Worried about the blurred vision & headaches - if it's your eyes, it will be simple.
Rest, Betty, rest

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

I can see all the problems you have been having being related to an eye problem. They are such a part of our lives and we often take them for granted. Easy to overlook until the symptoms start to overlap. Please get them checked as soon as you can Betty. Sending prayers....

Victoria Harbour, ON

Overcast but mild out, lovely day to get out and amgoing to try.

Headache and unfocused vision still a problem, going to try just wearing $$store glasses today when I need them and see if it makes a difference.

Just had a bath, having coffee, will do hair and see where the day goes from there.

Karen we all fuss about eCh other, wer worry about each other, family do that right..soon 2018will be here and it will be so much a better year for us all..

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Thanks for getting checked out Betty. SO glad you are back home. Praying the headaches go away soon, and maybe new glasses will work for you.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Betty, did you get your heater fixed? If you have carbon monoxide poisoning, it can cause all your symptoms.

Lyndonville, NY

I am just now getting here and seeing Miss Betty was ill. OHHH
Next time...send me message on Facebook. I have had a rough time and couldn't get on computer!!! My phone doesn't access Daves and I can't read it.

SO send me a message to check on Bessie Lou!

Betty you monitoring your salts, no chinese, no soda.....all that kicks up the BP.

Yes, you read right on FB 2nd deer accident in 2 weeks. This one the rental car.

OK, I need get to work.

It is Santa night, DH is Santa and I get the picture processing.

Debbie

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

OH NO! Sorry to hear about the rental car.

Back in bed fighting nausea

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

:( Sorry to hear that Betty, hope you get over this soon.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I went to San Antonio yesterday to get my stress test results. The Dr. said my heart is fine, but I have an abnormal heart beat most of the time. When I wore the heart monitor for 24 hours, it showed the slowest heart rate was 58 beats per min, and the fastest was 168 per min. So he told me he is not calling it AFIB yet, just an abnormal heart rate, so he put me on Metoprolol Succinate. I hope this new pill works.

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

I'm on that LK and it has been keeping me pretty regular. My rate goes up as it nears time for the next pill and goes down shortly after taking it. Hope it works well for you...

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Betty I sure am sorry you are having all that trouble. Nausea is awful, I'd just as soon toss my cookies and get it over with.
Bet you're relieved to have an answer Linda, hope that med. works as well for you.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I hope it helps to.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Barb - your heart rate going up prior to pill time, and going down after - is that due to stress?
Betty - valid points about salt/chinese food, etc and carbon monoxide poisoning - that's a very deadly issue. Please get these checked out. I really wish the hospital had kept you in, as much as you wouldn't want them to...... I really worry about you & I know we all do *Hugs*

Christmas tree's up & decorated, outside lights are on, just need to finish decorating the house, and put the finishing touches on the yard sign as well as seal it and the chair to go with it.
Today, Sunday, is the first day of our rushing around for this week - dinners, etc all week. Love the beginning of the season :-)
Really annoyed (more than that actually, but trying to be a lady about it) at the fellow who hasn't paid Bob for his work at the Arena - HE got paid at the end of Nov, and hasn't paid him for Oct either. The treasurer has gone to Mexico for 10 days, and Bob's out of pocket. Not only hasn't he been paid, the fellow is ignoring him and the invoice Bob dropped off.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Susan, I would go up the chain of command till you get someones attention.

Victoria Harbour, ON

I’ll be here in hospital again tonight..grrr

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Keeping you in our prayers Betty.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

I know you don't want to be there Betty, I'm a terrible patient too. Right now I feel it's a safe place for you to be.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Tomorrow Bob's going to call the Ag Society. Even though the treasurer is away, there's got to be someone who can deal with Chester.

Betty - I'm Very glad you're in the hospital. You won't be driving with splitting headaches & blurred vision. If the DMV found out, they might take your driver's license away and it would be hard to get it back. I know - had mine taken away for 2 years, and I even went before the College of Physicians & Surgeons to try (unsuccessfully). I had to wait for 2 years until I could prove the medical situation they said I had, was in fact not a current reality. I'm lucky, I have someone in the house who drives. You rely on your own driving.

Thunder Bay Ontario, ON(Zone 3a)

Good morning ..
Sorry, but not, to read Betty is in hospital ... with the symptoms she was displaying, the hospital is the place to be.
Withdrawing drivers licenses is a real fact .. and becoming VERY common .. post cardiac arrest or a stroke it is pulled for a year, and, you MUST take a course to prove you are A OK. Sooo .. as crummy as it is being in hospital, best to be there and find out the cause of the headaches and hypertension.

It is POURING here, in December !!! Go figger ??

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

I'm glad to read you are being looked after Betty. I know you don't like it but it is really best for now. There is a reason for all these issues and it needs to be found.
Get as much rest as you can while you are there. It will do you so much good.
Sending prayers for answers.....

Morning,

Mom got here at 9and just left

Doc said a few days at least in hospital grrrr

They are just mind boggled re the extreme vomiting..of course with all the meds for vomiting it’s stopped but minute I don’t get them I’m back to vomiting.

Must call girls and cancel tomorrow, not a good time to be sick

Oh well

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Crafting can wait. I am sure they will understand.
Get better soon.

Thunder Bay Ontario, ON(Zone 3a)

Hi..

Had coffe with some friends this morning. One was looking quite 'off' . she had just had a bout with 'pancreatitis' ..
https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/pancreatitis/symptoms-causes/syc-20360227
Her symptoms mimicked Bettys .. just a thought ... it's always kinda sounded like gallbladder to me, but, her tests have been negative ..

We are in FOG .. schools have closed, and ice is expected later today :-(

Take care all.

~M~

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

*Gentle Hugs* Betty. Sorry if I sounded like an alarmist, but I am alarmed.. Extreme vomiting, blurred vision & headaches - nothing to fool with. I know you're saying that it's not a good time to be in the hospital, but frankly, no time is good unless it's necessary and obviously it's necessary.
Take care, dear Betty

northeast, IL(Zone 5a)

Sorry to hear all you're going through, but glad you're at the hospital. Praying that they can find a reason for your problems.
Just got home from a weekend run to Colorado. A dog that I am breeder on ended up in a bad situation, neglected, living in a crate 24/7. Owner is bipolar, stopped taking meds, in and out of jail. She agreed to let me have the dog, but I never even got to see her, she was once a fairly good friend. I had to meet her son in a parking lot at 4am to get the dog back! Glad to have her, but, fighting a cold, and feeling really tired right now. Got home at 10pm last night, had to go to work today, will try introductions to my crew this afternoon.

Victoria Harbour, ON

God bless you debbie

Not much on the breakfast tray, then I put too much milk in coffee and cold coffee it was

Would be nice to go home today but I’m doubtful

Hope your day goes well

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

You stay put as long as you need to please Betty. And if your coffee is cold, ask for another cup!!! You are so important to all of us that we would gladly bring you some if we could..... Try to rest today.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Norm knows where our timmies is Barb, know he’d be there in a sec..their white hot chocolate with peppermint is soooo delicious.

Doctorhasnt finished his rounds yet so there is still hope..they took me out of isolation, stopped iv, potassium ok, blood pressure ok, nurse says maybe home today but likely they may want to keep me till tmr she said as to make sure potassium stays at good levels but I’m ready for home.

Cross your fingers

Mom has doctor appointment thursday at nine, storm coming in so would like her to go home today vs tomorrow so she doesn’t drive in blizzard,

Doc just put his head through doorsaid he’d see me in a sec

Ooh just came, sending me home with meds

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

So what is causing all your problems? Glad to hear you are going home, but please don't overdo things.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Same as before, all those emerge visits, can’t find cause

Will give me anti nausea drugs in hopes if I take daily I won’t get another episode

Here is hoping

Lyndonville, NY

I am behind. Just found out this morning when I was on the run, that you are back in hospital.
You are doing too much again. Stress and not resting. I hope you are NOT going to Florida!!!

northeast, IL(Zone 5a)

It seems like they really need to get to the bottom of your problems, Betty. Something is causing that, and just covering up the symptoms with meds is not helping. What if it comes back again? Just repeat?

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

It's so frustrating when you get the Dr. run-around. Do take it easy Betty. I know it's hard to not be your busy self. Sometimes you just have to give into it.

We got all closed on the rental. Heading to TN for a week or so. House there I really liked and has been available for months just sold. Just breaks my heart.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Did you get any bids on your home from the showing the other day?

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

I agree with Debbie - no rest & lots of strees seems to be the issue, Betty. Every time you are in the hospital you're ok and they send you home. When you get home the symptoms happen AGAIN. Just covering it up with meds is not enough.
I wonder if it's something in your diet that's irritating "something". They have a pretty bland diet in the hospital for a reason.
My daughter has to go on a diet that will stop her system being irritated, like canola oil, cabbage (and the family of) and tomatoes.

Lyndonville, NY

Yes and another thing I notice, it is after an "free for all" coming to Buffalo and eating out and non stop shopping!

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Nothing from the last showing but it was an agent looking for a client in TX. She really likes it and wants her client to come look at it. I suppose she has probably several for her client to see so....

Heading downstate tomorrow and then on to TN. Still getting bit by the shingles but it won't feel any better if I stay here, week 5 and no end in sight.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Can understand Karen about the not feeling good regardless of where you are. Sad to hear your dream home is gone, here is hoping you can find another. Now could you close your present home for winters and spend balance of time in Tennessee area? Might be the answe for a few years.

Debbie, yep think it’s all too much for me, girls are going to have to realize that and let me spend more time in the hotel room while they shop till they drop. As well debbie, decided as much as I wanted to go to Florida for Christmas it’s not in the stars this year, am sure darlene will understand. Jeff called last night and we spoke about when he will come, Melanie will do Christmas dinner at their place, jeffwill check as to when the boys will be with him, both boys coming home around the 19th so he is hoping Christmas Eve and Christmas morning, then if weather was ok might take mom to Buffalo for a few days. Money spent going to Florida I’d have someone come in and paint 2 bedrooms and downstairs laundry and woodworking area, give the place a fresh look for spring. Who knows, maybe even a janome to replace my tried and years.

Susan, I’m going to take a good look at what is in the refrigerator and do a grocery order of healthier foods tomorrow

Deb, how has the crew taken to the new family addition?

Debbie, what are you and paul doing for vehicles?

Lindakay, good news about the heart right but still major concern, how is the quilt coming along?

As for quilts, Melanie’s friend and one of the area kids when I worked at community centre dropped in this afternoon with a quilt for me to quilt for her, not a Christmas pressie, doesn’t matter when it gets done so I said yes.

Still have a list of to do’s but not worrying about getting them done..heard mom tell her friend that she might not get the quilt she was doing for her TIL after Christmas seeing I was I’ll so less stress there, need to finish repairs to tarp for scoot for Doug, make the pillow I’m doing out of hockey jersey IF well amd no worries about anything else..still 3 weeks and easily doable if I stay healthy

Debbie and Dianne, hope you both fare well re today’s storm..

Gee I’m chatty, tummy is making noises and I’m praying that is all it is so taking my mind off things..Lordy the wind is just a howling, got up and made hot chocolate praying no snow on the ground and so far so good.

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Good morning Betty. It is so good to hear that you are finally going to slow down a bit. There is nothing more important than you and your health. I have had a hard time learning that too but I guess that is our nature. I can no longer do so many things that were so simple before but now are quite the challenge.
I saw my primary care last week and she drew blood for an iron check. She called me on Monday with three new pills to take and suggested a blood transfusion to get me started back to where my red blood cells should be. I guess they were really dangerously low which accounts for difficulty breathing. I am not getting blood at this point as I have heard so many horror stories of infections etc. so slow with the pills but unless it is an emergency, no trans....So I am becoming a slug with sitting most of the day and not doing much while I sit....
Sending prayers you get better quickly and follow the doctor's orders. Look what that did for Pat's Ben!!!!! Sent with love. Barb
