Awwwwwwwwwww .. Dawson is wonderful ... hope he'll be a good 'wee' pup :-)

Cool morning here .. 53F ..and a storm on the way, 'maybe' .. of course, the bugs rule the outside .. and, NO wind ..

WOW Sharon .. I did know TBay was the geographical center of Canada, and we live on what is called the Canadian Shield .. a lot of HUGE rocks around here, and, mountains too .. not like the Rockies, but not small.
Japanese noodles sound good .. I made Udon noodles last week .. kinda good with shrimp and veggies :-)

Off n running .. going to go to the cemetery and check Lorna's babies (the flowers) ..

And that puppy is so darn cute.

Morning all,

No need to pack that jet propelled broom Sharon, so expense to run so thought I'd behave.

I managed to sleep even with music till 3:30,guess the quiet put me in la la land, couldn't fall back to sleep so got up till 5:30 and went back to bed and slept till 8:45
Yippee hmmmmaybe I slept better under the new colourful blankie lol

Having pancakes then will get up to something, rains, clears, rains, clears

I bet those puppies are adorable?

Victoria Harbour, ON

Not too pretty right now (dg won't let me post photo)

Not a wonder you can buyore reasonable furniture, all come in a box and you spend time putting it together

But then they send you instructionsor wrong piece of furniture grrrr

Have it 1/2 together and now at a standstill..hoping when I call at noon when they open they can email me instructions

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

Goodness! Lots of reading to catch up on!
Glad you are doing better Betty.

Victoria Harbour, ON

That I am, for today and hopefully future..told the girls that do roadtrip that I'd give it a month and if ok I'm ready, if not we will do another Canadian trip

Sharon's champion is 10 now, how many more years will does she feel that he will stand stud? I don't know the life expectancy of that breed.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Betty - THIS is taking it easy?
Pups may not be in their full glory yet, but they're still cute :-)
More tidying & clearing in the house - adding this room (den) means a lot of taking stuff from other rooms & putting it in the den, and where there are now "holes" in other rooms, things are going to where they properly should be - Such fun! (tongue in cheek, sorta, but not really, cuz there IS a measure of fun in finding "missing" objects lol)
I found a box of books, and 20 years ago I wrote a book for a class I was taking (went back to High school & it was in my English class), and wow - good book, but I wrote so fast - every sentence had powerful emotions, action, or knowledge. Looking back, I would have written a little more "quietly" but still....... descent book if I do say so myself. A book of class poetry too - I like my poems better than I like my book lol

Victoria Harbour, ON

Afternoon, just back from town, even treated myself to supper seeing I've been such a good girl. Lol

In and out of stores for this for that to finish off projects, doesn't take long to spend a few hundred..be glad when all this construction is over.

Pat, lordy ions ago Sharon had frozen seemed from different show dogs she has had and using the frozen now..inuk I believe has had his frozen, technology is a wonder

Interesting susan..my niece wrote a book for same reason..must ask her if it's still ongoing

Had 5 minutes rest so guess it's time to put shopping away

Too funny, bought a yellow pillow for my bed and a flower..when I change again I'll have an outdoor pillow

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Love to meet you on FB. I'm under Karen Lee Koschke.

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

A friend of mine had a show dog that was killed accidentally and I remember her rushing the dead body to city 3 hours away to preserve the semen.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Oh my pat, didn't realize theycould still take sleek..have to tell Sharon

Did a fitchet apron for a friends' mom

Had to remove the flower, wonder why??

She has dogs, so it should be fine, but not for cats apparently - they can't process the chemical in their system......
Didn't realize that there was a chemical that could be sprayed on clothing to deter bugs of all kinds! And for 6 washes?!?!?! I'm impressed

Thunder Bay Ontario, ON(Zone 3a)

Gordon is on his way to WI today, will have him look for the Premethrin ...

Furnace on throughout the night ..looks like a rainy/cool week to come.

Have a great day

~M~

Victoria Harbour, ON

Hope it works..

Well I changed the flower as per Suzanne re fidget apron, need to find another add on before Janet picks it up

Decided to do the final step of the coffee table, doesn't line up..drats, need to measure and do some drilling

Took out the tv stand pieces, hmmm looks confusing

Burnt the boxes these items came in, was going to sit near the fire but omg skitters would have carried me away

Now having coffee and cereal before Service mSter arrives and my guys, not sure if they can come today or if it will be tomorrow, anxious to finish this project, can only hope it's done by weekend and the pod gone..am I expecting too much, over anxious??

Tummy is fine, so far so good with these meds, let's see , am at Day 4

Guess I will finish breakfast and get dressed

northeast, IL(Zone 5a)

Sharon's pups look really cute. Seldom get the mix of boys and girls you're hoping for. But know all will be loved, and probably go on to have wonderful show careers.

For someone who was so sick in hospital just a few short days ago, it's amazing the things you are doing, Betty! Please don't overdo!

Victoria Harbour, ON

I'm 100% Deb when I'm not in violent vomiting jag
Think the pills are keeping it under control

Think Sharon's wait list for puppies had mostly female wants but I'm sure she has names for the males as well. The last 4 born (different female) are all in homes except a male Sophie fell in love with, says he has the markings of another
Inuk..got to tell you I could easily adopt at my age in comparison to what you have to do to get one of her puos

Service master use came, now that new floors are in the will paint all their shop and return tomorrow to install all door casings and baseboards, suits me
Now my guys aren't here but they are hoping to come around noon and get all done today as well, we will see

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sounds like things are coming together nicely for you!

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

Betty... I wasn't sure if you REALLY didn't know why the flower had to be removed or were being sarcastic! Placement was not ideal! LOL

I'm making headway, anxious to be my little minor do-over done-and-over. I can only imagine how weary of the mess & eager to be DONE you are Betty!

Susan, thank you for the offer. If I decide that is usable choice for me I'll be in touch and request the directions.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Wasn't being sarcastic Pat, didn't even realize till Suzanne pointed it out, now on the side lol

Think Dawson is being spoilt!

I am SO thankful for good neighbours! Ours (Red is his nickname, I don't know his real name) helped my DH slide our piano onto our deck, and into our home! It's been outside all covered up, since August.......... minimal damage to the back, when they slid it onto its back, and onto our deck. Then they brought it upright, and over the threshold into our home!! I'm going to leave it to acclimatize, then get it tuned - maybe 3 months?!?!?!

Victoria Harbour, ON

You ard I are nearing the end of our reno's susan and none too soon..

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

We dropped 30 degrees in less than 2 hours and have LOTS of thunder, lightening, WIND and rain. In the morning I'll check the damage to my flowers. I did take my hanging plant down and set it on the patio. I thought it less apt to be damaged that way.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

All mine had to come down last week-end. I'm so very tired of the cold weather, I need some summer.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

We have so many ups & downs in our weather - between a tornado missing us, major winds (121mph!) and rain, then hot hot hot, we've had everything but snow lol

I feel like I'm unpacking from a move - finding all sorts of memories and treasures!
It's the good part of the move, putting things where they belong :-)

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning all, cool but sunshine day, in fact I planted2 containers of succulents in hypertufa pots I made last year and put umbrella up so things can dry.

Full house today, service master for baseboards and door casings

My guys 3/4 of a day to finish odds/ends

Girls to sew and birthday party for June and pat

Soooo almost glad I could not sleep and got up at 3:30

Garbage at roadside

Finished inside/outside of a diaper bag for Darlene (John's son/wife having a child)

Did some outside work but had to quit, mega skitters, will go out later thisaft when things dry up.

Am sure I'll be in bed early.

Thursday all my treasures come back in..hurrah hurrah. Then thursday night meeting up with godson, his birthday is the 2nd of July, had almost forgotten about the gift I bought him..his cottage reflects his love for wildlife, hovbby is fishing..bought something for house but bet he loves it

Am hoping that all the humidity in pod might have ruined my couch set, all that is old, could have a new one right?

Best I go get ready for today

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Betty, could any of this be from that nasty bite you got on your forehead a few years ago?

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Happy Birthday to your godson, Betty! You sound good!
If your couch set is ruined, the insurance would pay for another? Hooray!

Off to the surgeon's today, to get a checkup & maybe get a date for the next knee replacement? I feel like first one is only 40% healed, but I'm losing weight, so that's a good thing, right? Right after the surgery I gained back 50% of what I lost, so maybe that's why I'm not healing as quickly. Here's hoping that I will heal better now. I do have my stamina back though, so that's a good thing

This message was edited Jun 27, 2017 4:36 PM

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

40% is not good Susan. Keep that knee moving when you can.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Not good at all..

I is soooo tired, to make matters worse I went and picked up paint for the bedroom that they made into the,p sewing room, they put machines, tables, ironing unit downstairs so I could have the room for tomorrow so I can paint it tmr..that way when they put bedroom outfit together tmr it will be freshly painted

Waiting for godson Paul to call so we can meet up, need to give him his birthday gift or he will, not get it till Christmas

Ohhh just called, on my way out then bed

Verona, ON

Sunny here but Apr temps. Mike and Doug left around 3 as heavy rain and T and L were moving in. Things are going well with the reno. I am hoping I can sit out on the new area on July 1 Canada Day. If not I will be able to sit there on July 4 and I will help you all celebrate.

Judy I had hid the lovely bookmarks you had sent me so Chaos could not eat any more. Anyway it was the case of I'll put these in a safe place and forgot where the safe place was. Found them today which made me really smile.

Betty your idea of taking it easy is definitely NOT what the doc thinks. Sending positive thoughts your way.

Susan you must be over the moon getting your home together. When does your friend come to visit ?

The itchies are gone ... but I am not holding my breath.. A fellow DGer suggested I take 4 Benadryl at a time as that helped her. I took 3 at a time every 4 hours for 2 days and I was much better. My legs are still winter white with several bites that have been scratched open. Not a pretty sight.

Are any of you planning a July 4 party, BBQ ?

LK I was thinking about you cooling off in your pool when it was so hot here last week. I dipped my toe into the lake but not time yet for me to go all in. The level of the lake is very high. I would say 6 - 8 in.

Chaos and Duke took off today and would not come back when I called them. The TH is quite discombobulated with all that is going on here.Diesel knew better and hopped into the Escape. The 2 little devils where exactly where I thought they would be.- John and ML used to give them treats or cookies. They have sold but my 2 still think there are treats to be had.

Forgot to eat today so I had better find something to eat. Nothing exciting in my fridge though.Well except for the dark chocolate.

Stay safe everyone.
Dianne and her TH

Victoria Harbour, ON

Will be so nice for you Dianne, I'm excited.

Actually dr. Said to do as normal, it's inside tummy he says not anything to do with rest of body lol

Think I feel better when I'm busy

Bought a toilet paper holder with ceramic fish for godson Paul's birthday..he loved it

June just called, heard they made $2745 on my quilt..will help a tadtowards new roof for Legion!

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Wow, Betty - that's an awesome amount for your quilt and towards the Legion's new roof!!
Susan arrives on July 22nd, and will return on Aug 5th. Camping is July 25th to 31st. Christmas In July is July 23rd
Now all that's left to do here is put siding on the addition, paint the back decks, and put the railings on the back as well as privacy screens & cedar posts.
Nice that a fellow in our church will help Bob put the siding up. Lambert used to sell siding, and to quote him "I've put up a bit of siding in my day" lol

I didn't like the Dr (she) I saw today. My knee surgeon wasn't available, and she said "you know you'll be on blood thinners for the rest of your life now, right?" She said my pulmonologist said last June that he recommended I stay on them, but I refused. No, he said "it's 50/50 - up to you, and 30% of people who had blood clots will get them back" To me that means 70% Won't. And the reason for my sedentary life no longer exists. I'm an active person normally. She said I should speak to my Dr about it. I forgot, when I went to get my prescriptions renewed right afterwards (oooooopsie, but that's my memory, not my lungs!!) She has no idea of my level of activity, and tried to trick me into telling her I wasn't very active. With helping Bob lifting lumber, furniture (no, not the piano) etc, I am an active person, looking forward to bowling again. I don't sit for very long at any time. Drs who meet you for the first time and make snap judgments should not misinterpret stuff! Maybe my pulmonologist wrote down differently than what he said to me, I don't know, but he did say it was up to me. It's been a year that I've been off warfarin, and I'm doing juuuuust fine, tyvm That's my vent for the day lol

(Pat) Kennewick, WA(Zone 5b)

Susan, I understand your frustration. I've been thru similar, not fun.

In the end, it IS up to the patient, MDs don't like to hear that though. I am VERY happy with my PCP, he knows me. Is willing to give advice, weigh options and let me make informed decisions. Some MDs THINK they are god, others are CERTAIN they are!! A few good ones know they are an instrument in God's hand and let the patient make their own decision with all the facts given. God bless Dr Cain, when he retires I will be LOST! LOl

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Years ago, I woke up on New years eve, and was sick as a dog. I could not get into my regular Dr, and so I went to urgent care. The nurse working there, looks at my arm, and saw little white spots and told me with out testing that I had lymes and gave me 7 scripts for antibiotics. I asked her what she was going to do about the reason I came here, I thought i had bronchitis. She told me this lymes needed to be treated first, and told me to leave. I looked her in the eye, and told her I would not be back to her office, and don't you dare bill me for todays visit. I needed up going to the ER later that day, with severe bronchitis. When I saw my regular Dr. the following week, I told him about that nurse, he immediately called some association and reported her. I never filled those 7 scripts.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Pat - I agree about my Dr - thank goodness he's still young enough that retirement is Way Way Way off. I saw him today when I went into Calgary, and he's a gem. As a walk-in, I saw him right away, and was out at the car within 10 min of arrival!
I'm going to email him and let him know what was said between the a knee surgeon & myself today.
