her sister already own longarm machines. I wish I was in a position to consider purchasing it but with my current living arrangements that would not be feasible.
I admire your spirit Karen, good for you!!
I have lots of miscellaneous stuff to do today that I do NOT want to do. Time to buck up and get it all done. I've lost my dental insurance card, I need to make calls and get a replacement. I need to get work scheduled. I need to finish the custom forms to ship stuff to China to 3rd son. So... later friends!
Lordy Pat, bet it was going for a reasonable price..maybe once the kids move..how are they doing about finding
jobs and accommodations or will this be permanent?
Hate those kind of days, spend most of the time on the telephone waiting or them saying they will call you back…
Imagine, it’s 3:00pm and I’m up and at it, cooked a nice ham and scalloped potato supper, thinking of making a salad but will hold off until tomorrow..I’ve enough eats.
I think if i were to add a row of 2”x4” pieces which were already cut up in my box of valentines day scraps to top and bottom then maybe white scrap border i could say good enough, after all it was suppose to be a small throw and it’s been growing.
Funny thing is the box of Valentine’s Day scraps doesn’t seem to have gotten smaller..what is with that
Always seems, the more we cut, the more scraps we get.
Adam is still in class for his Commerical Drivers License and has a couple of weeks left. Andrea is working on her AA and will finish this June; I don't know what her intentions are about continuing school. This living arrangement was NOT meant to be permanent. They need to be out or paying the same as real rent. I do NOT want them to get used to having money and few obligations. They need to learn the art of making a decent income & living within their means.
Lindakay, worked with a tiny little cloth bin, other than using white left over white tone on tones but still you would have thought i would have used at least half the bin but not.
Pat, so hoping things sort themselves out.. yes at some point you will be doing them a favour to have them become independent.
This was the site i was playing with that was free
Could change colour scheme and block size to get an idea what the quit would look like..unlimited designs

Linda - in Canada you have to wait one year of separation before a divorce can be finalized. That would be Nov 8, 2022, because I had him arrested the morning of Nov 9, 2021 and he hasn't been with me since. Now, that being said, if he agrees & says we've been separated longer then it can be earlier. We both know he's not getting back in my life and if he seriously thinks he'll be staying & living with her, he may agree to an earlier date. I haven't gotten the paperwork set up, and need to speak to my advice lawyer to see the quickest & easiest way.
Pat - thank you for your kind words. I really appreciate them more than you know. I know I have support with you all, my dear friends, and it's very important to me.
This morning I went for coffee with my friends at our Seniors' Centre, then at 1:30 I had someone come to my door, ready to take me to volunteer at the Casino. I'd forgotten about it entirely! hahaha I got ready in 10 min (included making a quick sandwich for lunch, then finishing up what I was in the middle of, and we were still in time. This was for our Community Centre to make some funds. We do it every so often - 1, 2 or 3 years in between.
Betty, I tried to play in your link but it would not cooperate with me. Looks like it would have been fun if it had cooperated with me!
My quilt design program, Electric Quilt 8, or EQ8, as it is commonly known, came today!!! I got it installed with a shortcut on my desktop so I am set to play! I will spend a lot of Tuesday working thru the training manual I bought.
Morning s7n shinning through, been awake since 4am watching tv shows, finally at 5:30 decided going back to sleep was not going to happen so up and at it..
Although it looked like the blizzard would bring big time snow fall it did not.. maybe 3” so i went out and did the back area, steps, cleared off the car and got the bins to the roadside after clearing where plow had filled in..doesn’t hurt to get fresh air when there isn’t much snow. Because of the beautiful day i am sure Pat and June will come, be nice to have company.
Well Pat, you let me know how this system works, who knows have a birthday coming up lol
Bet your keeping busy with friends is doing you the world of good Susan, just what you need.
Have to message Sharon and see if Paris is showing signs of going into labour?
Best i take my coffee and a muffin and go tidy up downstairs before the gals come..not sure Ziggy will let me clear off the coffee table thought
Adulting before play, isn't that what I have worked to teach my children & grandchildren? guess I need more practice today!
Marie got her new scrap box from Loralie and she ordered several embroidery patterns as well. Maybe I will have time to get out to see her this evening after working with Aiden on his homework.
Aiden & I reviewed his scores in each of his classes and it looks like he is at an 80% in most of them. That is a huge improvement. I have been reading the same books that he has chosen for his language arts class. It's been fun to read ahead of him & discuss the books when he finishes & writes his papers. I have a few books selected for him to read when he runs out of the series he is currently reading.
Brilliant idea Pat to read same so you know what he is getting out of his reading..kudos to him foe the improvement in grades.
Girls left, i had soup and now babying my ouches..lol
Ohh Pat brought me a big bag of fat quarters, some for all season, when next downstairs i will go through them and see what i can make with them.
While i am laying on the couch with heating pad on my back thinking I might take a nap seeing as I’m Watching Ziggy’s eye getting heavier by the minute, he is tired as well.
Stanley is my napping partner. I sit in the recliner, lean it back, pull up a soft fuzzy blanket and invite Stanley. He curls up on my legs, I read my Kindle and before long I get sleepy, put away the reading & we are both asleep. I wish I had an available plug in for my heating pad. I won't use an extension cord with a heating pad & the closest available plug ins are not available (under/behind my shelving).
Ur furries are all the same, our constant companions..
I use a quality extension cord Pat, never had a problem
Maybe I can look into a super construction grade in 6-foot length. The plug-in is NOT that far away, it's just VERY inconveniently placed!! (Or should I say my 7-foot opening shelving unit that I assembled is inconveniently placed? LOL) I'll send a grandkid in there on their knees to reach back and plug an extension cord in.
Yep, Stanley is an ornery lil monster. He constantly knocks stuff off my desk, chews up ink pens, clears my cutting table and leaves hair everywhere in spite of being brushed. He has also been such a blessing, easing some of my loneliness since Ben died. I would be lost without Stanley.
Would work and think Pat your heating pad has a timer like mine does.. sure helps aches and pain. Yes, Ziggy sure does shed but his company is worth vacuuming the hair.
Sharon is getting concerned, Paris is due todayandnochange in her temperature..think she will drive to Barrie and have progesterone checked.
Been in bed since 3:30, out in cold this morning got the aches and pains going
Guess it will be an early morning as i want to finish the bunny pillow for LeeAnn’s birthday tomorrow..wanted to make cookies and give her a t-towel I embroidered that says ‘made with love and a lot of butter’ so she could have with her coffee in the morning sooo seeing I’m too lazy tonight it will have tone first thing in the morning.
Sharon, zdianne are you both ok?
Made it downstairs to do some sewing today. Not for me, I was helping Jess adding some embellishments to the Winter Guard costumes. Director seems to always have something she needs done every season. I'm sure it's because she knows she has jess and I to do them. Between those and band uniforms, we can be kept very busy.
I got really chilled down there so wrapped a blanket and have my heater going. Trying to warm my bones before bedtime.
Tomorrow is mall walk day but also pay day so therefore shopping day. Suppose I will return home tired and ready to rest.
Morning, extreme cold warning on here..frost bite easily had..
Ohhh, great to hear you got to sew a bit today Karen and for a good cause but worried about you trying to warm yourself up, doesn’t take a lot to get you down..hope this morning You are up to your mall walk.
I just baking 1/2 doz. cookies for LeeAnn, once they are out of the oven i will drop them,my-towel and .’some bunny loves you’ pillow to the office..not sure she will be there today but at least i made effort to make her day a bit more special.
I just started my car, thank gid for auto start..it stays running fir 10 minutes, i will start is again 10 minutes before i leave at least to get the bitter cold a little less shocking when i get in..
Must send message to Sharon to see if Paris had babies..
Betty I am also under an extreme cold warning. I'll have to get out my long underwear and see if I can entice the TH into a walk.
Kai and I have fallen into a delightful habit. He won't touch his kibble until I kiss him on the nose.
Deb are you under a winter storm watch ?
Need to get the TH in from their enclosure. It is far too cold for them to be outside for a long period of time. This haas me rethinking walking this morning. I'll wait until about noon.
Susan it is so good to read you are making positive steps and decisions. You certainly sound more upbeat than you have been for awhile.
BBL
Good morning everyone.
48 here this morning. Only supposed to be high of 58. Still can't complain about weather too bad.
Praying for a quick and safe delivery for the puppies.
Getting ready to meet the quilting group today
Just got back from town, Lordy Dianne, it was -26 without factoring the wind chill so might be a good idea to forgo today’s walk. Ahhh ever so cute, Kai is precious, good company for you.would certainly be nice to be sitting near a roaring wood stove.
Lindakay, enjoy your outing, bet you all thrive on different ideas.
Told my niece LeeAnne she had to be special to have me up before 6 making cookies and finishing off a pillow, got a laugh from her, she loved her presses..Paul my BIL was in the office as well working on advertisement, sure hope his plans bring in clients..was nice seeing him. He said his only outings is when he brings Wilena to her specialist appointments and weekly hospital visits…sad, he was always sooo social, always a gathering at his place on the lake.
Quick drop in to Walmart for a can of hot chocolate..everything was well stocked, she did say though by tonight there will be slim pickings in the meat department, this particular worker was in bakery department and said they have so much supplies Re baking BUT the plastic containers baking goods go in are petroleum based and by end of today they are out. I asked why lots could go in plastic veggie bars and paper bags but she said people don’t want produce smooshed..well it’s smooched or nothing.
Wanted a few towels to do as gifts and couldn’t find any that were not already design stamped but did find some in cleaning area, Clorox product, come in pegs if 2..will be interesting to see how they hold up in embroidery process.
Having hot chocolate, vacuum and dust then my jar ‘to do’ is washing back bedroom floor..as long as I don’t sit for too long might try and sandwhich the valentines day scrap throw, would like to get it done before Valentine’s Day 😜
Betty, Linda - I sound more upbeat than I'm feeling, but......... day by day, right?
Every month, in addition to my pensions (Canada Pension, and Old Age Security) I get the Alberta Seniors Benefits for low income seniors. This month I didn't get it
Should have been yesterday, all my senior friends got it, so I called in this morning, and they said it wasn't paid out this month because of my recent separation. They're updating it to more and I'll get a double pay next month. I told them "that's backward, when I'm making even less now that I'm on my own". They agreed, but that's the way it's done. I suppose if I were deceased, they'd have no way to take it back if I were paid this month......... oh well
That is not good, it’s this month you need it.. leave it to the government..
Sometimes when you put a brave front on it pushes towards that goal but don’t try and be too brave on your own.. hugs as i am sure you need them
How did your walk go this morning Karen and Dianne?
Never did make it out for a walk. Chaos is holding up 1 paw and has been the last few days so we will forgo the walk.
Lazy day here. Managed to get the floors vacuumed and washed. Within a few hours it sure didn't look it.
I've fallen done the Karin Slaughter rabbit hole. For those of you who like to read thrillers her books are great.
LK I don't know why but I always thought Texas' temperatures never got below 60*
Need to get Kai in.... he is telling everyone out on the lake all he knows.
Don't ya just hate when you lose your post before it sends?? LOL
Susan, no one wants you to "fake it" but sometimes just "acting as if" can be a positive steppingstone to better things.. I am pleased to see you getting out and continuing to be busy and involved with life. I know you are in all our thoughts and prayers.
Some workers attitude that we'll just "send both checks next month" just frosts me. That's nice but how would THEY like to have their paycheck held until next month??? Bet they would see things differently!!
I did something I have not done in YEARS. I stayed up all night and read a book. I started it late yesterday thinking it would be a light, quick, sappy love story. Instead it was like looking back on the years between my divorce and remarriage. All the same emotions, actions & insecurities. .It was not a bad experience, just intense.
Phil is doing really well right now so Marie & I are comparing our calendars and hoping to put together 2 nights in Prosser at the quilting retreat again.
Diane, I used to have a horse that would fake being lame if we rode out very far but suddenly was JUST FINE when we headed for home!!
Good walk today. Then we had our monthly shopping to do, lunch and a few other errands. Tomorrow we are picking up freezer beef we ordered. Saw a local place, went a couple times for smaller orders. Best we have ever had and prices to compare with grocery so we made a large order.
Sewed a bit more after we got back but just too cold. I'll go down and finish tomorrow. I have more than half of the costumes done. Only takes me about 20 mins. on each one.
karen, I wish a warmer location could be found for your sewing. I hate to hear you are cold and miserable. Is there no corner on the main floor that your sewing machine could be moved to?? Even if the majority of your stuff was left downstairs?
We do get cold. Usually a few from January through February, our Temps will be ar or just below zero. Usually a light frost, and will warm up during the day.
Last year we had a very rare snow storm for a week during valentines week. A foot of snow, and 11 degrees. Then the whole town lost power for that week. Couldn't find a motel open, due to no heat, lights or water. Let me tell you, sleeping in our car for a week was miserable.
Linda, I'll bet you were wishing for an RV then!!
