Both Norm and I had follow u[ appointments with our primary care today. Norm is doing great and doesn't go back for a month. I don't go back for three months!!!! We are both anemic but on the mend....Norm's diabetes is under control and he will be going to cardiac rehab soon. Still need to get t he eye situation checked out. Must call his own eye doctor for a follow up to his January exam...Was told to tell about vision going bad since surgery. Should get him an appointment quickly. Sure hope so.
Still no talk around about the drama. I know the owner of the house has not been back... We shall see.

Barb, its also good care/loving he gets from you..good that $$ are coming.
Going to see if I can settle in, coughing so must I'm vomiting, pill might help
Found out last night that the owner's son had committed suicide. His girlfriend recently broke up with him. Such a shame.......
Good morning everyone !
very sorry to read about the neighbour's suicide. i figured that was 1 of the the circumstances i mentioned before. So sad and of course they would have to wait until the coroner arrived so the body can be declared dead. Our GP was also coroner so by me calling her directly it would save her mountains of paper work. it must have been very unnerving for you and Norm to see it all come down.
another dull, gray, cool day here with a threat of rain.
Need to get my day started,
bbl
dianne
Sorry to hear this Barb, unnerving for sure! Sad
Dianne, mew have same weather, of course wouldn't you know they are calling for rain all weekend, Jeff said he would come Sunday morning and he and the boys would help out, month happen if it rains.
Bad night last night..ribs sure are sore from all coughing ..I think I ought to get up and move around, Just might help break up the flem
Sending our prayers for your neighbors Barb. So sad.
Betty, listen to your body, and get some rest.
Scratching my head - the reply that I had posted for here ended up on another thread. do ya think i could blame that on the dogs?
Dianne, strange things do happen in cyberspace lol
LINDA Kay I'm looking mighty spiffy in my new jammie sets I got from you in swap, almost feel human
That's very sad Barb, Several years ago my great nephew and his girl friend were expecting twins and planning to marry. The babies were lost and they argued. He hung himself. His brother is still having a hard time over it. They were very close and less than a year apart in age. Brother seems to have bouts of depression and I worry about him. His grandmother, my sister is bi-polar and sometimes it seems like he might be too.
Mega worry..I worry about Noah, seems to talk about his suicidal tendencies far too much for my liking..god bless these poor souls.
The saddest part of all this is that it was his mother who found him. My heart just aches for her....
Finally got an eye appointment for Norm on next Monday. Sure hope it brings some answers. His vision is getting "fuzzy" at times so I'm getting worried about it. We shall see what is going on......
Oh Karen I would so like to be with Becca splashing in that puddle. What fun !!
Barb my heart aches for your neighbour. I worked with someone whose eldest son had a massive heart attack at 35 and they had to make the decision to take him off of life support. Not 3 mon later on Mother's Day she went to wake up her youngest son and found him dead. she kept coming into work saying she needed to be there. I understood what she was saying.
Did Norm not eat a lot of carrots when he was young?? lol If you did I was told I would have good eyesight. And if I ate the crusts off of the bread I would have curly hair.
Hope Betty is resting.......
Dianne
Well now I know why my hair is straight as a stick.
This is new drywall, Betty, and needs to be prepped with primer, otherwise I found that the glue from the wallpaper will sink into the drywall and the wallpaper will start to come away.
New drywall would be like paper covered cardboard and needs to be sealed before painting or wallpapering.
My hair is straight too Karen. Only the hairdresser's magic can change it.
My brother and sister were twins. My sis passed in 2005 and i sure miss her. They were born back in the day when boys kept their hair long until they were 3 or 4. I have a formal pic of them that shows their hair off - poor sis had hair like a horse's mane while my db had very curly hair. His hair was in long ringlets down to the middle of his back.
Glorious sunny day so far but it is cold. the sun is tricking us ... I had to come back and get a coat.
Dianne
Good morning,
Dianne I have the cold chilly morning here also.
Having coffee with all of you. My head is spinning and trying to stay settled is not working today.
I had a great day out with Nathan yesterday but sure was TOO COLD to be at the Falls taking pictures.
Where is Betty? I am worried. She had to go back for xrays.....wonder if they tossed her in the hospital???
DHs car is on the fritz so I am car-less today so he could get to work. Tonight he and DS are going to a concert together and both so excited. Brit Floyd....Spinoff of Pink Floyd/cover band from England I believe. Lazer show and all
Enjoy your day....hugs to all...
Extra Hugs Barb.....so sad about the neighbor.
Just got in from having X-rays, he said he would get results to my doctor as quick as he could, whatever that means..
Stopped and bought a better warm vaporizer to add Vicks to in hopes it helps, coughing jag going on so will be back in a bit
Happy you posted. Get to bed and wait the call. I do hope you are getting at least soup in you.
Yes, having soup mommy
Even moved into living room so I can open bedroom window and wash my bedding, rid myself of germs, nice out but chilly, hoping germs don't like cold lol
Don't make me put you in time out with that attitude miss! (hehehe)
Our doc wouldn't let us open windows...said brought in more trouble.
Don't know if that was old school or what.
I am worn out and all I did was get out of bed and walk the dog.
Could be a myth Dianne, just know grandma would let the germs out after we were all sick but likely does nothing
MOM...I am NOT Dianne...I am Debbie!!! (Ducking and running)
Run Debbie Run!!!! See Debbie Run!!!! And you know she can catch you!
Sorrrry, yep Debbie you are
Ok, listening well, put chicken noodle soup on the stove, you didn't tell me not fall asleep..Grrr woke up to a sizzling, well there goes that pot, on the good side, had a good nap
Oh Betty, Betty, Betty, you do worry us so. You could have had a fire.
Just out baking soda and boiling water to see if I can salvage it
Getting skimpy on pots/pans lol
I bought you a fire extinguisher for the kitchen. good heavens
She does this to get the firemen to come safe her.
I guess she needs to fill her allotment of eye candy!!!! Firemen will do that for you!
Morning everyone,
It's a sunshine day both outside and inside..had a good night, boughts of coughing but not all night, infact I got up at 8:30 imagine.
Yep, nothing wrong in seeing eye candy! Debbie sent me this sign, usually it's a reminder I'm not to burn anything and I've done well , so a little relapse is ok right Debbie?
Woke up in a sweat so thinking my fever broke, on the mend now..
Yesterday I stayed up all day, did nothing but today I think I will try to go downstairs and work a tad on some projects, first being the towel chair covers I'm doing for Darlene's 60th, sure hoping I can attend even for an hour tomorrow, not til 3
Have to be in Barrie at 9 to get supplies needed for the thread painting seminar I'm in next Saturday and am in need of groceries..thinking if I'm home from Barrie by noon I can nap for a few hours and I'd be ready for Darlene's party.
Did I tell you a week ago yesterday Ann's granddaughter had tonsils out? Operation went well but havoc with her vitals, after a week in hospital she is home for Easter.
Coffee time
Glad to hear you are feeling better, but don't over do it.
Love the sign!
Wow, sounds like Ann's Granddaughter went through some problems. Glad she is home now.
Poor Addy. Sending prayers that she is feeling so much better now.
Glad to hear you are feeling better too Betty. When this darn crud gets a hold on us it sure doesn't want to let go. Took me nearly three weeks to start to feel good. I still have ify days but not like before.
I have to tell you ladies that NOrm and I received a miracle today. He was looking at his medical portal at all the bills regarding his operation. The total hospital bill for his first stay in the hospital was over $112,000.00!!! Our balance to pay on the bill
is $00.00. Can you imagine that!!! I sat here and cried......
What news Barb, wonderful..can you imagine even having to pay 1/2 of it?
Yes is good news about Addy.. have to show you a photo of her warrior beads, she has one for every milestone and procedure, they had to start a second strand, poor little soul.
Worked an hour or so on the towel chair covers I need for tomorrow..will finish sewing on 2 pockets on each and done so I'm excited they are ready for Dar's do
Didn't overdo bought sniffling, coughing up a storm..on my way to bed
Barb, that is awesome.
Sweet dreams Betty.
Barb good things happen to good people !!! What a relief for you both
.We here in Ontario forget how much is paid by the health department. All I had to pay after all of Warren's hospital stays and treatments was $100.00 We pay to carry extra insurance so anything med wise that the province wouldn't pay our insurance covers. Twice Warren needed medication that wasn't covered under government policy but our private insurance did.
Susan your health care is covered by the government, isn't it?
Glad to read Betty you are getting back into the land of the living.
Didn't get to IGA yesterday so will go later today - my eyes were a little wonky so just came straight home from the vet's.
Poor little Duke ( all 75 lb of him - he's the light weight in the house) is still stressed from his journey to the vet's. He is just either sleeping or resting. He didn't eat his supper last night and didn't want biscuits this morning.
Sunny but cold out there.
I am about to attempt putting together from Wayfair. If you haven't heard from me by midnight send help. Just kidding Steve is coming to help me as it takes 2 people. I paid extra and had 2 men deliver and assemble the dining room table and chairs. it took 2 men 2 hours assemble it. Worth every cent of the extra fee.
Dianne and her TH
What are you putting together this time Dianne?
April the giraffe is having her baby.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dz_errIBq3Y
I am so sorry about the long space but DG will not let me in to edit it. Sorry.
Hurrah for April. I think a lot of people were ready to go to her and cheer her on.
Barb Steve I are putting together a desk. the 1 I have now is huge and heavy. I can't even get it out of the den door by myself. It was a throw out from Queen's University so a neighbour brought it home for me. The new one is smaller with more chrome than wood. Duke is quite put out right now as he can't get to his crate. Both he and Chaos often go in their crate just for quiet time. I looked a little while ago and both Duke and Chaos were in Chaos' crate.
Glorious day here. Hope everyone has the same.
dianne and her TH
Dianne, lucky you, torrential downpour here, miserable and same for tomorrow...groceries I bought are staying in the car until rain stops
Bet you are excited about new furniture, not as bulky as old right?
im with you, whenever you can pay extra it so worth it. Steve is handy guy to have around..you are lucky to have him available when you need him.
Lindakay, going to check out the link but not before I have a bath..just running inand out of the stores my clothes is damp so much change, just needed to sit a tad, almost fell asleep pushing grocery cart as I was tired on first outing.
By the time Ihave a bath, do my hair again and pack Darlene's gift it will be 3
Won't stay long but feel I have to go.
