Isn't there anyone nearby who can shovel for you Betty. You shouldn't need to do that when you are ill. Get more rest and try not to overdo today.....
Best/Worse/What did I learn today? Chat with friend, old & new, come join in, all welcome!
I agree Barb, Betty doe's not need to be shoveling.
Contact the local high school Betty. Kids have to have volunteer hours and helping you and would be counted and this would be added to it. They help you but best of all they would be helping themselves.

Well I played downstairs, worked on a hockey jersey sweater making it into a pillow for ex did..hmmm leftover sleeves, left over hockey fabric, maybe make it into a Christmas stocking for her young one.
put greenery into the 7trees, this year’s project and need batteries so I will take a run into town so I can get them and a few other things I need then tonight I’ll f8nish them off.
Kids old enough go to school in midland leave early and home late but that is ok I went out and in a few minutes I got 1/2done, will do the other 1/2
I did oh my god must be 5years ago bought a snowblower, used itmaybe twice, mid size, maybe I will ask Kyle or Greg to come showmehow to start it but then for all the time it takes not worth having snow blow all over me.
Cooked up spaghettio’s,been so long since I’ve had it thought I’d treat myself to a childhood favorite.
How about all of you, whatare you up to?
Wow, that is quite the endeavour lindakay..sure wish I lived closer, mega scraps here
Calling for another storm coming later tonight so off to get some supplies I need to finish off some projects..hot chocolate, mini marshamallow amd candy canes lol
Here is hoping it don’t impeach them before they are bagged
Morning all, storm is at bay, thankful as am doctors appointment in midland, roads should be cleared by then.
You can tell it’s christmas season and everyone is busy busy..missed you all. Lol
Is this a follow up for your problems?
What a ride, glad it’s not to far,storm8ng like crazy.
No, I made the appointment before it started up again...lasted about the shingles shot..he said but government decided to cover it so I got it and the flu shot
More prescriptions, glad it’s all covered.
Met Melanie at post office, she dropped in for coffee,so thinking of getting into my nighty, I seem to accomplish more when inthem. Lol
Found soup bones at the super store somaking a veggie soup, can smell it.
Debbie, have a stove story to tell you, will post in a bit
What, you are going to make us wait for that story.
Poor joanne, she was coming tomorrow to bring me alpaca wool to do stitching around Lisa’s pillow, she just got call her 66 year old sister was found dead in her apartment..sending her body to be evaluated, make sure it’s from natural causes..something they do as a norm..so sad
Joanne said she had bit of a handicap mentally as she aged, she is worried she may not have paid hydro and froze to death, told her not to think the worse.
Soup was so yummy I’m off for 2nd bowl
While in town I brought a cookbook, imagine on how to do I pan easy meals and slow cooker recipes, will try a few for sure
Will post stove episode shortly
So sorry to hear about her Sister. Sending prayers.
Betty now don't quote me on this but I think there was legislation passed so Hydro could NOT be shut off after the end of Oct until I think April first. Your friend must be beside herself.
Going to try out my new Insta Pot tomorrow. If it does even half of what they claim I will be in seventh heaven. I have to do something with my poor eating habits. Cereal, sandwiches and lots of water seem to be my meal plan.
Still snowing here. It started around 2 am and just hasn't stopped. The TH and I had what seemed like a magical walk early today. It was so quiet and the snow covered woods could take your breath away. By noon our tracks could not be seen.
Barb are you snow bound ? I watch a Boston news station and while they didn't get any snow just rain it sounded like you got really slammed with snow.
It's a good thing that Mike the general of my renos was not here when I tried to get the Escape out of the snow. I told him several times I had to be able to get the Escape in when it was inclement weather. He assured me it would fit. Well guess what?? Yep I can't get it in and close the gates.... It's a really good thing he wasn't here as he would be leaving a soprano.
Stay safe, warm and well
Dianne and her TH
Although we complain about the snow,Dianne I’m with you, the view is breathtaking..limbs of pine heavy laden with snow..it was, just cold, enough the branches all, seemed to be covered with diamonds. Still snowing
Oh no, likely have to wait till spring now to get things changed around.
I thought same Dianne about hydro but then the way joanne spoke of her sister shecouldnhave had no hydro for some time. Was just talking to joanne,p again, she is beside herself.
Ok, now when you watch tv and heearnof people perishing in a fire youmsay howcould that be..well easy enough some times.
Last night I,was cleaning the counter tops, wiping down appliances and scrubbed the microwave top, always seems tom get tacky and full of dust. I have a Xmas decoration, large cowl that has a lid and a cup which is inverted that looks like snowman hat..it fell and the handle broke so Downstairs I went and glued it, only intended for decor but worth salvaging.
This morning I went to get a banana from the glass bowl set on the stove, glass was broken and the oranges, pears and bananas were toast. Here whennthe cup broke it must have hit the dial and was on low, still too hot for glass over so many hours
In the garbage went all the fruit, keep think8ng how many times I set boxes etc on the stove , could have been disastrous
How come jeff didn’t take me to Miami, with him??
Took out wood sign, might bring paints upstairs and from time to time do,a,little painting..Linda’s 27 year old house sign needs to,be replaced..mygift to her this christmas
Betty it must be the moon.. I broke a very special mug last night. I have had it almost 30 years. I can clearly see the day, the Christmas tree and how it was wrapped..Made me tear up. It broke to smithereens so I couldn't even try to put it back together.
Still snowing here - the WLs say it will keep up until some time tomorrow. When we went for our walk this afternoon Chaos was a hoot. He rolled down a hill with snow flying around him. His face just lit up. He had so much fun he went back up and did it 4 more times. Diesel and Duke were looking at him as if he was nuts.
LK did you get some snow? I saw a clip on the news about snow in Texas.
Sleep well everyone.
Dianne and her TH
Sorry about the broken dishes Betty, hard to believe the stove was hot enough to melt glass. Please be careful.
Dianne, I can just see Chaos rolling in the snow. Sounds like he had a grand time.
We had about 2 inches of very heavy wet snow last wed. morning, then Thursday it rained all day and Thursday night it froze. We had ice all over, but it never killed any of the plants, not even the weeds. It reaches mid 60's during the day, and we get down to mid 30's at night, but not a hard freeze yet.
Quick drop in, just finished visit from joanne, she was so upset about her sister, was on her way to the town she lived in with hopes of getting answers..she made me a rugged snowman for snowman tree and gift certificate for kfc, Tuesday gals dropped in with the most beautiful Christmas piece, cage about 2ft or more high and lights up, will hand it or pit it on fireplace..June gave me the cutest air plant I’m a glass urn that lights up, I set it in the tree for now as an ornament..spoilt I am lol
Those are beautiful.
Praying she gets some answers.
Keeping Joanne in my prayers too. The not knowing is so difficult.....
Love the goodies Betty.
I haven’t spoken to her tonight but will call 8n the a.m.
Hoping was a heart attack and NOT freezing to death..will tell her of the prayers, she will feel better I am sure!
Must be light up the world Christmas gift day..
Helene brought me homemade goodies and this bottle, paint8ng Xmas tree on it..lights turn colours when faddng in and out.
Been one heck of a l9ngday soheadingtobed after bowl of jello
Still nauseated, maybe a good night’s rest will help, either that or a trip to hospital, hope not. Big sigh
Told Darlene I wasn’t going to Florida, thinkmaybe illgofebruary irmarch for a few weeks
My day with Sharon
Quilted her black/white one forher friend, she finish topper for another friend and we made 3neck warmers and cut out 3more
Then I ask why I’m tired. Lol
Night night
sorry I've been MIA - Christmas decorating fever has caught us, and we also have a new neighbour who moved her home next to ours today. Her name is Carol & she has a quilting machine. She & her ex came over for coffee tonight while the movers were settling her mobile on the blocks & getting water, etc set up.
Great news susan..
Morning everyone,it’s a cold one and snows a coming..
Yours truly is fightingnausea, pills are keeping vomiting at bay right now, yucky.
So today I will lay on couch, bring up the 7pieces that needs lights strung in greenery..later I can add sparkles and snow and they are done, withhaving them up here I can do one here and there, so need to get them out of the way
Sure hope you are feeling better soon Betty. Beautiful projects Betty.
Susan, sounds like you are in the Christmas spirit! Enjoy your new neighbor.
Still in Jammies Linda Kay..just sat and did lights on 8 trees, have to bring them downstairs and add snow and sparkle then they can be bagged
Once I do that I will bring the hockey pillow upstairs and hand sew where I inserted pillow.
Greg picked up the sewing machine bobbin for the Husqvarna, so missing it now that I don’t have the janome 9000, wouldn’t you know they sent wrong one...grrr
Am looking at a new machine, close to $2,000..will decide Saturday
Figure with $$$ i get for Christmas, what I would have spent going South it would pay for it..leave it to me to justify buying a replacement machine..do I need it, not really but I don’t drink, don’t smoke, rarely go out soooo why can’t Santa be good to me.
I say get the machine, you deserve it.

Boys say ‘go for it’ said ‘your 70th is in a few months, treat yourself’ got to lovemy boys...am sure when they walk in my craftroom and see 6 machinessecretly they wonder why in the heck I need another..
If nothing else will make Melanie happy, she sees and they would all go to her should something happen to me
So that makes it a good investment.
Just popping in quickly as I see company coming down the lane.
My Santa Warren box is winging its way south. Barb's Santa Warren box arrived today. I haven't opened it yet but the TH are VERY interested. Duke and Chaos moved it off of the table. Amazing as they didn't let it drop.
BBL
Dianne
So glad it is there Dianne!!! Enjoy!
Lindakay you are so encouraging lol
Oh how exciting Dianne, will look forward to seeing what Barb sent, rwith the dogs, what is in it? What is in it? They are better than I because I’d have ooened it not just moved it around lol
We are home safe & sound. So glad we stopped in OH last night. I know hubby was getting weary. This morning I-75 was clear and dry. Smooth sailing until we had to head west. Surface roads weren't awful, not great either but could have been worse. Got a good scolding from the cat even though he was very well taken care of.People in TX who have shown much interest have asked their agent to do a virtual tour live tomorrow. Great grand with a birthday and another showing on Sun. Monday I have to get my heinie in gear and do Christmas shopping. Still have most of it to do. I have all my lists at some point I will organize it so I know what I'm getting where. Our adopted granddaughter suffers from FAS and sadly always will. Her birthday is this month and usually we have a present cut off at 18. But when she asked if she could still make a list this year, I didn't have the heart to tell her no. I make gift bags for the "grown" grands with several homemade treats.
Morning all,
Karen, wonderful you are home safe and sound and to come home to positive feedback re possible sale of house is beyond good news..don’t overdose the Christmas shopping, you don’t want to end up in bed sick for Christmas.
Kyle’s Birthday was yesterday, and yes we love to spoil our grands..I needed birthday gifts for Kyle and Greg (Jan 1) so I called lafontaine trailer park where they stay from time to time, holy moly, $50 a night, one could almoststay in a hotel forthat and not have expense of the trailer..seems high to me!
Guess I’ll go look at my list of to do’s and pick something, list is getting smaller.
Calling for squalls today so think I’ll leave going to Barrie for tomorrow..
Morning everyone. Bitter cold here and it looks like it will be for a few days.
I was thoroughly spoiled by Barb. Your moose is sitting right beside me on my night stand. I am fighting an ocular based migraine so need to power down for a few hours. Then I will tell you all about my amazing box from Barb.
Stay safe, warm and well
Dianne and her TH
Glad to hear you are home safe and sound Karen. What is FAS?
Dianne, I can't wait to see what you got from Barb.
Looking forward to hearing as well Dianne, sorry about the headache..
Got a call this morning from Elaine my aunt exilda’s daughter, I was raised with them like sibbl8ngs, she was the last one alive..passed away at 5:30a.m. Saddened by this

Sending our deepest sympathies Betty. She lived a full life for sure. LOVE the quilt
Very special.
