You got it to post a pic this time!!

I am on my way to go get my hearing aids. They thought they would have them ready yesterday but didn't finish until this morning and I am FINALLY getting out the door to get them, barely before closing time!

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Pat hoping you made it in time.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Good morning everyone.
Glad to hear you are ok Betty.
Please keep an eye out for blood clots, as that is one of the side effects from the covid vaccine.
Sharon, glad to hear Cecil is home and on the mend. Praying for good test results.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning everyone, heavy rain, will have a lake in front of my bedroom again this mornings grrr

Perfect day to do inside exercise 1 mile workout and get some sewing done..

Yes Pat, seems a flitch from time to time with Dg allowing photos to be accepted
.

What is the weather in your neighbourhood like today and what are your plans for this long weekend, think you in USA have long weekend as well?

Victoria Harbour, ON

Doing fine LindaKay,
Started my day with an exercise, takes 15 minutes, actually enjoyed it, says its equivalent to 1 mile, Marie came over and was interested so did it again, I’m thing I’ll try to do routine of once in morning and once in afternoon.

quilted a bit this morning seeing it’s raining, now cooking lunch then maybe knit for a bit,

Maybe a nap??

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

I did make it in time to get my hearing aids. My sister said Dad had a thing to store his hearing aids to draw out moisture. I never heard of it. I asked them about it and bought one of 3 different kinds they had. We'll see. I think more likely the problem is putting on hearing aids to soon after showering and not letting my hair dry more.

I got 18 more pieces of doll clothes made yesterday. Its been a while since I sewed the doll clothes and I need to do some specialty sewing to get the "Odd size" dolls gone OUT of my house.

I got the altering done for my DIL Carrie & will deliver that tomorrow.

Lordy they are so adorable, some lucky girl will be blessed.

Never thought about hearing aids getting wet, combination of the both will likely do the trick. How about when you buy something and they have those little packages inside to keep dampness out of their product, maybe a few of them in a box might help.

All this exercising has tired me out, had the nap but want to climb into bed lol

Victoria Harbour, ON

Lordy, almost evening, didn’t rain as yet but feel it in the air..one would have to wear a sweater if out for any length of time..

See no person has been on today, you must all be busy..

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Early yesterday someone accidentally cut the main fiber optic cable for our county and parts of two others. Just came back on this afternoon. Sure does mess a lot of people and businesses up. Some had to just shut down.
I went to the laundry to wash our king size spread. Usually I can use my bank card in the machines but not today. Putting in $7. in quarters is no fun. It work to my advantage though. Every 5 or 6 quarter, the machine would register the quarter but then spit it back out. When I put it back in , it registered it again. Kind of fun, like playing a slot machine. LOL

Victoria Harbour, ON

Well that was the pitz, just think of the cost Karen, do they think it was intentional?
Makes for a long day for you..fun at laundromat though..lol what did it end up costing you.

Darts, decided to get in bed, something not quite right with me but if docs say I’m fine i must be fine.

Just got comfy in bed, ziggy came to lay next to me, i was looking for channel changer and didn’t he claw me..put salve on it, yelled at him so likely he will sleep in other room for few hours

Betty, my Peanut does that to me when I am on the computer and reach for something and she is laying near by. She has done it enough that I move very carefully when she is lying next to me.

Cecil's biopsy came back benign. That was great news but it took her over three minutes on the phone to get to the part where it was benign. He is finally eating but still has diarrhea.

We have had rain many times this week and everyone is full of joy. Doesn't help with the low lakes, only snow melt does that, but at least the trees got a lot of dust washed off.

My DIL and GS were here from Spokane for a visit. My has Luke grown. He is youngest grandchild and he is 11. They are coming for Thanksgiving and that will be special because we have not had Thanksgiving together for a long time.

I have not done much today but I better get busy. Day is just about over.

Betty, if you think you feel weird, there is probably something wrong because we know our own bodies.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Great new on Cecil, bet you were on baited breath..
mom’s dog Bella. had tests yesterday and because it took 48 hours she will have to wait til Tuesday ..long wait to be worried.

Be great having them home for thanksgiving..

Ziggy got back on bed but not before i told him he was bad, doubtful he understood.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Betty, please keep those scratches clean. If you're not feeling well, go to urgent care, or ER.
Pat, you have been busy with doll clothes. I know who ever gets them, will be so happy.
Sharon, glad to hear the good news from the vet.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Betty, washing and drying was a total of $9.75. I came home with one quarter. I only have to wash every six months or so. Mostly because of Ducky sleeping there. I have one cut out for us in jewel colors on a black background. Feeling better so maybe I'll work on it a bit more. How's that I feel like sewing again? Even did a bunch of mending today I was fixing pockets on hubby's shorts and then Bryan had a pair of jeans needing a patch. It's not pretty but his hind end won't show at least for as long as the patch holds.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning all, rain is looming, do hope i amd Sharon can do the sewing/fabric garage sale in midland at 8 before the downpour, Sharon needs to take a run to Barrie so i might join her for the ride.

Wanted to mention that i started one of my bags some of you enjoyed and thought you might want to make and started a step by step thread..should anyone be interested…

https://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1551054/

Best i get to my “walk a mile” exercise program which takes 15 minute before i head out

Here is hoping my outing will be filled with fabrics that want to come home with me lol

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I hope you find lots of fabric today.

Karen, glad to hear you feel like sewing again.

Victoria Harbour, ON

There was quite a bit but i only bought 3 yards of pink, never have much pink then we went to Barrie fir a few things Sharon needed and home by 10:30

Cold and weather heavy, i need gas for my lawnmower seeing my riding lawnmower isn’t back yet, trying to decide if I want to go get gas and do it or wait, big decision.

Yes it is nice to hear Karen talk about sewing, i image it saddened her not to.

Going to have chicken souvlaki and rice for supper, just bought corn off of local farmer, that will be lunch today and lunch tomorrow..

What to do, what to do???

I’m debating but what are you all doing??

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Glad you found some fabric.
We are getting ready to go have lunch somewhere. Then to get groceries.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Got some bad news so just laying here..

When a was recreation coordinator i hired a young teen to do outdoor rinks, later hired him for community centre and indoor arena manager..during that time he volunteered for Georgian bay fire department, later went to school and became fire chief for mcdougal township. I worked with his mom at township, his dad was lickmaster for Trent waterway, got to know him quite well…heard Brian passed away at 54 from heart attack..so very sad, he always had my back…..a

Died a day or two ago, with being housebound because of COVID takes a bit for news to get around..will call Valerie, am sure she is devastated.

Just after roger died, actually it was March 2nd, i was having a hard time, Greg was out snowmobiling and he was in a snowmobile accident, actually it involved our best friend, anyway call went to fire department rescue who also served as rescue services, when Brian heard who was in the accident and called his mom..i had company most of the day, last of them just left when valerie’s call came, she wondered if she could drop in seeing it was my birthday, i did everything to tell her not to come but she was coming regardless.

As soon as i saw her i knew something had happened, before she could tell me call came to say accident was Greg, come to hospital..Valerie drove me, i kept saying he would be dead when i got there primarily because he had been in an accident earlier in February, a pressure crack in the ice, he said his dad was lonely and wanted him to join him sooo i was in some state when i got to hospital..pretty bad head concussion, friend Harvey, Rogers best friend got worse of it, face laceration, couple of surgeries on his jaw..thank god for Valerie..

So sorry to hear that Betty.
Sending our condolences and prayers for all.

Las Vegas, NV(Zone 9a)

So sorry to hear about your loss Betty but pleased you are feeling well enough to go to town. I am on here purportedly to check on your well being.

Karen, good news you are feeling like sewing. That is a good sign.

Linda, we have another cloudy day here and our high will be 93. 93 degrees is heaven.

Cecil is getting better but threw up his breakfast this morning. He gets his stitches out Tuesday.

We are getting ready to have rain again. I can hear thunder and lightening but I think it is in the mountains close by.

Betty I meant to comment on your neighbors garden on your property. What a beautiful gesture and you get to see the flowers and such and not do the work. Maybe offer her more of the property. especially the drainage ditch.

I laugh when I think about the lot we chose to build our home on. If I had chose a golf course lot, I would be gardening the rustic looking side yards of the golf course and it would be covered with wild flowers. I told my sister after our trip to Oregon, later in the year, I was driving to Ventura and redo her back yard. That way she could sit out there and enjoy all of the landscape. I told her I would bring my tools, my checkbook and we could have fun.

First photo is a bouquet my grandson brought home after a big wedding he helped with. Second photo is flowers rearranged in a gravy mote from my dinnerware because the roses had deteriorated but the mums were still perfect. Friend, that was Vern's caregiver, comes by on Saturday to say hello and she did the rearranging.

Pat, please enjoy your visit.

Sharon, it was 99 here today, but felt like 106 with the 40% humidity. Too hot for this old lady.
Beautiful flowers.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

It was a bit cooler here today. Nice for sitting out at great grands 1st b'day party. Enjoyed visiting with family.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning, rained early morning, overcast and I’m wearing fall clothing..much more to my liking than your weather.

Kyle came last night and took all that was personal on old iPad and has it set up fir Marie, here is hoping she can get wifi in her home.

Always makes your day visiting with the kids Karen.

You ac must be working over time lindakay, bet your gardens are beautiful, inthis humidity they must think they are in the tropics.

So funny Sharon you mention increasing the size of the garden, last night i was thinking if we brought it up to where the arch and bench are it would really be nice,,might encourage her come spring to do so lol..ohhh Sharon, she must have taken you up on your bringing your bank book..lucky thing…

You did a great job with the flowers, do you bring in flowers inside from your garden?

I have been doing so, will go out ina bit and fill a vase, mfall has indeed set itself in my gardens so why not cut and

Getting ready to go to Sharon’s to see puppies before the are gone..pickups gas for push mower and maybe by this aft i can cut grass

Las Vegas, NV(Zone 9a)

Had another flood watch today but it fizzled out. Someone got rain, but my garden didn't.

Cecil is driving me crazy. Would not eat breakfast this morning and then threw up later in the afternoon. Just bile. But he has plenty of energy and we had a nice walk.

With all of the rain, my garden again looks like a jungle.

Here is hoping everyone had a good Sunday.

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

Stanley is too needy for me to sit and type, so will just say, I read to catch up. Had a lovely visit. Dana helped me fix one of their kitchen drawers & I hung a bathroom organizer but other than that, we talked, napped and read. Laziest I have been in ages!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning all, sunnis shining , wayyy too wet to cut grass so that will be this afternoons job.

Know what you mean Sharon about the jungle, m with you, so much green out there after all the rain we’ve had, i bet your gardens are glorious, rain, sunshine, rain sunshine…

I will try and get my boys here one day come fall and cut down some limbs, need sunshine back there. Maybe Cecil is. Getting over his procedure, he seems to be enjoying your walks.

Glad Pat that you got away and relaxed, you will have to do that more often. Likely Stanley is thrilled to have you home.

Kathy dropped in last night for a visit, she was here an hour and talked an hour, i wouldn’t be fibbing if i said i might have gotten in a dozen words..know it’s hard on her looking after her mother with Alzheimer’s and her sister saying she is not doing a good job when in fact she is great and should be commended..ndidnt mind listening as she needed a friend to vent with.

Then didn’t i get one of those pop up Facebook photo’s they send you even though you are already friends, it was of Brian, big sigh.

Sharon ordered Friday her Eskimo logo from a designer fir $70 USA, she asked for a 3” which she got is is beautiful, she finds it a tad small so I’m sipping on coffee and will see if i can enlarge, add stitching to increase the enlargement..when we were in Barrie Saturday we dropped into Michael and she bought 4 lovely white bags, when the people pick up dogs soon she wants to fill bag with toys (which we bough);type of food the eat, birth certificate and paperwork on their official registration so think that will be my morning ‘to do’ by then grass should be ok to cut..hoping to get my riding lawnmower back this week but not so much the $500 bill..

What are you all up to today

A&A still do not have everything moved out of Wooten. Adam called me while I was in-route home last night to ask when I would be home & would I get Sam to practice in the morning, help with Alex. He was headed back up to Wooten last night.

Sam & I hope to get a new whelping box made or at least the old one "remade" with good vinyl flooring over new wood. I guess it depends on whether I have enough wood to make a temporary "holding pen" while we work on the other.

Stanley is extra needy of course and i am trying to meet his extra needs!

We have a patio dog door, one of those things that slip into the existing patio sliding door area, makes the door opening for humans smaller but results in no construction functional dog door. Unfortunately it does NOT seal well and their living room and "our" kitchen are literally covered in dirt. I am going to work on that today as well.

Wish me luck... anything to get this mess more livable. I am grateful for my sewing room & bedroom, ALL behind a closed door. If I could find a better way to access my living space and never entered shared space, I would. Soon they will completely moved in, the puppies will be old enough to sell, and things should improve!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Omg dear lady, i really could live like that, anything out of,place I’d be complaining big time so you are a angel…

Can’t get my push mower to go, starts but won’t stay running grrr

Made 2 of Sharon’s bags, she dropped in, loved them and took 2 home so i might as well get a move on and finish the other 2

Going to play with quilting rulers, bought the foot and 8Specialty ruler ps over 5 years ago, going to try

Was just telling Marie, it feels like a September day, even the quietness of the neighbourhood feels like it..it’s a coming

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Oh Pat, you do have the patience of a saint. We've shared living space a few times. Some days you just have to go for a drive or something. We have basically our own space here which is good, but sometimes........ Our biggie here is different standards of clean. We just close our eyes and ignore. Keep our area the way we prefer.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I went to.our quilting group today. Had a nice visit with everyone.

Now we have 2 saints, nope i just KNOW I’d not keep my mouth shut and out they would go, good for you gals..

Oh lindakay i love your quilt, blues are striking..nice to have a visit, I’ll be doing same when i get a call my machine is ready for pick up, always nice talking and getting ideas from other sewers..

I had planned on cutting grass, push lawnmower wanted to start but would, 3 make neighbours checked it out,,carburetor not working so spwill get Brian to have a look, I’ll call repair shop tomorrow and see how long they think it will be to get the part for my rider..

Was doing the 4 bags for Sharon, got 3 done, the fourth had a spot of oil or something on one side of it so Sharon said she will return it and get a replacement so that was that

Wanted to do ruler work but the day has almost ended so i think i shall go downstairs and turn all the lights and tv off, tomorrow is another day.

Sam got the puppies bathed, I got the temporary box made. We got the wood whelping box bottom replaced & lined with linoleum. I know it is NOT quite how Adam wanted to do it. HE can redo it himself and buy his own lino. This is what I bought and what we did made it 5x better than what was original. YES, it is not quite as nice as what Adam wanted to do, guess he will just have to do that himself!! LOL

Our quilt shop has a computer program that will re-digitize a pattern bigger. I don't know what that would cost to have done. I wonder if you have a shop that will do it? the bags sure look nice but I agree, a bigger embroidery would have been better.

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

Linda K , your quilt is beautiful!!!
Betty, don't ya hate it when our machines don't work??
Sharon, sounds like on the whole Cecil is doing a little better, step by step.

My son's cat, Farroo is not doing so good right now. He is an older Maine Coon, VERY long hair and prone to hairballs and blockage. He actually cuddled up to me several times this weekend, allowed me to pet him. THAT is something he never does to anyone but Dana & Carrie!! In fact he drew blood when Carrie's friend got up close and personal next to his tower. She knew better.... guess she needed a reminder!

Las Vegas, NV(Zone 9a)

Cecil was actually anxious to eat this morning. He ate breakfast on Saturday and threw it up. Sunday did not eat breakfast. Today he was happy and bouncing around while I was making his breakfast. He gets his stitches out tomorrow.

We had rain just about every day last week. It was wonderful. Now we are back in the high temps. Going to be 108 on Thursday and that is the day I usually garden all day with my garden helper. Not going to do that this week.

Linda, that is a beautiful quilt and you look great. I saw on the news that you are was going to get some of our flash floods.

I drove my car around in the rain and then drove it back into my garage an wiped it down. Dogs were in the garage with me and it was pouring. All of a sudden we had a lightening/thunder, just about simultaneously. Sounded like it was just above the house. We closed the garage door and headed inside.

Karen, you sound so good. So pleased you are feeling better

Betty, mowing a lawn is one thing I have not done for years. I will garden until I fall over but I will not mow the grass. And I have no idea why not. Your bags are beautiful.

Pat, I am with everyone else. You are an angel. So pleased you had such a wonderful visit and total relaxation. My DIL tried my cauliflower potato salad and said she could not tell the difference.

Hugs to all of you

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

Sharon, WHAT a relief!! I am so glad to hear that Cecil is recovering.

Our air quality if AWFUL right now. The wild fires of Oregon are spreading smoke and smog-like conditions all across lots of Washington.

NOT an Angel, an idiot. I committed to 2 years, I will try REALLY hard to hold to that. A lot depends on how well they listen when I tell them certain absolutes. I understand normal wear & tear but I won't tolerate careless stupidity and thoughtless abuse. Their cat has already been banned to outdoor 100%. It was an indoor/outdoor but she can't seem to get the hang of using her litter box or using the great outdoors. She has had multiple chances to clean up her act. They have experienced the same problems before at their house, not tolerating it at mine.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

We have had several alerts to flash flooding, but the storm gets within 5 miles and either splits and goes around, or it just disappears.
Sounds like Cecil is on the mend.

Las Vegas, NV(Zone 9a)

TWO YEARS. OH MY, YOU ARE OUT OF YOUR MIND. Pat, my DIL sent me a photo today of Luke, GS, in the house putting together a Lego. In the house day because of the smoke.

We had a nice walk and he ate all of his dinner. Still has diarrhea.

Linda, that happens here all of the time. Big time warning and then nothing. I just wanted the clouds. Rain is a blessing but clouds allows you to go outside and not melt.
