(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

I'll be doing mine tomorrow morning. Will that be enough time to dry Betty? How long does it take to dry. Maybe I should try to get it done today....?

Mount Sterling, KY(Zone 6b)

Mine is dry and all frosty :)

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

So I should be okay doing it tomorrow I think..... Thanks Annette for passing on that info.....

Victoria Harbour, ON

Doesn't take long at all, you will be fine Barb

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Thanks Betty. Looking forward to Sunday...

Victoria Harbour, ON

Just updating $$$ received

Got your and Liz's today Barb, appreciate it

Glenview, IL

Hi...
ohhh, will get that part done.

Yippee, Julia is joining us. We are excited!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I have 4 of the blocks, all frosted and ready to go.

Victoria Harbour, ON

You are energetic Lindakay

Does save time doing multiples at same time that way you don't have to wait for paint to dry,,just move on to another

Ocean Springs, MS

OK, Betty, I am the first to have a problem! Of course, leave it to me! When I put on the secnd coat, some of it "peeled." Just in a little spot. I could turn it so that the hat covers it if that would be an easy fix!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Shouldn't have peeled, maybe you put on too heavy, you did put the one in the little container, am sure you did...maybe sand it a tad and give another coat..where did it lift? If you are lucky enough it might be where the hat sits low??or once you give another coat where a main tree branch is??

Remember now, opening in block is on the bottom, so where is the lift of paint?

And yes, worse comes to worse you could so back then scrub backing off

Ocean Springs, MS

Think I put it on too thick. It has dried well now, so I will smooth the spot and apply again. It's fixable.
Time to clean plants and bring them in today. We're having our first frost Sunday night. Ugh! I know you Northern gals are laughing at me, but I have thin Southern blood! LOL

Glenview, IL

Hi...Ok my block is nice and frosty.
....hmmm, that's weird Julie, well I hope you got it fixed up.

Glad everyone has their items!

Betty, are we to leave the tac on?

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I hope not. I took mine off.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Yes you were suppose to leave it on

Lindakay, maybe you can tape around it,

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

I have a couple of bare spots Betty. Can I touch it up? Or will that ruin what I have? I think I can work around it.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Up oh. I will tape it up.

Victoria Harbour, ON

No Barb you can lightly go over the area or entire piece

Did you have enough of the medium
So glad I could send that part

Just went downstairs and finished cleaning my craft room

I'm free tomorrow for any questions you may have

Victoria Harbour, ON

Anybody seen Pat around, she is the only one that didn't say she got her packet??

Ocean Springs, MS

Got to put my tac back on!

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Just touched up my mac tac so I'm good. Norm is going to set up my computer by the table so I can follow along. See you at 9:00 !!!!!

Well it's 9:00 am
Am sure some will join in as the morning progresses

So Barb, just you let me know when your first step is done

Step 1

On my table is the glass block, glass and tile medium applied and dry

We've got water, the small piece of sponge I sent, white paint and something to put paint on and some water

Maybe hot chocolate/coffee/tea??

If you've those items then we are ready

Remember, if I don't explain myself clearly enough, just chime in

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Victoria Harbour, ON

If you are ready here goes

Wet your sponge and squeeze to remove the water in it

Dab the sponge in white paint and pounce the inner circle till you've covered the entire are

Reason I say pounce is because you don't want to build up the paint into mounds but want to cover the surface

Now it won't be entirely covered but that is ok, ready to dry

Pounced!!!!

Victoria Harbour, ON

How did it go Barb?

Now you can let it dry on its own or you can use a blow dryer to quicken the process

Don't put it right on the piece but maybe 5 -6 inches above

See photo

Wait till glass. Cools and give another coat of white
