Glad to hear it is healing good Betty.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Was indeed good news..

He made sure I knew how dangerous it could have been, that I'm not to be silly and wait anymore...grrrr so wanted to say something re all my hospitalizations and how ill I was

Oops company is here, gab in a bit

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Andy just called, Dylan has to stay in the hospital till at least Wed. Dr's. are going to do a colonoscopy and an upper scope tomorrow. They think he may have celiac disease. Will know more in a day or so.

Lyndonville, NY

Betty, I have to go Friday for some scans. Have started a new medication also.
Will know more on adventure after those.

Also, have some of your boxes still here. If you do come up.....should I meet you with boxes this weekend?

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

10 years.........? omgoodness, but yeah, guess it's been that long.
and another one I cannot take part in - no funds!
No, the City hasn't released any funds yet - they will, in one lump sum, when all contractors (& us) have done our jobs. Got an email from City today, knowing we've done all we could. Zack Did Not remove the stove on Friday as he said, so I told him the City will remove it at our cost. He's scurrying now. Started to get rude with me (swore at me when I said the stove would get ruined in the rain - it rained here, but not in Calgary apparently, 1 hr away). I told him the City would remove it if he didn't. Anyway - 5 days after cleared lot, we get our funds. Hoping next Mon/Tues, and we pick up the cheque in Calgary to save postal time.

LOL BETTY!!!!!!!! (and they called HER the Streak!!)
I would have mentioned the 5/6 times I was checked out in the hospital if it were me..... not his fault, no, but he would mention it at one of their meetings, to make sure this didn't happen to someone else!! Just as I did, in March, when the Chiropractor said my ribs were out, and I was having heart attacks....... I told the Chiropractic Board, so this didn't happen to anyone else!! According to the hospital, I could have died in the Chiropractor's office. I didn't, thankfully, but don't want this to happen to anyone else.

My Daughter in law posted this an hour ago.

We need thoughts and prayers for Dylan. Tomorrow Dylan will go under anesthesia. He will be having a colonoscopy and endoscopy with several biopsies. His symptoms fit Celiac Disease and Crohn's and Ulcerative Colitis. We should know by Wednesday what is going on. They're letting him drink some clear liquids until midnight tonight and then he'll be NPO until after his procedure. He has lost close to 10lbs in a short period of time and they will be discussing tomorrow to see if we need to place a PICC line and start him on TPN, basically IV food.

Please keep our little man in your thoughts.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Prayers coming Dylan's way
Hugs for you Lindakay
Will you go to st Antonio?

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I might, depends on what they find out in the morning after the test.

Oh LK positive thoughts and prayers on their way to Dylan. One of my nephews was celiac and it was quite difficult for my sis to feed him properly. But mind you this was in the early 60's and food options were not fully developed as they are now.

Diesel had his sutures out today so he was able to have a swim as soon as we got home. He walked into the water and got that look "Oh I feel so good right now" I got a copy of his report. It is full of long medical terms which will take me quite awhile to look up. But it states there is no cancer and these type of growths rarely grow back and are often associated with the growth of big dogs. When I asked for a copy of his report the vet tech was sorta of fumbling for words. She said I was 1 of a very few who asks for a report copy. If I pay $176.50 for a person to look at the tumour I want a copy of that report.

Over 80* today again and muggy. I saw on a TO station that of the 19 days so far this month 17 days have been over 80. Maybe we won't have an Indian Summer.
I can't remember if I told you about the blueberry scones I got in Picton. I only bought 2 and if I had known how good they were I would have bought more.

Oh Betty I laughed and laughed at you flashing the neighbours. I did that in Meaford 1 year. We didn't stay at the Hilltop as Warren forgot to make our reservations when he left the year before. So instead we were at the motel in the downtown area. I have no drapes or curtains in the house here so never thought twice about taking a shower and wandering out naked to the bed area. Just as I did 3 people were looking in the window. All I could do was laugh.

I'm all for having another Santa Warren exchange this year. I still have the sleigh Judy sent me out on the buffet.

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

I would be in for Santa exchange too Betty/Dianne. That is one tradition I will never give up.....

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

oh, I hope I can join the Santa Warren exchange too, please.........?!?!?!

Thunder Bay Ontario, ON(Zone 3a)

Off n running .. AGAIN ..

Lilly & Piper to the groomers, Gord to the Rheumatologist ..

Dianne .. good for you for asking for a copy of the report .. unreal the charge for that !
Glad Diesel had a swim :-)
You and Betty are TRUE Canadian 'STREAKERS' :-)

LK .. all the best for Dylan .. as Betty said, the dietary choices now a days, ie gluten free are quite popular .. poor wee kid ..

Count me in for Santa Warren :-)

Off I go

SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEETCH ................... went to renew my subscription to Daves .. can ONLY use PAYPAL !
Have written them .. I have only ever used a credit card and have NO use for Paypal.

If I disappear, that's why :-(

~M~

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

That is all I use for online purchase. After getting ripped off years ago, I will never use a credit card online anymore. Too easy for crooks to steal your info.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

I always use Paypal also. I don't keep any money in it, Money is automatically deducted from my account at time of purchase.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

I use Paypal as well. $ can do directly from my acc't into PayPal, and vice versa. It's sort of like a debit card - have to have the funds in order to spend them.
I don't do online purchases. The only problem I have with PayPal is that it takes SO long for cross border transfers (Canada doesn't like US transfers either way - takes 2 to 4 days)

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Pay pal takes 3 days here in the states.

Thunder Bay Ontario, ON(Zone 3a)

Well .. I am home, and I am in shock ..
ANGELS walk amongst us .. course I always knew that, but, that thought has been reaffirmed tenfold!
I won't divulge the name of the 'angel', but I want to thank her from the bottom of my pea picken little heart :-)
What a wonderful, wonderful surprise .. my heart is smiling as much as my lips :-)
All of the best from me to thee, along with a few good solid hugs :-)

That little poncho is just too cute .. one of the gurls I used to work with is doing 2 for her twin granddaughters .. not sure if she has started yet as her dear hubby is not well.

43F this morning ..brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr .. frost on the pumpkin time,Lorna's folks say it is stil warm and muggy down their way.. having fits about packing the right type of clothing .. travelling limits you .. especially when I am going to have a walker and a bath chair on board. They will go in the back seat .. the 2 suitcases in the trunk ..

Staying HOME today .. beds to strip and laundry to take care of .. would like to bake a new banana bread recipe too .. not to mention the apples waiting to be processed!

74 with a feels like 81 today, evenings are cool...bearable temps
Sun is peaking through the windows, magnificent eye popping greens I'm looking at, hate to go downstairs.

Prayers are with Dylan, hope there is good news today

Got my hair cut yesterday "M" talk about short but it will grow in..easy to look after
What an adventure you will have, bet Lorna is excited about seeing her family.

Debbie, I was thinking of your love of photo's,mooing you will get to come, we will do Wasaga beach, largest fresh water sandy beach, the photo's you will take around Georgian bay to Meaford is spectacular...Sooo hoping you can come

Susan how is the reno's going

Squirrels are,up and down the trees here out front, think they are starting to stock up, wonder if they are trying to tell me something

Think I will attempt to get the Halloween throw put together today, off to play.in my craft room...ohhh started a poncho last night, got 1/2 front done, great way to put in an evening, love knitting

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone.
Restless night last night. As we have security cameras and voice monitors, we were up several times with all the dogs in the neighborhood barking. Guess one of them is in heat, and the whole neighborhood is trying to find her. There must have been 20 dogs running around. Sad so many people let their dogs roam free like that. We have called the city so many times, but because we live outside the city limits, there is nothing they can do.
"M", Dylan is 4. I imagine it will be late this morning at the earliest before we hear anything.

Victoria Harbour, ON

How annoying Lindakay, having the damage done to your vehicles I'm sure you kept thinking it could be someone on the property..bet you are on pins and needles waiting for Dylan's update

Playing between 2 projects

Will start sewing the 'My Canada' quilt blocks together and need 5 blocks to do on Halloween blocks then I can appliqué so I am making headway

I love that Halloween quilt.

Yes, we are constantly watching the windows, to see who is walking or driving by.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

32F / 0 celcius at the moment - fog's lifted and sun's coming up.

Bob's put railing at ground level and attached some of the skirting around the mobile, and set up the outside boards for the deck that will be underneath the den. Once he has those, he'll put plywood on, which will be the flooring for the den. It will be the back section of the mobile - 24ft worth. I guess he'll do the part of the deck that will be our outside portion, afterwards.
I'm so proud of him - he has ideas and ways to do things that I wouldn't think of.
Our den will be 10ft x 24ft

Oh my, that is cold.
It is 80 right now, supposed to be 98 again today.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

I'm worried that the weather will turn too cold and the snow fly, before he's finished. Don't like him working in inclement weather.
Right now, waiting for it to warm up.

Hope you hear about Dylan soon.
Can't the county do something about a dog roaming loose? Those barking dogs all night would drive me nuts!
I'll bet your hair looks pretty, Betty :D As you say - easy to care for.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

No, the county will not do anything. If they bite someone, then they will be arrested, but nothing will be done about them all running loose.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Heather just posted on facebook.

Our semi-good news of the morning: the stomach and upper intestines show no signs of illness or cancer. Now in the endoscopy they showed no signs of illness/irritation and what we're worried about is his lower intestines (which are already taking 6 hours longer to get back then the top but they were submitted at the same time 😣) but we have no news on the lower biopsies yet.
P.S. Looks like we'll be here til they can control Dylan's vomiting and diarrhea from what the doc was saying. So now we just kinda hang out.

My son sleeping with Dylan.

That is a pretty big den Susan..Lordy do you think he will have the outer shell ready and roof on before weather turns..long process when doing it alone.

High temps Lindakay, too hot for me

Hungry, just realized I had coffee but no breakfast so early lunch it will be

Now Lindakay I could get into the chocolates that fill the pumpkin you sent me. Lol

Thumbnail by Bettypauze
(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Chocolates are good anytime!

Scroll up and read my update.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Is somewhat good news lindakay, here is hoping that the rest of the results come back as good..that being said just frustrating as heck not to know what is causing it..

Good anytime?? Puts on pounds and it isn't taking me king to put weight back on

Was thinking about supper, have chicken and sliders left from Monday night then it came to me that I've been invited out to honey Harbout for supper, wow, how did I almost forget about it.

Tomato sandwich filled me up, downstairs I go to try and get a few more Halloween blocks done

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

I don't know how long it will take him to do the den.
It's to be a large den because we will be almost living in it lol
We'll have his & hers computer desks, my sewing area (6ft long table) and a tv (mounted on the wall, thanks to a gift given to Bob by Grace & Robert's neighbour).
We spent an Awful long time each day in it when we were living in our mobile before. It's our entertainment - computers, crafting & tv. Cheaper than going out!!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Sounds as though you are on your way to getting it done..good luck

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Thanks - just got a call from Zack - said he's removed the sheds and will send a pic of the lot. Once that's done, the countdown for our funds from the City starts - 5 business days they say. We need funds for groceries...... our freezer got unplugged and all the food went bad......
