Happy Easter everyone..
Girls are snoozing and I’m wide awake, perhaps it’s because I’m worried Easter bunny won’t find me...not. Lol
Yesterday was a wonderful sightseeing Daly in Philadelphia, what a beautiful city, history at every corner.
Hoping today to spend time on the ocean sunning.
Susan, will check out if that plant/shrub can survive our cold winters, what color it would bring to my garden.
Off to hopefully grab a few winks
Best/Worse/What did I learn today? Pull up a chair and come chat with friends, new and old....
That is a beautiful shrub Susan.
I hope you get some sleep Betty.
Up and at it, likely leave here in 1/2 hour for sunny Atlantic city.
Did manage to get an hour in
Girls were sleeping so soundly, Jeannie was snoring, finally concentrated on counting length of time between snores and voila fell asleep lol
Happy Easter everyone.
See? sheep are over-rated as a sleep aid!
Happy Easter to my friends.
Happy Easter everyone. Have a wonderful day.
Betty - the cotoneaster would be able to survive your winters - we've had minus 35c & colder the past 2 years, and they're fine - they will survive our winters, surely they'll survive yours.
Have to see if the garden center can order them in..
Start our homeward truck today, nice to be away but nice to get home.
Awwww seems like you just left Betty. Waiting for pictures.
Just got in.. mom left for home before I got here..Ziggy laying next to me, nice to see I was missed..bought a little fabric, didn’t unpack car, leaving that for tomorrow
Glad to hear you are home safe.
I bet you were tired. Can't wait to see photos and hear about your trip.
Morning, high of 54 today, overcast and rain later in the morning.
Was thinking of lighting the brush in hopes some will burn before it starts to rain..
Off to get a coffee before girls get here
Was only gone 5 days but seemed forever..was nice to see the girls..
Rainy, brrrr cold goes right through your bones.
Should go to town, need some ant spray or boxes, something, freak out when I see an ant inside... on the other hand wouldn’t mind taking a hot bath, c9mfy blanket and cuddling in.
Welcome Back, Betty. I'll bet you are tired!
Went to the denturist today & he took impressions for my upper & lower. I got back on Thurs for bite adjustment. Then, May 31st I go to the dentist to get my 7 teeth out, and then have them install my full upper & 2 partials on the bottom.Looking forward to a full mouth of teeth!
I'll bet Susan!
Betty, good to hear you are safely home. Only a little bit of fabric?? how did THAT not happen?? Your trips are normally fabric shopping extravaganzas!
I can't believe how fast my peonies are coming up! Growing like gangbusters and already have buds!
Morning, yikes it’s damp out, was at Walmart at 7 and thank goodness I decided to wear a jacket.
Susan, lots of ouches in the next while but worth the pearly smile.
Bought a tray for seed pods this morning, just finished coffee and I’ll put seeds in them and see what happens, don’t really do well growing plants from seeds, if you don’t succeed try try again they say so try I will.
Sharon was at new house yesterday, was disappointed in yard..her daughter hated it,shaking my head! Sharon is off to Texas for big dog..
Just vacuumed, now dusting after I was floors, then downstairs for same then I can play.
What's wrong with her yard? Did she not see it before?
Post photos of your trip please? Would love to see where you went, what you bought.
Morning all, yikes saying we will have a high of 62 today, thinking I’ll work outside picking up branches as they are calling for rain the next 2 days.
LIndakay I guess it’s because she is on a hill and back yard is slanted and absolutely no gardens..what she has is so beautiful, with inground pool, bar hut, gardens etc that it’s a bit of a shock now that snow is g9ne to see what she actually bought.
Corning pa, glass museum
This gal was a little sore to run up the stairs that rocky did lol
No sooner got in did both Susan and Rita ask about the summer vacation so guess I’m going to have to look into where they would like to go and start planning I guess July isn’t that far away when you think of it.
Guess I should make another coffee and then head outside and see what I can get done who knows maybe I will put those cushions sign made out and enjoy.
Darlene has been sick since she has returned, waiting for her to come she bought so much thread and fabric for me that I’m anxious to see what goodies I have. She mentioned that her sister has a set just like mine and wondered if I would help her recover it, of course I said yes. Also want to look what antique window frame I have so I can start with her help do the gardening table that I want to do .
Again my iPad isn’t charging properly so trying to decide if I want to take a trip to Toronto to Apple Saturday or do I want to wait for the following week.
LIndakay, Take photos of the two panels I bought when I go downstairs
I have to make a coffee and a muffin and start my day.
Are you all up to today?
Looking like rain for us today so sewing it is.
headed out to my 3 day serger class. I am hoping this will restore my Positive Mojo as work has really put big dent in it. I am at odds with Boss over how I helped a client and we are REALLY disagreeing. If there is a write up, I'll fight. I did NOTHING wrong! I am still fuming over it.
beautiful pics Betty. Who did you say the person pictured with you is?
Rita, my friend, her sister-in-law Jeannie also travelled with us..
I’d fight it as well, surely you give it your all she wouldn’t write you up
Spent afternoon cleaning the yard, then came the crew to do the major cleanup, needless to say I was happy to see them. Did some burning so feel I accomplished something..even took down the back deck window hanging, pulled almost all glass off window and this weekend will be my goal to redo it..
Need a bath as I smell like smoke
Beautiful pics Betty, of your trip. Feels good to get yard work done, eh? :)
Looking forward to, and dreading, the visit to the dentist. Ouch - 7 teeth? It's another month (May 31st) so won't dwell on it here. Less said, the better!
Beautiful photos, Betty.
It's been snowing here since mid morning. Windter storm warning in effect until tomorrow morning.
Wow, Susan! Looks like you got a bit more than us. It snowed all day, but the ground was so warm alot of it was melting when it hit the ground. We did end up with about 2" of accumulation overnight, supposed to get up to 50 degrees today, so it will all be gone. It was pretty when it was coming down, though. Huge fluffy flakes.
Our yard was mowed for the first time yesterday and it's a mess. Some of it was long it was laying down so will need to be REmowed and I don't know... raked? Weed eated, something!? Lawn mower teen can't mow what won't stand up!
Got done with my serger class and started weeding and moving vehicles around like crazy. There has been too much rain and wind to spray chemicals so my gravel is "green" with weeds. headed out NOW, winds are calm but gray skies show potential for rain.
Hard to believe you are still getting snow up north.
Betty, where are you?
I know - we shouldn't be getting snow like this, when we've had summer-lik weahter so far. Lots of variance. Ah well, it's white rain, right? Gardeners love moisture!
Tonight, as we were leaving the bowling lanes (worked tonight), Bob tried to start the car with no luck. Called a friend in town, but they think it's either the starter, or the cylonoid.
I'm grateful it happened in town & not at home. 2 blocks tow, vs 1/2 hour tow... they may just bypass the tow costs.....
Last night was....... interesting....... After volunteering at the bowling lanes, we couldn't get the car started. Clicking, and lots of power, but wouldn't turn over. Friends charged it, but that wasn't the issue - maybe starter or alternator, or cylenoid (sp?). Friend lent us her car, to get home, but now we have to return & get the service station to look at it. Good thing is, it was in town that it happened, not at home 1/2 hour from town. It's sitting 2 blocks from the service station.
