Glad to hear you will meet up with Betty. Give her hugs.
I went to the Dr for my allergy shots, after she took my blood pressure and oxygen levels, she told me I had to wait and see the Dr. Blood pressure was 140/98. She gave me some pills and I had to lay there an hour. Then told me no more allergy shots for at least 2 weeks. I have a severe sinus and upper respiratory infection. I am on antibiotics and albuterol inhaler.

Is there a reason they did not put you on predisone to get the infection out quickly LK? That usually knocks out whatever is trying to lodge in the lungs...
I think all the antihistamine could raise heck with your blood pressure too.
She never mentioned prednisone.
Linda Kay I go Thursday and have a feeling will be facing the same.
Wants me to have a few more blood tests on the immune system and shots to boost it again. Last time I swear my arm hurt for 3 weeks. Not being a big baby....as shots don't bother me. But was worse than a tetanus shot!
We have the high winds here also.
Sorry you are going through all that Debbie.
I have to wait till follow up, to see if I have to go on blood pressure meds.
My sides are sore from laughing at Chaos. He has spent the last 30 min chasing leaves. There is quite a wind so the leaves fall and then swirl around. I hope to get a pile of leaves raked up tomorrow so Chaos or Diesel can hide in the pile and jump out to scare the other 2.
I got Betty's storm and it was a doozy. The house shook it was so close. It was so bad that Duke went and hid in his crate. His crate is isolated but I think he likes that. Didn't lose hydro but our satellite dish conked out.
Duke had a complete melt down Thurs. night with a carry over to Fri. I had warned our niece not to come on strong with Duke but she didn't listen. She has never had a pet of her own ... well except for a rat when she was about 13. Duke backed Steph into a wall and barked and growled for a good 10 min. It was great to meet Steph's fiance. They have known each other for over 30 years.
When I took Diesel and Duke to get their Lyme's blood test Duke just had another meltdown. No blood test for him but Diesel was a champ and blood was taken.Waiting for the results to come back from Ottawa. From the cost they must be hand delivering it. Not !!
LK and Debbie I sure hope they can get your allergies under control. I can remember 2 tests that I had where they blocked off squares on my back and they tested each square for different allergies.
M I am so glad that you and Lorna are staying at Rama for the night. Hope you get to meet up with our Betty.
Sky is looking quite ominous so I had better get the TH fed and outside before it starts to pour again.
D and her TH
You certainly have your hands full with the TH Diane.I know I could not handle them.
Just wish people would listen when told things....
Got the sewing room cleaned up today. Worked on getting a good picture of Jake to print on fabric. Thought I might do that as a gift. Worked on the preemie hats for a while. I don't mind doing them but sometimes it is depressing because they are for babies who won't make it. The nurses wrap them in white and I make the tiny hats for them so they look complete and whole for the parents as they hold them. It is so sad....
"M" thrilled we will meet up, now what are you thinking, before Rama, at Rama, my place?? Can give you and Lorna a hug on behalf of all..let me know soon ok
Dianne, I can just see Chao's having the time of his life, he will miss playing our when the white stuff comes, but then I think I recall they enjoy the pier time in the snow..yep, that storm was a humdinger, when the thunder cracked you had the feeling it hit the house.
Debbie, so many tests, you must feel like a pincushion. Here is hoping they soon will find out the main reason you've been so ill..ahhhh listened to you, have an appointment at the doc Nov 10th
LindaKay have you not been on blood pressure meds before? Don't think I've ever had prednisone, sounds like a painful needle, worth asking doc though if it might help you seeing as barb says they give it to her when she has difficulty breathing
Barb I'm with you, very difficult indeed doing these little caps knowing what they will be used for.
Susan did Bob get help today?
Just got back from town, do they in your region when you get new tires you have to go back and have the bolts retighten after 50 kl? Got that done then did a few errands now it's Kentucky fried chicken time.. not overly hungry so might wait till later to eat.
Have a few options, can take a bath, sit and watch tv (addicted to CNN) or go downstairs and work on a project..what to do, what to do?
Allergy tests - not much fun from the sounds of it....
Dianne - That TH of yours, I know I couldn't handle them, but they seem to be keeping you active and young - bless their great big humongous paws!
Betty - take that bath, then sit & watch tv - my choice!!! I would knit while watching too lol
Bob's helper from yesterday - we never heard from him, even though I messaged him and we both called him. Guess he wasn't that interested in working after all.
I've posted (and so has a friend of ours) looking for a labourer - we'll have to see what comes of the 2 of us posting.
Betty I saw on CITY there was a confirmed tornado in Stayner and perhaps another in Collingwood. That is yet to be confirmed but the photos sure show a lot of damage.
Susan we have that problem here with people not showing up for work after the first day. Years ago (many, many years) there were 2 brothers who were the absolute best at their trade but they had a drinking problem. If you wanted them to work you basically had to hold them prisoner after you helped them dry out.
Oh Barb I understand what you are saying about the tiny hats but just think how much comfort you are giving those parents in such a heartbreaking time.
Chaos is begging at the door to go out. He can see the leaves swirling around.
Dianne and her TH
Betty, how bout at Rama..we can't check in til 3 - 4pm
Is there anywhere for coffee or lunch
We will go to Lorna's folks Thursday morning and say bye, should be outta. There before 11am
We'll figure it out. :-)
Strange - this thread came up as having a new post, but not in my watched thread.
It would be great if you two could meet up :-D
Prednisone comes in pill form too. Not always a shot.
I have only had prednisone in pill form - never as a shot. But it helps my breathing greatly by drying up whatever is causing the problem. My doctor is considering putting me on a daily very low dose so try to stop crap from forming at all. Haven't decided yet if I like that idea or not. But there is no doubt in my mind about how well it works when I do take it.
Morning all, sunshine day in my neighborhood
Been quilting since 5:30am..want that quilt behind me..hoping I can call Lorraine and tell her it's finished on Saturday.
Need a coffee and toast
Must be back to normal because my appetite is back
"M" Rama is a tad more than an hour away, a can do, but you will be passing Barrie mid afternoon, might be easier to meet there??
Prednisone comes in many forms, injection, pill, cream, inhaler etc
Betty, where in Barrie?
Lorna isn't familiar with it. Just that there is lots of traffic in the area.
Off n running
M
You would get off at Bayfield, make a left at the lights then you could take either the 1st light, brings you into Canadian tire parking lot but straight ahead is Applebee's at 326 Bayfield..Juana right on and right off 400
You would just have to tell me what time, takes me about 35 minutes to get there
If you feel Rama is better then we could do it
Just back here .. To the room
Lasagna luncheon at Lorna's parents
Am thinking Rama would be best, that way we don't have to figure out how to get back on track after Barrie.
We have packed our 2 big suitcases and, we will 'live out of Betty's bag 😊 On the way back home.
We will shoot for 1 - 1:30 if that's ok?
Rama has several restaurants
My cell is 807-620-8882
BTW ..DGD is in hospital, very bad kidney infection 😕
M
Sending prayers for your granddaughter.
Prayer's for your DGD - that's a nasty thing to have........ hope it gets cleared up easily and fast.
Sending my prayers too "M" for your DGD. Hope she heals quickly....
Betty, can we have a new thread please?
Will do first thing in the morning Lindakay
New room everyone.
