Oh Betty maybe I should share my bubble wrap with you. Please tell me all these falls is not because we are growing older but that things just happen to get in our way.
Cold enough for a fire but I just put socks and long pants on.
Our niece and her beau are coming for a visit this week. Levy is on a gluten free diet. Any suggestions about what I should make for dinner ? I know I could go online and find dozens of things to prepare but I would like some tried and true recipes. They are both in their 50's and never been married. so it is a big deal that Stephanie wants me to meet Levy. She was quick to remind me I am the only Mrs. Mott left lol I am... just never think about it.
Happy to see Susan that you got the $$$s. That is 1 less worry you have to carry.
Feel like I am getting bronchitis..... darn haven't had it in ages. Used to get it several times a year when I was younger.
Sun is shining now... maybe the TH and I will go out to play for a bit.
Later

Linda just dropped in with more Christmas mugs for the Christmas mug rugs I've made, now to buy Tim Hortons gift cards and chocolates for the cups, always nice to have these little gifts on hand should someone drop in.
She has so much trouble with her knees and back, took all she could to come up the back deck stairs, had to laugh, I can barely move even though I've taken pain meds, what a pair all hunched over doing ohhh's and ahh's
Back laying down and Missy is doing same, both have a lazy on
Oh Dianne, I keep telling my mom she is not watching what she is doing, has to realize she is aging and not as steady on her legs as she once was..Lordy am talking about myself I see..comes with age I guess, guess we have to be grateful we've reached the age we are vs the alternative
Won't that be a treat for you, having Stephanie and Levy visit..not sure on what kind of meal you can serve, maybe someone on the thread has some suggestions..I never cook special for Melanie because more often than not pays the price for not keeping to her diet.
Sure hope you will not be ill during their visit.
Cool here as well, furnace is on
Betty .. you're our next 'bubble wrap beauty' .. sure scares the bejeebers out of you when that happens ..
I told y'all about me perching my tush on a big tote in the garage last January .. never thinking the plastic would be BRITTLE because of the cold .. wango ..went right through the lid .. Lorna about fainted when she turned around and saw me caved in to the point I couldn't move .. she had to dump over the tote and dump me out lol ..
Just hope you're ok tomorrow Betty ..
TGiving dinner is over and cleaned up, another pumpkin pie in the oven for DH and DS to have while I'm away ..
DS spends ALL holidays with his in laws .. I usually invite a nurse bud who is basically alone .. and, as well this year .. the hubby of one of my Hospice clients that passed away .. their kids are away at university not slated to come home til Dec.
Eclectic group .. but, fun ..
2 more sleeps, Lorna is packed and I am thinking about it LoL
Betty we are going to make sure we make every effort to drive your way and meet, even at a Tims for coffee .. saying Tims just because it's got no steps :-)
Will send you my cell # (texts too) .. thinking perhaps Oct. 16/17 ?
Maybe even half way ..it would be such a thrill to meet :-)
Offn shuffling

Awww Betty, keep your self on the couch. I know it's frustrating to just sit but better than getting hurt.
I'm comfy, in bed, best place for me Karen
16th would be great, would you still be in Orangeville? I could come your way
You pack like I do "M" last minute
I caved... I put the furnace on. Mid 50's here in the house. Still have my socks on though.
Karen how are you feeling tonight ? Are you still taking broth everyday ?
Oh M you and Lorna must be getting excited. When is the last time Lorna saw her DB? Safe travels.
Dianne and her TH
I'm back to eating fairly normally. Pancreas pain is gone. I don't have much appetite, so am still losing slowly.
I should be getting call from Dr tomorrow, he has been on vacation but office has said they put me on priority.
Glad they are rushing you in Karen and also that the pain has subsided..is tomorrow not a holiday do you?
Dianne furnace on here, like to keep it around 72
Are you burning wood to keep you warm?
Monday is a holiday, he may not be there.
How do you all celebrate Columbus Day?
Morning ..
Went to bed at 6:30pm last evening, I had done WAY too much ..
Lorna hasn't seen Grant in 11 years ! They speak almost weekly, but Grant is a man of few words .. Lorna, in her own way, is also quiet and soft spoken ..
Our furnace is set for 67, it comes on about every half hour or so ..
SOX ??!!! Vut r day LoL ... I may have to actually WEAR sox on this trip .. I am a barefoot Mama ..
Karen, sure do hope you can see your doc today .. is Columbus Day kind of a low key holiday ..?
Betty .. we could even meet half way .. we leave Orangeville for Richmond Hill on the 15th .. I'm sure once Lorna gets her bearings back for southern Ontario driving, she'll be good to go ..
Waiting for everyone to get up so I can start making some noise :-)

Why wait M ? When W and I were first together he would sleep in till almost noon.I resorted to start cooking bacon to get him up. He couldn't resist the smell of cooking bacon.
M I too as well as our Debbie are barefoot gals. I even go out in the snow in my bare feet to take out the garbage. I swear when I was going through menopause there was steam coming off of my feet when I stood in the snow.
Feel like a lazy day. The TH is not really interested in going out for a walk so might wait until afternoon to have our big walk.
Later,
Dianne and her TH
Morning all,
Happy Thanksgiving to my Canadian friends and same to you all in USA a happy Columbus Day.
Sun is shinning but it's a cold one, yikes, 67 I'd be freezing, I do like my heat..when mom comes I have to set it at 76, now that is a tad too hot.
Will you be coming down Hwy 69/400 corridor?
Just got up, best I drink my coffee and see what the day brings
Basically here, Columbus is a bank and post office holiday. My Dr. will be business as usual. It will depend on how backed up he is after time off. He's the busiest Dr. I've ever seen, but I think mostly because he is so hands on. He makes all his own patient calls sometimes until late into the evening. I know he starts early he's at the hospital at 6-6:30 every morning.
Betty don't be over doing, bet you are finding a few new sore spots from your fall.
Happy Thanksgiving to all in Canada.

According to Lorna .. yes we will most likely be coming along that way .. 69/400 .. as fate would have it, our maps are outside in the glove compartment .. CAA did us up a TripTik/map .. as well we have a Garmin GPS thing where they tell you step by step where you are, mind you, it's 5 years old .. DH calls it the 'Bi*#h in the Box' LoL .. when she starts saying RECALIBRATE he flips LoL
Dianne, my wee herd is hell bent on eradicating the woodpecker (s) from the birdfeeders .. they are BANDITS those birds ..
Everyone is up, breakfast is done, and, I guess I'll start packing .. for some reason my heart just isn't in it, but, I'll get over it ..

You don't get many o those hands on doctors anymore Karen, lucky you. That being said there is a doctor in town who is much the same but one could never get n his patient list for numbers he already doctors.
Behind and side hurts like hell but if that is all that resulted in my fall then I'm thrilled.
"M", your new car should come with onstar? Just push the button and they will give you step by step directions.

M - a warning for the B***ch in the Box. You may have to plug her into the internet or computer to update her maps. We had to do that on last trip to Ohio as so much route changes and construction changed. Was fairly easy to do.
My car has "navigator" and just put in the address and hit go" and it does. Did great getting me to Betty.
BESSIE LOU! YOU fell again? Woman!!!!
Well, I have something to show you. I have to get it loaded on here first.
BUT yesterday went to the craft show and Letchworth State Park. I wore that "dang watch" as you say.....and I did OVER 10,000 steps! (Fitbit) I even took a picture of it to show you but its not loaded on the computer yet. lol
Craft show had some really nice things, but nothing caught my eye.....except the apple strudel and also some pretzels dipped in chocolate and drizzled with caramel. Oh, dangerous and good! I haven't had the strudel yet. DH bought a bottle of fresh made horseradish also.
A few fall pics for you.
Holy wah Debbie, love the scenery..you must remind me when that craft show is on and I'll come over...do you think I might have found something to bring home and if so what would it be?
Congratulations on the steps, did you feel you were doing that many more than we did? Wearing a big smile here.
Just finished painting the wood component box for kids costume, if I wasn't going to Greg's for supper likely I'd be finished .. Did get the glasses painted, tonight I will put a few coats of finish on them and they are ready to give to joanne.
So tempted to have a little nap but ,fighting the urge.
Beautiful pictures Debbie. Wish we had trees that turned colors here. That is the only thing I miss from Michigan. I don't miss the snow.
There were many things you would have liked and to buy for pattern to do your own. Loved a quilted wreath they had...could see your added touch to it.
Yes I felt each and every step, more so today! Says I did a little over two miles.
It is every Columbus weekend. It is a drive from me, about 1 hr. 45 minutes from my house. And the scenery is throughout the park of course. We drove over 12 miles from one end to other going to the overlooks and sites with the waterfalls. WIll post more on my FB when I can. Did not take pics at the craft show as it was jam packed, worse than what we saw or even Hamburg.
Gorgeous pics Debbie .. actually I think the scenery will be the highlight of our trip east.
So .. do you like your 'Fitbit' was thinking of getting one for Lorna for Xmas .. DS has one and he loves it ..
Well Betty ..our 'Betty Bags' are stuffed full as well as 2 suitcases a bath bench and a walker and numerous sundry items .. packed tonight as rain is on tap for tomorrow .. didn't want to travel with a screwy hairdo because I got rained on LoL
Hitting the rack early .. may or may not write in the morning, but will off n on during the trip ..
HUGS
~M~
Safe travels "M".
Safe travels "M"
Make sure you've a camera with you..
Just got back from Greg's
He did a roast and cheese rolls in his wood burning pizza oven, mighty tasty.
Tired tonight so heading to bed
Up and getting towards 'at'em' ..
It's 58F here .. uncanny .. was almost a high of 80 yesterday .. the WL are in fine form, was to have woken to rain storms, here's hoping they are WAY off te mark.
We both have enough electronic gadgetry to take many pics :-)
Debbie..re the"B"in the Box .. there is nothing that would allow me to hook it up to a puter .. turned it upside down and backwards looking for something, but, nope ..
EVERYONE stay safe and warm til I get back and beyond ..
Feel kind of like a deserter leaving DS in such a state with DGD .. I think I mentioned she is gone once again, and, took with her several items of jewellery from her mothers jewellery box :-( !! I so hope she didn't stoop so low as to sell my Mom's rings that I gave her on her 13th bday .. guess time will tell ..
Off to grab some toast ..

Safe travels "M"
Am sure your son would feel extra stress if you decided to stay home...
Praying she didn't take family heirlooms but at this point tsp he isn't thinking clearly.
Will you not have capability of posting?
Achy today, if it wasn't to get garbage to roadside and girls coming think I'd just stay in bed
Safe travels M and Lorna !
Safe trip "M"and Lorna. Hope it is wonderful for you both.....
Safe travels, have a wonderful time.
Great job Betty.
We are in Sault Ste Marie 👍
Had a great trip down the colours are awesome!
Took us 8 hours of travelling, same tomorrow
Kinda tired, time to eat ..
Might. bbl
M
Great room "M". Lorna should be okay there. Get a night's rest and safe travels tomorrow...
Perfect day for traveling M. Looks like no rain until Sun. So glad the room is handicap accessible.
Tomorrow night our friend and his partner will pick me up and we will go into Ktown. Mandarian Chinese food restaurant opened here. If it is 1/2 as good as the 1 we used to order from in TO the food will be exceptional.
Betty how are you doing today ?
Barb is was so good to see you post. Feeling good ?
Karen did you get to see your doc today?
Lots of activity in the woods after dark. Spooks the TH big time.
Will try to get BBL
Dianne and her TH
Evening,
So nice to see you made it as far as the Sault "M"
Never occurred to me that some hotels/motels would have accommodations suitable for handicap..beautiful room..where do you think 8 hrs will get you to?
Barb, know you were going to do some Xmas mug rugs..did I lead you astray and they didn't turn out?
Dianne, Mandarin in Barrie has the greatest food,am sure they all have to be at that level..sure gets dark early right?
Wonder how Karen made out at the doctors
Susan, you and Bob still in construction mode?
Aunt Muriel and Don came to visit this afternoon
She washed all the flannel she bought in Buffalo and brought it to me to see what I could do with it, said no hurry but she mentioned Christmas a few times lol
Before supper I cut 34 blocks, x'd them and sat and cut fringe tonight.
Achy so goin go take a hot bath, tylenol 3 then bed.
It is pitch dark by about 5:30 - 6:00 now. Once the snow comes it helps lighten up the outside.
The TH are just going bonkers tonight - there is a lot of action in the woods. I can hear it. It is bad enough I am thinking about giving them all 1 of Duke's Elavil. That way I might get some sleep. They lay around all day resting or sleeping - just doesn't sound fair that they keep me up night and they sleep most of the day.No, it really doesn't bother me... it is probably because I am such a bad sleeper at the best of times. My sweet dad, my sister and my brother were like me - not able to sleep well. My sister's 2 boys are just opposite of each other - 1 sleeps through everything - literally a tree came down and ripped through the roof landing by Dave's bed. He didn't wake up.Tom is like me - rarely sleeps longer than 2 hours at a time.
Deb how are your knees doing? Do you have all your dogs home now?
LK how is Dylan doing now?
The TH just had last call so will let them up on the bed now.
Safe travels tomorrow M
Dianne and her TH
