Woke up to snow here also Betty. Not sticking yet, but sure is chilly.

Betty - when you got 1 lb of butter, but in fourths, wasn't it in squares, and not sticks?

We went to our mobile, with 24 hours notice, and when we arrived they've driven their vehicle across the two parking spots so we couldn't drive ours into the driveway. And blocked us getting onto the deck by putting a wood stove in front of it. Then demanded to know if anyone else was with us, and if it were just the two of us as it stated in the notice. I told him we had an 81 year old waiting in the car. He said "He can't come onto the property!! You can't come into the house!!" and other such screaming and ranting...... He said if anyone else was with us, that he'd call the police.
I told him that we weren't engaging in any conversation with him. He left his car parked across, and we could only walk past, with our car parked in the main street. Then he unblocked the gate. The back yard was blocked with all kinds of lumber, furniture, and anything else he could, so we couldn't go further than the sheds at the beginning of the back yard.
We got our stuff out of our sheds (left in our possession with our stuff stored in it, and locked).

On a slightly different note - We won't be having Christmas here, as there's no place to put decorations up, or a tree, or table to have dinner on. We may have a turkey, Bob & I, but that would be it.
We WILL celebrate Thanksgiving, Christmas, our anniversaries, and birthdays, in March. That's when Susan will be here, from GA, and we'll do the Whole Thing then.
According to the lawyer, they have to be out at the end of January, and that will give us time to get everything settled. Who knows - they may have wrecked our place by then, and we'll have some fixing to do...... we'll see. I just want our home back.......

Sure hope you're taking pictures and videos Susan .. these people are 'wing nuts' !

Could I use a pork shoulder roast ? I usually cook them with mushroom soup and onion soup mix, very good .. like Sharon says, get a good dose of sodium ..

Busy day, not very productive for me .. did get laundry done and folded and put away .. Lorna mulched the leaves on 3 acres and I sat and watched her, holding a Kleenex .. finally just came in ..
DH is now home, we have matching colds ..
Upcoming week is filled with appts for him and Lorna and Zoey .. her ears are really bugging her, well,one ear .. so, best have it looked at ..

So cool that you have been to Brownwood Acres :-) We had such a good time there .. I think we went twice .. I bought a ceramic owl wind chime .. lasted about 6 years until a BIG wind caught it and broke it ..

I found out today that one of my close friends broke her arm yesterday. She tripped coming in to either Lowes or Hone Depot, not sure which one. She spent 5 hours in the emergency room. She goes to see the ortho guy at 5 tomorrow. Anyway, I made a double batch of tatortot casserole and shared half with them. I made 3 loaves of pumpkin bread and took them a loaf of that. Took them a loaf of the delicious Publix bread, Italian 5 grain, and made them 4 deviled eggs. At least they won't have to worry about a meal tonight.

I had all sorts of cleaning plans today but spent most of it cooking in the kitchen!

Tomorrow morning I see the dermatologist about my poor cracked hands. They've been messed up all summer and I can't take it any more. Then after that I see the chiropractor. Who knows what the remainder of my day will hold!

Betty your new tableclothes look great! Isn't it amazing what a freshness a little thing like that makes?! Craft room looks awesome, looks like someone will be getting mittens this year!

M, sorry you and DH are both feeling down as well as Lorna. Hope tomorrow makes a change for the better!

Horrid situation Susan..I thought originally you had a full basement apartment, but saying you had no table and now that you say you can't even have Christmas , that is beyond belief..I think you will get your place back in shambles..terrible situation

Mom called this afternoon, she was in emerge all day, has a blood clot, she will have to go every day for 21 days for a needle.

Rita enjoyed her supper, made 4 TV containers for freezer and supper for tomorrow night,

Have a friend coming for coffee tomorrow at 9am, glad Rita brought some Danish, saves me making muffins in the a.m.

I don't know what's going on with my hands. That's why I'm going to the dermatologist to find out. Jordankittyjo thinks he will give me steroids to heal them up. I'm not looking forward to that! I'll be stuffing my face constantly!!

Yeah, I expect it will be in a shambles..... they don't keep it nice to begin with.
Trying to figure out how I can get someone to come in with me, to do a walk-through for how it is now, so I can do a comparative later, when they are finally out.
Bob, today after Marcel's outburst, said "that tears it - they're getting their notice at the end of this month." I said "DUH - that was happening anyway", but bob was feeling less angry than he was today. Today he said it was all he could do to hold himself back from decking Marcel. Carolyn was nowhere in sight. Just Marcel, ranting and raving.
He's a nut job, for sure!

We're all looking forward to our March celebration - us, Susan, Margaret & Doug. Margaret was saying that March is almost Easter lol but we're not waiting that long, because Susan's coming to visit for my birthday, March 11th. lol

I wish we had a decent flea market or thrift shop here. We have no thrift shops, and the one flea market has mostly new stuff, and more expensive that the malls in San Antonio! New Nike shoes, rayban sunglasses...

Booked the hotel we always stay at, no rooms for nov13th-2nts so booked a suite,called this a.m re late arrival, she said we'd have to show our AARP for discount, we don't have such a card, you would know we are seniors just by looking at us lol but no, no sr discount for Canadians Sooo will look for another hotel, matter of principal and we always stay there

That is not very nice of them. I would call and remind them of all the times you have stayed with them.

Barb hits are so seldom that if they get one it's cause for great celebration and all get medals....... For defeating the enemy.

Got a room at Best Western Summit hotel, cancelled other, she went on to say that regulations are regulations, just lost us and you know how often we go over, well maybe not so much this past year.

Mom's spot at the hospital for blood clot needle is 1:30, told her to ask if she can be active as she normally is or should be resting

I did my own shots at home. Was rather simple to do. Perhaps she is afraid to do so or have someone do it for her.

The blood levels need monitored also, so is probably best they do go there.

Betty it was when I was in wheelchair and couldn't walk. I still did PT and everything and swimming pool. They wanted me to exercise. I couldn't fly or any long sitting or travel in car at the time.

I always thought when you had a blood clot you were very limited to exercise.
Thought she would have called by now, I will wait a tad then call her

Betty I gave Warren his shots and he was encouraged to keep his regular routine. Now he was pretty much recliner/bed ridden then.

Have Streak and Sassy back home after their new hairdo. They had such bad knots I needed a second pair of hands to give them a shave at home. Dr Heather is back so both cats and I are happy campers tonight.

Voted too Betty. The polling station was the busiest I have ever seen. Glad to see people were exercising their right to vote.Lots of young people there, which is good.

M how was today - still on an emotional roller coaster I bet? You gave Smokey a great loving home.

Need to see what's in the fridge that I would interest me for dinner. I have a bone chip that is coming out on the side of the gum . It is very painful - actually more than when I had them all pulled. I might have to break down and take a pain killer.

This week is a 'pedal to the metal week' .. gone before 8 this morning .. DH had a regular GP apt ..
Then home to put the lawn furniture away ..
Tomorrow we'll be gone by 7:15am for an 8:10 apt with the surgeon who will be doing both his hands (carpal tunnel) .. been waiting 5 months, and DH just wants it over ..hopefully we'll leave with an OR date .. it's day surgery.
The afternoon we take Zoey in re her ear..
Wednesday an eyes apt for DH ..
Thursday .. I plan to STAY IN BED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (ya right)

It was 72F here today, just a stellar day .. still have the windows open, but, I hear this is a short lived surprise .. back to cool tomorrow ..

Thanks Dianne. The viewing was this afternoon, and the memorial service is in the morning. Both of the boys are doing pretty good considering.
