Hi all - been a busy week. Our anniversary last Thurs, and bowling league that day, too. We both did well. Bob got 288, and I got a 171 & a 183 :) Went out for dinner.
I spoke today, to my daughter in Winnipeg, and she said the snow is almost gone. We were supposed to have a friend over for TG dinner tomorrow, but her son is coming home from the hospital (had a heart attack in the field while out combining). So, it will be Bob & I, giving thanks for each other ❤👍

Hoping you enjoyed your Thanksgiving Betty.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Happy Thanksgiving to my Canadian friends.
Susan, sorry to hear about your friend. Glad he is coming home.

Newcastle, ON(Zone 5a)

Pat..can't help but hear that song. "All By Myself."..Enjoy your alone time.
I had a small family gathering for Thanksgiving dinner yesterday. Turkey and all the trimmings..4 desserts! Lots of laughs. There were seven of us. Some family had to work or had other commitments.

Lyndonville, NY

I think I am finally caught up. Keyboard giving me the business, space bar not working.

Loved all the pics. Was in 30's this morning when I woke up.

Dealing with some remodeling chaos, sick critters and my mind is a fog.

Miss you all so much
Debbie

Sounds as though we all had great weather for Thanksgiving and enjoyed ourselves..imagine I had no turkey leftovers as meal wasn’t held here so I bought turkey roll and stuffing..in the oven, now I have to stay up til 9:30 lol

Debbie, my iPad has about had it also, almost every time I type an i it turns into an 8, lots of correcting and words I didn’t even type appear..this one is not that old..frustrating but I don’t have sick furries and Reno’s going on, that surely would be aggravating.

Yawning away, tired tonight..had a busy weekend then today trip to doctors in Barrie, some shopping...bad idea to have put turkey in oven..

Maybe hot bath will help

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

What did your Dr. say Betty?

Victoria Harbour, ON

That there is a mass, she is not a surgeon, she will send report to my doc, could take 5 days..said he would then book me in with a surgeon..also retinitis in the shoulder

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

oh Betty - that's at least them looking into it now. I'm glad they're finally doing something for you!

Las Vegas, NV(Zone 9a)

Betty, they told me I had a mass in my left sinus about 15 years ago. This was on a Friday. They said the Dr. wold see me on Tuesday. On Tuesday we went into the examination room with the Dr. Vern asked him how large the mass was and he indicated , with his fingers, very small. Then Vern asked him if he knew how large we thought it was. It was an pocket of infection and the sinus drain was blocked. Probably something just the same. Hugs. I usually lurk every night but just have not had much to say.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Praying it is nothing serious Betty. Please let us know what you find out.
Off to quilting today. One of the ladies is moving, so we are giving her a party. She is a button collector, so we made her a button quilt.

Morning everyone, rainy day in my neighbourhood..slept in, Lordy 8am. Lol

LIndakay, your co quilter/sewer will be beyond thrilled, how blessed she will feel..did you each make a number of blocks?

Thanks Sharon and all for good thoughts, regardless of what the mass is,operation and all I’ll be thrilled if it means I’m not living in this pain...that Vern 2as a card 😜
How are you doing, can see by posts on Facebook you are getting much accomplished in the gardens..

Sitting having coffee and waiting for peanut butter cooking to cool off.

Susan have to say again how spectacular your turkey is..where do you store your seasonal decor?

While cookies were in oven I started to take out Halloween quilts, might even try to get to back shed to get a few totes, halloween comes out and fall gets packed away for yet another year...big sigh

Miss Matilda the witch gets hung on front door,am sure she will frighten me more than a few times when I walk by, she is almost 5 and I always think it’s a person standing at the door peering in.

Going to knit for a bit, stay in my Jammie’s until I go to Midland, few pieces of wood that were damaged were recut and I have to pick them up.

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

Linda, button quilt is adorable! Betty, I remember seeing pics of your witch, she is AWESOME!

Victoria Harbour, ON

She did not make it inside today Pat, rained all day..did take out Halloween quilts though, now where to put them.

Can you believe I’m still in my nightie..Dianne came to visit this afternoon and what a sight I was...lol
been knitting and forcing myself to stay up later, the yawn..I know it’s only 7:30 but often in bed by 5:30-6:30 so that is good for me. I’m almost done my 4th neck scarf, thrilled I’m able to scratch off 4 more names of my Christmas list. Called wool shop this afternoon, she said bu Friday she will have the wool I ordered...giving me a break from sewing. Did take out the tops of the 3 cookbooks I’m making so tomorrow I’ll have to get back to painting!

Yawning, thinking it’s time to call it a night..I’ve

Fun to see how other people use their panels. I absolutely LOVE the witch panel.

I have 3 Halloween wall hangings now. I'll try to pics and post. I gave up and hung the BIG one without all the interior detail quilting being done. I just couldn't wait longer if I hoped to get it hanging at work before Halloween!

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Betty - those teddy bear trick or treaters are beyond adorable!
Thank you - I'm making another turkey - friend asked how much I would charge, and if she's still interested, I think I'm going to say $25. Sounds reasonable, right?
Now, what do I do with the 3rd one when it's done? I still thought the turkey eyes looked too "human" so I googled turkey eye pictures, and sure enough - round & black. Maybe I'll use a sharpie & colour this one in.
Betty - I store everything in our shed. I have bins for everything, and put labels on them. There's no way I'd be able to keep seasonal stuff in our small'ish mobile. No basement & no attic lol

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Betty, I love your quilts.
Pat, I believe the witch was pieced or appliqued.
Susan why not take a small piece of black fabric and us for the eyes. Marker might run on the fabric.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Another rainy day..I’m going to get dressed today for sure, at least I promised myself I would.

Pat the large pumpkin piece was all, pieced, I did 3, one for Darlene and Melanie, not sure Melanie puts her out and Darlene leaves just before Halloween so doubtful she puts her out.

Susan, $25 is more than reasonable, in fact a deal..how about sewing on do buttons prior to sewing it together? Even if it presently has an eye the button would deflect the human eye look.

Finished the blue scarf, just need to add fringe..maybe later..must get back to painting on the cookbooks though, when you think about it,Christmas comes quickly.

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

me thinks $25 is a STEAL!! the 3rd one... make it and see who wants it +$25!

Victoria Harbour, ON

So damp, cold right through my bones, and yes I’m still in my nightly...

Was thinking rather than turn up the furnace I’d put the fireplace on, give me some ambiance. Lol

In a painting mood, if I want to get anywhere will have to get the hair dryer and dry so I can move on to another step..

Luckily I have turkey and fixings, need potatoes and pop, wonder8ng how I can go to foodland without getting out of nighty..

Looks good so far. Waiting for paint to dry needs patience for sure. Set it in front of the fireplace.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

can't sleep, and I'm hungry. Think I'll have something to nibble on, and see if I can sleep then.
Ok, maybe $30? I know, I got the material for free, but it does take 1 1/2 days to make, and some say "it doesn't matter how you got the material, don't undervalue it" so, I'm trying to be fair to all parties concerned.
I called & left a message, she'll get back to me if she seriously would like it.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning all, not raining so far but cool..

Happy to say I’m dressed, hurrah for that!!

Have my list for town, long one, need to pick up wood, pain, wool, need to go to post office, ordered a pattern, hoping it’s in my box.have to drop in to see when they can do my tires as snow is a coming..can’t even think how I’ll deal with that, shoulders won’t hack it..there will be an answer I’m sure.

Last night I put wonder under on Victorian Santa pieces I have and sat and cut them out and this morning did same to 2 more sets, looks as though I’ll just relax and play cut outs

Susan yes, see if she is interested, now that thanksgiving is over she may not want it til next fall.

Morning all, guess you were all busy yesterday..

Been up since 4am, sitting waiting for daybreak and 7am so I can cookies for the crafters that come at 9am

In the meantime Ziggy still waiting for me to get up and leave my knitting aside, his paw keeps creeping towards the skein....best I put it away when I go to Foodland.

Good morning. Seems like you always have a list of to do's. When do you see the Dr. To get results from your test?
I got up yesterday, went to town to wash all the bedding. Our new samsung washing machine is going crazy. It will fill with water and wash, then when it switches to spin cycle it takes 3 hours to stop. I need to call the company and complain. While I was in town, a friend called, so I met her for lunch.
. Last Friday I went with the owner of the quilt shop ask me to go with her to a quilt show. She sets up a booth to sell fabric. As I was leaving the cabin room she rented for us, i forgot that there was a step there, and i fell, twisted my left left ankle, hit my right knee. I was pretty sore, but got up and kept going. Went to the show and helped her cut fabric till about 3. I finally told her I had to leave, as my foot was throbbing. Came home and iced it. It is still tender but doing better. Just after I left the show, my name was called and I won a door prize. It is a 28 inch square metal quilt block. I will put the fabric behind it and hang it in my sewing room.

Good morning. It looks like a stellar day here. The sun is shining brightly. Earlier it was very foggy but seems to have burned off now.

It looks like I have a carpet of many colours outside. The rain we had brought down several leaves but there is still plenty on the trees.

Liz thanks for asking about Chaos. He is doing OK. I had a love seat and arm chair I bought from Wayfair delivered. I moved an old bed chesterfield out of the way. Chaos came running in took a flying leap and landed on the floor. You should have seen his face.

The furniture was over 2 weeks early so I wasn't ready for it. So I did what I learned from a person here on DG and threw money at the problem. The moving guys not only moved the furniture downstairs they put together what needed to be done. Wayfair charges a hefty fee for the moving company to assemble the new pieces and I figured I could do it myself. I offered the guys some money and they were quick to say yes.

LK I love the metal quilt block. Sorry you had a spill. I don't know what it is about the foot and toes but it seems when they are injured it hurts worse than other parts of your body.

Stay safe and well.

Linda, so sorry you took a spill. I have to be very careful with these shoes I have to wear. The sole area is bigger and like to keep tripping me up. I'm especially careful on the stairs.
I like the prize you won. Can you change the fabric for a different look?

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Yes, the fabric can be changed. I will get a posterboard to put behind it, and use spray glue to hold the fabric. I can make different ones to change out.

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

Very cool, I like the metal block frame thing. Sorry to hear about the fall.

On my way to massage. Hope it reduces the pain in muscles.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

oh Linda - so sorry you fell! Not a sprain or anything? The reason the feet hurt more, is that there are more bones in the feet than anywhere else in the body, so tiny fractures can have a bit of bone rubbing the nerves. Now, that's not to say a tiny bone break is debilitating, but it is painful. I broke some bones in my toes one time, and the bone chip didn't settle on my "knuckle" which was a good thing. Dr told me I was lucky, and that this kind of thing happens a lot.
That quilt metal frame is Great - lucky you! You can change out, based on the season, or your mood. How nice 👌

Morning all, haven’t looked at weather forecast but think it will be a sunshine day as it was yesterday! Girls and Charlie came from the city and all had a great du..took a lot for me to be ‘up’ running a fever and could barely talk..asked if it was still ok if they wanted to stay because if they were worried about catching it the could reschedule..class went on and many laughs..

Think fever broke last night..we will see, I’ve another class this morning, all know I’m getting over cold and seem to be ok with it..

Just made a neocitrin and resting til 8:30..ok from time to time I’m knitting but Ziggy keeps grabbing the wood..

LIndakay you are lucky you didn’t do mega damage to your bones..lucky you re the metal frame, block, it will look awesome anywhere you put up it, love the turquoise..

I have a wooden one where I can change the block, it’s in back bedroom, but I never change it..

Not sure I posted pictures of yesterday’s projects..not fond of the turquoise ones but think had they add Christmas pick I may have..june wants the blue so I’ll convince her this morning to add Christmas greener.

Dianne, I’ve been looking for table/bench set on wayfair set, I heRyou order quite a bit and SHARON has ordered a lot and no complaints..just hoping to find what I want..they had a perfect set but was white, all wood pieces darker wood..would sooo stand out. tH sure know what is the most comfy seat in the house.

Best I getdressed and sweep up the glitter, didn’t put glitter on my pieces but red ribbon and picks were mega glittered.

Those are beautiful projects. They look easy enough to make. Ziggy looks very comfortable.

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

Maybe if you had a plastic container/bucket with lid with SMALL hole it to run the yarn thru it would be safe from Ziggy!! Kitty with yarn is iconic image!

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

beautiful, Betty - I wish I could come by & work on all the pretties with you!

Ziggy must know I’m not well..sleeping next to me
Haven’t had a ball cold in ions, have one now though

This morning’s girls
I must have deleted their project..
