Best,worse,what did I learn today?chat with friends old & new

My neighbor finally had hers out a few years ago. She was so glad she did. I think it was 3 tiny incisions and she was home the same day. She is Hispanic, and she loved her spicy food, but had to give it up as it was killing her gallbladder.

oh ouch on the spicy foods - yeah, it would hurt her gallbladder.

Barb - I'm having my up & down days. Today was "down". I sat outside yesterday with a fleece hoodie - hoodie up - and it got chilly. Just as I was going to get a jacket, Bob turned up and got me a warmer jacket. Woke up tired this morning, had a restless nap this afternoon and woke up yawning.
Knees are hurting me, and Bob says I sound like I did before I went into the hospital. Well, that's just because I sound tired, but my heart's not racing which is why I went in. It's just a tired day.
Bob's gotten a cold too, because he was laying on the ground under our landlord's trailer and the frost isn't out of the ground yet, so he's suffering. We're two old folks, each trying to look after the other. He's just gone to the store to get cold stuff.

Deb, Sharon has additions to her American Eskimo family this morning, poor thing, hydro has been off for days on/off on/off..just got off the phone with her..1 girl 3 boys
The last little boy doesn't want to suck..she said it's the first time a pup was born 14oz, and mom is such a small dog..to say the least Sharon is exhausted and looking for when she can get into bed

I on the other hand am just leaving for Barrie, want to go shopping for fabric for the "My Canada"quilt and the baby quilt I'm doing..few more no fat groceries and think I'll go buy myself an Easter outfit, my clothes are starting to hang so something nice and trim is in order. Lol

I hope Sharon's little boy will make it, it's so hard when they don't want to try. I can certainly understand her exhaustion.

A couple more days until I head to Ohio. Hotel called and said they had a room with one full size bed. I'm travelling with a friend (more of an acquaintance) and 3 dogs, told them one full size bed just wouldn't work. Still hoping they'll have a cancellation so I can stay at the hotel hosting this whole thing. From my understanding, I'm the only one who was bumped who doesn't have a room. I hate to be difficult, but, 5 bodies on one full size bed just doesn't work.

I really need to go do something! Car to clean out, clothes to organize, and still need to go out and pick up some Easter goodies for my granddaughter!

Zoey pushed me out of bed last night ,, I was not happy LoL .. had to get up and try and shift her 20 lbs of dead weight while she GROANED at me .. I am a total suck re these dogs, but, the other 2 have MANNERS :-)

Sun is now out, so, the snow I so diligently SHOVELLED will likely melt ..ahh well ..

Off to make dog cookies and finish laundry ..

What an ice winter wonderland out there..trees hanging with the look of diamonds sparkling as the sunshine is melting the ice, will take at least this weekend to rid everyone of the ice layers..I was 1hr later leaving than planned, I knew we had freezing rain BUT didn't realize there was a good 5" of ice covering my vehicle, one I worked for an hour it was almost impossible for the car to move as the tires were ingrained in ice..sure was beautiful though

Shook my head as I bought about 1/2 od what I need re my Canada quilt from 2 shops, almost $200, yikes, sewing in Canada is not cheap

Didn't do all the shopping I intended to do as I was invited out for Easter brunch and had to scurry to make it on time, always tomorrow..now look at my lovely 3 grand nieces, so love these gals

So after picking up a few things at the grocery store I'm home in my Jammie's and going to relax

I wish the kids were here. They decided to stay home and enjoy family time.
Those puppies are so cute. And your grand nieces are so precious. How are the twins doing? I bet they are growing quickly.

Thanks, Betty - I was feeling a lot sorry for myself, trying to make Bob eat when he has no appetite.
As for me, I'm not sure the cough I have is from same as Bob, or from the spices upstairs. She's cooking again, and boy does she love her spices....... and me with my scent allergies......

All I can look forward to is 2 1/2 more months......

Happy Easter to my DG family. The Easter Bunny brought the TH some Tartar Buster bones so they are very happy.

The big storm was all thunder and no lightning. Mind you everything is covered in ice but is certainly not the worst ice storm we have had this winter.

Marilynne - the tenants don't have to respond to the delivery, just be out when the time comes. Funny you should mention them. I woke up in a sweat this morning at 2am, thinking about them, and wondering if they'll actually leave.
I haven't stressed about them since I got out of the hospital. I wonder if they're into voodoo and are sending me nasty vibes......... j/k, but maybe not?!?!?!

Getting stuff together for the flight tomorrow, trying hard NOT to over pack .. Gord and I both know that is impossible for me LoL

Will try to keep in touch as I can .. am taking a few electronics with me ..

Leaving work shortly, then finish packing and getting last minute things completed. Oil change for the car, pick up prescriptions, load the ice chest, etc. I'm hoping to be on the road before noon tomorrow. And, hoping the weather in central Ohio is dry, I need to dogs to stay clean all week!

Glad you made it safe & sound. Are crocs really that comfortable that they help your aching feet?
I'll be right there, with Barb and others, keeping vigil and saying prayers.

Well, I had a chance to go to Urbana Oh to visit Sue or even Joyce, but then like everything plans get changed at a second half thought!! So today the girls and I are going shopping for the wedding...My biggest issue is the Bridal shower, ack what the heck was I thinking, I dunno where I'm going to put people.
lets see I've got my craft table could hold 6 comfortably, a long folding table, to hold at least 8, two round table can hold another 10, hmmm maybe one more table to hold remaining 6. I'm not even sure how many are coming...Well possibly have enough room, uh now to figure seating. Well the only thing I can think is remove all the furniture 2 big chars and love seat and utilize the bench, that won't be so bad.
We are doing a luncheon, Breenie and I will create a salad bar, and serve mostaccoli, both plain and with meat sauce, and also chicken breast sliced up for the salad bar. Plus I want to make the Crab salad from Dianne's cook book...for drinks we have tea, coffee and soft drinks, lol plus wine and beer!
House is staying fairly clean. today will get the hall clean, yep going to scrub the walls and doors, lol maybe even throw a coat of paint and wash all the picture frames.
In the meantime, need to start packing my Breenie up, she will be transplanting end of April, but I also need some of her space to put all my craft stuff.
ROFLOL, you should hear her talk about how she is going to decorate "my" room, hehehe. Right now I don't care, just got to clear out great room...OMG, You will never believe what I did, OH crap if I didn't burn a tiny hole in her veil!!! Well it so inconspicuous she didn't even notice soooo, shut my mouth about it and podge the thing together in that tiny spot...Can't even tell how stupid I feel, sigh.
Anyhow today, will go and pick up her dress, refitting Sabrina and do any alterations. right now the only thing is to readjust straps, ( too tight) lol, I can do that! And can you believe, I didn't send an invite to my sister, awoke in sweat thinking about it!! so getting that out today!! lol, well it's not like she doesn't know about it, but all the same need to get her officially invited.
So, I'm going a little bit nuts, but hanging in there.
Now throw in running to cottage, got all the winter clean up done, restocked and ready for the season...It's been raining off and on so not much done outside.
Friday taking MIL to an appointment.
ohhhh, but the nice news is, Flo has decided I'm his new best friend, at least till I take him to get clipped, lol. But at he's nice to me, not much biting and snarling. And yesterday, he have a conversation with me! Pegesus, poor bird, has gotten very limited time with me, just because I've been so busy, can't play with him out in great room. But now the beads have been put away, I can play a bit more...Awe last week, Emily came out with him and he come walking up to me and said HI Grandbird! So of course had to stop and have cuddle time.

Everyone have a great day...Hope the sun come to give you a kiss, suppose to be nice today. Maybe I can squeeze in some garden time.

Back from Atlanta, knee is still very sore, pretty sure it's bruised inside, most of the swelling has gone down. Now that we won't be running around so much, hopefully it will feel better. A few more days here then heading to NC. will visit with sis just past Asheville then head next day to Outer Banks. Spend the weekend there and head home. Want to visit with Cousin Bessie who we saw on trip last year. She's 92 and constantly on the go, still teaching country arts. Near her is a wonderful fabric shop I want to stop in and see how much trouble I can get i.nto there

I am doing good, I started climbing stairs yesterday at therapy. WOW! That muscles hurts.

Glad to hear Gord is resting. Will keep him in our prayers.

I don't know if I posted here or not, but Heavenscape/Jaye went in to have have a stent placed in her heart today. They fixed one valve, but found out 3 others are not working properly, so she will have the others done in two weeks.

Judy - sounds like you're stressing just like I would expect you to. You don't need to :-)

Thanks for asking, Marilynne - I've been really overdoing it since I got home from the hospital because they told me I was too inactive and that's why I was in this mess. So I stepped it up 5x.
Then, last night I had a rough night - Bob woke me up at 3:15 with his snoring (his cold has plugged his sinuses), and my knees were killing me. Home Care said I need to speak to my Dr about pain management, but I'm afraid to take more meds with my "issues" with my liver that the Dr had mentioned.
I go for my Heme Dr tomorrow, then on Thurs I go for my abdominal scan, bloodwork, etc etc etc..... Will be racing around tomorrow, and I'm just not up to it. I tire easily. After the past weekend when Bob was sick and we were looking after each other, I wore myself out.
On the plus side, I got a center from one of the ladies in the Round Robin 2016! It's the first one, and I'm excited to start picking fabrics and patterns!!

All in all a good day
