Doesn't sound like she is resting at all.
Susan, thanks for checking in. Sounds like you and Bob are doing well.
Praying the borders open up for you and Betty.
Best/Worse/What did I learn today??come chat a spell, newcomers always welcome...
i was thinking exactly the same thing. Trees, tree limbs, and etc. What are you doing and when are you resting?
My regular Saturday visitor came today and helped me give the dogs a bath. She went for a walk with me and the dogs and I had to contact the roving guard because she could not manage the heat and her hips hurt and could not continue. She is 4'10" and weighs 190. She went on the Keto diet when I did bu didn't make it. She actually gained weight. Keto is high fat and low carb. So if you cheat with carbs, you will only gain weight. But it was easier for me because I only had me to feed and didn't bring anything home that was not on the plan.
The hummingbird feeder is a big success. The bully hummer came about 3 times this morning to look it over and then decided it was safe to eat from. Then spent the rest of the morning chasing the other hummers away.
I went to HD to get some spray paint and they were just about totally out. So I stopped by the grocery store and got what I needed for my cauliflower (potato) salad. Never made this one before that should that be interesting.
Also going to make the strawberry cream cheese cake I truly enjoy.
We are suppose to have rain some time every day starting tomorrow.
Susan, so pleased you and Bob are going camping. Make sure you let someone know where you are going. Just in case you have a problem and need help. Have fun. Great news on the trip to see your friend in Georgia.
They said on the news today that the Toronto Blue Jays are coming back to Canada to play.
I have to take he dogs for their evening walk. Clouds have moved it so it should be good.
I tried for 2 months to get the color of spray paint I needed from Home Depot and gave up. I had a can of darker pink, used it instead of waiting and waiting, hoping it would be in the next shipment.
Morning everyone, likely to be a sunshine day hooray!
Lindakay and all, to tell the truth I did keep busy yesterday morning but I don’t think I overdid.
Pat I bought a can that was supposed to look just like rusted art, nope it doesn’t look much different than regular spray brown, will go out and give another coat perhaps I didn’t shake it enough then I want to glue the solar lights in it and put it back in the garden.Hard finding spray paint and colour if you want as they only have basic sprays too bad it wasn’t like paint where you can give them a swatch and they mix it to match, I did that yesterday got a test jar because when we did the floors under the window a big section of what was wallpaper came off so I’m going to try and Dr. it up, will put that on the first screen day to do. Lol
Bernie just called,I had wood out to make a little bbq stand, never use the small counter size type because I had nothing to set it on, told me to rest and he would do it..nothing creative, just a 2x4 stand..I will take a run in the morning to get it.,would go tonight but I don’t want to miss Kyle, want iPad programs moved tomynewone..,he didn’t say which day so best I stay home incase
Sharon said she had a couple who had one of her dogs for 14 years and lost it two years ago due to health reasons so they are coming up and would really like to get one of her dogs. Sharon said they were so good with the dog that she will give them first pick, doubtful you can go home with them they will have to come back up and get it when it’s ready to leave the fold.
Sharon Looks like the three of us are into spray painting objects, we will have to have a show and tell
Yes, great news, heard BlueJays will be able to play on Canadian soil..do you watch Baseball? You are ina cooking mode, I’m thinking seeing I forgot to buy shortcake when I got strawberries I just might bake a while cake, it’s would do the trick
They are calling for two or three days of rain this week so I am thinking although I cut my grass Friday to cut it again if I find time.
Next door neighbours dropped off a piece of rusted art for me, just live it, must find a good location for it.. seems this week I’ve been extra spoilt..
Have wood pieces on front deck and started to work towards supporting the front deck water feature, is on my weekly lust of to do’s, wood is cut, thinking need a few more pieces so will go on the hunt..
been playing for a few hours and just realized I haven’t had my first coffee. Started off with washing my bedding, on 3rd was, this comforters are heavy,,pillows have to go to garbage, with all that sweating I’ve been doing they have turned completely yellow, maybe a trip to Walmart is needed and I can get my shortcake, save me making a cake.
Will go get a drill bit and while I stare at my project making sure I make it fit I’ll sip away.
Hoping by afternoon the dew will have lifted and I can burn what it in the pit, I’ve enough stored on side of pit to fill it twice over..got to get the limbs from front to back...that should fill my day in..with working slowly and resting here and there it will be my kind of day
2nd photo is hard to see my gift, once I find a home for it I’ll take a better one
Hope to hear how your day went

You got the rooster weather vane as a gift???? oh my! LUCKY YOU!
Yes i did, it’s beautiful..now where to put it??
Happy birthday to out Debbie, May it be a sunshine day for her, as well as Linda my SIL and big sigh, Roger who would have been 78 today
Greg dropped in, was going to graveyard, asked how I was feeling, said I was taking it easy, he looked down at the front veranda floor at wood, tools etc and said “yep, sure can see you are taking it easy,”😜
The container I was trying to enclose with wood wasnt working as much as I wanted it to so he measure pd and said He would make me a metal one...he and Mel are cooking steak for supper so I will go over, maybe a swim and hot tub would refresh me
Have time for a nap
Happy Bday Debbie, I hope it is a good one!
Yeah Betty, Greg is onto your "resting" habits. Have a lovely dinner.
I had a friend with a hot tub, she used it nearly daily for a long time!
They have a wooden gazebo, summer it’s screened in and winter windows are closed.. don’t know why they have the pool, they are off camping all the time, mega work for nothing..now I have the key so no reason grandma can’t use it
♫♪Happy Birthday, Debbie♪♫
We haven't left yet - the RV still isn't starting. Bob got a resister for the motor & is trying to install it. It's been 5 hours of running around to get the part. Now we'll see if this used part works.
If you don't hear from me in the next few days, we were successful & went camping 🙏 🤞
So young ladies, why is it gardeners love roosters.
I was making strawberry cream cheese moose and went in to check to see if the strawberry mixture had reduced enough an the kitchen is full of smoke and my 4 cups of strawberries are scorched and ruined. Just about put my new smoke detector system that is tied in with the alarm system on a trial run. Smoke detector did go off and I opened up the front door and it rang for over 4 minutes and then finally turned itself off.
Suppose to rain any minute. Looked at the radar and it should be a good rain. Coming this way from Arizona.
I have one male that has decided the new feeder is his and chases all of the other hummer away. Feeder is about 10 feet away from me hanging on the outside rim of the patio cover. I should have thought of this a long time ago.
Susan, I hope you two do know what you are doing going camping with an iffy RV.
Betty, Gregg is right, you do not know how to relax, actually, you are relaxing while you are working because I do the same.
Pat, how is life going with the Brady Bunch including many pets? God bless you.
Karen, what is the next step with you and your medical team?
Happy birthday Debbie.
Betty, SOMEBODY should use the pool!! You will be doing them a favor! ENJOY it.
Sharon, bummer about the strawberry mousse disaster.... even my taste buds were responding to that whole idea!
It's going about as well (bad?) as I expected. Yesterday I left the kitchen in total frustration. I had tried to get SIL to work with me the night before and earlier that day. Working alone, I moved a bunch of my stuff, tucked it into my little pantry and told DIL the kitchen was hers to arrange how she wanted, but that the little pantry was MINE alone to store the things I wanted to get out of her way. . I napped and then left afterwards.
SURPRISE!!! She worked on the kitchen while I was gone and did a great job. She combined containers of spices for the duplicates, separated out all the grilling rubs etc that my son uses and but them in a different area.
I think the take-away from that is, she works better alone. While I thought one of us on the ladder and putting things on the top shelf, jointly deciding where things went & what was not worth storing in the kitchen, was better approached together, since we were both going to be using the kitchen, that did not work for her. Learning curve.
I am sooooo not used to have all the pets under foot. It wasn't too bad when I had just Nova & puppies but the 2nd Lab (who loves to lay in the middle of the kitchen, rather than under the table like Nova). is driving me crazy. On the plus side, the dogs no longer bark every time I open my door, that's nice!
We are working our way through it all. Sometimes I think that I must have LOST MY MIND inviting them, other times I feel, it's a learning curve and we are getting there.
Sharon, In the near future I will have another EGD to see if the leaking has been stopped. If so I will be monitored to see if my hemoglobin stays at a reasonable level. Normal is around 16, but normal for me was 10-10 1/2. At hospital I was down to 5. At that level I'm pretty pale. I will have to school new Dr. who paniced unnecessarily. I just know she will worry if I'm at my normal.
Afternoon everyone,
Susan, were you able to fix the rv?? Hope so as I know you were looking forward to getting away.
Sharon, sorry to hear about your desert, bet it would have been so yummy..
Pat, will take you a bit to both get accustomed to living in same household..
been busy, went to Bernie’s, he lives about 1/2 an hour from me so was a nice drive, got there at 7am, had a nice visit...he found some wood in the pile of scrap and made me a a little table for bbq, one of those small bbq’s, bought a new one about 5 years ago, used it twice so best I start using it he said..lol
Had made a wood piece so I could get the water feature little piece done yesterday, on my way home I was able to get supplies, Drats forgot to guy stain stain, sooo tomorrow I’ll go buy some and will stain both wood pieces..had hoped I’d at least have enough for the bbq but not..grrrr
Found a piece from old tarp Had for gazebo I no longer use, washed it so I’m hoping there is enough to sew a cover but I will have a nap then sewing..
That pool and hot tub looks so inviting.
Love that table and water feature.
Cecil has a vet appointment tomorrow with the head vet. I am pretty sure there is something wrong in his mouth. He chews weird and cannot get all of his food out of his bowl until I make a pile in the middle of the bowl. He threw up again this morning.
We are currently on the back patio waiting for rain. As soon as I get up and start gardening, it will start. We got close to nothing yesterday and the other side of town got over an inch.
Weather report on my i phone says it is drizzling. WRONG.
Karen, that is drastic but you know your body and you know your body's normal level.
Pat, you are an angel. An angel that is biting her tongue all day. God bless you. You are a better person than me.
My housekeeper was a really good sport about the mess I made. Kitchen is again spotless.
Just got an alert on i i watch that Canadian borders will open August 9th for Americans. I am finally getting around to getting my passport and they are saying it will be about 26 weeks. They are way behind.
Betty that is a nice and inviting pool and spa. I have a small pool and have not been in it in years. I never have anyone here with me and I will never go in a pool by myself. Too many things can happen.
I have to go to Costco tomorrow to pick up my prescriptions and I will pick up some more strawberries. I have Cecil's vet appointment and a hair appointment. Wed. I have a board meeting on the financial review. So Thursday is the first day open and that is my gardening day so Friday I might have an open slot. But the following week I have nothing.
I picked up my friends geraniums Friday and was going to rehab them. She sad they needed help. i purchased these for her for Mother's Day. They do not need help.they need buried.. My garden helper went with me in my car to pick them up. They were by her front door. He put them in the back of my car so I didn't see them until yesterday. Oh my, poor things are beyond distressed.
Linda, Fox News was at the border In Del Rio this morning. Big influx, over 500, individuals from Haiti, Cuba and Venezuela.
Hi ladies - no, the RV isn't fixed. Bob's getting expert advice about it, from several mechanics. He's trying to not go running back & forth from home to town as the cost of gas is horrendous.
Yes, Sharon, we know what we're doing - if we get it started we'll take a car as well so we have a way to get assistance. Plus, the campground is only 10 min drive from home, but, it looks like we may not be camping this year at all. Ah well
Sharon, I saw that story too. That was just one of the groups today.
We get at least 1000 crossing every day. It's a shame Biden is telling the border patrol officers to stand back and let them go.
I just saw that story to about the Canadian border being open.
Hopefully that means Betty can cross too.
https://www.google.com/amp/s/news.yahoo.com/amphtml/canada-open-border-fully-vaccinated-182410324.html
Afternoon,
No, cannot cross to USA, believe if Debbie has her 2 shots she can visit..will have to tell her to pack her bags lol
If those darn moth would stop flying around 8n the millions I’d sit and knit outside grrrr
Ok, so soon Americans will be able to cross into Canada but Canadians do not yet have a date to cross over to US? Am I reading this right?
Apparently, they are hoping in September that the borders will open for Canadians to cross.
Sunset last night. The picture doesn't do it justice. It was really red.
My datura likes this cedar hanging planter. So much so, that ones I planted & didn't think were coming up, are now growing to the left. I planted pansies in their stead. It's going to be quite full lol
My lilies are finally starting to bloom
These are pansies, but a Queen d'nuit Hibiscus is also starting to grow. Here's what the flower looks like from a previous year
Susan, did you say those in the cedar box are pansies (yellow and pink)? I have never seen that style, very nice! I love your full hot pink planter, what can say? I am a sucker for pink!
I am being a tease. I sent this pic to my DIL. SHE knows these are NOT my colors but hers. I am waiting to see how long before she messages me back asking what she is getting!! LOL
Beautiful flowers Susan.
Beautiful flowers Susan, your weather must have improved, they sure are plentiful!
yes the moon was the reddest I’ve ever seen
If your sister isn’t up to her preside I know someone who is.just live the colours, would look smashing in by bedroom
Nope, Canadians cannot cross the USA border and likely if all goes girl as Susan said maybe end of September or just in time for Christmas.
Tummy is yuck, beyond tired..slept all afternoon, bath time soon and to bed..really should finish the wording on a baby shoulder rest then shut off machines.
Don’t know where Ziggy is, he went out this morning, I’ve called and called but no Ziggy, has me worried, never goes anywhere..
AAAaaaa our furry little babies can drive us CRAZY with worry!!!
Yes, been walking the yard, house, checked ever corner
Is he micro-chipped?
Think so, still out calling
Never leaves the property
We had a big storm, might have scarred him off
My cat does that to me all the time. My Peanut is usually sleeping somewhere cool. Susan, pretty flowers.
Pat, those are petunias. Your eyes are not deceiving you.
The vet trip came up nothing. He kept Cecil for 3 hours and had him in the room with him. Tried to feed him but he would not eat. He ran a bunch of tests and checked out his mouth and found nothing wrong or out of line in his mouth. He has know Cecil since we got him when he was 3 months old. He will call me when he has the tests back on Thursday.
oh yes, they're petunias. We have so many pansies going wild that I often mix them up. Seems I have 3 "P" flowers - pansies, petunias, and peonies. I also have French poppies which are a cross between peonies & poppies. I need to take a pic of the pink French poppies.
These are my double red peonies that bloomed earlier this year.
Betty - I hope you find that scamp, Ziggy, soon. Naughty kitty, worrying you like that.

Darn Ziggy just came on my last call from back deck
Usually on my bed, think he know I’m not happy
Oh good glad Ziggy came home. Most likely he was nearby ignoring your calls. Cats are like that.
My Peanut does that to me until I am just in a frantic panic and then she comes slaunderling in and looks at me like I am just over reacting.
Evening all, don’t know where the day went but it went..
Had company this afternoon, worked on a bankruptcy file that had been started almost 2 years ago so that took me a few hours, still need to work a few hours in the morning to prepare lust of documents they needs, wow, so long ago since I worked on files almost forgot how...lol
I’ve had heat on and now a/c back on, Mother Nature not quite sure what she wants..lots of wildfire north Ontario, we had a weather alert at how heavy smoke is in some areas, found that strange as it’s quite a but north of us but guess they felt need to caution people who have breathing problems
Sat and cut threads off baby quilt I did some time ago, baby shower is Friday night...few more things to get ready, will buy a few shower bags when in town tomorrow.
Tired myself out, keep looking at click, won’t be a late night..Ziggy has been sleeping all day, no outside for Kim , will have to watch he doesn’t escape while I close everything up for the night, cats are as quick as lightening.
Darlene gave Charlie his beach towel, one has to wonder if he liked it?? He just loves wonder woman
It is humid here which is very unusual. Cecil ate breakfast this morning and then an hour later, after a short walk, he threw up his breakfast. On in the low 90s and cloudy so that should not have bothered him.
I had a 2.5 hr board mini training shop on financials for new board members. It was a good meeting.
I came home and walked a little around front landscape and pulled some over zealous plants. Looks like a jungle out there. Garden helper will be here tomorrow and we will get the hatchet out and thin out the jungle.
We were suppose to get rain today but so far nothing on this side of town. Had a flash flood warning this morning and not a drop. But at least the clouds keep the sun from beating down on you.
My baby sister Bobbie Jo turned 75 yesterday. I always thought she was 5 years younger than me and shes only 4. Silly things that I get confused on.
Betty, your friend in the towel is a good sport. You can count this as a day I didn't get much done. At least I didn't have to call an ambulance.
That really is a cool pattern LindaK. Someday I would like try doing that type of block but it's NOT on my "soon" list!
There have been 3 different raccoons killed on the road within 2 miles of my house. I don't know if the neighbor has had another sighting of one in my backyard or not. Adam is going to set up trail cams.
I got the caddy done (so WHAT am I going to do IN class on Friday??)
Adam & Andrea brought home 2 more loads yesterday. I don't know if they are going BACK up today or not. They were to be OUT yesterday and I don't know if they will make another trip or not. It's such a mess, I just try to keep my head low and stay out of it, NOT EASY for me.
I worry about the puppies. Nova does not want to nurse them. They are eating softened puppy chow with milk replacement hydration. The only nursing they are getting now is when she goes in to steal their food, they are forced to nurse what they can while she is standing. I stand in the door way and block her from exiting so they get some nursing done. They are so cute but I will be glad when they are gone. A&A have been gone so much that their care has been my responsibility. Stepping over the wood barrier (across the door entry to keep puppies in) makes me nervous. I am not as sure footed as when I was young & I do NOT want to step on a puppy or fall. Of course trying to step OUT of the room, I am trying to get 3 or more puppies to let go of my pant legs (and sometimes my shirt if I have bent down to pick up their food dish).
