Sorry to hear your tummy is upset, are you being careful what you eat?
Karen, I know you will miss your old place, but being close to family will be awesome.
Best/Worse/What did I learn today? Chat with friends, old and new..come sit a spell
LIndakay, eating very little, up to jello and puddings
Sorry to hear that Betty. When do you see the Dr. again?
Have to call this morning for appt. couch day for me
It's cold out there so couch day sounds good for you Betty. Hope you can get into the doc's today.
It was supposed to snow overnight but it didn't. woo hoo. The sun is shining and the wind has calmed down.
Going to have my first fire in just a bit. Steve came yesterday and cleaned the chimney. For the first fire I like to keep an eye on it for a few hours ...... way out here fire is a worry.
Not sure I told you but I had to have Duke euthanized about 3 weeks ago. The prozac wasn't working. One day out of nowhere he viciously attacked Diesel and bit me.Diesel had a very serious wound. He just finished the meds for infection. There was blood everywhere. I couldn't get a compress on Dies' ear so I put a flex cone on him which stopped him from shaking his head. Of course it was a Sat. and the vet wasn't open. It was an extremely hard decision to make and I feel like I failed Duke.
If you didn't know where my part of the lane was you would have a hard time finding your way here. It is covered in leaves and looks like it is part of the bush.I love it.
LK how is the new heart med working for you ?

Omg Dianne, in no way you let Duke down, you gave him quality of life while you tried all..difficult situation to say the least. Did you and Duke need stitches? What a horrific thing to have happened..hugs
Glad you got your chimney cleaned, with the weather we’ve been having you will need it
So sorry to hear that Dianne. I agree with Betty. You did all you could to give him a wonderful home. Some dogs just have a mean streak.
New heart meds are working good at controlling thr pain and heartbeat, but I think I am allergic to them. I get really bad hives in the middle of the night. If I take a zyrtec it controls them somewhat. I am waiting on the doc to call me back.
Hope you get meds levelledlindaka so you don’t have to take meds to clear hives they are causing.
Waiting to hear from doctors office, secretary said they are booking into November, was going to talk to doctor Re house visit, if he can work it in, no call back yet..
Vomiting again
Sorry to hear that Betty, please don't wait too long before you have to go to the ER!
oh no....... Dianne - so sorry to hear about Duke. You did give quality of life to him. How's Diesel? Hope you & he are ok, after the attacks.
Betty - prayers for you, that your vomiting has stopped. How scary......
sorry I've been MIA for a few days - been a trifle busy around here.
Dianne, what a tough decision to make but you know you did make the right one. You tried so much to make it work but some things can't be fixed.
oh diane, sorry to hear that.
you did well with him and tried,
I had a rescue a alpha male he bit me stuck me in hospital for a week with a infection he had food aggression I covered for him, after many said put him down either way its hard to decide.
how are the other dogs doing ?
betty hope you feel better and get the doctor to come by.
lk hope you get your meds fixed , hives oh no
Betty please do not wait to long before seeking care. Earlier caught the quicker you get better.
Diane so sorry, I'm sure you did your very best for Duke. If you don't know the history, it's hard to help sometimes.
Evening all
Oh Liz, can understand you wanting to cover for him but could have been dangerous should he attack again...nice seeing you post..thought of you both today,Ann was saying what was on her bucket list, San Francisco being one of them, told her she would havre the best tour guide like we had..Kenny was the best..
Did go to er yesterday, spent the night
Only thing they found again was bladder infection
Got home at 10:30 cleaned myself up and went to Aline’s funeral
Just got in, rather tired so might have an early night.
What is causing the infections? Get some rest.
betty he passed away a few years back.
omg ann wants to see s.f lol yep were always up for a tour.
Morning all, suppose to be a high of 48 today and tomorrow with no rain..going to try and cut down some hosta leaves here and there, clean things up for the spring.
Was up early, though I’d go downstairs and sew a few Victorian Santa’s I embroidered into throws, need 3 as Christmas gifts but got side tracked, so much for early morning sewing, did my fridge, vacuumed and did floors upstairs..will dust then upstairs will be half decently clean..must at least vacuum downstairs or I’ll be tracking threads upstairs lol
Liz, wasn’t he a wire tailed dog?? I remember him biting you ..no didn’t offer your services lol. Another place she wants to visit is New Orleans, now that place I could be her tour guide 😍
Best I not sit too long or my energy will be a goner...
Liz this is the machine embroidery kit put together that I bought in California..imagine, getting designs from California, who would have thunk lol
I am finally back and able to post. My subscription renewal didn't go through right off and then with DH home.....and car/tire trouble....I was in a tight spot.
Hugs to all....
Debbie
Hopefully Debbie things will get back to normal for you..you always have so many ups and downs, big hug com8ng your way.
Made it to town, did groceries and got my prescription, as I was leaving it dawned on my the boat was gone, Greg came and got it yesterday to put in storage, 2nd year not used, what a waste.
Just put on a stew, just that kind of day. Guys were here starting on yard clean up, wind was up, as quick as they were blowing wind was blowing leaves back..they got a lot, they will be back a few times to finish the work..I’m so thankful I don’t have the job of raking.
Will have lunch then downstairs I go for awhile
Pray for us... Paula and are tackling the office mess without a life line tied around our waists. If you don't hear from us before evening, call paramedics, we are trapped in the debris.
Vomiting again, am sure emerge again
Sorry to hear that Betty. Sending prayers!
LOL! Pat, sounds like you have a lot of work too do. I need to sort my fabrics out, and I know it will take some time to so.
Debbie, sorry to hear you have had problems. What happened to the tire? Did you have a flat?
Betty - sorry to hear you're sick again. Please keep us in the loop.......!!!
sorry to hear your sick again, feel better, no it was a black and white smooth coat fox terrior, I love the new pattern so pretty.
So hope Betty is doing OK ..
Have a question .. re the pot roast recipe, I have it all prepped and in the slow cooker, do I cook it for 4 hours on high or low? GADS have made it about 6 times and cannot remember !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
~M~
M - i do it according to how long for dinner. If 4 hours....do hig. If 6 to 8.....on low
Betty will they not keep you until they find out the actual cause of all of this and have a treatment plan in place ? Or are you not following their instructions ? Not that you would do that Betty ....lol You only have 1 working kidney right ?
Diesel is healing well.Since it was the whole ear ripped open there was lots of blood and the vet could not stitch it. I had a flex collar/cone that I put on him and that limited the amount of shaking of his head he could do.He was on mega sized and dose of pills for infection for over 2 weeks. Not my first rodeo with dog punctures so I made sure I let each puncture heal from the bottom up ....... then you don't trap the infection inside under the scab. I also keep a round of antibiotics in the house so that part was covered too.
Yaaah Debbie's back !!!
Think I will wait until it warms up a bit before I go out and finish stacking the wood. My garden help Kieran came yesterday and helped me for 3+ hours. My back started talking to me so I had to quite Only 1 or maybe 2 hours left to get stacked. It is cold here today but at least the gusty wind has settled down Like winter coat and hat weather.
Deb how are you and the dogs doing? Any shows coming up ?
Oh Pat you made me laugh. I just think for me maybe it would be better to go into the office with garbage bags and just pitch everything. I've started shredding papers, bills and receipts from the 1970's. I can tell you how much a liter of oil cost in 1978.
You know on second thought I might just curl up with a book and wait for the TH's second walk later. They spent over 40 min chasing squirrels earlier. They are zonked out and I could read and even nap.
Hope your day is everything that you want it to be.

Thanks Debbie .. think I'll do a few hours on low, then high for a couple, we usually eat early, but, today we can wait :-)
~M~
Betty did spend night i ER but Home about 10:20 this morning
And NO she does't listen to them!!!
oh oh........ tsk tsk tsk, Ms Betty!! you Have to do what the Drs say!!!
Marilynne. I usually start on low then kick up to high after adding taters & carrots.
Oh Pat, I so sympathize. I have waaaaay too much crap here and have to figure what to do with it. Will be doing some tossing, some donating and some given to family. I tossed papers a long time ago. I just keep paid bills for 6 mos. now unless medical, I hang on to them. Taxes I had for way too many years and finally gritted my teeth and tossed all but the last 8 years, every year I toss the oldest. The worst is I have a file cabinet full of genealogy stuff & old family pictures.
I'm thinking I no longer need my good china or silverware. I really like my clear glass tempered dishes and serving bowls but I know I have way too many of those too. One grandson and his girlfriend are getting an apartment, thinking much can go their way. DD is coming this week-end to help pack up sewing room. Think I will get a bunch of totes for that stuff.
Due to lack of time, we will be having an after the move sale in the spring.
Can anybody link me back to the swap we had just few months ago? I finally have a picture to post. I had my son help me with camera problems again... the change of computer was driving me nuts.
My LED big frog is up on the picket fence, he has little buddies down below to the left . I also got a cut little frog with umbrella that I have at work in my pencil cup. It's like having a tiny bit of my garden at work with me.
Gmorning all, calling for rain again today, big sigh, kind of depressing weather
You are all wrong, I am behaving, the doctors don’t know whtpat it is, they simply focus on stopping the vomiting then home..I am taking bladder infection pills and all my other meds but nothing other than that am I to do..I rest when I’m tired and fret when I feel the nausea set it. I will have an appt with a specialist though, waiting for their call, don’t ask me what kind of specialist, they tell you all this when you are under meds in deep sleep. Grrr but a specialist none the less.
Pat, what a pretty front to your home, feels good I bet to accomplish so much...you will be exhausted for your work week.we did the swap on this thread,I believe..you can post it here
Karen, speaking of not overdoing...sounds like you will be, not good for your health
Glad diesel is healing Dianne, how about your wounds??
“M”how did the roast turn out
Liz, loved the California patterns I bought, great reminder of a great trip
Susan, all your outside work done
Debbie, got your new snow tires on? It’s a coming you know, I get mine friday
oh pat it looks so cute on the fence!
glad you feel a litter better betty
hello everyone.
Karen, have you considering having all the genealogy stuff scanned onto discs so that is can be sorted in much less space? Is there anyone else in the family that has an interest who would be willing to take it over?
My Ex's only interest in life was genealogy, hunting and fishing (not his own flesh & blood family). I still have boxes and boxes of the paperwork, binders and other stuff from the work he did. I am not overly interested in it but can't bring myself to get rid of it. I have a cousin would borrowed it, scanned it onto discs.
Sometimes hard to trash Pat but will you ever make use of them, maybe mKe offer to families reseRched and if nobody wants, to the dump to the dump they go..
Sharon was here today, she had 2 dog quilts to set to work on and my wide throat machine she needed..I was up till noon but after lunch wasn’t 100%so I lay Ed down in family room while I rested, about an hour before she left I was up and at it..back laying down.
Could hear equipment, young couple who bought the lot behind the secret garden have cleared the property line and putting up a chain link fence, black chain so you don’t even know it’s there, gradation news, means only the back of the property isn’t done.and it’s a big riverbed type area , I will plant a few trees and that will enclose it in.
Sharon said they called for snow today but likely it hasn’t arrived and she has a good trip home. Feel sorry for her, you could see she was in a lot of head pain from her nose break but she wouldn’t stop till she 2s where she wanted to be..she is suppose to go to doggy class tonight but that won’t happen, don’t know how she will make it home...
Pat, I love those frogs.
Betty, how did she break her nose?
Inuk had cut himself on fence post trying to get a rabbit, she brought him in, tried to get him on a chair, he wouldn’t finally she bent to get him and he j7moed up at same time, broke her nose.
Almost forgot it was voting day, rushed over..aunt Muriel’s grandson was running for council, I’d have been in trouble had I said I didn’t vote..
Drs office called..have appt with specialist nov 14 and she will have my doc do a house call and will call me with a day and time.seems strange getting this service.
Moved us over...
