I am sorry about the dog & cat not getting along. I don't know the answer to socializing them into acceptance. I wonder if there are tips on Utube? It generally happens at a younger age, so I don't know if it can happen now or not. Many reputable breeders have both cats and dogs so that this can be addressed before going to their new home.

I am shoveling the sewing room. When I bought the additional desk, it meant increasing my footprint in the game room/ sewing room combo. It has been such a messy, unorganized disaster in there and I have resisted any urge to sew on projects until I can clean it up and reorganize. .

Since we cannot be sure any of the places we normally donate used dolls to will accept anything like that this year, I refuse to make any more clothes or buy more dolls. I think Marie finally gets I'm serious about it.

I am boxing up all the stuff that was "in process" and can't really be used for anything but more doll clothes. I am labeling it, it's going to the barn. I am boxing up and labeling any of the clothes I bought to cut up and repurpose into doll clothes that have NOT been cut into. They can be re-donated if I never return to sewing doll clothes.

Any projects, or fabric, that I have lost interest in, I have in another box to give away.. I have more "stuff" than I can ever finish in this lifetime, even if I never buy another thing. Time to be more realistic and find some peace in organization and reduced clutter. .Increase my enjoyment of just seeing an attractive, functional space that invites creative thinking instead of embarrassment and frustration. .

I am still working on my patio. I have cushions to recover (and will AFTER my sewing room is done)

I am still working on creating the "living fence" between the neighbor and I. 2 more plants to buy and plant.

Both dog and cat are too old to socialize, maybe in time but Ned goes home tomorrow so no worries.

Nothing like being organized in sewing room, makes sewing more pleasurable.

Since March I’ve had plenty of time to use my stash but it seems almost every projects something is missing.

You have done so many doll clothes, I’m sure you are in need of a break making them.

It’s ok to take over the house, whatever brings you joy.

Caleb messaged me this morning, he turned 21 yesterday, he was north on Dayak trip and just got home in time for birthday gathering. No more babes..

Melanie just sent me a photo of where they are swimming..Tobermory.. about a 5-6 hr drive from here, I took the Ohio gals there one year..crystal clear water.

beautiful day here.
Glad to hear the furries are getting used to each other.

Here's a different way to put elastic in masks without using 2 ft of it for a continuous elastic but is still adjustable. They're calling it a "flu mask" but you would just add the filter for this time.

I don't see how the elastic is adjustable.

Just another hot day here. I didn't do much. Suppose to be in the low 100s next week and then I can hit the garden. I walked the dogs early tonight because it was cloudy and I thought I could trim a few plants. About half way through the walk, out came the sun and no clouds anywhere to move in. Scratch that plan.

I was in my pantry last night looking for a jar of stuffed green olives. Never did find them but found a whole bunch of food I can donate or throw away. Throw away items are really old and others are just food I do not eat. One of the young HOA guards is coming tomorrow to pick up the food. Tonight is garbage night so I can toss the other.

Betty, photo is my salad I made for myself yesterday. I cannot make a small salad. But it was good. I ate it for lunch and dinner.

Betty, Linda actually had some cool weather lat week. Second day we have not been above 110. Finally we think those days are gone for this year. It is our monsoon weather time and we have had very little rain.

We have had a woodpecker move into the neighborhood. Seen him three times. I spot him because I hear him. He is really small. Today he was hanging on the side of the house next door. He was pecking at the stucco. Didn't take him long to determine that was not what he was looking for. It is amazing what you see around you if you pay attention.

Betty, you could make panels for your enclosure for each holiday or season. The snaps are a fantastic idea. You are truly blessed with so many friends. I always ran around with older women and they have all left me behind. Several of them did not have daughters and I think I was their daughter once removed.

Leaving in the morning for the Outer Banks. Still not up to snuff but will go at my own pace.

Linda Kay - as the elastic is long enough, and the tie is right through the channel but the tie is visible, you can tie it off shorter or longer. Just don't enclose the ends in the channel.

Overcast here today, would like rain..

As Greg and Mel will be home later tonight I brought Ned home, once the girls leave and I have lunch I will go and let him out, by the next time he need out his mommy/daddy will be back.

Not sure I saw Ziggy dancing down the hallway but I think he did lol

Sharon, why do we insist on cooking for 6 when we are just one?
As for the deck closure, only time I need closing in is to keep snow out other than that it’s screened in with a view of beautiful gardens. Your salad sure looks yummy, oops forgot my olives.

Karen, not the brightest but where are the outer banks? Michigan?
Beautiful landscaping, never been further north than Frankenmuth where we and Lindakay met up.

Susan, girls are coming shortly, will look at your link after.

The doctor gave me a stronger salve for my face, it’s drying up but burns like crazy..I will insist that he make an appointment with dermatologist when next he comes.

Best I go unlock basement door
Gab later

Betty, the Outer Banks are the string of islands along the NC shore. Very narrow in some places. Lots to see & do but my fav. is the wild horses that live on a northern island.

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

Karen, NOW you're talking!! I would love to see wild horses truly running free. The hills in my area used to have wild horses but not for many years now. We have some beautiful metal art that portrays that. I will try and get a picture of it to post.

Linda, that is how I make most of my masks adjustable. The person wearing it can tie the elastic to the right length, custom for them. I encourage them to find a comfortable length, then tie it TIGHT, then slip that knot into the elastic casing channel. If you are going to wear a ear loop, that's the way to go! I just don't like ear loop of any kind if I can avoid it.

Come to think of it I think we girls on our annual vacation did go there..is there not an island it beach that has mega driftwood?

Would be so nice to see the horses..maybe another year.
