"Neither one of us is in the Antelope Valley, LK. I was looking through my application again from the city, they sure get you to have lots of documentation to prove you own the property. I better start gathering up what I need so I can be approved and put on the waiting list. They even send out a company to make sure there is no lead in your home before they will even start. Wish we had a program like you did Synda, I could use a lot more than they give out, but this program is for seniors only so guess they wouldn't require you to live that long in one place. I'm glad there are a lot of places that will help out the seniors.

I picked up the 8th book, "Written In My Own Heart's Blood", 800 plus pages and small print. If I can't read it in 3 weeks I'll have to renew it or be put on the waiting list again. So glad we can borrow books as the list price is $35.00.

WOW we got surprised by some rain during the night :) Now I don't have to water the gardens, plus we may get more tomorrow. If I would of still been living in Marysville I would of gotten lots of rain along with Lightening and Thunder storms.

Finally got all of mom's bowling stuff taken care of. Now all have left to do is fill candy and nut cups. My mom spend too much of her own money to please these people. But in the past they have taken up a collection along with a nice card and presented it to her at the banquet. Not too sure if it's going to happen this year as the lady that always did it did not bowl this year. So we will see what happens come next Tuesday.

We go to visit my Bro tomorrow then picking up 3 Rhode Island red hens :) Fresh eggs yum yum :) So I have to get chicken feed and straw for their nests today.

Water softener system is installed .He said it will take a few weeks for the lines to clear up totally and possibly up to a couple months hot water tank to be in full effect .When I paid the bill :( (bye bye money).........he handed me the manual ,the warranty ,the receipt and a brand new Bible !The company is called Ark Water Systems .I always thought Ark ,because of water ,not because of religion .I thought that ,that was really cool !! Some people may be offended or even rude but I thought it was Wonderful and Thanked him very much !

Yah, Synda is proud owner of a water softener system! So hard to save those 20's and they disappear so fast. Great company to hand out a brand new bible, I would think it was wonderful also.

Cindy is getting rain, but I'm still waiting for some. This is the 4th day of gloom, looking like it will rain but never does. I see my son is preparing part of my raised bed for planting. Not much in veggies this year as a little too much work for me now. I still plan on flowers and I'm so thrilled that we are having a gardening round up and one of the gals has a plant for me that I've been wanting. It isn't until May 16th, but that gives me time to see if I have any plants to share. They are determined to get me back into gardening again. We are getting the cooler weather that goes with our winters, a little late.

Sure hope you get some rain soon! Have fun at your round up.

Got home awhile ago, from my training for Elections Alberta - election day is May 5th.
I'll be a Poll Clerk, working from 8am to 8pm. I'll hand out the ballots, take same back in, and count them during the day. Training = $60, and Election day = $200. Not bad for $$ that I won't get taxed for, because I don't make any other kinds of $$ except for my early pension each month.....

Savannah has 6 little friends over. Girls are so loud ! LOL .
Feed them spagettie and have brownies for dessert.
Austin's party will be saturday. He has two friends and Tim will take them to a game place. Then out to dinner. I will head over to Tom's after.
Cindy i sure miss having chickens. They sure love strawberries and banana's. Well mine did lol

Rick is so Wonderful ! Worked 151/2 hrs and still stopped and bought me 3 Boston Ferns for the front porch ! Now for it to get warm enough to repot them and hang between pillars !

A good tech could probably get them for you. It's said nothing ever really goes away, it's in there somewhere.

I have all my important things on an external hard drive ,just for that very reason .That way I can take my pictures or other things to a different computer .Just plug in to the a USB port .

So sorry Kathy. I hope you have a good computer guy that can get them back for you.

I have an external hard drive and never learned how to use it. I'm always afraid I'll really mess something up. I changed over from google chrome to firefox and I don't seem to have issues I had before. Chrome wasn't going to support the java platform any more and of course I need that in order to play my pogo games.

I guess a few drops of rain fell, but I laid down to take a short nap and there was wet spots on the driveway. I'm hoping that isn't the end of it. Very windy out, but sun does shine through once in a while.

So far the Pogo games I play are working fine on Chrome. I hate to go back to Firefox.. I seemed to have so much trouble there. I guess if it comes to it, I can use Firefox for Pogo and Chrome for the rest.

I don't like FireFox...... I use Comodo Dragon for most things, except for email & banking, and use Chrome for those.

We went to Bob's bowling banquet last night and had a good time. It was Pizza and Chicken wings. He didn't have that - had onion soup instead (Whisky French Onion Soup). After just getting over the flu, he thought it best to have something that didn't involve acid (tomatoes) and fat (cheese) on a delicate tummy.
After the meal, they called people up to choose their own prizes and Bob & I agreed on a Cuisinart Frozen Yogurt - Ice Cream & Sorbet Maker.
It can make 2 of 1 1/2 quarts of a frozen treat. Didn't really think to add more "stuff" to our household when we're planning on moving, but....... oh well LOL

Good Morning Ladies,

We have 4 Rhode Island Red hens. I for sure have to build a bigger yard for them to roam. Got one fresh egg so far this morning. LOL mom is acting like a Mother Hen constantly checking on them yesterday and is now out there checking to see if a hen is still on the nest. So tomorrow I will be figuring out a bigger yard or a chunnel, so they can roam through my garden and eat the bugs that are eating my Kale grrrrrrrrrr lol

Meeting up with my good friends Cathy and Karie (the gals that helped me moved) and we are going to PARTY today at Swabbie's. Plus I will be seeing my new guy pal Ron, lol. He's been flirting with me big time on FB and sending me messages.....counting the hours until he can hug me, lol. He's usually pretty quite on FB but the last couple of days he's been posting things about being happy, hmmmmmm???? So if there are any pics taken today I will post them.

NO rain, but today the sun came out and I feel like playing in the dirt. Did plant one tomato plant and one eggplant early this AM and now I'm ready to play again. Hope I can last longer out there this time. My Mandy thinks it is great that I stay out in back with her. She is afraid I'm going somewhere without her again. I've sure got her spoiled.

I need Prayers for a friend big time .He (Mike Trushel) got burned real bad (3rd degree) on his leg and foot and my lose his leg .Infection has set into the bone ,they have him on MEGA antibiotics .But only time will tell .I Pray that the antibiotics kick in and do their job ,then all he'll need is skin graphs ! He is the one that came and dug up our well for free when we needed help last year .He owns an excavating company and was working on a piece of equipment when his pants and boots caught fire .
