Dr. called wants me to get another draw before he schedules another EGD. Fine with me, I'll go tomorrow. I'm good with either infusion or EGD. Just know I need something. Feeling a bit tired.
Best/Worse/what did I learn today? Chat with friends old/new
Aw Karen you are such a trooper ! Will you have whatever the doc recommends this week?
I need to have something to eat even though I am hungry. If I don't eat that is 1 of the triggers for my dizzies.
Betty did you get your imaging done?
Dianne
Yes he's one Dr. I do trust. So far he's been good with my treatment. He did say it could come back, I just didn't expect it so soon.
Yesterday we had wind and did not get out of the 60s. Today was sunny and bright. Yesterday I did 3 loads of clothes. Today I folded them. Tomorrow, I will put them away. Slow but sure. I am getting stronger. I did sit in our master bedroom closet and rearrange 4 of Vern's drawers in the built in dresser. I could sit in the wheel chair and do it and they were driving me crazy. I usually straighten his drawers every time I out clothes away. Did do that for about 4 weeks and they were a disaster.
Betty, better to be in bed waiting for the test than in the hall of testing room. Testing rooms are always freezing. I understand about your cat. By the time I got home all four of my animals were freaked out. They did not leave my side for days.
Karen, it is good you now recognize when you are running a half of a tank.
Barb, it is so much fun to put things in a new place and arrange it the way "You" want it.
Dianne, so sorry about your back. They know think my back problem started with the fall in the greenbelt by the tennis courts and the back probably facilitated the last fall that ended up finishing the job. They have come up with this conclusion because my bones are so strong and should not break from a normal fall. Probably will never know.
Please tell us what your favorite pie plate looked like. So sorry for the rest of your dishes.
Susan you are such a trooper. Crafty I am not. What is a difference between the Circular knitting needle and just plain knitting needles.
From here on down I am trying out the new dictation system I installed on my laptop. Believe it or not I am dictating this on my laptop because I downloaded something my son showed me. Because typing bothers my shoulder. I have to sit in the wheelchair bothers my shoulder. All I have to do is go back and read it and correct anything it picked up incorrectly. So hugs to you all and I will try to return tomorrow Sharon
I hope all those who are ill are taking care, or allowing medical staff to take good care of you!
Sharon - with circular needles you just go round and round, with the same stitch (knit stitch), and no switching between one needle and another.
When you use regular needles, in order for the piece to look the same on one side, you knit one row and purl the next.
This gives you a stockinette (smooth) finish on one side, with either method.
Morning ... furnace is running ..chilly morning, in the low 30s F
Was like this yesterday, but, the day ended up sunny and quite warm, got more of a tan as we sat out around the fire ..
Yard work to tackle today .. never ends ..
Aren't circular needles 'attached'

Whoa, big link, hope it works ..
Sharon, sounds like you downloaded a nice program :-) I 'think' this Windows 8.1 has it 'somewhere' LoL
Agree with you re the temps in the testing rooms .. I think it's to keep the bugs away .. used to send patients down with warmed flannel blankets ..
Dianne .. hope your back is feeling a bit better .. and, that Chaos os over his traumatic dishwasher experience ..
Karen .. best of luck with tests and treatments ..
Helloooooo Betty .. how are you ?
Been thinking about Judy .. must be getting nearer the date for the wedding, I know it's in May .. .
Coffee time ... come on over :-)
HUGS

Morning everyone. 63 here, but will quickly warm up to 90 today.
Yes circular needles have a cable attaching the two.
"M", I was told that the IT muscles in my leg is frozen, so they got out a softball sized ball with knobs on it, and gave my leg a massage. HOLY MOLY, that hurt. She said after a few treatments I will feel better.
LK .. one of the few OUTSTANDING muscle groups I remember OH SO well from training ..
One of my anatomy/physiology profs would tell us to 'Get off your tuberosity of ischium and get to work' .. in other words, get offa yer butt LoL
Here's a link to look at ..
http://www.caringmedical.com/treatment/ischial-tuberosity-pain/
Bothersome when it's inflamed .. but, it does calm down ..
~M~
PS .. made the chicken recipe from FBook .. waiting to cook it ..
Breasts are sliced, and, the slices stuffed with wilted spinach mixed with ricotta cheese .. a little cheddar on top, and, well, we'll see :-)
~M~
Please let us know how it comes out "M". Sounds delicious!
The chicken breasts sound good. I like to make Chicken Cordon Blu. Last week at the butcher's I got a chicken breast stuffed with spinach and feta. It was coated in a light layer of Panko. It was excellent.
I was thinking about the pork recipe that was mentioned but I am not a big fan of soya sauce.. I might just put it in a chicken or light beef broth with garlic and onions in the crock pot.
Took some chili out of the freezer this morning. I am not going to tell you how old it is... figure if nothing else the TH can eat it.
The TH have their spots on the bed waiting for me to come in and read. The BR is the warmest room in the house right now..
D and her TH
That looks & sounds yummy, ~M~!
Fairly new to the knitting market are the interchangeable tips for circular needles. They're expensive, but you get the cable, and the tips are the different sizes (thicknesses) and if you're in the middle of a project and need to change the size, you just pop off one size, and pop on the new size. Easy Peazy.........
Only thing is, the set of tips and one cable is more expensive than I can afford atm......
I was in the middle of re-buying all my knitting needles when I discovered the set of tips at Michael's. Sure not going to buy them now, although it would be a space-saver........ f'sure!
Met my sock knitting instructor, and she was impressed that I finished the first sock on my own :-)
Tomorrow I go for my 2nd and last class. The other student is Lorraine, and I hope she returns. She didn't seem happy at the end of the last (first) class. Like me, she was confused by the instructions. I worked a lot out on my own, after class.
Quick post,
Discharged yesterday at 5pm
Melanie brought me to get prescriptions, while she went in started to vomit, called hospital, sorry, already discharged.
Quick trip by ambulance at 3am
In ICU, not sure how long I will be here
Betty, Praying for you.
Oh jeeze Betty .. keeping you in my T & Ps ..
ICU !! Good heavens .. please rest and we'll all hope for the best ..
HUGS
~M~
Sorry to hear your home visit was short lived. I pray they find some answers for you soon.
Dianne, thanks for the link, I will check it out.
That chickens looks so good.
Betty - *Hugs* Thoughts & Prayers for you. My goodness, quite a scare!
When I got discharged, they told me if any symptoms reoccur within 3 days, to return, no problem.
I got a phone call / survey today about my stay at the hospital. I told them I need to speak to people about my ambulance trip. According to the Drs, I should not have had to walk the 45% sidewalk to the front street to get to the stretcher at street level (in a walkout basement suite, I'm 1 storey lower than street level).
Hugs, Betty. Praying they get to the bottom of your problems quickly.
Susan, no one that calls an ambulance, should have to walk to it when it arrives.
I know, LK, I'm going to call the Patient Relations dept and explain that I could have died before I got to the ambulance :-/
They can bring stretchers up to 2nd floor in a house, so they surely could have brought the stretcher to the back door. I was too weak to think clearly or argue........ I was on oxygen, and being held up by Bob & a paramedic to get to the front sidewalk before they put me on a stretcher.
Oh dear Betty, Check to see if the hospital has a patient advocate. Ours do, If you aren't ready to go home they cannot make you. Sounds like you need more time especially since you live alone. Someone really needs to get to the bottom of what's happening to you.
Evening,
Liquid supper but that is ok
Doctor is puzzle, says my UTI is cleared but the minute they take me off antibiotics there is a big change in white blood count
Will have a ct scan, aa tube put down my throat and go from there
I just cannot go home go go through this constant vomiting and back to emerge
Next attack I will go to Barrie says Linda
Mega company today , tired me out then more tonight..LInda was here from
10am -5:00
Greg left for Teladega Alabama for nascar, was a fight for him to go..said he best go because I'm leading the life of Riley here in the hospital
Maybe I can have an hour snooze before company
Sheeesh .. Susan, what if you had been unconscious ? OR, had broken a hip or leg .. just no sense to me at all.
The only folks here not 'allowed' to do more than 3 stairs are the Handi Transit people .. they take folk to and from appts etc.
Just absolutely stumped re Betty's treatment ..
Good side .. Lorna's Dad is home .. feels better .. fingers crossed on that .. AND .. Lorna called today to get the prosthetist to take her earlier as her leg is just NOT right .. back to work Monday, with worries .... agggggggg ..
I am holding all of you close, keeping you ALL in my prayers .. BIG TIME !!!!!!!!!!
~M~
PS .. the chicken was amazing :-)
Sending my prayers along with all the others Betty. There has to be a reason and I wouldn't leave now until they found it~~~~~
Must try the chicken "M".
I have a set of those interchangable needles Susan and I love them. Wise investment.
I bought a set of those knitting needles when I first learned to knit almost 60 years ago. I just bought a set for one granddaughter who was doing crochet and then taught her self to knit. She is awesome at doing both and was tickled to have the needle set.
Edited to add. this is the set I had and also the same one I got for her. Boye Knitting Needle Kit.

Mornin :-)
Another early day .. off with DH to an eye apt, and, breakfast (I hope)
Hoping everyone is doing well .. Karen, Sharon, Betty, Dianne ..
Barb .. are you all settled in now ?
Knitting ! MANY have tried, none have succeeded with me,.
Seems I have an anomaly .. I am right handed, but, I shoot a rifle from the left shoulder, golf from the left and, knit ambidextrously ,, and switch from one hand to the other ..
Best get a mosey on
~M~
Morning all,
Finally a sunshine day in my neck of the woods..think of gardening I could be doing, big sigh!
Have about 2 more ounces of yuk to drink before they take me down for c-scan
Still on liquid diet, if doc comes today I'll ask if I can have something more substantial.
All this talk of knitting, should ask someone to gather up some baby wool, needles and a pattern so I have something to do as likely I will be here a few more days. Have needles at home, patterns so we will see, maybe June can get something organized..will call her later.
Enjoy your day everyone...
On my Betty you doesn't don't do things halfway do you. Sending positive thoughts and prayers. You are right you are in the best place for you right now. While I know you are anxious to be home I feel better you have someone watching over you.
Got to go to Ktown and sign my taxes.
BBL
Dianne
Hang in there Betty. We are all keeping you in our prayers.
Jaye is sending prayers as well, and says she will ask for you to be protected and comforted by angels.
Quick HELLO .. checking in ..
Appt was ACES for Gordon ,, another apt next week ..
Betty .. I so am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers .. hang in ..
off to put up some fencing to keep "PEPE LE PHEW' out !!!!
~M~
YEAH! Glad to hear the good report.
Glad to hear the appt. went well "M".
Glad the appt went well "M" wonderful that Gord is finally over his eye issues, if not over them well on the way.
I'm a little upset, drank that yuk, got down for scan, mentioned I'd been on Tuesday for similar, not quite the same drink, she went and died things and didn't do the test, said it was done Tuesday huhhhh???
Soooo who's not reading the chart and keeping track of who does what???
My gosh Betty, with all the electronic charting that we do, that should not have happened ..
All I can say is, different floor, different staff, and, the doc must have ordered it by mistake and not looked back .. good thing you said something ..
And, that yuk (did it taste like chlorine) is gruesome ..
Good gravy .. Lorna has now totally washed and detailed my car and her truck ! Look fabulous .. if I was outside I'd take a pic, but, I just showered and I am exhausted .. totally a side effect of the drug I take ..
Vegetating
~M~
Had one come in to draw blood while they were trying to pump me full. Hubby asked what are you doing? She said Ooopps my bad and left. Good thing he sat with me almost every minute especially when I wasn't aware.
Karen, how are you feeling? Blood levels OK?
Going horizontal .. want to be up early tomorrow to make DH breakfast, he's headed west to Manitoba for a gun show .. will be home Monday evening.
My car is due for servicing tomorrow at 10 .. so, Lorna will follow me in I'll drop it off at Toyota and then we'll likely go for breakfast ..
Saturday we have neighbours bday to attend .. being held in the town hall ..
And we have LOTS of yard work to do .. and .. lots of scuttling of SOME of DH 'junk' ..
Sunday I have a Hospice thing ..so hoping this exhaustion deal blasts off !!!
Toodle dee doo
~M~
Sounds like a busy weekend.
Any luck with Lorna getting her new leg?
I'm feeling OK, my hemoglobin is up a bit. That's confusing, never had it do that. Haven't heard from Dr. so guessing he thinks all is OK.
Quick post before I call it a day..
Love Dr. Dolozel, very very thorough, took a few hours and reviewed all my test and did an thorough examination
Outcome
Could have slight diverticulosis, but minimal
Gall bladder, sludge and maybe minor stones
Kidney on right is working but terribly scarred, left one compensating so no issue
Now order c t scan for my head, ruling it out possible lesion
Then home with home IV antibiotics for 14 days and go from there
