Glad to hear they are moving out Karen. I pray you don't have a lot of repairs to do.
Best/Worse//What dis I learn today? Chat with friends new/old!
Hope it is an easy clean up Karen. At least they are gone!!!!!
What a relief up it must be for you Karen, to have them gone..lucky you were able to check things out after they left, could have been so much worse had they not noticed the water being left on..will you chance renting it out again?
Keep looking for photo's from Judy, getting excited..so love wedding photo'd
Tired, girls came this morning, Darlene even dropped by for a visit, them Rita and a friend dropped in, just left so I'm off for a nap
Would like to sandwhich the baby quilt I just made but couch is calling me.
Lordy, sun is shinning but wind is cold..went to say goodbye to everyone and now I'm civil led. Brrrrr
Someone has posted a few photos of the wedding on Judy's facebook page. I hope she will post them here soon.
You listen to that couch Betty.
Sunny but a very cold wind.
Cleaning lady was here today. The house looks and smells good. I could do everything she does but I won't get the same result. Thinking that having to stay home on a Sat. morning when my mom went into town is why.
Oh my Karen I don't understand how your renter could not know the water was on.
Betty you mentioned sandwich and my stomach started to growl.
Dianne
Don't know how you do it with the TH Dianne, I have 1 kittie who sleeps away most of the day and can't keep up with hair.i vote you get your cleaning lady in Monday's and Fridays so you can just enjoy life without housecleaning.
I put 5 lbs on this week, think I'm eating to good..
Are they calling for warm temps this weekend??
Lindakay, likely by weekend Judy will be her chatty self and post photo's..
Got a call from specialist OfficeMax I go June 22 at 10am, then got a call re monitoring go my blood pressure, go get hooked up June 10th,4pm so will be busy with doc appts
OMG Karen .. can't imagine the repercussions of the hose left to run !
Our neighbour across the way had his sprinkler on last weekend .. he forgot about it and went out .. came back 4 hours later, ran his well dry :-(
Kind of a BIG deal out here .. he was able to re prime and do what all he had to do ..
Judy will fly in soon .. I can feel it
Did WAY WAY too much today and am going to pay for it tomorrow ... cleared out DH mancave (garage) and unearthed the other riding lawn mower that hasn't been used in 7 years .. looks good .. he is charging the battery, we'll see if it works tomorrow
Made 2 dump runs .. and, I am SHOCKED he let me throw out some of the stuff I did ..
Anyway .. I am totally going to bed and sleep at least 2 hours STRAIGHT .. then toss n turn for 6 LoL
~M~
Went for infusion today. Was supposed to be there at 8 but we got rear-ended on the way. Minor damage and no injury. Other driver was ticketed. Couldn't see damage to her car for previous accident damage. We got on our way, all went mostly well, I had a nauseous spell but it passed. Nurse was very concerned, she said I was quite green. Got home and slept for over 3 hours. I don't feel better after wards this time. Tomorrow is the EGD. Nurse very kindly left in the port today so is one thing I won't need redone.
Supposedly the tenants are finishing up today. The business with the hose was done deliberately, no telling what else will be there. They leave the doors wide open too when they leave. We were advised by lawyer to not enter until they return the keys.
Thank you for your well wishes, re: our tenants move out and our move in.
Yeah, Karen - little kids were not going to be able to do things that it takes a tall man to do. Baloney to be sure!
Sure hope you are feeling better soon Karen.
Oh my Karen, quite the adventure .. you may find yourself a bit achy today ..
Re the nausea .. it's a sign we look for during an infusion .. actually, the list of side effect signs are many .. that's why they take your temp so often ..
Hope and pray all goes well today with the endoscopy ..
Barb, how are you doing with the valences ? Keeping you busy ..
Betty .. hope you slept well ..
Sharon .. how are you making out with your mobility .. hope Vern is OK too ..
Going to TRY and not do so much today .. the mind is OVER willing, but, my body is revolting .. just nice to have that garage sort of straightened around ! Fingers crossed the riding mower turns over when DH puts the battery back in ..
Have a wonderful day ... there's a Robin outside singing away :-)
~M~
Morning all,
Karen, you have so much to contend with, health issues, your tenants and to add an accident, you must be overwhelmed...do hope you got a good nights rest.
"m" I'm with you, so many 'to do's', mind schedules day's activities and I'm all guns ho but as the day progresses body says it's a no go..shaking my head, seems we are all like that.
Sharon, been awhile since you've updated, sure hope all is well in your neck of the woods...
Deb, how are the dogs doing,?must call Sharon to see how Inuk did at the show he was in this week, mint sure, think it's in Texas??
Will be a gorgeous day out there, sun shinning on the grass and flower beds, can't believe how many shades of green there are out there..today for sure is the day I do my first cut..but one never knows what will get done and not done, still early a.m.
Got the valances done and they are up. I think they may be too long. (better that than too short!) It will be an easy fix to shorten them... All the windows in this old house are all different heights and widths. One window in the living room is 30" wide by 60 " high. The other window is a new double one and is 70"wide but only 36" high. So I will live them as they are for a week or so and then decide what to do .....
Working on the Irish Chain quilt I had started and also a piece of cross-stitch. Keeping myself busy and enjoying all the brightness of here as compared to how dark it was in Manchester. And now I can go to Sean's ball games when they are at home as the field is only two streets away!!!!
Good morning! Chilly and overcast here. Momma robin is still guarding her nest, it's been almost 2 weeks since I first noticed, so I'm thinking they should be ready to hatch soon.
Dogs are doing fine, we leave one week from tomorrow for Wyoming for shows. I'll meet up with the co-breeder on my pups, she's got my boy Tyler, he's been with her for showing for close to two years, he'll finally be coming back home! Excited about having him back!
Glad no injuries in the accident, Karen. Hope you get your keys back from the tenants and don't find too much damage from them.
Praying for an uneventful move out of your tenants, Susan. I know you will be so happy to be back home!
Anxiously waiting for Judy to post some wedding pics!!
Deb
Barb sounds like you are settling in nicely and this new place is suiting you very well.
We didn't get keys back as promised.....but..they did remove one junker car, hoping the other goes tonight. That will be the final thing for them. I do believe they did some clean up around the house & yard too.
I have my EGD today and am hoping I will then feel better for a while.
Holding you close in prayer Karen that all goes well and that you will feel on top of the world!!!! And also that the tenants are finally done and gone. You were especially patient with them.....
Morning/afternoon everyone. Been a lazy day for me too. I was up till midnight, as we had thunderstorms move in late, and I knew that our dog Blackie would bolt for the bed, if I opened the bedroom door, so I stayed on the couch, till the storm passed to keep him comfortable.
So I need to get moving and get to the gym. My therapy is officially over, but I paid them $30.00 for a month, to keep using the gym, so I don't lose the muscles I just gained.
Smart to keep the therapy going Linda, If you have access, working in a pool is good too. No resistance so you don't hurt anything but movement keeps you limber.
I am so sorry, didn't realize I was so so far behind.
Miss you all so very much.
Debbie
Hey Debbie. How are you doing?
Karen, I think the base has a pool I can use.
Evening all,
Debbie how are all your tests going? Nice seeing you list, you have been missed.
Barb, one thing about all the different sizes of Windows is that if valance doesn't fit one window it's bound to fit another..so glad you are enjoying your new home, am sure Norm us as happy as can be as well..
Karen how are you feeling? You don't have to wait till 1st of the month before you are able to enter the rental? Sure hope they cleaned up more than you thought..you will need help for sure to get everything habitable..could your grandson and family move in it rather than living with you in your home?
Deb, 2 years is a long time for Tyler to be away, other dogs and he will have adjustments to make..Wyoming is some drive for you..do you have someone travelling with you who can share the drive...that is a long one
Was 60 today, wore my jacket outside as the wind was up...
Took a hot bath, in my jammies after a hard day's work
Managed to get the rock bubbler moved to the side garden on the back bedroom...rock was so heavy took all I could to roll it to where I wanted it..
Then dug up rocks that surrounded the fire pit and moved them to form garden next to back shed then layered 72 cement blocks I had from the pond I filled in to form a circle around the fire pit, short 12 blocks to finish 2 rows in height , will pick those up Friday when I'm in town Friday..know I'll get the whatfor from friends / family who are always saying "let the boys or someone else do it, LIKE WHO I ask??? Right now that who is me!" I will just keep plugging, by weekends end I should be on top of it..
Hey Debbie, and everyone ...
LK ..I did the pool after my surgery .. hardest part for me was walking down the steps into the pool and then out after .. once I was in the water it was awesome .. and, Lorna loved it too .. but, like everything else in life, it was OK for several months and then we got caught up in something else ..
Been a wonderful warm day here, the HUMMIES arrived .. .. and, dontcha know .. we can only find ONE feeder !! DH washed and died and put them away last Sept, and, we can't find them .. grrrrrrr
So, one feeder up and I'll go shopping for a few more tomorrow ..have to take Lorna to the Cancer Clinic for blood work and an apt, so, we'll just hop on to WallyWorld.
Sure hope Judy pops on .. I just am so curious and excited to hear how the wedding all went ..
Karen, how'd ya do? Thinking of you ..
Best get a move on
TOODLES
~M~
I told Judy on facebook to post pictures here. She has posted several on facebook.
I can do steps as long as I can hang on to the railing.
Linda - same here - don't like taking steps with no railing. Especially 45% sidewalks.......
Well, it's midnight, and our landlords are finally quietening down....... They had company over and there's no soundproofing between their floor and our ceiling...
Two more weeks and we're HOME!! hooray!!!!
Good morning ..
Railings are a MUST for me since the surgery .. going UP a set of stairs is not bad, but, coming down, especially with something in my hands, like a package, is a bit nerve wracking.
Looks to be another nice day here, with NO rain .. always lots to do ..
Have a wonderful day
~M~
Things are finally taking shape here. My valances are done for the moment but I think I may need to shorten some. After they were put up, I'm thinking they are too long. Rather that than too short!!!! Easy fix.
Got five rows sewn together on the Irish Chain quilt. coming along albeit slowly. I must cut some more plain squares.....
Rainy here today but sun tomorrow so I may try to go to the knitting group. Haven't been in a long time and I miss the ladies.
Morning everyone.
More rain last night, and Thank God no hail. Gardens are loving the rain.
Barb, I hope you post some pictures of your new place. It sounds very nice.
Morning all,
Been up before dawn, feel like it should be late afternoon and look not even 10am
Was outside for a few hours cutting dead branches off of many of the shrubs..lost about 8 shrubs so guess I will be looking to replace them this weekend.
Quilted about half the owl quilt, having coffee then will go and finish it..by that time it should be warm enough to spend the afternoon outside.
Thought I'd hurt a lot more than I am today, amazing what pain meds can do!
Barb too am looking forward to seeing photo's of your new home...I've a few windows that the valences were a bit too long, I had fabric left over so made ties, saved me having to shorten them
I haven't had any hips or knees done but I'm watchful of stairs..appreciate when there is something to hold onto..
All went well yesterday. Turned into a busier day than had first planned. All finished and finally home by 7:30. Had a bit of soup and zonked out till morning.
Totally finished with 10 QOVs. Starting a T-shirt quilt today for Sisters step-daughter. Only one other project in the works after that, but I'm sure something will pop up.
Oh YAY!!!! Just saw a flat bed pull out with the last junk car at the rental. That should be the end of them.

Hello and Good Morning!!
M-O-B here, lol one of Julia's friends from work insisted I couldn't be the Mother of the Bride, lol of course I blushed then jumped up singing I am the M.O.B...what a great compliment, wink.
We had the most spectacular day! It was cool and quite windy. Now, I had been praying all week for a beautiful dry day. Oh and the power of prayer at 3:00 P.M. The gusty winds died down to now and again breeze, It was sunny and dry, and I didn't forget to smile my Thanks, it truly was a spectacular day.
I awoke at my normal 5:30, by 6, I was at the iron, lol...
We all went to breakfast, Then it was off to the hair dresser's for Sabrina...She had a really cool braid done, but we couldn't stay, I need to get Julia to the other side of the area for her hair and makeup. We got back at 2:30 and loaded up the car.
There you are Judy! Waiting for more awesome pictures of the wedding.
Way back in the fall, The kids chattered on about wedding plans and who should be asked to Officiate the wedding. Julia jokingly said how about you, Will you marry us?
We did extensive research to be sure all would be legal, and so he went online and became ordained to marry!
(well the first 2 pics wrong order!-how it loaded)
The Ceremony was lovely, and I was proudly impressed with Jacob.
He had been practicing for a time now, more so he wouldn't cry, He spoke loud and clear and at times a spark of humor.
Wow! Looks like it was a really great day! Such a beautiful bride! What wonderful pictures.
1-Katie; she is 7, so adorable she dropped petals on the way out too, all the way back!
And My Breenie. She outdid herself with the entire planning, shopping, decorating, all of it as Julia said, she was our Rock!
LOL, I wanted you to see the back of her Corset, lol it took me longer to get her into it and laced then it did to dress Julia, lol...Whew took 2 of us to get her laced in.
I was sweating like crazy, so much for my makeup, hahaha.
Beautiful pictures Judy, so glad you had good weather for this special day!
