Make sure you hide the keys. My grandmother was told she was not to drive, because of her eyes. She found the keys and went for a drive, and wrecked grandpa's truck.

Well thing is she can see good on sunny days. Rain and night time a no no. She is too much of a chicken, lol. And really doesn't like driving anymore so no worries. Her day time bowling is over, so she really doesn't have anywhere to go. We will be bowling summer league on Tuesday and Wed. nights so I'll be doing the driving. So now weekends are mine!!! My daughter is off on weekends and can be here with mom when I want to get away :) I remember my mom driving grandma's car all the time when I was young. MY grandma didn't really drive much at now that I think about it.

Kathy, so very sorry to hear the sad news on your DD. Prayers being said for her, had a flashback of when my son passed and it is the worst time in your life. I too hope she finds the Lord.

Cindy, your gardens are great. You really have a green thumb, I like the way you divided the kale from the asparagus bed. My mom was 92 when she decided she wasn't going to drive any more. She was a good driver and I always felt safe with her. She didn't want to be the cause of any accidents so said, "I quit". She told me she got her license in the mail for 35 cents and didn't know how to back up for a long time afterward.

I escaped 3 near head on collisions tonight. Yep, going and returning from church. And again, I wasn't afraid, ready to meet Jesus if He called me home, but it isn't my time.

........ I was speaking to my sister Alice tonight, around dinnertime, and she told me she's Palliative re:her lung cancer....... has home care for both of them because he has it tool He has a pic line so gets chemo 24/7, and she has a "pore" in her tummy to give herself a needle every day.
They give her 3 to 6 months to live.......
To say I'm shaken up is mild........ I'm devastated.....
Please pray with me, for her, and her hubby Glen........

People have been telling me I should be celebrating her life, the fact that she's had lung cancer for 14 years and has been surviving, and the fact she & her hubby have spent 56 years together.....
This doesn't help........ I am so sad - she's in Winnipeg, and I'm here, unable to share some hugs. I miss my big sister

It's advance poll day today - I'm a Poll Clerk on Tuesday, so can't vote then.
I get paid in about 2 weeks after I work at the polls. 8am to 8pm + training day = $260 :-)

omg - someone in our Park is saying if the rental doesn't go through for Jennifer to rent our place, there is a "plan b" - she knows someone who's transferring from Ontario to Calgary, and wanting to rent or BUY here in Midfield Park. They were devastated when they saw a home being demolished and want to FIGHT for Midfield.. That would be awesome - we'd be out of it, and we'd have some $$ in the bank......... omg....... my emotions are all over the place.
Hoping that Jennifer rents, feeling sad about my sister Alice, and getting ready to pack & move ourselves........
and if we SELL this place, we'd actually be ahead of the game............!!
