Zoe Jane is a great song.
Judy, did she change the colors of her wedding, you said she was going to all the spring colors, pinks, greens...?
I love your dress. Everyone has a beautiful smile!
lol, Linda kay...Well the flowers were the Pop of color...she went with Radiant Orchid, so darker side of pink. The table floral was white peonies with fern, and hydrangea? I'll upload in a bit. Plus the yellow ahhh ? lol some gardner I am I forget the name, anyway they were branches in the pots! Very pretty.
Beautiful bride, wonderful pictures and oh, those gowns! You did a wonderful job, Judy!
I am so impressed!!!!
Very glad to see you back, and I know you enjoyed yourself :-)
Now, what's your next project? lol
I didn't get much sleep last night, so going to have a nap. Landlords had company over, and it was very noisy until midnight - as I've said before - no soundproofing between their floor and our ceiling.
Chat later :)
ok...I'm back.
Thanks Susan, whew I am glad to be back too.
lolol Project, my gardens are atrocity again.
But, I relaxed for the last several days, time to get back at it.
So now I am Fish sitting too...
Just look what came fishing yesterday!!!!!
We think it got 4, hands on the hips.
and forever chasing bees from the house...I'm a capture and release Bees person.
Out working outside, realized I was hungry so came in for a bite, checked the thread and Lo and behold photo's that made me weepy..Judy you give Jacob an extra hug and tell him how very proud I am of him...to have studied in order to marry his sister, imagine how happy that made her and him..just in awe of that..
Loved the photo's, especially that of Steve and Julia! Sure did a lot of ohh' s and ahh's..you sure did yourselves proud. Could see you glowing, did look like you took time to enjoy.
Thank you for sharing
Thank you for sharing such a beautiful day with us. It's almost like we are there.
Judy, is that a crane in your yard? Eating fish from the pond? I think I would be quite upset if I found him in my pond.
You are very welcome. I wouldn't miss sharing the day with you for anything.
Yes, Linda Kay!! We think it was migrating somewhere...haven't seen it at all today, whew. I scared it away earlier in the day, by accident, lol didn't even notice it until it flew away. When he came back I hollerd Jacob, quick, hurry as I waited grabbed the camera, lol told him don't move suddenly, pffft he stormed out there chasing it off. Wow! We were amazed. I kept watch for a while, then came in...A while later Steve come in all excited: you'll never believe what I just scared off in the yard!!! you should have seen it's wing span!
But yes we were upset and hope it doesn't come back.
But I do have another Bird to add to my list!
Betting he didn't fly far and will be back if there is easy pickins. You might have to put netting over the pond until he gets discouraged.
Yikes your right, he is back. so sitting on the deck keeping watch.
Hope he didn't get any. I really hope they are hiding in the rocks. Jake made some hiding nooks. lol DH will be home soon and he can takeover.
Sniff sniff, teary here .. JUDY what lovely memories ..
GORGEOUS bride and handsome groom, who look SO happy, and, In love ..
Made my day :-)
~M~
And my tears flow also... Such a beautiful wedding. Beautiful bride, handsome groom and preacher and such a happy happy family. Gorgeous Judy, just gorgeous. The MOB looks fantastic as well - love your dress. Everyone looks so very happy and that is a sure sign of a successful wedding. I know how hard you worked on it dear friend and it surely showed. Congratulations to all.....
Loved, loved the photos Judy. What a beautiful family you have.
Well today was 1 for the books for me. Chaos was supposed to be at the vet's for 2pm. I started a hour early to get Chaos into the Escape. Nope not happening. Brought Diesel out thinking Chaos would follow Diesel into the vehicle,Nope. Diesel ran away. Finally got Diesel back home and into the house. Put out a trail of liver snaps for Chaos to follow - no way. He just lets himself become a dead weight - I swear in his other life he was a protester in the 60's.. Upshot was Chaos won. I wrenched my back trying to get him into the truck and am walking bent way over. I look like a troll. Sigh tomorrow is another day.
I've read all the posts but will have to read again in the morning. Even my brain is exhausted tonight. I will go into the village tomorrow and hire a guy to come and put Chaos in the truck. Lots of strapping young men who don't work and hang around the local convenience store.
Dianne
Good morning Everyone! I got up late - Bob's doing a couple of weeks of painting interiors of condos, so going to bed late and getting up early. I can't do that for very long before I'm "crashing" in the middle of the day. Haven't been having naps, so today - didn't get up until 10 am lol Oh well, I needed the rest.
Today we have someone coming by to look at our upright grand piano - hope they buy it! I've got to get he place more tidied up from all the packing!! I'd better step away from the computer.......
Afternoon everyone,
Oh Dianne, no treats for chaos nor the others band members for giving you such a hard time, you who was just starting to manoeuvre better..shaking my head..you will have to rest big time this weekend.
Barb thought I had posted with a photo, must not have ..few of my valances were a tad long, made loop holders that raised part of the curtains, added a bit of style and made them look shorter
Karen, you won't be doing any of the cleaning next door will you?
Lindakay, get your exercising done today, great you are keeping at it
Kind of a lazy day here, sunshine galore with wind us up so feels much cooler than 64. Greg dropped in last night and got my riding mower going all the while telling me he knows nothing about lawn mowers, he is such a fixem' upper man, I'm lucky to have him so close, lucky for me, unlucky for him😜
Finished the baby quilt, that seemed to take most of my energy so will nap then there is no excuse not to get the grass done.
Long weekend ahead, nothing planned...
Just had another look .. I missed a bunch of pics .. all so lovely
Sorry to hear about the Crane, they can be persistent ..
Almost 80+ here .. just mowed the lawn .. I use the hand mower in the dogs yard .
Lorna fell at work, trying not to worry .. the rototiller hit a rock, and BOOM down she went ..
Dianne .. sorry to hear about your back :-(
Chaos and Zoey must be the same .. she HATES the car because she knows it means not so nice things, ie, groomer or vet
We try to take them on FUN rides, but, no way ..
Need some water
Later
~M~
oh Ladies - my apologies - I've been so wrapped up in myself that I'm not reading the posts here as I should........
Dianne - please take it easy this weekend - you need to rest after your fall!
Judy - hope that crane isn't snacking on all your fish! Betty - don't you have cranes in your yard, eating YOUR fish? I seem to remember you having them hide under the rocks and some surviving....
Marilynne - how is Lorna? That fall - did she get up alright?
Betty - I'm sure that Greg is more than happy to help his Mom - means you're not overdoing it and I know he's worried that you will! Stave off his worry a bit and let him "be there" for you!
Only 41 here - brrrrr I'll see about going out when it's warmer lol
Three events guaranteed to make me cry...weddings, births and first days of kindergarten. Beautiful pics and memories to cherish. Birth tears are ridiculous considering most of my career was in the busiest labor and delivery unit in the country but I honestly shed a tear each and every time. As for kindergarten, I made SO take them the first day. They were fine. I was a mess.
Cruddy weather and I'm at home today. TGIF! A nice family dinner and faking some housework is fine by me. Still lots to do in the garden planting-wise so we'll go up to the cottage on Sunday and get on with it. I grow all the tomatoes, peppers and eggplants in Atlanta and bring them to Maypop; a few hundred plants. Pretty hairy transport when the dogs get rambunctious.
Have a great weekend!
"m" not a wonder you are worried, did Lorna call to say she had fallen? That certainly is hard labour for her with a leg that doesn't fit properly.
Guess Susan you are busy packing..you also have a storage area right, you will feel like a newlywed when getting everything out in your home..lots of oohs and ahh's
Laurel, you've made me decide..I so want some cucumbers, tomatoes and yellow beans, I've been hankering for a veggie garden, perhaps I can find an area and put enough plants to at least feed me..Lordy, I do hope the weather improves so you can get to the cottage but that means more work for you..sigh
Back half has been cut, came in for pop then out to do the front, amazing how nice gardens look when grass is capital..I will take a garden a day and edge, that is not overdoing it..disappointed that Andrew didn't come to finish the pond but I said I'd be patient..
I also have areas that need the push lawnmower, glad the one I have is easy to start and is self propelled, helps
Susan, yes, did have cranes one year, luckily like Jacob I had pit some slate overlapping so the fishes had a place to hide..lost them all though, going to start fresh once the pond is up and running, hoping by Sunday, Saturday would be a plus.
Tried finding someone who would take a ride to Meaford with me early morning but no can find, all have plans so guess if I want to go badly enough I'll go on my own..I recall a metal arch that had benches on both sides, kept saying I want to go home with you, when my pond project is done I'd have the perfect place for it, watch it be gone..
I've enough brush that I could have a nice fire tonight, need a few things I. Town, best I pick up marshmallows, a party for me,myself and I. Lol
Well, best I get the front done before the bugs come out to play
Came home from the vet's exhausted and so is Chaos. Woo Hoo on the result of his lyme disease test. He does not have it but he had the shot last year. My other 2 did not. My trick of backing right out to the front steps did not work .... even when I let Diesel out and into the truck. Had to go into the village and find a strong young man loafing around. He wouldn't take any $$'s but let me buy him a coke.
Glorious day here... you too Betty, M and Susan?
BBL
Dianne
You have me smiling Dianne, often when I need help with something I wait till the kids gather at the pizza palace then ask if I gave them $$$ for pop or pizza would they help..always works, maybe it's the grannie glare lol
Good news on Chaoes..can you give the others the needle next year seeing as it works?
Afternoon everyone.
Yes, I am still going to the gym, doing my exercises. Steps is my only obstacle, but I am determined to make that leg work.
Dianne, so sorry to hear you hurt your back. Glad you got some help with the dogs.
Our blackie is the same way, he wants nothing to do with getting in the vehicle. Luna will jump in, and we have to pull her out. She loves going for a ride.
Dianne, so sorry to hear about Lorna falling. I hope her injuries are minor ones.
Susan, good luck on selling the piano.
Busy day here today.
Hope Lorna is okay. Also that she had help getting up again.
Hope the piano sells quickly Susan.
Happy you got help with Chaos,Dianne, and that it was a good report. Do you need to treat Duke and Diesel?
Sounds like a lot work you are doing Betty. I thought you were supposed to be taking it easy????
The wedding pictures are stellar Judy. Such a happy group.
Sounds like your gardening is just beginning Laurel. It will surely keep you busy for a while. Do you ever get to sew in the summer?
Going to a craft fair tomorrow. I'm sure I'l come home with something - LOL
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
Wasn't going to say anything, but, sometimes the posts are in a 'funny order' ?
Weather is absolutely fantabulous here, except for the of rain ..
One of DH good friends is on his way to Meaford .. his brother has passed .. last name is Johnson ... brother from here is Fred.
Dianne .. good news .re the vet visit ..
LK .. each and everyday, or, couple of days, without even realizing it, you will feel a difference in the hip.mov't ..
Laurel, I also work L&D for about 3 years as a new grad .. many happy moments, was even there for the SURPRISE birth of trips ..
Best get a move on
~M~
Poor little Chaos - all 100 lbs of him could hardly summon enough energy to get up and eat. Thank goodness they fit me in, actually took me in before others that were waiting. Pays to be a good customer..This was the third date for Chaos I couldn't get him in the truck the other times. I keep saying in his other life in the 60's he was a protester. There were a couple of people when I was at the Univ. of Guelph who were registered as a student but were professional protesters.
How's Lorna? I know you will tell her she's got lots of gardening angels backing her up.
Barb just Chaos is Lyme disease free. Diesel and Duke have the Lyme disease. Chaos had the Lyme prevention needle last year. Once the boys finish this round of meds they will retest. Hopefully 1 dose is all they need.
Wonder how Sharon is doing ?
I had the same weather that M had.Not too hot, small breeze... heaven.
Betty I am assuming the structure was out of iron. Or is it wood? There used to be a guy on the circuit years ago who did wonderful wraught (?) iron pieces. He had a store in Port Hope and opened another in Savannah then Charleston. He had a perfect fit for those 2 cities.
I see Mr Chaos is sound asleep asleep. Sure hope the the animals around us are quiet tonight so we can all get some zzzz's.
Dianne
Well we finally heard from tenants today, confirming that they have vacated. YAY!!!!!
Now to the mess. Considering they were there over 4 years, it's not so bad except for the carpet is all ruined and a bit stinky so out it all goes. Some paint and elbow grease will take care of the rest. Having the siding replaced and the roof redone so will be pretty nice when it's finished. We won't be able to recover the lost rent BUT....
took me forever, reading to catch up. for those of you not on FB. I was away to see my Sailor graduate college and become an officer in the Navy. also to meet my lovely new granddaughter.
tallest one in group is my guy.
hugs and thumbs up.
Kyle, Samantha, CJ, and Nova
Officer first salute, given to him by none other than his big brother, my Soldier boy!
Nova on quilt I made for her
hope everyone is feeling well, or getting better....
Hooray - your tenants are GONE, Karen. Just the pleasure of knowing the tenants are our will have to do for me as well.
I'm not packing as fast as I want to - but Bob's home now, until Tues, so he's helping.
Someone came to look at our piano for sale, but said they found another more to their liking
It DID mean that Bob cleared stuff from in from of it, so I have room to put Packed boxes.....
yes, Betty - it will be like finding stuff all over again - especially my sewing and knitting stuff...... and our table - it will be nice to eat somewhere other than off of tv tables at the couch. No room for a table here. There will be double the space back in our small mobile than we have here. Makes me appreciate the spaciousness of the "small" place we own.
Thunder .. the pics are amazing, well done .. and sweet Nova is just as cute as they come :-)
Karen, wonderful news re the tenants .. hopefully you can take your time cleaning and re furbishing ..
How ae you feeling?
Dianne, poor Chaos .. Going to make sure our 3 have their shots this year .. it's almost a $600.00 touch to take all 3 for shots and a check up ..
Lilly, my sweet #1 Westie is having dental surgery on May 26th .. we're all sick about it,but, we saw the tooth in question and, it has to come out, and, she'll have her teeth cleaned as well .. you don't even wanna know how much that is going to cost !
how's your back ?
Lorna .. well .. the rototiller grabbed a rock, and flipped up, and flipped her over !! She fell onto her back .. it's sore, but happily she had the presence of mind to push the tiller off in another direction .. Lorna's upper body strength is amazing .. anyway .. I'm waiting to see how she is today .. prolly be some bruising .. we are all just happy nothing worse happened ..
Susan .. time is coming closer 10 more days, you must be so excited :-)
Another sunny day here, maybe some cloud, and 80 !
Hummies (3) are loving the feeders .. and .. we're loving watching them ..
Enjoy your day
~M~
"T" can't believe how Nova is growing, bet you had a hard time putting her down. Congrats and a hug to you sailor boy.
Susan it's such a relief to just have them out. Lawyer had advise us to stay away until they returned key and told us they were out. As it was, we had to ask them in phone message, then they had locked the key in the house. It's a mess but not as bad as we expected. The broken glass in the yard is the worst. Can't imagine the idiot doing that with two toddlers there.
"M" sure hope Lorna is OK, most likely a few sore spots & bruises.
I'm doing OK. Dr.s office called already with next date for EGD. I asked him why that part of stomach couldn't be removed ( I can sure live with less), He said the G.A.V.E. would still come back in a different area. I guess if you got it you got it
We went car looking yesterday (doesn't cost anything to look right?) Of course we found one. Hubby has been really missing having a Suburban so....... Not new of course, those are $75,000. New enough for us and makes him happy.
Hoping all enjoy the week-end Finally springish here.
Morning everyone.
Thunder you must be so proud of your sons. Congratulations!
Karen, glad to hear your tenants are out. Sorry you have so much work to do. Do you have insurance that will cover any of the repairs?
"M", it is amazing how much we pay the vets for our fur babies!
Still raining here every other day. Which makes it very humid here. But the gardens are looking good. Hard to get the yard cut when the weeds grow so fast.
Uggggggggggggg .. didn't you know us Northerners would be saying that LoL
We have 83% humidity .. so .. you work around for a few minutes and you perspire .. just came in from filling the puppers water bowls with fresh cold water (cool) and watering a few patches of dead grass .. they really aren't dead, they need some persuasion, like a good steady downpour of rain for a day or 2 ..
Vets fees are OVER THE MOON .. but, like lawyers and dentists, what can you do ..eeek have a lawyer and a dentist in the family, guess I shouldn't say that LoL
Lorna is doing well, and, she thanks you all for your kind thoughts .. she really appreciates them, and she always asks after all of you as well ..
BUT ......... her Mom (86) fell yesterday :-( happily and luckily the neighbours saw her fall .. she broke her glasses, cut her face and arm and hurt her foot .. she is quite NON complaintive, but, jeeze, she is a busy lil lady, and, she will NOT stop to think of the consequences .. if something were to happen to her, Lorna's Dad would be alone at home until she recovered .. a definite worry for all of us.
Lorna's brother lives about an hour away, but, boys are boys .. not like women ..
Well .. best get outside and do some stuff .. lotsa weeds a poppin .. dandelions are incredible and we are being told not to CUT THEM as the honey bees (they are in trouble) need them .. it's their first meal of the year .. I'm sure that from space this area would look pure yellow LoL
TOODLES
