Oh Karen I can sure identify with you although my problem outside. I was out for the day and Warren knew exactly what I wanted - it was the stairway to the deck. I got home and I was fit to be tied - the 1 thing I wanted the most was handrails on both sides all the way down to the lake. Nope no there. I could have spit I was so angry.
Susan things seems to be coming together for you and Bob. Woo Hoo
I'm with you Deb - the best part of my work day was always early in the morning.
Was Ziggy easy to capture this morning ? My 2 just ran and hide when they see the cat crate.
Today I take Chaos in for his checkup and vaccinations. I was supposed to take him in on Mon but my eyes were acting up so I cancelled.
Dianne and TH
Hubby said he'd add an extension but I think it'd look awful. No need anyhow, since we have the GS& family back here they are the ones who use it and they are tall. I'll just keep on as I am with the upstairs shower since that's where my clothes are. Wouldn't make any sense to go up to get clothes, come down to shower and go back up to finish.
Good morning,
Thank you all for the well wishes. Don't know about what to take instead of celebrex. I am allergic to Naproxin...which is also a form of all this and the Motrin, not as strong...doesn't upset my system...but is only good for a light headache.
I went out yesterday to get my allergy shots and came home and almost didn't make it....stomach was not happy. Came in...warm shower...and heating pad. Slept 2 hours and woke up with kitties alll over me. Cat scan complete....lol
We have a cold wind blowing and storms coming in. Said afternoon will be severe....so Betty...good thing you didn't travel here.
AND...there are BIG LOTS everywhere. Not just Lockport. I hope little Ziggy does well. He will need a few days of quiet after this adventure.
Susan I know you will be so happy when all that remodeling is done. I swear I always have something in transition here and never completely finished. DH has never finished painting the foyer.....it has been over a year...no the paint will never match. Need scaffolding and he is too heavy to stand on it. AND Now I am sick of the color! Oooops.
Karen I have same problem. I am 5' 2 1/2 .....and dh is 6' 3" He said couldn't put it low as it wouldnt wash his head. So....we have it high....but I can push up on the hose, and grab it....and put it on a "holder" we put down 2 foot for me.
Barb, how are you and Mr. Norm doing? I hope he is behaving. Do you need some Timmys sent up your way?
I am going to go for a little walk and check out whats about to bloom. Is so overcast, I am going to get wet if I don't hurry.
Waving to all....
Debbie
Huge storm here through the night. One thunder was so loud it woke us all except Amelia and the baby. Lightening had to be close on that one. Surprised we didn't lose power.
Betty - that is drop dead gorgeous!!
Karen - do you have a "gripper/grabber" you can reach the shower head to take it down? Sorry to hear they installed it too high!
Omg Karen lol they will have to do some revamping
Been a long day, just got back from the city, raining, yucky day
Ziggy seems ok, not fond of collar, how do they eat with the collar on, cut it down a bit hoping that does it, think more has to come off
They should have put the right size collar oh him. They can figure it out, sometimes it looks like the cone is on the floor, but he can eat with it. If you cut it too much, he can get to his stitches.
Morning all,
Ziggy doing ok this morning..found wide clear tape and taped the plastic I cut off back on..
Big sigh, lots of drama this morning ,
Went downstairs to get a pattern for Sharon around 8am, all ok
Went down about noon, yikes 2" of water, sick to my stomach, saw that the hot water heater on top of tank was leaking and spraying water..called Enbridge gas, rent the inti, amd it was oh well so sad, can't come till Sunday put new heater in..I said heater, it's the 2"inches of water everywhere, reason your tank!! Ended up telling me I should have been more pro attractive calling them to check on a 1997 tank, told them their equipment they should be pro active..so Sunday new tank gets put in..
That doesn't help the water situation, told me to clean it up, send them a bill and they would see if payment would be made, ask me at this point if I'm 😡
Called my insurance company, odiferous course they can't conform if I'm covered or not, someone from claims dept has to call..now I'm worried.
So, can't leave basement with water for days on end, call Service Master and spoke to a wonderful man named Paul..asked him how much it would cost for them to come and suck up water, said he would come over asap and give me a quote..
Long story short he is the clean up crew company that my insurance works with so he phones main guy at claims, had them check my policy and within 1/2 hour was gicpven the ok to do what is needed..apparently. 2 month process:
. All cupboards / bookcases etc sitting on floor have to be replaced (4)
. Craft room has subfloor and then linoleum on it, all has to come out of craft room
into storage and it will be replaced.
. Sub floor in woodworking area has to be removed and replaced
. 2ft of drywall in the entire basement has to be removed, replaced and repainted
List goes on and on and on
So guys are here sucking up water, they will come back with a team of men, storage box and everything in basement goes out..my poor craft room..sooo
They came upstairs, saw I had a 3rd bedroom so said they would take the bedroom outfit and put it in storage, then bring up a few tables and make a sewing room for me..so nice of these guys..wipe a tear. Lol
g
I don't drink, think I could use one though..thought I should have a hot bath, no can do, need a hot water tank. Bid double sigh
Oh Betty, seems it never rains but it pours. We have an on demand water heater. box about 18 x 36 hangs on the wall. It only runs when you turn on the hot water. Only water in it is what is in the pipes. I think it saves a good deal of energy. I think initial cost is more but after that they are quite trouble free.
Says between $40,000-$50,000
Just sent a man to check on my furnace
Well I'm feeling much better, know when all is said and done in a few months I'll have a brand new basement, only way I can think about it right now,,will miss my craft room though

You have me getting nervous, Betty. I think that's about how old my water heater is! What a mess to have to deal with. So glad they were able to set up a sewing room for you upstairs, though.
