Gordon has glaucoma, and, he is on prednisone for the arthritis he was Dx with .. the prednisone elevates the eye pressure even more .. it's a slippery slope ..

I am so sorry Marilyn. That is a double edged sword. Vern had a torn retina and had surgery and the whole bit but lost sight in his right eye. He has 20/20 in the other. He goes to a retina specialist every 6 months.

Betty our blood test was a no brainer. And I got Vern up, dressed and fed breakfast and there on time. Getting him to an appointment on time is not easy. But right now he has two baseball games to watch so he is a happy man.

Karen, 3 wedding in one year had to be overwhelming. Having 4 daughters had to be overwhelming.

At Sarah's wedding the groom's father was one child of 8 children and the mother is one child of 9 children. The mother's family is one of the original founders of Riverside, CA. There were so many relatives, if they did not invite anyone else there would have been a big crowd. Thank goodness there were two receptions. One here for the friends of the bride and groom and immediate family and then in California there were hundreds of people that they didn't even know.

Susan, glad you got yourself some knitting needles. Time is flying by. Soon you will be back home.

Betty those are nice containers. I will check out the prices at a few places around here. Costco has a business warehouse here that sells to a lot of restaurants. I will go on line and check them out.

You keep talking about Chinese food. I finally caved and ordered a bunch for the grandchildren for lunch on Sunday from PF Chang. And I made myself a plate and enjoyed it very much. So when I go to the doctor and something is out of whack, I till tell her "Betty made me do it".

I need to go do some laundry and figure out something fir dinner. You all have a wonderful evening.

Some garden photos I took yesterday. Second and photo is Queen of Sheba. Forth and Fifth are bougainvillea.

Not three in one year...They were each one year and one week apart, 3 in 3 years in a row. No I have 2 of each but oldest son's bride's dad gave her $100 to get everything she needed for the wedding. It didn't pay for more than her gown. We got veil, shoes, & rest of her clothing, hall, food, flowers, band,& photographer, hairdresser, alterations I did. He did provide his church.

Karen, that makes me chuckle because my daughter thinks after this wedding everything will be a cake walk. Not thinking that her sons may find someone that will not have a fairy tale wedding and her boys have seen it and will want it for their bride. I fell on my check book and it did not open. No matter how broke my daughter cried I just ignored her. But I did write a nice check for the wedding gift. Karen that was very nice of you and your family.

Thanks for the info on the cruise. They said they are heading in to Philadelphia. This is the brother who's wife died during an angiogram and a few years ago her married his highschool sweetheart. Third wife and the first that will travel with him. They both have nice retirements so they travel a lot. I am so happy for them.

SO much goes into a wedding, having only had one son, who married a bossy girl from a totally self absorbed family, we pretty much gave them a few thousand dollars, and, showed up at the wedding ..
Should have known back then that the future would be fraught with troubles .. ahh well .. that's life ..

Still in a state of shock after yesterday .. but, trying to let it sink in .. poor Gordon, sure has taken the wind out of his sails .. makes me sad ..

As far as weddings I had little to do, all was done by bride and her family, I did the mother of the groom planning, rehearsal night so got off easy!

Kind of lazy here yesterday too. I made a doggie bed for a friend and then read most of the day.
Looking for a knitted dog sweater to make as a Christmas present. I want to make two - one for my daughters toy poodle and one for a friends tiny corgi puppy. . She is only three pounds and will not grow beyond 6-8 pounds. Does anyone out there have a pattern?

Darlene was one of my visitors, things are going so well with her and her new friend, in passing she said when 'we' leave for Florida, gave me the chance to jump in and say we with a smile..she said he wanted to bring her down or have her fly and he would drive her vehicle down, think she thought I'd be upset as it's been me these past 4-5 years who has taken her but I made sure I was here should she need me and am not offended so likely john will bring her.

Here's something funny we got today...
We got a call from Health & Safety - our tenants called them for a walk-though on our mobile. The ONLY think they could find, was that the egress window in the den was too small and that they have the baby in the den, sleeping. First of all, they don't have the baby sleeping in the den - she sleeps in their bedroom. I saw this when I was visiting them (when they were still being nice). On the same end of the mobile, the master bedroom has the right size windows for egress. THIS is all that H&S found "wrong". Bob told the agent from H&S that "between us" we're giving M&C their notice at the end of the month anyway, to move in for our personal use. Also told him that except for the new hardwood in the bedroom, and new tile in the bathroom, it was the same as when we moved in 9 years ago.
I'm sure Marcel tried to show him the stove that we just bought (Sept 30th)and that it's "broken"
We were trying to figure out how to get a Home Inspection before we give them notice on the 31st, but it looks like now that they had H&S come by, they've actually done our job FOR us? lol The place is fine - no broken windows, etc...

So, I'm sitting here laughing, because there's nothing that can be found wrong with the place, and now there's been an inspection!! We didn't have to do a thing...

Also will help if they now do damage it will be proven by the walk through just done

Can also act as a deterrent to them doing any damage as they would surely be at fault.....

Marcel has proven time and again how stupid and demanding he is - Now Health & Safety are getting this too...... the oven is fine (they have workable cooking implements), windows are fine, etc, etc, etc.......

Bet they think you can't give notice..

Girls just left, Rita has 3 projects to finish, we're aiming for at least one this week. Lol

Maria is in the city Sooo I'm tired, hoping to sleep well tonight and Lord willing, sleep in tomorrow morning.

I'm sure they don't, Betty - they think they're free & clear until June.

Another early morning .. have been up for a bit due to a coughing fit .. didn't want to waken the whole house so beetled down to the kitchen and had a good old coughing jag complete with tears (runny eyes) .. the dogs joined me as they wanted to go out ..

Not sure what today will bring, but, if I am able to manage it, definitely some housework ..

I see the surgeon Monday morning. I pray I get a surgery date soon!
