Hmmm be leery of that fix Betty. I thought only remedy was to replace the window.

Apparently it's quite successful, inquired at builders, Huronia glass etc

What they do is drill a hole, air is sucked out then window revealed

About $1500 to replace the window, about $150 to try this method..big sigh

Even thought of replacing it with patio door, extending front deck over by 8 ft, front being circular
Angle but I've decks galore, back bedroom, back entrance, front entrance and all with furniture on them

If patio doors, savings from window might be enough to pay for deck

I've had the double pane windows repaired and it works just fine, have never had another problem with the one that was done. Our problem was that the frame was too tight and tried to force the window to lock but broke the seal...

omg - someone in our Park is saying if the rental doesn't go through for Jennifer to rent our place, there is a "plan b" - she knows someone who's transferring from Ontario to Calgary, and wanting to rent or BUY here in Midfield Park. They were devastated when they saw a home being demolished and want to FIGHT for Midfield.. That would be awesome - we'd be out of it, and we'd have some $$ in the bank......... omg....... my emotions are all over the place.
Hoping that Jennifer rents, feeling sad about my sister Alice, and getting ready to pack & move ourselves........

Betty when we had replacement windows installed, ours were lifetime guaranteed against breakage and leaks. I have had 2 windows replaced from rocks being thrown by the weed eaters. And all they charged was labor to put the window in. About $50. I will tell Mom what you said, thanks.

Dropped in to quilt shop, met up with a quilt teacher I had years ado, nice visit with her

Just ate my Chinese food, tired as can be..won't be a late night as I want to take winter enclosure off back deck,see what needs to be done to repair smaller pond, bring the chairs/table from back yard to driveways and wash so a good nights rest would be good

Did get 10 dozen dog 'cookies' made .. time consuming, but, make me feel better
Have attached a pic of one of the cookie sheets full .. pups do so love them

On the front deck I had a little water feature, have had it for years, out of laziness I did not take water out, froze and cracked..tried to fix but still leaked

Before going into town I took measurements, thrilled I found one, 3" taller but that's ok

Do love hearing sound of water movement, just need to buy a bag or two of stones

Got it going now I'm looking for my bed

Not tired just sore

Maybe I can find a good movie on, do crosswords, exciting Friday night right?

Thank you, Marilynne & Betty - yeah, lots to contend with, and my knees are NOT co-operating. My right knee feels like I've torn the meniscus on it as well. I have a feeling that a week after I fell in January that it was the walk a week after that "did me in". I was sure I was on the mend, but seems I did more damage by trying to exercise on it....

It's a beautiful morning here as well

Was up early, did another load of Christmas flannel, from time to time I'll cut them into squares but am working on the back deck, one more side and winter coverings off then pulling nails out of wood and store for next year

Started from time to time to time to bring the plastic chairs/table to the drive, bought 3 gallons of javex to clean them up..never go back and sit in that area,back40 so it's just for looks, all my other sets are mental with pads

By noon I should be finished the major projects I put on my to do list

Smiling from ear to ear, gaining ground

Yesterday I bought new cover for bbq, another cover for patio set, going to use the back patio cover I bought to cover these, only meant if I have a crowd, will save a lot of washing

Last time I was in USA I bought weed killer, sprayed between all the back patio stones,

hopefully it will keep the weeds fron growing

Tomorrow morning I will go back to walmart and buy another for back patio



Other than washing down the house and cleaning eaves which is suppose to be Mother's Day to do for the boys nest weekend but I'm so enjoying this putting around and it's going so well wo knows what I might get done

You gotta save them something to do Betty.

Betty, I don;'t mind the packages coming. Shane was home when that one arrived, I didn't even know it was here for several days!!! Thus, no picture and the chaos that was going on also.

I am just drained. Will be seeing doc tomorrow or Monday as i have done something to my hand, and it isn't getting any better.

Then, went to get my tablet which has been on my shelf on computer desk. Opened it up, and it is shattered!!! I haven't used it in several weeks...it was fine then. No idea how this happened, and no one else uses it....they have their own. It is an Asus and so nice, DH got for me at Christmas....I can see to read and everything. Just sick.
