Betty, yes the hooded towels are the ones on Juju. I found a very nice tutorial for making them too. You use the whole hand towel but just embroider on one side. That way the back of the embroidery is not seen or felt. Also her way of constructing is very nice looking.
I think all these machines have their own quirks. As I use it more I am learning to handle them. One I'm going to talk to the tech about but I have a work around for now and just one more hood to do. I made 9 of the hooded towels for all the younger kids. The older ones are getting the bath wraps. There will be 10 of them. I had all the moms measure the kids for me. Girls above the bust and boys waists. Funny thing I added all the sizes to order elastic, the total for the girls was the same as for the boys. Just one more hooded towel to embroider and then I can start construction. I need to dig and see if I have enough Velcro for the wraps.
Betty, check to see if you maybe accidently hit the Num Lock button and turned the numbers off.
Pat when my son and his wife divorced (both were at fault) We made a decision to all get along for the sake of the kids. We can all attend all functions and actually have a good time together. My son's new wife's family are totally awesome and have always been great to the kids. DIL's new hubby's family was a bit weirded out at first, but eventually they came around. We are all friends on FB.

The lace ornaments were on Juju too.

It’s a bitter cold day here and yet by weekend it will be near 50, not a wonder people get sick..

Karen it sure sounds like you’ve everything under control with Christmas gift, they will love them..I’m busy on the knitting neck warmers, now need 9 so I’ll be knitting up a storm.

As for divorce when Jeff and Lisa divorced I stayed right out of it, didn’t even delve into why, to this day she and I are great friend, she was here at Thanksgiving for a bit with the family, I include her in Christmas pressie, call her on her birthday etc..sure makes it easier on the family..can tell you though if her parents were around Jeff wouldn’t be friendly. Lordy I even made her son from new marriage Halloween costumes when I made my grands theirs..heard in later years that lisa’s Mom put up an argument and the young one didn’t wear them and that his grandma bought those generic store bought costumes instead!

Lindakay, how is hubby doing, haven’t seen you on in awhile and worried that perhaps Todd did come down with Covid or that you might be I’ll.
I’m always watching Texas numbers and like many states they are worrisome and pray not so 8n your region, what are you filling your days with?

Deb, did you get snow? Sure hope your daughter is feeling better

Best I get going,so much to get done

Do you ever find some days to try and get a lot accomplished in one heck of a mess do you make.

Before starting my day I decided I would make toast, decided to have some nice Honey that a friend had made and gifted me..Didn’t the jar somehow dripped all over the back of the middle shelf, had to clean the entire area to get dried honey off of it so there went one hour,

Then decided I would oil and clean the Knitting machine, enjoy Knitting on the neck warmers the front the back but the 100 rows of Knit 1-Pearl 1, seems to take forever when the knitting machine can do it in 20 minutes if it works..

Found the receipt when I was cleaning that old workhorse, it was bought in 1987, it paid for itself twice over if not more with all the neck warmers I made back then.

When using the machine It is nice to run the wool across a piece of wax, of course I have no wax so I’m melting a candle and I have the little container that came with machine, hoping once melted I can pour it in the was container and put in refrigerator and tomorrow I can use it, if not, not a big deal.

Cleaned my wool winder, few drops of oil and will wind all my balls of wool, all while the machine embroiderer does another snowflake...

Drats, was in search of knitting machine manual what did I find, another of those cut out Victorian Santa’s, will I never be free of them lol

Time to put another snowflake on, run hot waterbed last one done and get lunch

getting tired is what I’m getting

That is a huge knitting machine.

I have many days like yours. Go to do something, something is amiss, so you fix that, then something else pops up.

Victoria Harbour, ON

No, this is a regular size..does medium to bulky wool, I have 2 more under beds lol., One knits on its own, it does from baby wool to medium..

Even though I was jumping from one thing to another I did accomplish a little..had my supper and bath, sneezing away so will shortly go downstairs and turn all off then take something for colds

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Hope you are feeling better soon.

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

I am sure you have made GREAT use of the knitting machines. AMAZING projects!

#1 complete, moving on...

I got all the little kids hoodies made today. They were so much easier than I expected. One bit of advice, DO NOT buy thick cushy towels to make these. Light or medium weight are just fine and will save you a ton of work and needles. If anyone is interested, I can share the the best tutorial I found. I think it makes the nicest hoodies.

They are so adorable Karen, they get addictive I bet, just like the book reader pillows. When I embroider towels I buy medium weight..that plastic wash away on top seems to do the trick with tear away under the towel.

Not feeling up to par,, fighting headache and nausea..

Sharon just dropped in, she brought the quit she just took off the frame, like the colour combination

Now I just have 10 bath wraps to make. 5 girls and 5 boys. Since they are basically make a pocket for elastic and add Velcro to close I don't see them taking too much time either. I'll probably add some ribbon or something to the girls to fancy them up a bit. Could also add an initial or name.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I love those towels Karen. Where did you find the pattern?

Betty, that quilt is beautiful.

You have been sick too long. Please get checked out. Have you been tested for covid?

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

The embroidery designs are from Juju as is the tutorial for making the hoodie wraps. I watched many tutorial before choosing hers. It was easy and quick...I made 9 this afternoon in about 4 hours...I also like that the hoodie part is double thick and all seams are covered.

Hi - things are good with my boss. I told her how much I respect her, her research, and her intelligence. I told her how depressed the stuff she has been telling me has made me. I understand what she's telling me, but can't take it anymore. If this was going to be how it would continue, I would have to quit. Guess what? She was so nice about it and for the past two days I have totally enjoyed my job again.
Today (her) deer came wandering through her yard. I took pics with my phone, so this is as good as I can get from inside with my phone. I may end up taking my camera next week. Apparently they come right at dusk and stay in her grove of trees, and that's just as I'm about to leave at the end of the day so it's perfect timing for me to take pictures.

Glad to hear it went well Susan.

THOSE towels are so CUTE!!!

I got the 2nd quilt finished except to finish cleaning up threads. I did this one with the tack down feature on my machine and did not hand tie it. Too bad I will never know which one lasts longer. I'll take pictures tomorrow.

Morning, hard to believe for 2 days we had snow on the ground and today it’s a spring day edging towards 50f and no snow...

Susan that is indeed good news, know you would put your health above your job but it’s nice to know she understand, you’ve come to a mutual agreement and you can now go in singing tunes..is Bob still doing renovations? Live the deer, sure miss mine but ever since they took down the forest behind me and did the seniors home.

That is interesting Pat, anxious to see a photo..

Kept debating about putting up a tree this year but I made way to back shed, now laying on living room floor, am sure it will get to me just sitting there and I will set it up..2 bins of ornaments away on back deck.

Guess most of you wait til after thanksgiving which is less than 2 days away..

Listened to Ontario Covid report, guess we will soon to into orange, numbers are getting high.

Well I’d best get things done seeing as I usually drain myself of energy around noon..first chore now that I cleaned the knitting machine is see if all works, doesn’t take much to bend needles..here is hoping..

Can't wait to see your quilts Pat.
Betty, there are several states the numbers are high, they have been put on shut down again. Michigan and Arizona I believe. Pretty sad so many small businesses will never be able to recover after this.

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

I will be working on preparing for the remodeling that starts 11/30. . I have a lot of furniture to move, rehome, sell donate to make this all work. I am aiming towards preparing the room configuration to accommodate a long arm quilting machine in the next year.
#1 is my current view out the opening thru the kitchen to my entry. I will miss the bright flowers and frogs. I have a quilt kit bought to hang on that wall when it's done.

DONE and ready for gifting. Stanley can't stand to miss a photo opportunity. I don't know if he is hoping for a career in modeling.
One was completed with traditional tying with yarn, the other "tacking" with the Epic. I can't wait to get them OUT of my house. Too much stuff going on. Need to lighten the load in all ways possible.

Stanley is adorable, he sure has warmed himself into your heart..
The quilts will be cherished, what a tremendous amount of work..I’m excited for you, here is hoping renovations will go without mishap and done by Christmas.

Set the tree up, hard to take photo with lights twinkling and rotating, nope no areas are missed re lights, just blinking at different time.

Watching Christmas show, thought I might empty the 2 totes of Christmas ornaments but find it overwhelms me unwrapping each ornament, special ornaments for each year Roger has not been with us, some from friends, family who no longer are with us so if I want to sleep tonight I’ll wait til early morning!

Such a pretty tree. I am looking forward to getting mine up.
The work is supposed to start 11/30 and only take that week. HOWEVER, we all know how things can go south for any number of reasons! LOL

northeast, IL(Zone 5a)

Pretty tree, Betty! And all the gorgeous quilts and other projects you are all working on!
My daughter is feeling better, she only had mild symptoms of covid that lasted about 4 days. She was going to get another test today, I hope it shows she's clear, so we can all get together on Thanksgiving.
I'm hoping to get my tree up this weekend. That's my goal anyway, hopefully it will work out! There's some cleaning that needs to get done first.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Pat, don’t know too many times that contractors give a completion date and it takes that much longer, here is hoping..

Deb, what a relief you must feel that she is recuperating and that she wasn’t taken to bed for longer period of time..I so hope that many of you can celebrate thanksgiving with a few from your bubble or do they have bubble groups in USA

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

I don't know what a "bubble group" is.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Will be at former DIL's for Thanksgiving. I asked if she wanted me to bring noodles and she replied, Oh Ma you have me drooling all over myself. Then I didn't know if I was going to be able to find them. I usually use turkey wings to make the broth and hunted all over town. Finally called one store and he said, I'm cutting some right now how many do you want? I was there I was there in 5 mins. He had them wrapped with my name on them.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Betty, do mean family members, or close friends?

Victoria Harbour, ON

We call it a bubble, allowed 10,also known as social circle

Snowing, not too energetic but decided I could make a stew..can keep in onlow as I nap

Karen, wonderful that she got so excited.

Still too early here to decide about Christmas..will be soon

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

So yes, we have bubbles just not called that to my knowledge. I was doing a little reading about college kids going or not going home for holidays. They were being encouraged to NOT do that, as with travel they would be at higher risk of bringing something home to their family, AND the students should be treated as "outside of family circle" (or bubble ) for safety reasons.

Victoria Harbour, ON

All so overwhelming

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

"Gosh, I love you son, don't come home!" Ouch. In essence though, that is exactly what happened with my 2 oldest.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Pat it's basically what is happening with my family too. They told us not to risk coming.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Greg and Mel just left, Greg made sure pumps are running properly in sump pump area..was having a bad day, they started to say that if in next few weeks we are on level CD down there will be no Christmas together..I understand that but started to cry...😪

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Oh Betty I sure know the feeling. I've cried off and on for days over it.

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

Yep, me too!!!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

We are all in the same boat. We have been told, have the holiday dinners with only who lives in your home.
So it will be just Todd and I.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning, bitter cold out there, going to Bernie’s with Sharon to cut greenery, he seems to think there are many kinds so getting my snip cutters, covering the trunk with plastic and dressing warm, even have my winter boots at the door.

Still fighting a bad headache and head feels foggy, am hoping the fresh air might help

Meeting Sharon at 11:30, best I remember to get a container of stew out for her supper.. I always make so much.

Praying in the next few weeks numbers will drop..here we are, on one aside of the fence doing our thing, trying our best then another side saying it’s no worse than the flu...big sigh... know how you are all feeling about Christmas. Greg asked me last night when he saw no decorations downstairs if I were foregoing decorating all over, yep..in the shed the trees and Christmas totes will stay.

My nice Nikki wanted gnomes for her bedroom so I made her a pillow, took about an hour..used glue gun and yes, got a finger burn..

Beautiful pillow.
Love the photo of Greg and Mel too!

Betty, please get yourself tested for covid. You don't need to take any chances if it is for it to get worse going untreated.

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

I resent like H.... the stuff I am getting as messages from friends & relatives that fall in the "it's not that dangerous". or the latest about the vaccine "being a way to track people!" It's one thing for them to post on their own Facebook, but don't send the stuff to me via messenger unless they expect to get a reply that tells them to "Fact Check" their information!! I think I should haul my grumpy self back to bed!!!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Betty, are we going to have our yearly Christmas craft this year. Maybe something you don't have to ship. Give a supply list, and we can get it locally?

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Pat there are so many mixed messages out there it's hard to know what to believe. I'm pretty sure there are some who can sail through easily. I know I wouldn't and neither do the babies. It's why I'll stay home as much as it breaks my heart. I haven't seen some of the greats since last Christmas and who know when I will again. Even the one who lives here is almost 4 mos. and I've only seen her once and not held her. My choice as I won't take a chance on making her sick.
