Susan that is beautiful!!! It will be well loved and appreciated.

Betty, your blankets have been around me since Saturday every moment I am home.
I am just numb from the events. MIL did not have a peaceful passing....am sure she was called front for questioning. (sorry..bad humor)

DH is with "his family" and I am home cleaning and de-stressing with Elvis. Also Josh Groban Eagles wings. Love love that song.

Barb, I had that test...and although uncomfortable...I watched it all on the TV. Laying still after was the pain in the butt part. They told me they would put stints in while were in if needed. My prayers are with you and Norm.....give him big hug for me.

I have some ribs in the oven and roasting potatoes but was notified DH will probably stay and eat with "the family".

I think I need one of those tiny houses to move into.....me and my cats.

Wish you had one Debbie, you would be so at peace..glad you didn't venture out with Paul..some need a good talking to before entering those pearly gates Debbie..

Dad's birthday was Sunday..miss him, miss being called little girl and Sharon. Lol..wasn't he handsome

Not feeling the best today, had a few things needing done in town, knew you would be hungry after tending to and singing along with Elvis so picked up Chinese as I know you like it, my portion will have to sit there, nauseated..ugggg

Love the blues you used Susan, yep someone is going to love it.

Did they come and drywall today?

Just to tell you a bit of what I go through. He went with "his family" to the church, had meeting with Pastor...who is family friend also. And funeral home.
Told me at 2:00 he would be home when done with meeting.

3:30 I started preparing big meal....spareribs and roasted potatoes.
Got a text message at 4:30....his brother is making homemade pizza. He will
be home after he eats.

I threw ribs on stove and I am going to soak in a tub. If it wasn't for Shane...I would not even go to the service and shindig.

Betty, if you are still not feeling proper tomorrow....call doctor. I think you have just done TOO much with Buffalo visit last week and since returning home. You haven't stopped.

Susan I love the colour you used. I am sure it will greatly appreciated. Drywall up? Around here the boarders like to come as early in the am as possible. When we were building this house and still lived in the farm house I heard a vehicle go down the lane at about 10 to 5 am. With all the materials and tools on the house site we came down to check things out. By the time we got here they had their music blaring and were already at work. They said they like the cooler temp and the quietness.

((((Debbie)))) You make sure you take care of yourself within all of this. You are important and you are loved. You do have a family - us.

Sending positive thoughts and prayers for both Norm and you Barb.

Debbie I can't remember if you like Willie Nelson or not. As I was wandering around you tube last night I found Lukas Nelson - Willie's son singing Always on my mind. His voice has the pure sound that Willie did years ago.

Oh Betty your dad is 1 handsome dude.

Heavy rain warning for us overnight. If it hits we could have flooding in 1 of the areas on the lane. I'll go out early in the am and get what I think I'll need in case I am flooded in. A couple of years ago it flooded so badly people were using their canoe to go in and out.

Do any of you go to Bulk Barn? I stopped last week and it will be a long time before I go back. Everything was stale except some jujubes.

OK need to find something to eat.

*BIG HUGS* Debbie - Dianne's right - you DO have a loving family, US!! Music is always soothing to the soul. Glad you're able to bop to the beat - sure helps me when I'm stressed.
Barb - Prayers & hugs to you & Norm.

Drywall is done - looks like a real room now! Mudders/tapers are busy on another job, and we don't know when they'll be able to do our place, nor the cost. Anyway, it looks great to me! Door faces south, triple window face east, and the interior door is on the west side, where the rest is a blank wall. My piano, desk & record player tower will be on the same side as the interior door.
I'm getting so excited! I wish it were going to be done TOMORROW lol I feel like I'm AT the end of the tunnel! Bob showed me his outline of where my wall-mounted sewing table will go.

Love the blanket Susan.

Dianne, they are early with the music going.

Hugs to Norm & Barb Thurs. When I had my first heart attack, the thing I remember most about the Catheterization was as soon as the stent was in place the pain stopped. I sighed a bit & Dr. laughed that he guessed it was in the right place.

Verona, ON

LK the only thing that the music would disturb would be the critters and bugs - beaver, otters, porcupines, deer, skeeters like jumbo jets .........

Karen my dad said the same thing - once the stent was in his place his pain stopped.

Happy St David's Day everyone.

Thank you all so much for all the kind thoughts and prayers. Norm is so nervous now that we have a plan. I think he was better off when he was just upset about not knowing. I think getting a prescription for nitro is what is scaring him. Especially since the doctor hadn't said anything about it - just prescribed it. It will be over tomorrow and we will know what the problems are and what to do about them. I will kill him with kindness and give him lightweight errands to do today about things I "need". That will keep him busy.
Sending my prayers to you Debbie. You are caught between a rock and a hard place with all this and my heart is with you. I keep gazing at my photos and wishing I were there with you......

Morning all,
Fog is just lifting, calling for heavy rains, hope it's over by this afternoon as I must drive to Toronto to see Caleb in his play tonight.m thought Greg and Mel could go but can't..will see if I can get someone to go with me..will check on Kyle.

Barb hS norm not been working of late?? Keeping him busy is a good thing, can't blame him from worrying though..you both will be in my thoughts tomorrow.

Debbie, there are no words..thoughtless people
Hope you were able to relax and have a good nights rest...when is the funeral??

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

I've been prescribed nitro several times, been given it in the ambulance too. It's an If-Then kind of thing. If he has pain Then use the nitro. Most likely he won't need it but if he does it's there.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

it's great that there are people here who know something of what Norm is going through, like Betty, I'm clueless about these things. Keeping Norm busy is a good thing though.
*Hugs* Barb.

Didn't sleep well, and dealing with pain. Physio this morning. Brain's not working well.

Lyndonville, NY

Barb I am thinking of you and Norm and there with you. Be safe and rest when you can.

Visitation is 2 to 4....and 7 to 9:00 Tomorrow. Funerals is at 2;00 Friday as another church member is at 11:00.

We have high winds and expecting snow. Temps in 20s....dont see how they can do burial but will.

Hugs to all
Debbie

(((Barb and Norm))) sending you positive thoughts and prayers.Agree with Debbie Barb - you make sure you take care of yourself and not over do it - then you will be able to give your guy all the care and spoiling you want.

Power on/off all evening. Wind is just howling. Of course everytime the power comes back on everything has to buzz. Poor Duke is just beside himself.

Long day ahead of you Debbie. Holding you close to my heart. Remember when the drama gets too much we your family are right here. We have your six.

LK how are you feeling ?

Stay safe and warm everyone.

I am doing OK. I have bad sinus pressure on my teeth, in my upper teeth on my left side. I have taken meds, and heat packs to no relief. I see the Dr. this morning, hoping to get some meds to help get some relief.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning all..

Thought prayers with Barb, norm and Debbie as well..
Still laying in bed, had a lovely meal out yesterday, excited about the play until the drama teacher gave us a synopsis , 1 hr 45 minutes, 15 minute break then 1 hr 45 minutes, yikes..play was wonderful, very heavy..by the time we said our goodbyes and Greg drove to Barrie where Mel and I had left my car and I fought a blizzard to get home it was 1:30 before I snuggles in bed..not a wonder I'm tired..drive was NOT fin. Greg wanted me to leave my car then drive in with him a 6am...glad I didn't.

Just heard plow, will check in later for updates on norm and Debbie's day
