Even with staying at home, we are getting so many messages and everyone knows and is looking forward to a celebration this summer. Was planned for June, but we will see if it needs to be set back further. Enjoying compliments on our front porch photos.
We are with a grand and three greats so not totally alone, thankful for that.

Sounds like your spring has arrived Betty.
Not doing much here. I got a bunch of Christmas fabric and cut out Dresden plates for a Christmas quilt. First time making one for us. Hopefully I will get it done by Christmas.

I sure hope by June we will be back to as normal as we can be and your celebration will take place. Easter will be odd this year for all of us..usually a 4 day weekend, maybe a zoom time can be scheduled...we will all make do!

Love Dresden plate pattern, only one I’ve made was the Christmas Dresden quilt, extra large in the middle and regular on the corner..it’s my most favourite

Had calls all morning..made 4 more masks, a chocolate pie, going to have to schedule building to put in patio door so I can fit through if I keep cooking like I have...lol
Sooo I didn’t get outside, I’m thinking I’ll put my jacket on and do something, even 15 minutes worth would be better than nothing..SHARON just sent me photo’s of her yard, all nice and makes me envious

Linda, remember when we first made the Dresden plate? We were all so nervous and as it turned out they were really easy.
This was what I did with mine.

Beautiful quilts ladies.

Love the tree skirt Karen, was this the skirt you did for the kids? Any news on the start of basement work?

LIndakay, once you start putting those blades together you will be all hung ho to make more..excellent way to use up scraps.

Not much in my stash I’ll tell you, have another 8 masks done, brother who visits twice a year because of allergy to cat has decided he will drop in, at the door and he and Kim outside and asked for a masks so while I did them I did more, always someone asking me for some...glad I bought a lot of packages of 1/8” elastic.

I did see a quilt that if I get bored I could use up my Christmas strips and do..quite easy...

Made a chocolate pie yesterday, maybe it’s coffee and pie time.

Then out I go to work on back deck panels..promised myself that even if I only do 2-3:ft that would be great, shoulder won’t act up unless I do something stupid.

Tomorrow morning I have to take a quick run to the pharmacy, Tylenol 3 needs to be renewed so he will contact my doctor but still have a months renewal for sleeping pills.

Later I will go look what embroidery designs I have so I can make an Easter
Pillow..9n my week’s to do list.

Stay safe

Spring's here by the calendar, but it's snowing outside.
http://blog.buzzbishop.com/calgary/in-calgary-it-snows-all-year/
We're not in Calgary - we're 1 hour's drive north (which makes it worse, right? lol)
Betty - I'd misunderstood your post. I thought your Aunt Muriel had passed. SO glad to hear she's Not got COVID-19. Love love love that Dresden plate quilt, Betty. It's always been a dream of mine to make one.
I'm still enjoying being self-isolated - SO much getting done. Made bread last night - so soft & delish! Although I let it over-rise so in the oven it fell a bit, but it's still very tasty :)

That was one of 18 or 20 tree skirts I made, each different.

Just went and counted it was 25 tree skirts.

Morning,
Sigh...screaming inside here, this woman is going to drive me insane.
She is so unhappy things didn’t
Turn out the way she hoped. I feel like a ghost in my own house, I just don’t even know what to do anymore or say. She only here’s the negative and unless everyone spawning all over her we don’t pay attention, our household is too busy, so we leave her alone and she’s crying how she has to do everything herself. I’ll tell ya there’s nothing like waking in a good mood only to be yelled at or spoken to in such disdain. She only hears what she wants so any conversation is guessed on her part. cCant raise your voice because I’m yelling at her and yet have to repeat a single word 5 + times...She gives only Laurie any kind of credit.
Dh said they are going to have to make a tough choice, especially since she is downright mean about things. So I dunno, I am getting ready to give up.
Yikes on top of all that, someone told my Eldest sister that I have cancer, she was frantic and it took me almost a half hour to convince her to har that Thank God I am not sick with anything. Why on earth would someone say such a thing.
...well just immerse myself in sewing, making masks and have an order for 13. At least I feel I am helping and they have appreciated. Lol ran out of elastic so now making the ties. Well back at it...
Thanks for listening, rant over lol for now.
I hope and pray every one has a nice busy/ relaxing Saturday...rainy right now.

Oh Judy, rant away it's so difficult sometimes. We had to give up and put hubby's mom in a home as she got unmanageable. Would not bathe nor let anyone else help her was the worst. Would soil herself and hide the evidence until it revealed itself. Lied to everyone all the time on the phone. Eventually you have to save your own sanity.

I agree with Karen Judy, you’ve tried your very best and yes I know you have, likely beyond your best and as we can all see life is short, your sanity is at stake! You’ve done more than most even trying for this long so just maybe its time to take the next step as hard as it may be.

Was over to darlene’s And dropped 4 masks off between the doors, she just called and said they fit nicely..time to add some fun to masks, bought a design for kids and adults, now to find energy to try one..had a bath as I couldn’t warm up and now I’m comfy on the couch

What is the highlight of your day?

Sorry to hear that you are going through all that Judy. Caregivers have the toughest job. Hang in there.
I am making more masks too. Someone called our little quilt shop and said she needs 10. Then a lady from the city needs 20. So I am working on those.

My GP had put out a request for cloth gowns. The village sewers have responded overwhelmingly. The doc says they are great as they can be washed and reused. Right now the office is closed as the NP tested positive for Covid. My GP tested negative but of course has to be in self isolation. She has 2 small children and it is really hard on her not to interact with them.

Huge hugs Judy. The TH send lots of kisses. It's OK as they have good smelling breath. lol

You will be a busy girl lindakay, actually is a blessing to feel like we are doing our part. Keep going and we will have used up all our stashes.

Dianne, poor lady, must be overwhelming for health care providers...I was watching a newscast and a nurse sent her 2 year old to stay with neighbours as she was worried she would bring it home..the tears she was shedding, made your heart break.

Just spent an hour going through my iPad mailbox, I have to start doing the 6 placemats I promiseddarlene as Christmas gift to match the runner I had made her, took me forever to find same fabric, had the program design, 11 stitched leaf blocks but didn't have instructions..was happy to find the email with photo and instructions..now I will have to figure out how to make placemats oblong vs angled edges

My tummy is still not up to par, feel so nauseated, having cereal in hopes it help rather than a meal.

Thinking I will send this to our basement people to let them know I am beyond ready for them to get in, get it fixed and get out.

Hate that I cannot help with the mask effort. I did send my daughter 50 yards of elastic and gave another 30 yards plus fabric to a lady here.

Morning all, it’s a dark gloomy day out there with no movement except for blackbirds who are eating all the Blue Jay seed.I almost feel like I’m in the Alfred Hitchcock movie the birds they come in in swarms in flight to the next street and fly back for another bit of eats.

Karen you participating so much year-round I would not worry about not making masks, your generosity giving fabric and elastic his generosity in its own. Are they saying it’s the delayed because of COVID-19? Sure hope they can come shortly know how you love your sewing room.

I stayed in bed till almost 10 this morning, took gravol and wanted to climb back in bed but thought better of it and decided to lay on the couch, now I want to go back to bed but it’s all nicely made so here I will stay. After my bath I looked in the mirror and couldn’t take it so out cam scissors, laughed to myself, glad I’m home bound, quite a job my hairdresser will have when we are able to get together.

I see that Canadian tire and Home Depot only have curbside shopping right now, big sigh.

That is a lot of black birds.
Sure hope you are feeling better soon.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

wow - Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds, indeed!
Working on 3 more lawn chair cushions. Had far too many to be done hahaha
Let's see now....... I'd done the bottom cushions for 2 and now I've done the backs. Refoamed the one for Bob at the couch, and now doing 3 more 23x23" cuhsions. Not sure what they'll be fore, but I'm sure they'll be appreciated in our yard.. They're from a living room couch - friend didn't need them, so gave them to us. Nice & thick for some chair, or bench.

Almost evening, still somewhat overcast and wind is bringing coolness with it brrr
Think the high was 37F..heard Susan got snow last night...

Feeling better today, haven’t been overdoing but have been playing with embroidery machine. Darlene asked me to make john’s grandson a mask, had fun making 2 bears and a kitty, yet to come is a doggie..

Everything is so quiet, makes it worse when you live alone, Ziggy is getting tired of listening to me chat.

Yesterday morning I couldn’t stand my hair, gave myself a haircut, this morning I washed and curled it, you know what, doesn’t look that bad..amazing what we can do when we have to..I was thinking in a few weeks i might give myself a perm, now that will be something.

How did you fill in the day?

Hope you and your family are all well..
