It would have been nice if someone let you know before you made the trip! Hope you get some answers, Betty!

Victoria Harbour, ON

came back that I had it the night before they discharged me.

When they called me with appointment date I told them had one and was advised this one was different than that I had..what a waste of the morning, you would have thought they could have at least called and told me it was cancelled due to it being same , big sigh

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

aw geeze, Betty - they need to get their act together...... a huge waste of time, for sure.
We got a pressure canner yesterday - looking forward to doing some of the recipes included in the book with it - Quinoa is one of them, and I have some but have never made it. Not sure how, but with a recipe, I will ✌

Sorry you had to make the trip for nothing.
Do you make pecan pies?

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Good morning.

No sleep here.

I will not be hosting the Santa Warren Christmas Exchange this year. We have had 7 great years but it is time to move on. I hope someone will host a Christmas Exchange on this thread. I will look forward to participating in it.

Susan - jeans... don't you love them?? since they changed policies at work they are all I wear 6 days a week.
Betty, how frustrating. You seem to have taken it in better humor than I would have. That is great news about the home visits.
I could take on the Christmas exchange, everyone mails direct to each other after the hostess sets up names so that is doable for me.
Happy Birthday M.
Linda, I was raised with walnut trees so I learned to put walnuts in "everything". It's painful to pay grocery prices for what I used to have for free! LOL Pecans are even more expensive.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Dianne, we totally understand. Please count me in for a Christmas exchange.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Betty, are you out shopping?

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Anyone heard from Betty?

Victoria Harbour, ON

I’m here, darn cord on my iPad it charging, hope it’s the cord and notthe iPad connection.

Beautiful sunshine day, calling for rain but likely not before evening.

Making my list of ingredients needed to do my pies for Sunday, will go into Walmart and see for cord while doing groceries.

Was up,early, sewing mom’s cross stitch blocks together..will be a large throw unless she wants to get another package of blocks to do

If she decides it’s big enough I’ll put it on the frame, anxious to try the new stitch regulator jeff connected.

But, first I must get dressed lol

It is almost normal to see people at the store in their jammies and slippers.
Pretty sad.

Tom just called me,Aline just had a heart attach, has blood clots, rushing her to Newmarket hospital

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

oh Betty - so scary for Aline! Hope things improve quickly & she comes home soon. I'm proof that blood clots can be dissolved well, just have to keep active.

sunny today - Bob's going to put the skirting on the tub, and do the balance of the siding on the west side, and then work on the front of our home - it needs to be sided since our new windows were put in.
So, new tub, new floor, new wallpaper (on door wall), new tub surround, new paint (on mirror wall, and on toilet/washer/dryer wall) and now..... I'm sewing a new shower curtain.
Betty - you remember the panel we did in the Round Robin - my peacock? That's going to be the center panel on our new shower curtain. I was going to make a bed quilt, but this goes so well with the colouration of our bathroom, but I just Knew it had to be. I'm handstitching it to the bottom of the current curtain, then I'll sew up the sides & top. It's shorter than the current one, which will leave a white area at the top, however, I'm going to embroider that white panel. You know how I love embroidery!

Susan, why not hang it in front of the shower curtain separately. That way if it gets dirty, you can wash it.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

oh, I am - plastic shower curtain behind, and a separate cloth one on a separate rod.

northeast, IL(Zone 5a)

That is just gorgeous, Susan! I love it!

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Thank you.
The Best part is, when I got back my Round Robin, some extra peacock material was included, and I now have some to put at the top of the shower curtain. When I get the shower curtain up, and Bob installs the tub skirting, I'll take pictures. He installed our vintage wood door today, too! I just love it. Now, I'll have to restain the door frame mahogany, to match the door 😊😉

Paryers being said for Aline - she will rest & heal in an induced coma - this is a good thing. She's in the Greatest Surgeon Of All Time's Hands - bless her, O Lord.
