I remember Trudeau mania..yuk
Lindakay, thoughts and prayers for you and your boys,,know the day will be overwhelming for all
Girls are coming this morning, thought I would make muffins for them,
Garbage day as well
Maybe after they leave I will look for the pump and start emptying ponds so I can take the pumps out before they freeze. I wonder if I were to empty below pump, cover it up if it would be ok?? Might phone Greg and ask
If I get all that done I will be ahead of the game
Thought this might be of interest to some of you
I so need to lose 20lbs

Good morning everyone,
Feeling a bit better. Still up and donw, mostly down but OK. If that makes any sense.
LindaKay, I, too, am thinking about you and your boys this morning and hope all goes as well as could be hoped for.
Also thinking about Willow and Smokey and trust they have met Jennybear and some of the many others we have all had in our lives.
Neighbors Dana and Tom got back Sunday. Inky Dink had her first play date with their three small dogs yesterday and had a ball. Even grumpy Tom thought she was adorable and she is invited over to play any time.
Tony and I are trying to find where the tin roof leaks over my store room/library. Also trapping vermin wwhich are hard to get rid of once they have moved in and this place was empty for many years before I moved in. They keep coming back. Maybe someone is secretly filming this for a horror movie.
Susan, I hope you and Bob get your house back soon. What a nightmare this has been.
After twenty-five years of hassles from the IRS due to the mistake, probably deliberate, by the acting director of my retirement association, I got a letter from the IRS that they are done with me. No harm,, no foul - ha. Still dreamed about the Retirement association last night. This, too, shall pass.
I'm very happy to have neighbor Dana back. Her husband Tom even gave me a welcoming hug. And, as I said, he likes Inky Dink.
Helper Anita will be here today. I've been cleaning and organizing craft stuff and need to make room for her.
hugs, katie
M I thought that Justin Trudeau taught high school for a year or two when he first graduated from university.I have 2 nephews in their 50's who have never worked - they are perpetual students.Just how many Masters and PHDs does 1 person need?
Wine glasses are cute. When we entertained a lot I in late Nov and all of Dec I used a piece of stained glass as place cards with their name written on it and some other Christmas themed piece which the guests took home. Those wine glasses would be perfect. I too love the penguin.. We had a steady customer who would come every year and buy an ornament for her guests. She used them as a place card and usually attached them to a home made jar of pickles or jam for her guests.
So happy Inky Dinky got to have fun with your neighbour's dogs Katie.I always advise people that come to visit and bring their small dogs not to let them run loose until I have introduced my boys one at a time. Somehow I think over 300 lbs of 3 very large dogs would be very scary for a wee dog. My boys are very gentle but I would hate see them step on one of the small dogs.
This 1 bone chip is driving me nuts - it really hurts when I eat plus it makes my plate almost impossible to put in. Ok enough whining - using the plate is superior to me seeing and feeling my teeth crumbling.
Streak and Sassy sure love their hair cut. The tech well actually 2 of them were able to hold them so they weren't knocked out. I had fasted them just in case and boy did I hear from them. Apparently Streak amused them all with his very loud vocals.
Ok need to get going. Have been up for ages but still have not eaten. Don't fancy anything but maybe when I look into the cupboards something will jump out at me.
Dianne
Dianne, can you call the dentist, and ask if he can remove that chip?
Katie when you said 'done' with you doesn't mean you hacpvehave to pay mega $$$ does it?
Glad the furries had a play day.
Sympathize big time Dianne, know how badly it hurts
Hope chip comes to the surface soon.
Stained glass nice piece for welcoming guests and something to send home with them.
Girls just left, all busy busy, think I might get serger out and see if it still works
Ann was feeling poorly today, dizzy and nauseated so she just worked on mason jar lids to church bazaar, now painted she will add hats and embellishments
I don't owe anything and they won't hassle me anymore. I did pay taxes in the amount of one year's income when I didn't owe them and I can't get them back. A judge ruled that the retirement association is not liable for repaying me even though it was their mistake and their job to provide correct information. kb
Oh YAY!!! My DGS & family will be up here on Monday and spend most of the week here.
That is terrible Katie
If nothing else you can start to put it behind you, start with clean slate.
Like Tony Anita sounds like a godsend to you!
Great news Kare, bet he is as excited as you are re the visit
How did I end up on th couch, legs up thinking of a nap
Not good news..
This is our new prime minister? omg........ he doesn't look 43.......
http://prntscr.com/8tdywt
Nauseates me Susan .. guess I should 'embrace' the new
regime', but, it's going to take a lot of faith ..
DH has his carpal tunnel surgery, L hand, on Nov. 19
Having Zoey's ear checked ? $225.00 !!! AND, I have to purchase the meds tomorrow ..
Katie, that retirement thing just sux! I would harbour bad feelings for sure.
Dianne .. will this chip make it's own way out ?
LK .. how'd things go today ..
Karen .. I can feel your excitement :-)
I am POOPED .. one more day to be up and out early early ...
HUGS to everyone
~M~
I just talked to the boys, they said he had a wonderful military service, with the folded flag given to his wife, and a 21 gun salute.
Awww wonderful closure for your boys Linda.
"m" first day you can sleep in watch you will be unable to
Yikes, cost more for animal care than ours...$225' that is steep!
Gord will be glad to have it done before Christmas, nov 16th gives him time to heal before festive season begins.
Lindakay, boys will be thrilled to have the behind them, closure for sure. Bet you also had a difficult day, jugs my friend.
Just got in from town, can't believe how dark it is and it's only 6pm
Bought Frey check and 4 spools of white for the serger, now if only I can thread it without major cursing I might try and get some of those mitts done.
Also picked up a ham, tomorrow I will cook it along with scalloped potatoes and carrots and make more TV dinners.,had to purchase containers as I had none left.
My trip to town has tired me out even though I had a nap this afternoon
Got to find something to occupy my evening or I will be up all night
Mom had done and given me 3/4 of a cross stitch quilt, almost all the blocks are done, need good nighttime eyesight to work on it or I could do that..hmmm maybe doing more rows on the neck warmers
What do you a,k do in the evenings??
Todd and I sit and watch TV after dinner. He has the controller, so it is news for a bit. Then some car building shows. I sit on the sofa with my tablet and check DG, or facebook.
Tidy the kitchen, watch Coronation Street with Gord .. make Lorna's lunch ... fill the dogs water bowl .. think about whether I need to get something out of the freezer for supper the next day .. play Scrabble, and, am usually horizontal by 8pm ..
B O R I N G !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
More exciting than I. Lol
I just pinned a few mitts, decided not to do all because if I pin and I'm doing it incorrectly then wasted time..did 8 pairs, really 4 because they are reversible ..if they work then tomorrow night I will have something to occupy myself with..
Drats missy got out when I was bringing groceries in and now I call and no kitty, hope it's not an all nighter for me waiting for her to come in
All my kitties are out but two. Must be the warmer weather.
We had garden club today and made "porch pots". It was fun and everyone loved doing them. Then a salad and dessert carry-in. Yum!
The ointment the dermatologist prescribed cost me $35 co pay. Ouch! I had a $20 coupon if I brought a new prescription to Meijers. Well, dang! They wouldn't let me use it because I have "government insurance ". Now tell me why that should make a difference? I'm pretty unhappy with them right now. Good thing they give each of us free Lipitor or I'd be a goner!
If I have hand work like binding to do, I'll sit in the living room as long as I can stand what's on the TV. I have one of my Ott lights there so I can see. Don't like most of what hubby watches, plus he's a flipper during commercials....makes me crazy. Otherwise I'm on the computer, gaming and or on FB.
I'm a lucky girl! I get the remote!!!
Hi - I put the word out to our church that we're in need of knitting needles. Mine are at the mobile, in our sheds. After what we went through on Sunday, I'm in no hurry to go back there.
Something funny happened last night. I got an email from our internet/tv provider, saying that the "new laptop has been cancelled from our account, and that our high speed has been cancelled." I got into an on-line chat with them, and asked what this was about - our free laptop for signing up was over 3 years ago. He said it was all paid up, and would be taken off our bill. Asked what the new bill was, and he named something about $75 more. Corrected that, and then said there was something changed (as of Oct 19th......?!?! day after they were to be evicted? odd.....). So I told him that they have NO authorization to make changes to our acc't. He's going to do a follow-up and find out what's going on.
If they were actually thinking that they had to leave as of Oct 18th (date of last eviction for non-payment of rent), then Marcel said "NO", Carolyn would cancel it. I have a sneaky feeling that's what happened. It's all very odd......
Our brakes were Really sounding bad last night, so today we "bit the bullet" and got pads & routers. Couldn't afford the callipers too. I was Really impressed with the shop - told them we couldn't afford the $1200+ bill for everything, and he asked what budget we had. Told him $300 to $400. He worked to $467, and gave us routers & pads on the front, said eventually the callipers would have to be changed too, but that we had "awhile"..... could be 3 to 6 months. or even 6 months. No way of telling. At the furthest end, we would be financially better off - only 1 rent (currently 2, and no enough income from mobile to cover) and rental on our storage unit (which ends when we move and have room to store stuff again).
I can hardly wait.
Anyway, I put in an excellent review on the Brake shop - so very pleased! Heck, we really couldn't afford to pay this, but we (for safety's sake) couldn't afford NOT to either.
Hey Karen - me too - on computer, gaming, and FB lol however, the computer is in the living room, so watching tv too lol
Bob's not a flipper between commercials, but takes awhile before he settles on one. Sometimes he'll watch a show before the one he wants, so he doesn't forget to switch to the channel he wants lol
Even if I were here alone, I'd watch very little TV, one or two shows a week, maybe a special here & there. I tend to fall asleep if I'm reading or watching TV so don't even try.
Vern watches TV but I have the remote. He can no longer get the remote to function. Everything is recorded and I just pull up the menu and ask hem what he want to watch. Then when the commercials come on I FF through them. I am on my laptop and watch out of the corner of my eye. I have some shows I watch and I watch them in the bedroom when I am making the bed or folding clothes. I watch Masterpiece and things like that. I love English TV.
I saw the photo of your new PM. He looks like a baby. I actually thought, maybe a young fresh mind will be better. I do not know much about Canada politics but the US could use some young fresh thinking.
My brother an his wife are still on their cruise. They could not into Prince Edward because of stormy weather. Anyone have any idea where they are sailing? I am asking because I do not.
Karen, so glad your family will be there for a week.
We had rain for 3 days. The day the grandchildren headed back to Utah, just about the time they left all hell broke loose. Took them about 4 hours longer to get there.
Newly weds are back from their Hawaiian honey moon and he is back and school and she is back to work. She has already graduated. Other granddaughter is now in Kansas City, MO reporting for her new job tomorrow and planning her December 19th wedding. My poor daughter she will talking to her self by December 19th, Thank goodness she only has two daughters.
Betty, I love your idea about TV dinner from our own cooking. We have a restaurant supply store that sells containers for take out food rectangular and shallow. What do you use?
Katie, good to see you post. Glad you are feeling better.
Diane, I have the same question. Can't a bone chip be removed.
Betty bad time of year to try and lose 20 pounds.
Vern and I both have blood tests tomorrow so must start getting him to bed.
Marilyn, I would use a cheap cut of meat for the ague and ranch dressing. Not a prime rib.
Susan, the worm just turns a little more.
I took some photos today. I will post tomorrow. Hugs to you all. Sorry I did not answer everyone but just cannot keep all of that info stored in my mottled mind.
Hugs, Sharon
our PM is 43 yo, and I think the pic may have been taken a few years ago....... but really...... wow
As for "the worm turns"....... I suppose you were referring to our tenants? Still waiting to hear from our provider to see who tried to make changes to our account.
Sharon .. your brother would be on the east coast of Canada around Prince Edward Island .. beautiful location, but, when the seas blow up, well, they do it in fine fashion .. the Atlantic ocean is a formidable foe.
LAST day to be up early and out .. that' everyday for 6 days .. and.. I have HAD it .. tomorrow I REST !!!!!!!!!
Have an enjoyable day ..
Betty, did Missy come home ?
~M~
i sit and watch the cooking channel, unless hubby is home, then i watch what he wants to.
Betty is awfully quiet today. Hope all is well and Missy came home.
Good thoughts to you all. Care Plan meeting at the nursing home today. MIL has been there 4.5 months and the fees for her care have increased from $4825 a month to $5006 a month, but have yet to see the care level justify $60,000 a year.
Morning,
I is here, yesterday it was apAnn who was dizzy and today it's me, bit off...can't imagine what Dianne goes through
Anyway, I'm still in my Jammies, turned up the heat, cuddled into a blanked most of the morning but now it's time to stir
Have ham, veggie and potatoes cooking, just put a load I'd wash. On and load in dishwasher so I'm all caught up
Decided I'd do my hair but staying in Jammies, watch me get company. Lol
Wow Jean, can't imagine paying that amt of money per year for care..almost better to have a live in caring for her. Here is hoping Care Plan can help. Sometimes you have to wonder if you are better off with no $$$
Well you all have things that keep you company in the evening, guess what I'm missing is a hubby (I will pass)😏
Roger had to be the worse with the tv remote, half the time a commercial would come in, he would switch channel and by the time we went back we'd have missed end of show.
Yes "M" Missy came home at about 10:30pm, read her the riot act but she didn't seem to care what I had to say
Sharon I use my Chinese food containers for TV trays but yesterday oicked up plastic ones at $$$ store, should have bought a few more.Next time I'm in for Chinese I will ask if I can purchase a few of their containers, lids seem to seal better..ones I bought yesterday I will also put Saran Wrap around them..hope your and Vern's appointment went well. Can't imagine having 2 weddings in 1 year!
Susan, it's great that you were able to get a good deal re your brakes, certainly need good brakes with winter coming on.
June was saying yesterday rather than go in search of needles bought some at $$ store.
Time to do my hair
Glad you are okay, Betty. The Care plan is just to "apprise the family of what care she gets".
MIL requires more than a home health care giver. She receives all meals through a stomach tube as she is unable to swallow, requires diabetic care/monitoring and is be-ridden and can not stand on her own as the left side was destroyed by the stroke. She has to have daily nursing care.
It would cost more than $60K to have in home care and would require modifications to the structure of her home (hallways, doorways too narrow for wheelchair, Bathroom not handicap equipped).
Betty, when mine were at marrying stage. 1st, 2nd and 3rd all got married in Jan. 1 year and 1 week apart. 4th waited a while longer but thank goodness I didn't have to pay for that one.
I just called the church, and one of my church friends is lending me some knitting needles. I can't see myself buying new ones until I can get back into our place. I have ever so many pairs of my own.
anyway, I'm off to go pick them up :-)
Well .. here I be .. and, life has thrown the family another 'curve ball' .. but,we've caught it, and, we'll run with it ..
Gordon saw the Ophthalmologist this morning .. and .. his eye pressure is very elevated .. so .. he is having emergency (well quick like a bunny) eye surgery on Monday .. laser surgery to drain off the fluid .. needless to say he is shakin in his boots, and I am trying hard to remain calm
Asking for thoughts and prayers, and, am thanking you all in advance ..
~M~
"m" prayers coming, your and Gord's way, you just don't seem to be getting a break lately, shaking my head! Thank goodness you are a nurse and know how to deal with such issues..different though when it's your own.
Spoke with mom today, told her tests show that they may have diagnosed incorrectly, for now no meds..if she is to it wants to come up for a few days, told her about the queen size quilt ske gave me had a tad of cross stitch yet to do, she said she would like to do it and leave putting it together to me
Seems Missy and I cuddle in for a 2:30 pm nap, becoming quite a habit
Big, fervent prayers for Gordon. Eye doctors (and others) are doing miracles these days. Praying Gordon will get one. hugs, katie
Sending prayers as well. What is causing the eye pressure?
