Just dropping by to check on Betty. I love new PJs. We are all praying they come up with a solution to your illness.

We are having a cool down. Going to be about 105 today. I found several plants yesterday in the landscape that were in trouble. My garden helper is coming by at noon to check things out.

Just back in my room, doc was thrilled with what is showing up, some good things in the 40cm that they are concerned about. Now doe eats....

Betty - happy that the Dr is thrilled! Does that mean he knows what's the matter, or that the 40cm is not as bad as they thought?

Betty, your being in the hospital will give us all peace of mind. I am thrilled the doctor was happy. To bad he couldn't tell you why.

I picked a couple of ripe tomatoes this afternoon and we are having BLTs for dinner. Vern just had a root beer float so he will not be hungry for a while. Nursing helper said this morning he was getting stronger. Night helper is a great help because my biggest problem was getting him out of his chair, moving him to wheelchair and then from wheelchair to bed. Good thing we saved money for health expenses like this.

Diane, how is your rash? How is your remodel going?

Betty is home as of this morning. Workers are there and she is supervising new floor.....and I hope resting.

Doctor said the colon is looking better, has a list of foods to avoid and a new anti=nausea med (zofran).

Bob's outside readying to put the 2nd coat of paint on our deck, and I'd best get the inside organized! Today's another sewing day, too! Making the 1st of 4 Canada Day cushions.

That is good news. Now stay well and stay home. And chill. I know how hard that is to do but try really hard to do so.

I just got back from outside. Today our high is going to be 113. I had to hand water a few plants that were wilting big time. Then the dogs and I went for a short walk. We have a great greenbelt with lots of very large trees so the majority of the walk is in the shade.

Susan, so excited for you nearing the end of your construction. I need to find something to do inside because it is to hot to be outside. I put the garbage out last night and I told Vern, at 9pm, it is still to hot to garden.

Debbie, thanks so much for keeping us updated. How is your new roof goings?

Good to hear Betty is home, but, I hope she has been told about one of the side effects of ZOFRAN .. constipation ... your tummy motility will slow so no nausea or vomiting, but, other parts of the body will as well, as in, the bowel .. lots of water, and a stool softener will help (colace) .. ... be vigilant my dear ..

Was a busy day, watched the guys lay the floor, so nice..
Monday service master come with all the trim and will paint it here, once installed tues/ Wednesday they can bring in my goodies..oh happy days!

Start of the weekend's 150th anniversary, music just a bale ring, remember debbie when I had the gathering?? Same but more bands so having a tad trouble falling asleep..will try during intermission then it won't bother me as I sleep through anything

Best sleep was in the hospital.

Curtains in green for craft room

Between what I already bought all but the bookcase and cubicle bench will have been replaced, who knows, might go for the gusto

Counting days before I'm back in my craft room..ask me if I'm anxious?

"M" right now I'm tacking haloperidol every 4 hrs. And suppose to for next month, the big meds I have to pick up tomorrow and take only if I feel like vomiting ..tks will do more researches

I walked my gardens today before I miss all the blooms..while doing so thought of your gardens.

I'm down state for great grands 1st birthday celebration.

I was busy sorting and putting away my bobbins, etc, in my sewing station, and taking the wool out of the cabinet I have in the dining area - moving it to the bedroom until I get the den more sorted and place to put the wool. Currently I have a stationary bike for my knee exercises. Don't feel like I have energy to do all the house straightening AND exercises lol I'll be having my next knee replacement in Sept, so will need it then, for sure. In the meantime, I go on Tues to see my surgeon. Hope to get a date for surgery then, too.

I walked into the kitchen to clean up after dinner and had a shock big time. My KOI pond can be seen from my kitchen window. Lo and behold, there was a big owl in my KOI pond waterfall taking a shower. I rushed and got Vern and helped him stand up by the kitchen sink and he watched. He had never actually seen my buddy. I snuck out and counted the fish after he flew up into our tree and all of the fish are still there.

Betty, sit down and do none of that. Take the weekend off and start on Monday. You do not want me to fly there on my broom and sit on you.....

oh oh - picturing Sharon flying on her broom, and sitting on Betty - NOT a pretty sight lol

Sharon - so glad all your Koi are still there - they must have gotten a fright though!

My gosh Betty .. have you taken any of the 'HALDOL' yet ? My heavens, it's a majorly potent drug, will cause drowsiness, and other side effects .. I would hope it's a low dose ..

With me it's a Crow .. I call 'him', INKY .. when I hang out laundry, or, work in the yard he fusses around in the trees, and, I talk to 'him' ..

Yard work to do , BUT, bugs to fight off .. supposed to be a rainy day .. sure has been a wet few weeks here ..

Back from town, bad part about going so early is 1/2 stores are closed.

Hope not too strong, wheezy but not vomiting type

The dosage is small .. glad of that for sure ..

Zoey, our Westie rescue, has a bad ear .. itching and scratching, tried to get a vet appt. JULY 10 !! Am looking for another vet ..

Yes, Bob & I are busy, but so glad to see our home coming together.
Had a busy day already - helped Una decorate her car for the parade in Torrington, then off to sit in her car for 1 1/2 hours in line. had to be in line at 11 for a Noon parade, and we were early. Good thing, because we'd have been nearer the end.
I sat in the back seat of her car, tossing out candy to the left, and Sandy sat in the passenger seat, doing the same, while Una drove. Afterwards (when I finally found Bob) I had a hamburger at the Community Hall, and now we're home. Took an hour to find Bob, as he & I kept missing each other. He went to the recycling depot in town and I was walking home looking for the car at least. lol
Hoping to have our piano into the den (from outside) soon. I'm in better condition to help than last fall when we moved it from across the street. At least now we know someone who will lift it onto the deck so we can wheel it into our mobile.

Holy wash "M" that is outrageous to have to wait that long for a vet appt.

Meet Dawson, Kyle's new furry

What a doll Dawson is. Loved your parade. We had parades like that at home. We have a Summerlin parade on July 4th. Summerlin is the area I live in Las Vegas. We used to go when the grandchildren were in the parade but to old and to hot for us now.

Susan, so glad you will be able get your piano inside.

Marilyn, I was watching a program on PBS and they mentioned Thunder Bay. It was the history of the earth and our planet ended up the way it is now. They said a lot of proof in Thunder Bay. It was fascinating.

New helper this morning because Saturday and Sunday helper had a family emergency. This one just sat and looked at Vern. She did get him out of bed and into the shower. Vern is currently watching baseball. We are having Japanese noodles with shrimp tonight. I throw in some snow peas and shredded carrots and a little onion. I am finally learning how to cook smaller portions and not have as much left overs. Cooking smaller portions takes less time.

Here's the pic of the float in front - Santa & Mrs Claus lol They were promoting the Christmas Party in Dec. That's Una driving, and Sandy in the front seat. Sandy & I threw candy out to the kids.

Maybe someone said, but are all the parades that start of Canada Day celebrations? Isn't that next weekend? Or since it's a big year do you celebrate all week?
