omg - 2 story fall? It IS a wonder she survived.
Sad about Sissy - hope she responds well to chemo.
Dianne - how's Chaos doing? I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't the heat. Is he drinking lots of water?
Linda - glad there's no infection. How're you feeling?
Betty - poor Sharon. She must be beside herself re: barking & Inuk's health.
Pat - I'm glad to hear that all the puppies went. It'll be so much quieter lol
It's pouring out tonight. Too little too late, for the farmers. Their crops were either hail damaged or the drought stunted everything.
Off to Red Deer on Friday for my annual EchoCardio, Yard Sale on Saturday, then Sunday we're gone camping for 5 days. Busy week, organizing everything for the sale.
Best/Worse/What did I learn today?Chat with friends old & new..
Morning all, almost feel it is late afternoon…been up since 5am and haven’t stopped, just making chicken, tomato, rice soup, been missing having some frozen to take out for lunches..got 2 1/2 hours of watering and will get same later tonight.
That was a long day for you Lindakay, San Antonio is quite a distance..here is hoping the new diet and more testing is all you need to get well..hope you don’t have to wait long for your test. Rest, rest, rest!
Pat, enjoy your time away, haven’t gotten back to last few instructions on bad tutorial but will over next few days.
Sounds like all is well in your world Susan, sure hope that is the case. Let’s hope your test come back with good results.
There was a sale at Foodland on Pepsi, sale started thursday but truck broke down so tried a few times, still not in, finally this morning i managed to get 4-6 packs..while there the manager was outside near plant stand and i said omg those plants need a good home so he told me to take one..if i purchase a geranium plant or plant of colour it will be gorgeous..perhaps I’ll go tomorrow and tell him how well it’s doing and maybe I’ll get another lol
My youngest grandson’s birthday today..Caleb i think is 22, maybe 23…
Think i will bring Linda’s plank out on front porch and paint….that is kind of a form of rest right?
Yes, painting plank is one of your more restful activities Betty!! Not sure when Marie will get here, getting Phil ready and then packing (she NEVER packs the night before) could take her a while! Back late Wednesday.
Not sure why, is it me or is everyone having problems with posts goes MIA??
Hot day here, was up at 5am, got garbage to roadside, watered gardens and raked a tad..
Pat couldn’t come this morning up June did a so we had a nice visit
After having doc say they didn’t get results Re urine sample, a doctor i have no clue who he is called to see if my uti had cleared, said my dr’s office knew nothing about the results?? Anyway he ordered meds, i went to pharmacy and apparently they do not carry so waiting to hear what the alternative med is so guessmanother trip to pharmacy when they know what to give me.
In the meantime i could so have a nap..maybe because of that 2 mile exercise lol
Betty - my world is "day by day". Not all is perfect, but we're working on it. I still can't go to the Tuesday Social Group because Naomi has been invited to join by another of the group who's teaching beadwork. I know beadwork anyway, but we are (by law) not to have any contact with Naomi. Ah well, I have other things to do to keep busy and I don't want her in my life anyway.
We all go day by day Susan, your group as much as you love it can be set aside for now.as long as you are both trying that is all that matters, took awhile to get to the point you were at so mega time to get to where you want/need to be.
Almost at my 6 mile, better be worth it lol
Need to lose another 10 pounds
Betty, hoping you get results and meds soon.
Susan, don't give up. Keep pushing through to make things work.
Morning, we so need rain, hardens and lawns almost done in
They did not call me to pick up my meds, I’ll have to call at 9:30am
Linda says she will be here at 7am to work on her projects, was worried about driving in a thunderstorm, not likely that will happen..don’t like the feel like 104f
How do you all do it, rather have snow..yep that white stuff
Not too many have gardens here in Texas.
Many grow drought tolerant plants, like pride of Barbados, cactus of all kinds, roses. Although the freeze we had in February killed my roses this year. Lots of the palm trees down here were killed by the freeze as well.
Oleander is a strong plant that is drought tolerant, and the freeze did not affect them.
Scorcher here too. Somehow I find today's heat unbearable and I don't see the TH disagreeing with me. We've holed up downstairs and I think we will sleep down there.
LK how are you doing ?
My computer is telling me it is raining now - not a drop in sight.
I have a volunteer tomato plant right beside the stairs to the front door. I have no idea how that happened other than birds. I'll coax it along although I think it is flowering too late in the season for me to get any tomatoes.
I feel like I could nap but will not or I will be up all night.
Stay safe, well and cool
Wish you could get some rain.
I am doing much better. I just need to stay on the clear liquids for 2 weeks, and take my daily prilosec.
Dianne, not a bit of air to take in, it’s the humidity, we are not used to continual heat warnings.. you are right, only job you can be wrong 99% of the time and still keep a job..looked at radar, weather warning Re thunder and lightning has passed us by..shaking my head, no rain for me.
Lindakay, hope you are feeling better and i will go in search of plants you mentioned to see if any can grow here
I've added Bob to the LegalShield account I opened in May, and he'll be talking to a lawyer soon.
I started to post this about 5 hours ago, and forgot to send it LOL
Afternoon, busy morning
Sharon and i picked up about 10 old windows a few doors from me for Charlene, i had 3 large ones to add to the pile, we delivered to Charlene, am sure she will spend winter painting on them, got 2 windows i wanted from her that I’m hoping to hang from front deck and off to Barrie we went.
Sharon’s daughter i believe it was Tuesday asked if she could make the giraff baby quilt for her friend, what she omitted was telling Sharon shower is Saturday..luckily had had cut the giraffes fir 2 quilts so the cutting she didn’t have to do,she broke her toe yesterday but was a trooper, got the top done.
After stopping at Bernie’s we headed to fabric shop so she could backing, found some same as pieces she has in front panel, happy camper but the best was when i spoke to the machine technician and he told me that the husqvarna did not need cleaning and that the embroidery arm had embroidery thread fibres caught in the cog…imagine when he said $20+taxes, Lordy can hardly buy a coffee and a treat that it isn’t $20
Sharon said let’s go to breakfast my teat..ohhh took her up on that..would have said no but saw her give crew working on her drive $7,500 putting large stone slabs along easy entry so while she was in paying mood i said OK
Then on the “hush, hush” sideMelanie called to say Destiny has been having pains, maybe today I’ll be a great grandma, yippee…if she dies have it today I’ll win 1/2 the baby birth pool, that would be nice lol
Susan, why will Bob need to go see a lawyer?? If he dies hope it’s in your best interest.
Not sure what i want to do today, could try a test on who’ll for baby announcement??
I am feeling better. Still can't eat solid foods.
I know everyone is anxious waiting for the new arrival.
I’m a great grandma, first think i did was burst into tears, Roger missed so much, birth of his grandsons and now great grandson
Just born photos
Now going thru tests, Kyle hasn’t held him yet, Greg and Mel still in parking lot, Kyle and her mom allowed in, because he was born after 8 they have to wait til morning..they are so dissapointed
Very cool, Betty is GREAT, great grandma!! That baby has BIG fists!
That really odd about the UTI results, I wonder who was wrong?? If your MD said you did NOT have UTI? Or just didn't call with results?
Linda, glad to hear you are feeling better even if you can't keep solids down yet.
Dianne, don't ya hate it when you WANT to nap and don't dare??
Susan, I am glad to hear you are still plugging along. Best of luck to you both.
My nephew Chris (Marie's son), his wife just tested positive for Covid. They have NOT had the shots & are adamantly against them. Guess we'll see how this pans out.
Marie & I had a great time at the sewing retreat Inn that we rented, stayed 2 days. I took up fabric and patterns and came home with 1 complete top & 1 well started. Life would have been easier if I could have used the pattern "as is" but they were both too small etc and had LOTS of measuring, figuring & graphing to do before I could cut anything.
Congratulations, Betty!! What a beautiful baby!
Congratulations Betty. He looks big, nice and healthy.
Congratulations Betty.
He looks big, nice and healthy.
I am feeling much better.
I am not allowed solid food till next weekend.
Congratulations to a GREAT great grandma !! I stole Pat's line as I know this baby will be loved by you Betty and all of your family. How I wish every child born would be blessed with such a loving family.
Much cooler here today. Windows are wide open and a nice breeze coming in.
Put on my plumber hat yesterday and managed to get 2 drains that wouldn't drain to open up. Hip hip hurray for Liquid Plumber!! It works so much better when you read the instructions.
Glad to read you are feeling much better LK.
Stay safe and well.
Morning, of course i didn’t sleep much, up early and now waiting for Greg and Mel to pick me up..because of Covid still not sure i will get in as numbers are so limited but i will go JUST incase, if not I’m sure they will be home later today or tomorrow, they do not keep babe and and moms very long anymore..
Quite a breeze out there, would have been nice working in the yard, perhaps later..
Lindakay, what is next in the process? Good you are feeling better but still take it easy
Deb, thanks so much for well wishes..how is Sissy?
Karen, you should be home soon after enjoying a wonderful vacation.
Pat, you will have to post photo’s of your projects, did you sign up for another?
Dianne, here is hoping you are getting this kinda fall day…th will love their walk today.
Oops time to go
Kyle looks very nature with that beautiful baby son!
After my 2 weeks are up, I can eat baked or grilled foods only. Nothing greasy, fried or spicy. I will be learning to eat all over again.
Please don't stop posting baby photos. I love them all.
So glad you got to go in and hold that precious one.
Morning all, wind is up and feels like rain, here is hoping we get it..
Got a message few minutes ago from Mel..they aren’t saying anything but..here is her post
They aren’t home yet. Baby’s breathings as too fast so they put him in the icu for the night and did some tests. But we did go back last night took them
Supper and had a cuddle
Lindakay i know i did not end up back in hospital every other day/week since i got off the greasy food and other..slice of bacon, wieners , sausage, Kentucky fry chicken does me in immediately so get used to your diet and find the good things,,i watched a show last night that if you eat tomatoes and have arthritis you sure are making things worse…I’ve been living on tomatoes.
Linda will be here any minute, best i have toast and coffee
Sending prayers for your great grandson.
I was told that I can't have things like tomatoes, pineapple. Things that are acidic.
He's such a big healthy looking baby, not at all what I would expect at ICU. Prayers for your family.
Still in ICU
Destiny was running a bit of a fever, they put Kyle and Destiny in a quarantined room because of Covid concerns..waiting for tests, she can’t see baby
Pumping milk and giving it to baby but they are distraught..because of being discharged the will have to have meals ordered in and nursing staff bringing it to them
Big sigh
We were also warned to stay home as we had visited..
Linda was here when Melanie dropped in from hospital so she also will have to be cautious for 48 hrs
Oh Betty that must be hard for Destiny and Kyle not able to see the baby. How do you like being a GG ? Hard to keep away I bet.
I'm really sleepy but don't dare have a nap. I didn't sleep at all last night so it will be early to bed tonight.
Listening to music from the 50's and 60's on PBS. Since my brother and sister were almost 12 years older than me all of that music from the 50's is something I enjoy.
Well Kai got his first battle scar. He just pushed Chaos too far. Kai has a tooth scrape on his snout. Served him right. Chaos usually plays with Kai or just ignores him
Oh LK it must be hard not to be able to eat tomatoes. I've tried to find some heirloom tomatoes but so far haven't found any.
Expecting rain - you too Betty ?
Dianne with all in hospital quarantined wether or not we want to visit with baby we can’t, must be hard being doors away from him and can’t see him..because not officially on record as patients the are ordering from a special service, we can’t bring them food, has to be sanctioned by hospital so special delivery service..said I’d treat to breakfast!
Linda was here when Melanie dropped in with news so she and i will stay away from people just incase..better safe than sorry.
Got a call riding lawnmower is ready for delivery Monday..was a message and they did not leave how much..I’m thinking $600+tax..we will see
This is the wood piece we did for Linda’s daughter, my goddaughter, double sided
Dianne again next door there was a band, music from 50-60’s, we loved it..1-4pm, passed the afternoon while painting..as for rain maybe 50 drops.
Do you think Kai learned a lesson?
Next w
Sorry to hear he is in ICU. Keeping everyone in our prayers. How much did he weigh when born?
Love the painting.
I used to love to watch my nephew's Great Danes give the rescue dogs lessons in manners. When a newbie was inappropriate, one of their dogs would put a paw on Newbie and hold them down. If could be guaranteed a dog as well mannered and mild as those 2 Great Danes, I would have to seriously consider it !
Fun signs, I have never had a lot of "holiday art" but will have even less over the next 2 years.
My SIL came by to tell me that she will be fired in Oct for not taking the vaccine. While I don't agree with her choice to not take it, I at least respect her. She will have to tighten the money purse strings, she is only 63 and not yet eligible for Medicare so paying for private insurance will be expensive.
Pat, many are being let go here as well, believe nursing, police departments, not sure school boards yet? I think many restaurants and bigger chains stores will join in …
Lindakay he was 7lbs 3 oz..19 inches
Prayers being said for the baby.
Another hot humid day here. I usually make my grocery run early Sunday mornings, but, this is the coolest part of the day, so I've got all the doors and windows open with fans running in them. When I go out I'll need to close up the windows facing the street/sidewalk. so I want to get in all the cooler air I can before I leave.

Betty - congratulations to you, Great, Great, Grandma!!
Bob needs a lawyer because Someone of our neighbours called the police and reported that Bob not only raped Naomi, but that he's been having affairs all over town. I was told this by a friend of Naomi's. 1. Bob would no more force himself on anyone (he's a gentle person), than pretty much anything you could think of that's wrong "that way". 2. It wouldn't be like him to be running around all over town. I've known the man for 1/4 century. These are outright lies. The police rushed her to the hospital to check, and found no signs of sexual activity, interference or consenting.
She'd been contacting him (he hasn't been answering her calls), and she waves to him in the street and calls out "Hi Bob". There is a No Contact in place, until his court date of Sept 20th. He went to an earlier one, but the doors were locked & no one was at the courthouse. I didn't find out until afterwards.
btw - the woman who told me all this and is Naomi's friend say that "Naomi will be very happy" when I told her that he was going to be not getting away with him not telling me the whole truth. She said that Naomi will "wait for Bob forever if necessary". Bob admits that he let his involvement with her (helping her out with renovations, and looking after her dog) went too far and she's now infatuated with him. Not surprising, since he helped her get her abusive father out of her life. He went too far in helping her & now she's latched onto him
I have had several very serious chats with Bob & tbh - I believe him. As I said, I've known him for a long time. I can tell when he's hiding the truth from me. He says he knows my feelings about her, so he didn't want to talk about her with me. Ok - understood, but I told him he HAS to confide in me, his best friend, and he's promised he will, from now on. He understands that not talking to me made it worse, after the fact. This "friend" of Naomi's is really trying to get me riled up, and friankly, I don't trust a word she says anymore. She's the one who's bringing Naomi to the Wellness Group that I USED to attend. I can't go because of the No Contact order from the police. There is to be No Contact between our households or friends, to do with Naomi. So, I've lost a Tues afternoon social time with friends. If they don't see this, then Tough.
My big concern is that if the police & court see Naomi as a challenged person (registered as such) without the ability to deny these charges, Bob may be convicted on here-say. As I said, no proof, just a phone call from a neighbour.
I've been told Naomi has nothing bad to say about Bob, and nothing good to say about me. She's apparently hoping I'll kick him out because I believe what her friend is saying, and he'll go running to her.
I will stand by the truth, and my man.
We're still waiting for the call from the lawyer, and we have marriage counselling on Sept 7th.
btw - today we're going camping for 5 nights. Our RV is all set up with all water capabilities - kitchen water, shower, bathroom sink & toilet. Plumber in the area did all the work - labour AND parts, for $136.00.
Oh, we had a yard sale today. Same day as our hamlet had a Gun Show & an Antique Car Show, so our sale was very well attended. We made $212 clear! People started showing up at 8:30 for a 10-3 sale........ I was barely awake, with no coffee & no breakfast. Until 5:30pm, the only thing we had to eat was a small tub of yogourt, and coffee. We needed a break, so went for dinner across the highway and had chicken & fries. Tasted good, and was a well-deserved break. After all, 8:30am to 4:30pm (when we got finished packing up) was a long day. A friend dropped off some of her stuff for us to sell. Not a lot, so not much of her stuff got sold. About 75% of what didn't get sold of ours will be taken to our local thrift shop. Including fabric lol I did keep some.

Susan, Naomi is a liar, likely her friend is a liar (birds of feather, flock together). I do hope that Bob is not denying now that his relationship went as far as sexual contact voluntarily much earlier. . Naomi is BAD news and has proven she will do WHATEVER it takes to get what she wants. I am so sorry that you & Bob have ever gotten connected to this woman.
