I'm up too Betty. It was a full moon last night. Wish we could blame our lack of sleep on that.

Full moon for sure, critters were going crazy as were some
kids in the area out late.

Cool and wet here, rained last night and into tomorrow they say. Right now
sun trying to break through.

Who do you give the dolls too when they are completed? I know Betty and her Mom have a few ceramic ones around .....and I have 2 I made up in the attic that are replicas of my youngest kids. One of the heads fell off and I need to get her put back together. Hmmm....maybe this is why said child has headaches. Have mercy lost my mind! lol

Suzanne dropped in at 8am..I had gone to bed at 5:30am, must have been in a deep sleep because she had to get spare key to let herself in..firlscame at 9 but only stayed a few hours.


Tummy not 100%,doc sent new script to pharmacy so likely I will go out and get it, for kidneys.

Debbie next time you come bring dolls with you..by the way, I called California fabric shop to let them know I mailed them US money order, soooo once they receive itthey will send pkg to you, I’m so excited about it.

Whilegirlssewedi machine embroidered another set of pumpkins to do table runnerfor Melanie..hope to feel better in a week or so (or before) lol

Dianne, got to love these sleepless night..so could go back to bed but won’t as I’d only be encouraging another sleepless night

sis & I buy the dolls at thrift stores & yard sales, some get donated to us. We donate them to a program that coordinates toys for foster kids, also domestic violence and back to thrift stores that provide for families in need as well as any organization we hear of that benefits those in need. Homeless shelter for women & kids, etc..

When we find really nice stuffed animals,. Marie washes those & they go to fire department. We had some we were going to make some into puppets but the ease of wash and GO (not remaking) is looking more tempting so likely all will go as animals, not puppets!!

Pat - you & your sister are two of the really good ones......... glad you get some dolls donated to you. It can be expensive, but oh-so-worth it to know the pleasure the little ones get from these dolls :-)

Not feeling 100% today, mostly spent on couch, at seven decided to come to bed, just nodded odd and Dianne called me, her move went well, talked a bit, hung up, friend Debbie called me to say her hubby Ken passed away this afternoon p, he was 68

68 is not only young, but it's my Bob's age. I can't even fathom life without him...... he can drive me wile sometimes, but that's the nature of being human, right?

On Tues we're getting our bathroom floor re-done - hooray!
We're also getting a new-to-us outside door!!

Morning, it’s a sunshine fall day, perfect kind of day..tempted to go out and cut grass but have to wait till later in the day.

Did get some sleep but spent 11/2hours diwnstairs, did some snow globes (fabric) then hotbath and slept for 3 hrs.

Feel good this morning but I not going to push it, will eat soft foods..applesauce,puddings forme and broth for lunch.

Rob, greg and jeff’s childhood friend is coming this afternoon to put furnace fan circuit board in, glad that it’s covered by warrantee, $650 wholesale.yikes

Joanne has been feeling blue, she says she needs a Betty hug so will drop by early afternoon then Janice p,Dianne and Helene come at 7 so I’ll not be lonesome.

You’ll be snug as a bug in a rug this winter Susan..nothing like sitting on a cold day, looking outside and around inside and say “lordy I’m a luck lady” home is ebpverything right?

Dianne this weekend is Meaford so of course I think of you, I found out that although the candle factory hadbeenbought out they will have for thevery last time the warehouse sale,full of primitives.

Tried to get debbie to come up and make a weekend ofit but so far she is resisting lol

No I won’t overdo, fresh air and exercise will do me good and soooo many pretties and a fabric shop, could life be any better.

Thinking of my girlfriends, Dianne whose hubby is slowly dying of cancer and Debbie just losing her hubby yesterday..hard times for those gals.

I see ladies around me, losing their hubbies, and thank God daily for the time I have with my darling hubby.
Yes, having your own home to do with as you wish, and make it not only the way you want, but not having to wait for someone else to look after "their" home is the best thing ever. It's taking time & $$ but it's so worth it in the end.
Went to a "bag sale" at our local thrift store, and got a lot of fabric etc for $5, as well as a Thanksgiving panel from the Fabric Nook. I'm going to make a wallhanging out of it. It's a vibrant colour. Also saw a quilt in the Fabric Nook, and I want to get a picture of it and "copy" as best I can. It's all squares & rectangles, with rich colours and blacks - very nice indeed! If I remember correctly, the border is black as well. I will take a pic tomorrow, when we go back to Three Hills.

Can't wait to see photo, I LOVE brights with black!

Was up early and finished off a few projects, decided to come up and have jello and coffee then maybe a nap..going to Orillia this afternoon so a nap is sure to regenerate me.

I decided to eliminate one unnecessary stressor from my life. I told the "guest" who had been staying with us for several months to leave. We were providing a comfortable place for him to be when he was not working nights, and weekends to sleep here.

He abused that gift and now he is gone. He just needs to retreive the dirty laundry he had under left hand side of the bed, I took the DIRTY dishes out of the right hand side... I no longer have to wonder if I have cold pop in the frig. My son is smart enough to know to NOT drink Mom's pop. Guest, inspite of being told by me and son in one week, still did not go out and buy his own. Too bad, so sad, I'm not mad, I'm just glad (he's gone!).

I would have kicked him out too. I hate people that try to take advantage of you.

Susan, that is a disappearing 4 patch I believe. Beautiful colors. YouTube has nice tutorials for it.

I'm hoping I have enough black for it. But first, I need to finish this queen quilt, and then do another queen quilt for which I only have the top (my peacock from the RR - it was from 2012 - about time I finished it!)

I have instructions for a Disappearing 9 Patch. Not sure where I got it from?! Not the same as a Disappearing 4 patch, but it's something I kept on the back burner, obviously

Betty, that sounds like some GREAT fun planned. I've gotten so I avoid most things that take lots of walking. My asthma and knees do not make them fun.

So wish I was with you this year, just not able to make it. Really enjoyed our 2 X we went....and Betty, it rained then too.

Very special video chat this morning to let me know great grand number 20 is on the way. Very happy and excited, Clara will be a big sister come March.

new frig, stove & Dishwasher have arrived... we have the living room cleared, everything into storage unit to make room for the new kitchen cabinets & cupboards until they are installed. I still have lots to do in the kitchen to clear cupboards of food but that can't go to storage and I think I want a nap first!

I could NOT work full time and still not get everything done that Betty does, EVEN when she is not feeling well. I would feel like a complete Wuss if I didn't know I was comparing myself to Wonder Woman Betty!!!

We just got in, long day, only a few rain drops and ithappened when we were inside..some color but not a whole lot..our thanksgiving isnext weekend and this event is always the weekend before thanksgiving so a tad early for color.

Bought a metal rusted art deer for garden and can be used to hold wreath, a wreath holder, 2 boxes of those long electrical cord sets that I mouth on my mantle, now have one for bedroom and downstairs mantle...

Lots of candle, few fall pieces etc etc and a lovely outfit for Thanksgiving..

Rita brought all her fabric to go through re wine socks so it will be an early night but tomorrow is craft day.

Darn,jeff has been trying to come up for the last 2 weeks to put my stitch regulatoron the machine I have on the frame....messaged me at 9 to say he was on his way up..oooops

He did put it on,not sure how you put all the little pieces together,get it working when you don’t even know what it does ..I haven’t tried it, tired so will try it tomorrow
