Well Dianne, I too have difficulties sleeping through the night, been watching tv for an hour, sandman mustn't have my name on his list, tempted to get up and then have an afternoon nap.

Maybe you should wake the Th when they drift off to la la land during the day then maybe they would sleep during the night.

I got up and decided to cut some of the flannel aunt Muriel brought yesterday afternoon..got all (54) ofthe floral sewn and ragged..couple more sleepless nights and I will have her rag quilt done lol

Sun is shinning here, not much on my agenda other than working on Greg/Jeff's costumes

Rita called last night to say she was bringing me supper so lunch is looked after with thanksgiving left overs and now supper so it's a no cook day but mega eats.

It's Joanne's birthday today, glad I got the fall wine glasses done, now in birthday bag and hoping in her travels today she drops in.

Betty I see Chaos has a partner in crime. He is the nosiest dog I have ever had.

Oh I do wake them up several times during the day with my motto "If I'm up everyone is up!" The fact I give them 2 hard runs/walks before 10 am has to be factored in.By the time we get back to the house after the second run all 3 of them are dragging. Me not so much because for every step I take the must take 4 or 5.I've started to rest their winter mode of walking. I won't let them near the lake until it is frozen solid. Petrified they might fall through the ice. That won't be until Dec or until I make the call it is safe.
Managed to get 4 hours of a deep sleep last night ....well this morning.Fell asleep about 4 am. Feel good.

Just made an a** of myself checking out my docs' appointments. I had the eye guy (Optom)down for both Oct and Nov.,plus Doc's for my teeth and the retesting for the Lymes with the TH.Called the eye guy and just to add into the midst 2 appointments with the Neuro Optha surgeon and the vet's. Started with the Optical doc (sp?) got that cleared up, went to write it down and Diesel grabbed the sheet I wrote on and ate it. Very sheepishly I called back... I can still hear the sect. laughing. Now I am all set. I have all my appointments sorted out. Diesel and Duke get their blood test tomorrow and I get to go out for Chinese food tonight. Woo hoo !!

Hoping everyone is having the gorgeous weather I am having. It is heaven out there for me and the TH - great temp, no bugs. Lots of leaves for Chaos to frolic in.Pretty sure M and Lorna are having great driving weather.

I called this morning got different receptionist. She was rather short with me. Basically told me he was busy and would get to me when he had time. I know that's not how he is, but really feeling low. Getting tempted to go to ER

Oh Karen a nasty attitude is the last thing you need to cope with. If you do go to ER will they call your own Doc as a consultant? Can you call back and ask to speak to the first receptionist you talked to previously? Sending hugs and positive thoughts your way.

yes, Bob's still in construction mode, but he's pinched a nerve in his hip and not walking well. Going to a chiropractor in Red Deer tomorrow. Lovely weather today, but cannot do anything today, unfortunately.

Just got a call from the Dr with a date for my right knee surgery - Jan 13th. I go for a class on Dec 16th beforehand, and another app't Oct 20th to see a couple of Drs
Now, to get some of my teeth work done, ahead of time.......

His body is telling him to rest..glad you have a date for surgery..don't envy you your time at entitled office though..good luck

Betty - don't you just LOVE spell check? Even better is voice recognition. When I get voice mail on my cell phone, I also get a text message, and some of it is hilarious!!

Tired tonight, worked on 3 projects today...little here,little there..
Hoping by weekend costumes, snowman quilt and aunt Muriel's rag quilt will be done' now let's see how close I will get to being finished,

So by about 1 today hubby took me to the ER. I was poked & prodded repeatedly until nearly 6. Verdict???? Not a darn thing wrong with me that they could find. ER Dr. did consult with my Dr. said he will be calling me to come to his office. I'm just totally puzzled. My hemoglobin count is still good. heart, liver and whatever else i still have are all fine. I'm still exhausted and out of breath so who knows. I told the Dr. as my grandmother used to say, " I'm just triffling".

That is good news Karen the part where all tests were good but then annoying that you know something is wrong and they can't find it..could it be sheer exhaustion, these past few months you have pushed yourself and so maybe it's catching up??

Karen - it may be that you ARE just exhausted. I know you love to do these things, but really - you need some more "you" time.... like napping, etc.

Hope my Canadian friends had a great Thanksgiving. We went to our friends / neighbours Pat & Glenn & took dinner. So they provided the organized place and we provided the food. We had a lovely time spending the evening.
All our building supplies are now here, but Bob's hurt his hip - guess he pinched a nerve. He's going to the Chiropractor tomorrow morning. He wasn't able to walk easily today, let alone do anything on our home.
We also have to get our piano & shed over to our property.......

Trip wise all was well til yesterday.
We hit Barrie at rush hour, 4:30pm, Betty can attest to the thousands of vehicles speeding along the 40o !!
We got stopped for close to 90 minutes, all tolled by rad construction around Parry Sound.
Literally miles of cars backed up, once we had navigated that nightmare, we got into Orangeville and into hotel #1 A dive, was sitting in a chair when 2 spiders appeared, I freaked! Poor Lorna.
I looked at the room " no tell motel" the smell of sprayed over cigarette smoke was nauseating, re packed the car and headed for the Best Western
Lorna is having issues with handicap accessibilty, she is totally heart broken that hotels seem to have no regard for the disabled. Makes me feel totally crummy!

Today is a new day, here's hoping seeing her parents will cheer her up.

You were so close to me, would have driven to Barrie and had coffee with you..you will have to let me know what your plans are next. Should be a regulation that it's a must that hotels have a few handicap rooms

Sitting quietly putting rag quilts blocks together, soon going to head downstairs and finish off the Christmas quilt..my 'today" goal, girls come tonight, we are all thinking Christmas gifts or adding to our decor..LINDA picked up I think it's 16 more Xmas mugs (new) for 25 cents..am sure we will put them to good use.

-M- I have been stuck in the Barrie traffic, and also same in Toronto....I understand.
Betty helped me navigate my time better to avoid all and I did.

Yesterday was a beautiful day here, and sadly I slept most of it away. Have been battling sinus headache and it hit hard yesterday about 4:00. Fell asleep at 5:30 and slept til 8:30....into bed at 10:00!!! Got up at 9:00 this morning.....I think all this weather change has gotten to me.

Betty costumes look great! The boys will love them. Showed DS your other costumes in progress he loved it.

Oh M could you just imagine driving in that traffic congestion every day ?
When we moved down here the school staff in Kingston was shocked we would drive all that way from Verona. It took us about 25 min. Warren tried to explain he was only 17 mi from his school in TO and it took him over an hour to get there.

Waiting for my company. They were going on the 1000 island tour but it has poured on/off all day. They are bringing Swiss Chalet. I warned them about the TH so it is their problem if the boys bother them. They do not have any pets and Steph is the type who thinks she knows all on how to discipline dogs. Two rules in my house...do not let the TH outside without me or their leash plus don't try to think you can make my boys do what you want. Yes they are jumpers get used to it.

Excellent meal at the Manadarin last night. I have only had take out in TO. We grazed through the wonderful dishes. I even had a piece of rare prime rib. Amazing service, excellent food and wonderful company. I forget sometimes that I converse only with the TH. I don't even sit to eat. Frank slipped out and paid the bill but we still got the Seniors' discount. Fantastic treat for me!!

Judy how cute were you and Steve on your wedding day. Yesterday I was cleaning up a shelf and took your sleigh out and put in the kitchen. I love it so ..... especially knowing you made it with love.

Had my eye exam this morning and I am getting bifocals back. Love the frame. I saw a funky frame that was shades of pink and purple but I didn't like the size of lens. Settled with a frame half way between the funky one and what I have now. He is concerned about the cataract in my right eye but said he would send a note to my Neuro Opthma doc who I see in Dec.

M I hope you and Lorna have a better day today. I must say I am shocked that you are finding it hard to find a motel/hotel that will take into consideration Lorna's needs. I know some of the older motels don't just because of their age.They can have restricted rooms for smokers but not handicap needs. Shame on those big hotel/motel chains.

Betty, you and I will have to touch base this week about Santa Warren's exchange. I think we should do what we did last year where you kept it up to date in your first post of each thread. If you want to participate let us know.

Betty, what about by November 1st. Lots of things coming up I can get a gift at or start to make. That way we can send out by Thanksgiving or so. If you think need longer time that is fine also.

I was all gung ho about being in the Santa Warren Christmas exchange, but now that we haven't gotten as much done here as I'd expected, I'm afraid I won't be able to take part this year. No addition completed = no sewing room or machine up.
Hope to do this next Christmas though, cuz it's so much FUN!!
I'll watch and see what others are giving/getting - I really love to see the joy on your faces when you receive, and think about how Warren SO enjoyed it too :-)

Good morning Well today is Wedding Day lots to accomplish by 3pm when we leave for the Millcroft Inn
We drove there yesterday to scope it out .. just beautiful, BUT .. ONE handicap parking spot .. both the brides Dad, and the grooms and Lorna are handicapped, Lorna is a bit worried, but, as we are discovering, we just make do .. we can become very resourceful.

One handicap spot? That's ridiculous, I would speak to management. seems a venue like that should have a minimum of 5.

I would think that they could put up a temporary "handicapped parking only" sign for a few more spots. I've seen other locations do this.
I agree though - one spot is definitely ridiculous!!

Aunt Muriel said she would drop in this afternoon to pick up her blanket, hmmm afternoon is almost over. Was thinking of going to midland to pick up a few things then pick up Chinese but I'm thinking as I have to go tomorrow morning to get snow tires on I might as well wait..or I can go next door to restaurant and pick up something..we will see

Sitting quietly sewing binding, another hour and I can pack yet another project away..should pick up a tote seeing I'm going to Canadian tire for cylicone to start the cement bench.

I've got the munchies, best I go find something to munch on
