I'm still up too Betty. No sleep for me tonight.
Streak and Sassy are inside cats for that very reason Betty. The fisher is often lurking in an area not too far from here. A farmer down the township road found 1 in his hen house the other day. No eggs from him for awhile.
The thing about the craft shows is you need to have something new as 90 % of the people coming through go to several a year and have done so for years. There are only so many ways to invent the wheel. Does the porcelain doll lady still come?
Sending positive thoughts for Missy.

Still no Missy..so no sleep here as well
she goes out for strolls, usually inside cat, no way you can keep her in..she was just a few months old when dumped into a dumpster along with her siblings and lived for a time in the roadside culvert..outside is in her blood...try my best but..grrrr
Don't remember seeing the porcelain doll maker but remember the lady that hand crafts dolls, almost like the cabbage patch dolls, each one unique and expensive.
Stained glass vendor in 2nd building, nice wares but I never see buyers, maybe she gets commissions.
We always did very well in Meaford but our emphasis was on wildlife. We could never do enough larger loons, herons and different types of ducks. We also did almost all of our larger work in circles rather than a rectangle or squares. That drew people because it didn't matter the size or shape of the window you wanted to hang it in.
The porcelain doll lady might have retired. She was always in the arena near the big doors - just down from me. I know her husband had retired from his job and was not well.
Missy get home. Does the sound of a spoon on a can of food attract her? We had 1 cat who was a devil to get in. The spoon on the can was a sure fire way to get him.
Wildlife seems to be what attracts people in all crafts..the craft barn here has old snowshoes with the inner section done in stained glass, loons, wolves,bears..beautiful
I'm a happy and no so happy camper
Just got up again with my Tupperware container shaking the dickens out of it again, don't know how many times I did it inside/outside throughout the night, if neighbors were to see me they'd think I've gone zonko...came in and tripped over Missy..now I checked under bed, on beds, chairs, couches, opened closet door to see if I locked her in it so where she was hiding I don't know...know I will not sleep, might as well get up
Betty and Diane, I hope you both get a good nap today. Missy being a little stinker... they sure can hide.
I slept better last night than I have since the fire, think exhaustion finally took over.
Nice to see you pop in Debbie :)
I'm off to get some sewing in before work.
Y'all have a great day :)
Morning everyone. Looks like several of you were up all night.
I am glad Missy is OK.little stinker.
Debbie, I pray the shots work for her. I know the pain she is going through, and it is not fun. If they haven't already, make them do an mri so they know what they are treating.
Oh Betty I so understand your frustration with Missy. She'll be all rested and you will be dragging around. But the relief must have been sweet. Cricket the cat we had before S and S was a little devil for doing that, One summer night I couldn't get him to come in and about 2 am there was a terrible shriek out in the bushes. I said to Warren you know Cricket won't be coming home alive. About 3 hours later I went to the bathroom and there was Cricket in the shower. He loved water and liked to sleep in the shower behind the curtain.
Good to see you Thunder. I think about you every day when I see your Kitchen Angel. Glad to read you finally got some sleep. How are things moving along for your son and his family?
Debbie I hope you can get some rest today.. Wishing you a calm day.... oops silly me I am talking about your house.
How many days left before your surgery LK? I bet you are counting the hours.
Dianne
Good morning.
Today is going to be a quiet, busy kind of day.
Like Dianne, going to channel mom. Hoping to have a nice fire tonight.
Will send up prayers for all.
Today is the 15 years since Mumma is gone, I miss her so very much.
Off to pack for the weekend. Going to Montello with our Good friends Pamm and Joe.
They are the couple who, Thank God survived Cancer this passed year.
We have only seen them a couple times since they were so ill, but have kept in constant touch via phone.
The wedding is May/2016...We are gathering on the 10th to go over details.
Awe thanks about Jake, lol I agree he is quite handsome. No, he is not working at this time.
His goal has been searching for a truck/camper. He wants to start a Food truck.
I did suggest he gets a job, to save for this truck, grins he continues his search.
OH goodness Betty, sure hope Missy comes out of hiding. Didn't she disappear last winter too?...Wanted to say yesterday, WOW, I LOVE that winter hanging basket, great project!!
M, I was delighted to see Lorna won in her landscape? Well I sure hope all goes well with all the tests. sorry they took forever with results.
Susan, so sorry for your loss, Sister. I was glad you were able to get there. Well, for the predicament that continues to torment you, I continue to pray something good happens.
Debbie, Sure hope you get some good rest in. I was sorry to hear of your loss too.
And it is really good to see you post, I worry about you all the time.
Waiving Hi Sunshine, I was so thrilled to see you went to visit Betty. Yep big happy smiles at your first sewing project. Awe sure Sherry gets to feeling better.
OMG, how fun you had Monarchs!! It was great to see your posts on how they were and being able to release them. Awe, you reminded of Deborah,(Gorgia Peach!, she always had Butterfly cages too.
Linda Kay, How are you doing? I know waiting for surgery date which I sure hope come sooner for you. I was so sorry to hear about your SIL, will keep her in prayers as well.
Thunder, My goodness...I was praying so hard for your Family. So very sorry that fire destroyed their home, but So very thankful they got out. I hope Meg is well on her way to healing. What a horrible way for your granddaughters to learn of loss. I hope they are getting settled in the new place. I hope you and Dave are doing good, I know its hard to run back and forth, but I was glad you were able to be with them.
Well I got off to sewing yesterday and so thrilled with the outcome.
LOL...What did I learn?
Working the piece slow and methodical works so much better and takes the same amount of time as working in a rush and having to re-do, tear out and etc.
Not to mention the piece, for me is near perfect...
I got some material at the little store in Montello, this weekend I will show her, she's always asking what i'm working on now.
OHHH, and By the the way, Betty, I sure wish I was better at knitting, That neck scarf would make awesome gifts!! It's just beautiful.
OMG, Well...I am showing one of 4 blocks I did-for the snowflake swap. Hahagh, yep I am really proud that it turned out so well! I done think I've graduated to better quilter!!
(that is not the center piece, because it's going to someone here) Oh and the back, like embroidery should be as nice as the front, big cheesy smile- it is!
Oh...Steve off to the dr.. His problem is over but he had the apt, so going anyway.
He had the runs off and on for 3 weeks, lost 15 pounds!
ok need coffee and get packing...
Enjoy this weather.
edited to say oops, same photo! oh well

Judy, I love those quilt blocks.
No surgery date yet. I see the surgeon on the 26th. Hopefully sooner if someone cancels.
Judy I love the block too. Mind if I copy it for a QOV block?
LindaKay, they did the MRI first. Showed nothing but thinning in the meniscus a bit, which is not where the pain is. They think her fall pull scar tissue...that was attached to some nerves and did damage. Also has inflammation in the sacrial (sp?) in back...sacrialitus? The other issue is called CRPS - Complex Regional Pain Syndrome.
Right now, I am on a heating pad and sipping tea and honey. Back spasms have moved in from driving so much and not being able to move the muscles. Doc put me on steroids...God help everyone!!
Thanks! You can find it in the Quilters cache=Blocks Galore This one is called Old Snowflake.
If you want I can give you the adjusted measurements, with theirs it turns out to an exact 12 inch finished and you have to use the Scant instead of 1/4...yep enough to drive one crazy!
And this one they have you paper piecing the corners, I do not paper piece.
lol drives my insane so I figured out the cutting without it.
And the second thing I learned= It is all in the cutting, roflol only took 10 years to click!
Judy you have indeed come a long way..I love your snowflake blocks. Thunder let me know the package I mailed via Joyce arrived so a, sure some of my snowflakes should make their way to homes today or if not by Monday I'm sure. Enjoy the cottage, soon time to close it for the winter..
Yikes Debbie, sciatica has been giving me and Joyce the what for, not fun for sure..nice to see you are relaxing today..think I asked, is Paul back to work since he had surgery?
Dianne, Riley was the one who loved to come slap water when I was having a bath, Missy hates water..likely the only place I didn't look during the night was the tub..after worrying so much bet you wanted to thrilled Cricket
Thunder, was quite the scare for you, am sure you were living on nerves..glad to see you had a good nights rest.
Invent stopped all morning, making chicken noodle soup, had a chicken sandwhich, got all the scraps Joyce, sherry and Kathy left and just scrapping up enough to make myself a purse like theirs, should be done by the time my 3pm perm time comes..
Still in g
Yes, Paul has been back to work since 2 weeks after the surgery.
Popping in for a quick HIYA ..
All here is A OK .. that darned Smokey has made a miraculous recovery .. well .. he's just feeling a bit better and he's eating and drinking .. his breathing still concerns me.
to all with health issues, or family with same, my whole hearted hugs and prayers ..
Fridays are typically 'my day off' .. DH goes out with his cronies, Lorna goes to work .. and I am left to my own devices .. today it has been hanging out laundry (my left arm hates me) , I cut the grass (my right wrist hates me) .. ran the dogs with their 'chuck it ball' .. my complete body hates me LoL
Time for a CALGON moment, albeit no tub, just a shower .. haven't had a bath in a bathtub since 2007 !!!
TGIF ... .
~M~
Well it's friday night, great night for fish and chips "M"
Talk about a catch.... Good looking fella!
Well Joyce if you are lurking (know you are busy and leaving for Nashville for the week) I thank the 3 of you for leaving the your leftovers..with a few extra seams I managed to make a bag like yours..love it, small but spacious with all the pockets..so, tell Sherry and Kathy I appreciate it..now everytime I use it I will think of our crafting days. Lol
Enough fabric to make it reversable
Thank you, Judy - not a day goes by when I don't think about my sister Alice...
Nice fish "M". I agree he nice eye candy!
Betty, that bag came out nice.
Oh man M my very favourite fish to eat. Hope you get more than a picture ... at least a wee taste.
Haven't napped yet holding off .. how about you Betty? Hope this means we will sleep tonight.
I am so tired I fibbed ... I did have about a 45 min nap early this morning. Hanging my head in shame!! lol
When I left the hairdressers' she asked where I was off to now that I had hair permed, cut and styled..somewhere exciting seeing it's Friday night
Yep real exciting, bed ill go, doubt I'll make 7pm.
missy went out as I came in, actually cold out to I've another hour or so then she will want in, at least I hope.
Joanne, hairdresser told me that a coyote carried off a dog yesterday, owner watched it all and couldn't stop it.
Warming up my soup, couple bowls then piece of cherry pie and that will be about it.
You deserve 45 minutes of sleep Dianne, wonder if we'll get to chat tonight??
I sure hope we both get some sleep but it was lovely to have company last night as I wiled away the hours.
Its cold here - enough to warrant a fire if I wasn't so lazy.
Hope the weather cooperates with you closing the cottage Judy.
Sleep, the eternal evasive commodity some of us seem to have trouble finding and KEEPING ...
I usually just stay in bed when the pain in my arm wakens me .. if I get up .. 3 little white tails accompany me wherever I go .. then they want out, and, inevitably they start to bark, then DH stumbles to the door to find out what's up .. so .. stay in bed I di, and RE POSITION as much as possible ..
Putting a pizza in the oven .. best get at'er
~M~
Missy wasn't happy when I picked her up and brought her in but I feel better.
Just looking outside you want to put the fireplace on and cuddle up..it's the wind
Guess I'd best find some heavy clothes for tomorrow, can be cold near the bay.
Guess "M" if you are up the troops think they have to get up and at it.
So trying to do something so I wake up or else I'll be up half the night..bought a patter last weekend called 'witche's brew'. Thought I might open it up and see what exactly I need to do it..lovely fabric shop in Meaford..lady who owned it passed away last fall, the woman who had her wool shop in it bought the business..I'll bring the neck scarf pattern Karen sent me and buy wood while I see if there is anything unusual I don't have to do the witch.
Dianne, hope you are sound asleep
Kudos to all night movies
Happy, happy birthday day "M". May it be a glorious sunshine day for you..hope the furries spoil you!
Just getting myself ready for Meaford Applefest and craft show
Leaving at 7:30 and meeting up in Elmvale
Gives me a few minutes to sit and enjoy coffee
Hope you are doing something fun today

Windy night, indeed.
Not able to sleep, so documenting stuff re: Marcel & Carolyn, for court case.
Happy Birthday, Marilynne!!!!!!!
Happy Birthday "M". Hope it is the best ever. Celebrate!!!!
Thank you for the birthday wishes .. and .. I am sure it is going to be a fun and gloriously sunny day ..
DH gave me a gift certificate to one of the larger greenhouses that also sells outrageously beautiful clothing and .. CROCS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I need a new pair of fuzzy warm crocs .. :-)
BBL ..
~M~
Bob brought me home some crocs.... unworn, found them at work, left behind by a former employee. 2 sizes too big lol
I don't like crocs........ I know, I know - great for the garden. I just don't like 'em :-/
Wow - a gift cert to a Garden Center!! wow oh wow!! Lucky lady :-)
Happy Birthday, M!!! Wishing you a wonderful day!!
Happy birthday Marilyn
"M", Happy happy birthday. Have fun shopping.
M have a super day. Happy, happy Birthday!Special meal planned?
I had a pair of the warm fuzzy crocs but they were too big for me Put 2 pairs o work socks on and I still slipped around in them.. As Warren found it harder and harder to get shoes on and he was always cold these slipper crocs were perfect for him.
I did fall asleep Betty but it wasn't until Fallon was over. I am also very worried about Diesel so think that is also weighing on my mind. He has reinjured his back right leg and I think he has torn the cruciate completely. I've been coddling him along and he was good and strong the last several months. He is just moving when he has to go out - he quite likes being plastered all over me either in the recliner or on the bed.True Rottie always hungry no
matter what. Not 1 whimper of pain although you can tell from his face he hurts. I started yesterday giving him something for the pain.I will try and get a quick trip to the vet on Monday if I can find someone to help me lift him into the truck. My vet who is a friend is still out on stress leave and her business is going down fast. She has only been able to get temp vets to fill in but just last week hired a SYT so hope Dr Jen will work out.
Wishing I was at Meaford Betty as a visitor. The vibe at that show is so good and so fun.
Deb when will you know about your job? It is so hard to work with that hanging over your head. Sending positive thoughts.
Sunny but very windy and it is a cold wind. I caved and turned the furnace on this morning - it was only 55*F in here. Guess it is time to get out the flannel sheets. I have to check but I don't think I have ever had a fire before Thanksgiving before ... that's next weekend.
Enjoy your day everyone.
Dianne
have a happy birthday, m!
