Raining here for the last hour and doesn't look like it is going to let up.

Steve and Pam came and the desk is put together, in the den and they took all the cardboard to burn. The TH have given it the official sniff test so the desk is here to stay.

I was just going out to puddle around with the TH for awhile outside and up pulled Steve. Now its raining so I guess I don't have to feel guilty about reading.

You be careful Betty - I am sure Darlene would understand if you couldn't attend.

Trying to decide whether I need anything at IGA but I think not. Will go into village tomorrow to get the Toronto Star - usually they have some Sat papers left over. I think Bill 1 of the guys puts 1 aside for me. We must be having more TO people locating down here as the TO papers go fast.

Stay warm and dry everyone.
Dianne and her tH

Victoria Harbour, ON

Had hoped you would have sunshine Dianne and here you get to spend the weekend in duck weather.

Is your IGA (foodland) open Easter, not so supper ours is but managed to get all I wanted in midland..have to start eating vs buying, freezers are full, fridge and cupboards the same.

Sharon said Walmart had prime rib on this weekend dirt cheap, forgot to ask her what dirt cheap is..not so sure I'd have pkavpceplace to put one.

Made sure Chinese restaurant is open tomorrow and is till noon so I'll call to see who is coming if anyone and order before the closing..even if kids come later it can be warmed up, always cook a mega Easter meal with a zillion pies but not this Easter, all understand.

Jeff said he would come with kids depot do outside work for me but if it's pouring rain no sense, I'd rather he come back another weekend.

Aline called, said she would pick me up at 3pm
Didn't want me to drive myself..nice of her

Yikes, was going to take a nap but time slipped by...

Victoria Harbour, ON

Happy Easter everyone!

Hope it's a sunshine day in your neck of the woods, raining here but far better than snow

Had a lovely afternoon at Dar's yesterday, lots of old friends hadn't seen in a bit and luckily didn't have a coughing jag...was early to bed though.

Mom had left me a voice mail, called her and got all of s minute of talking before I couldn't..says she is coming up tomorrow or Tuesday for a drive..wish she wouldn't.

Waiting to hear from Jeff to see if he and boys coming up

What are your plans for the day?

Hooe Susan is ok, she hasn't posted in a bit?

Waving to all of you

"m" how is everyone in your neck of the woods?

Sue, are you able to post photo of the puppies, they must be quite a size

Dianne, dull here but rain has stopped, hmm haven't been outside so not sure about the skitters here.

Lindakay bet you have a vase full of roses in the house?

Barb are you going to family today or just taking it easy. Sorry if I've forgotten, but did they have your brother's memorial?

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I can't bring them in the house. My allergies would go into over drive if I did!

Lyndonville, NY

Happy Easter everyone. It is 71 and have windows open and airing out.

In full cooking mode. Not sure if Shannon and Shane are coming yet. Will be enough food for 2 weeks if not.

Enjoy your day

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Hi - I'm here - just been very busy with financial paperwork, and library book organizing.
Tomorrow Gino is coming to do more mudding/taping - hope it's the last day & done.
We want to get the ceiling painted then the walls & put in the floor so we can USE the room
Right now I'm going out to paint the storm door.- it's rust coloured with that "it rubs off on your hands" type of paint, and I hope I scrubbed it all off. Need to prime, then paint it.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Evening all, rained off and on today, of course no work got done as it outside work was out of the question..

Debbie you had my sunshine..did the kids come?

Sorry to here the roses would set your allergies off, much beauties, what a beautiful bouquet they would make, oh well, you get to enjoy them a lot longer not cutting them.

My lilac trees are old, the surround what I call secret darden, maybe this year it won't be so secret, need to plan new ones, I so love the smell indoors.

Susan, glad you posted, was befpginning to think you overdid and wasn't feeling well..sounds like you are enjoying your time at the library.

wasn't sure who would be here, as it happens all but 2..easy fix, ordered in Chinese, containers went home with MelGreg and few hours later when I started into the hacking they thought I should go to bed and left, Jeff had a 2 hr trip home so he wanted to leave before it got dark..said last 2 weeks he has spend so much time on computer that his vision is blurred..if not better in a few days he will go see about it, thinks he just has to rest his eyes for a bit.

Greg/Mel took containers home as well as Brianna..I've 5 containers left so think the girls who come Tuesday will get fed lunch, I always order double, hate to think anyone would go hungry..we were 7 and think there was enough for 12+. Didn't make pies so bought a carrot cake in honor of the bunnies today, it was either I'm to full or not a fan of carrot cake so guess who has a cake untouched, guess I will be have desert for the girls gals after their Chinese lol

Had some bad news, Andrew who plows, for me was admitted in hospital a few weeks ago, now home and given a few months to live, bloody cancer..he has 2 little children..Mel was telling me that he has his house up for sale, trying to sell it quickly so it's one thing left his wife will have to look after, far to big for her and lots of property's of maintain..imagine how hard it would be for them..sure wish there was a miracle with his name on it.

Melanie's mother has a blood disorder and has chemo every few months, her dad had a strike before Christmas and is recouping, they so wanted to see Newfoundland so Greg and Mel will be flying with them end of July, renting a car and travelling Newfoundland..will be hard for them.

Here I'm I complaining because of a cold, bad me!

Well best I go downstairs and make sure all is turned off, I did a bit more on the cross stitch quilt, likely one more morning of quilting and it can come off the frame

Hooe you are relaxing

Wish you were closer we could have coff/tea and carrot cake

Sounds like it was a good day anyway Betty. Glad you had family with you.
Norm and I had a quiet day here. All the kids called and we had invites but thought quiet was best. Norm has been pushing a bit and he needed a day of not doing anything. It worked and he feels good.

Victoria Harbour, ON

That is good news Barb, sometimes we think we are feeling better than we are.
Think my mom is coming tomorrow, wish she wouldn't for a few days

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

We are back to quiet now but sure had a fun crazy day. In the middle of it a man knocked at the door and wanted to ask questions about the house. He apologized and said he would come back another time. I told him he might as well see what this place is best for and if he can stand it we can too. So his wife came in and I gave them the grand tour. They actually spent a lot of time here and asked a lot of questions. They live near by and have a large family, that is scattered all over. They are looking for a place to have room for them to visit and they can rent it out the rest of the time. I told them we have done that with this place. It can rent to college kids Oct. to May and by the week for $1800. per week in the summer. Plus the rent income of the second house. They were wowed by our upstairs sleeping arrangement. I know better than to hope but it's sure hard not to.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Betty - you're not bad, you're sick with a cold.
Sorry to hear about Andrew - sounds like he has a young family, so he can't be very old either.
Gino comes back tomorrow, to do more work on the den - Hope this is his last day. It will be, if all he has to do is sand.
I scarped old paint off a storm door. Have a dark grey paint that I'm going to paint it.

Lyndonville, NY

Good morning, 10:30 and no one has been here? Ooooooh....I don't like this!!!

Betty, you are healing from a brain bleed.....AND Pneumonia. NOT a common cold.

I slept most of yesterday when not burning dinner or making a total mess. Sleep was better.

Going for my first coffee at 10:30. I think I am skipping allergy shots today, just not up to the drive.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I am here. I have been waiting for someone to post. Looks like everyone is sleeping in.

northeast, IL(Zone 5a)

I checked in early, and didn't have anything interesting to add, so just waiting for others to stir. Looks like a pretty day outside, guess I should be happy I have a job I enjoy, but I'd rather be outside enjoying the spring weather today than sitting at this desk

Deb.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Afternoon everyone,

Was up early, had a fairly good night, runny nose but overall think I'm on the mend

Debbie, did I hear you say you burnt something?

As for Andrew I believe he is 43, heard different ages so I'd go with 43.

Did about an hour on the quilt, got tired of that, decided to work on ROADTRIP 2017..all typed, will wait to print until I buy a binder..keep all these ROADTRIP binders to look over or should someone else want to do the trip, would help them out.. Shhh don't tell anyone, booked all hotels gor New Orleans trip, have all entertainment ready to book should they decide it's a go..I've emergency numbers, contact info, insurance info and the likes..did 2 loads of wash, few calls and visit from Darlene, she brought me several bags of goodies that I left in Florida for her to bring back.

Deb do you work mon-fri or are there weekends involves..what are the temps? Can the dogs be outside yet? Are they spoken for.

Lindakay, always wonder what you are up to?when next in San Antonio?

Susan, was it a door painting day.

Still in jammies, think if company comes I'll,say I'm getting ready for an early night

northeast, IL(Zone 5a)

Yep, work 6am - 3pm Mon-Fri. If there is a weekend involved it's on my time, since I'm salary. It's supposed to be in the 70's today, haven't been out since I came in to work this morning. It looks nice, from in here!
Pups go for their first shots next Monday, then we can try outside if it's warm enough. I have a waiting list of people, I just don't know which pups will be available. Waiting for my friend from Fla to come and pick her two. She'll be up in about a month. Not enough pups in this litter to go around, so some will be disappointed.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Not doing much. I just got back from the vets office. Our german shepherd has been limping, and just found out she tore a muscle in her knee. Not much they can do but give her anti inflammatory meds. If she gets worse, then we have to take her to San Antonio for surgery.
I will probably go to San Antonio in a few weeks, to see my sons new home they are renting. They are moving in today.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

I was up but upstairs sewing. I have 4 quilts back from the long armer. Had to get the binding made today as tomorrow is VFW sew day. Putting the binding on so they can go to the wonderful church ladies who will do the hand sewing. I think I'll go early tomorrow and pick up some good thread for them as a thank you.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Deb I must be very difficult to decide where each pup goes..how do you decide, do you have criteria? Or are they usually to a friend of a friend? 70 to me is perfect weather...cool and damp here. Those are my kind of hours, I'd rather be up early, by getting off at 3 you still have good part of day ahead of you..bet you are in bed early...

Bet the kids Lindakay are excited to be moving to new home, likely new area..is it right in San Antonio or outside of the city? They will be pleased to have you visit, been awhile right.

Bev, you are so ambitious, winderful you are back to being healthy..likely the ladies would love good quality thread..Lordy when I'm on the quilter you see your thread stash deplete so quickly..I've got to buy more when I'm stateside.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

It was a door painting day yesterday, and today. Now I'm working on the library file.
Gino said he won't ever be doing mudding/taping again - not a job he likes to do. He'd talked to our neighbour who was going to hire him for his job of same, but Gino said he'd have to talk to him about it because he didn't want to do it again.
Still working on the Library file - so many edits to do to 1400+ books......
Searching on a site called Goodreads.com, which tells me which genre they are, because "Fiction" isn't sufficient in my mind. 98% of the books in our library are fiction lol Nor do titles start with "The" or "A" lol

northeast, IL(Zone 5a)

My work hours are my choice, sort of! We need to be in the office between 9am and 3pm, beyond that, it's up to us. Some start as late as 9, most come in by 8 or so, but it's nice being flexible.

I've had one friend waiting for a puppy for a couple of years, the others are people I know through showing dogs, one couple found me on facebook, they had a dog through a mutual friend, who was actually great grandmother to these pups. She had just died, and they were searching to see if there were any descendants of hers. Once the pups are a litte older I'll evaluate conformation. Those that are show quality, people that I know will show them will get first chance at. I'm keeping my pick, and my friend that co-bred the litter gets two, so, that only leaves 2 pups to choose between everyone waiting.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning,

Sunshine day, birds are chirping big time..
Garbage day, got it to the curb and now waiting for the girls to get here..sniffling big time..will be so nice when I'm back to my old self, semi healthy, guess I'm in the age group that is not going to happen. Lol

Saw on Facebook that Debbie is in the hospital, hope it's a short stay..hugs Debbie, love you.

Deb, it's great that you have a choice of where your dogs will go,messes the mind.

Susan, did Gino finish the muddling?

Dianne, you getting this sunshine?

Best I go make coffee for the girls
Waving to ally

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone.
Debbie went home last night, she slept in her own bed.
Beautiful day here too.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Has anyone heard how Debbie is doing, in the hospital?

Gino finished the mudding/taping - now we'll wait for it to dry and and we'll sand it and paint.
Gino said he'd come back when we're ready and paint the ceiling in the rest of our home. When our tenants painted the wall, they slopped over onto the ceiling and it's beige on a white ceiling. We have to fix the cracks caused by the move of our home first though. It's all about repairing small & large bits and pieces of damages. The end of the tunnel IS seen though. I'm getting more & more excited.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Glad to hear you have that light at the end of the tunnel Susan.

Debbie is home, she had a bad reaction to the celebrex she was taking.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Where is everyone.
Time to wake up!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Evening,

Been a busy few days, mom has been here, had company..now tmr morning I go to the city the bring Ziggy for neuter, needles, nails etc have to be there at 8am so have to leave here by 6am then wait till 4 to be able to bring him home..long day ahead

Verona, ON

I'd like to tell you it was a lovely Spring day but I can't. It was like a gloomy Fall day with rain off and on all day.

Didn't sleep at all last night. Made the mistake of laying down and bam I had a 2 hour nap.

Betty are you driving into TO or Barrie ?

Dianne and her TH

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Been keeping busy with knitting, X=stitch and sewing. I jump from one to the other. It has been a dreary day here too Dianne. Most of the afternoon, I cuddled under a blanket with the Kindle......

Victoria Harbour, ON

Damp and cool here as well,

Barb, those are the best days, flitting from one thing to another..

Dianne, bought a vaporizer and put Vicks in it, take a gravol, by the time I settle in and listen to the steamer I drift off. Don't you hate it when your mind won't shut down, even counting sheep doesn't help.

Dianne, my friend gave me the wrong contact info, I just assumed when they said Newmarket that is where I was suppose to go, had to prepay today when confirming appt but now joanne tells me I could have gone to Barrie, too late now..

Wish I could have dropped him off earlier or picked him up later, I would have taken a quick drive to Buffalo, big lots in Lockport had 4 umbrellas, 15' X 8.9'x12 feet high and I want one, ikely sold out by Sunday, said they won't get anymore in. Big sigh

Don't want to take the chance of not getting back on time so guess I will spend the day in malls and fabric store lol. If I've energy after my class Saturday I'll leave around 6:00 Sunday morning and do a run providing when I call Saturday night they say they have one in stock..asked if I could pay via credit card and them hold it but they said no, disappointing.

I'm tired, rambling..I have about 1/2 hr of quilting and I could take quilt off quilting frame, trying to find enough energy to do so..mom is cross stitching a Santa piece.

Betty - you're overdoing, obviously. Take it easy, please.

Glad to hear Debbie's back home. Is there an alternative to celebrex that she can take?

We're trying to organize now - feels almost like Spring cleaning!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Look at the clock, pushed it, got the quilt off the frame

Few spots especially in diamonds have to be picked out and redone and a few areas to be quilt on..not meant to be free hand quilted but I did it.

Of all the things we've been doing to the house, the one thing I wanted most was the 5 foot shower with a seat. Finally yesterday, it was finished. Unfortunately I was gone to my VFW sew in all day. First thing I checked when I got home was the shower. Those goofs have the shower head..which is a hand held...above the top of the shower. I can't even reach it. Siiiiiiigh.
