((((((Sue)))))) so sorry you are having problems with Tom.

Oh Synda - how very scary for Mike and his family & friends! I pray that the antibiotics do indeed kick in and he only needs grafting.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sue, what happened? You two sounded so happy.

Synda, sorry to hear of your friend. Sending prayers!

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Good Morning Ladies,

Today is going to be a busy day. I have to make a bigger yard for the hens and adding more roosting area for the hens. That little coop we got is just not big enough for these girls, lol. I'm becoming a carpenter, lol. Thank GOD I had a hubby that taught me a lot of things.

I didn't get to see my guy friend Ron :( He had some personal issues pop up, but still had a great time with my friends. A couple of months ago I found a child hood friend on FB that I had not seen in over 50 years. So I invited her to Swabbie's so I could see her. She had never been there and really enjoyed herself. Plus saw a few other friends and of course ex friend Sheri was there avoided her like the plague, lol

Glad to hear you had a good time.

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Great article Susan! Sending prayers for your friend Mike,Synda. Do hope the antibiotics solve the problem. Aww Sue, sorry about you & Tom. It did sound like you two were so happy.

Going to play in the dirt a little today since the sun is out and temp. supposed to be in the 80's. I have lots of baby plants to pot up so I better get it done. Have to take a couple books back to the library, but that can wait until tomorrow.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

A veteran of 40 years of moving, of course, you want some permanent roots now, Susan.
Hugs sister, hoping with the article, something can be done more towards your advantage. Hopefully a job offer.

Hello sisters.

Sue.. I am truly sorry to read that Tom isn't wanted in your life, now. Is it the distance?
Hugs sister.

Great to read of your new found freedom Cindy. Freedom to do what you want with friends, errr.. chickens.. plants.. :D Lolol.
No more pushing a lazy ex boyfriend, You do as pleased.

Prayers said for Mike, Synda. Poor guy. He is very fortunate that he survived.

Sis Kathy, a geek can recover your pictures, even videos. You just don't have any luck in pc! When you get a new one, ask the preacher to bless it!

Rains here Pegi. When it stops, the mosquitoes decide to forage on my skin!

No Chrome nor Firefox here. What isn't broken, I shan't replace and yes, still on Windows 7 for both. His laptop came with 8 but he had it reverted back to 7.

Waving to Barb, Karen~~~

I have been busy on the road. Back and forth to church and this week, revival for the full 5 days. Looking forward to that.
Some churches do it for 3 days, and Kel's dad's church had it for only 2 Sundays!
I need revival to rejuvenate my spiritual growth.

When the rains stop, like right now.. I'll be out there cutting back on briars and weedeating.
I know it's an impossible feat to clear the garden and pick up all the limbs scattered, but at least I had managed to rescue some sought after daylilies.
May not recall their names, but I'll just have to rename them after my sisters here!!

Oh.. as for the jelly roll.. it's staged, waiting on rotary cutter!! Lol. Pssst. LK.. Barb./ I need your mojo!!
Anyway, I don't play any games online.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Permanent roots are not in the cards for me, I'm sure - I'm moving to yet another rental........

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Jaye, why do you need mojo? For quilting?

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

jusr membered I have a 2 year at home warrenty on the broken computer

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Call and report your problem. If they can't fix it, they will replace it.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

was on the phone with them forever talked to 5 people before the got that the computer would do nothing. the screen is purple and the computer won't do anything. the are sending me a box to ship it to them in.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

YEAH!

Today i spent most my day out in the garden.
Dug up stepping stones on a walk way from porch. laid fabric and will put stepping stones back and finish with pretty colored smaller rocks for a mud free walk way
Tom had some issues and i didn't think i could deal with them. He says he will go to couseling. So we shall wait and see.
Cindy what fun to see an old friend and connect on FB .. looks like you had a blast .
Susan how is the move coming along ?

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

We won't be moving until the end of June, I gather
We're trying to empty the "junk" in our closet so we can actually put clothes in it LOL
and packing winter clothes away in the shed

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

The chicken yard is done!! I love, love, love my grandson Kain he came and helped his ole granny ma put up the fencing and the hens are enjoying the grass and soft tilled dirt lol

I made another water tower and added two little gold fish out of the big pond. Today was the first time I got to see all 3 of them swimming in the tower.

That looks nice. You need to keep their wings clipped, so they don't fly over the top.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

We are going to put fencing over the top. Was too tired after putting all that up.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Looking good farmer Cindy!! Soon you'd be having great tasting eggs.

Sis Kathy, I am glad you are able to get that pc fixed or replaced. Did you have to pay shipping? I hope they reimburse that.

If he's going for counselling, that's a good step. Sue. He's recognising he needs help.
He seems to make you happy most of the time. But having known what you went through, I am sure your patience is running thin. Hugs sister.

Wish I am closer to help you pack Susan! Do you have pictures of your new apartment?

Yes, LK, mojo for quilting.
By the time I am through with the garden, deflea the cats daily, all I want to do is veg.

Revival started tonight, it was semi exciting. The guest speaker is a fire and brimstone.. and I just can't get into it. Maybe it's because I'm so worn out.
But when my pastor started speaking, he got my attention!

Let's keep praying for one another, we all need God's help.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Kathy be sure to put in a BIG note that you have pictures that need saving.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

it's not an apartment, Jaye - it's the whole main floor of a house. There is a tenant in the basement suite.

Not packing yet - moving won't be for 2 months, so we still have to live with what we have (either that, or sell/throw/give away)

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Jaye, I hear ya on too many jobs to do.

Our dogs came home from the kennel last week full of fleas, so we are trying to get rid of them. We have to be careful what we use, as most of the meds make the dogs sick. We found some stuff from Wal Mart, that is supposed to be a natural spray, it smells like cloves, so we are hoping that will work.

Glad to hear you are enjoying the revival.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

I don't have to ay shipping, and they said they would save my pix if possible

I spent the night in the ER night before last How exciting NOT. I haven't caught up on my sleep from that operation yet but I am working on it.. My problems are pale compared the problems in Nepal at the moment.

The tomato starts look great as they should given the mild weather we are having. this is just what I want. Warm days and cool nights. What a shame I can't eat them anymore. Somehow me thinks just one five incher will find my basket.

I had a nice visit with Babs on Sunday. She is like a breath of fresh air gosh I really like her. Don't tell her this as I want it to be surprise.

looks like the 70 degree weather is taking a powder I never remember a spring so warm or so many blooms on the cherry trees. I sure hope we don't get a frost now. My new raspberry plants are starting to grow.

Jordan any tech worth his salt can get your pics back if want to

eweed sorry to hear you were back in the ER.... and not getting sleep. Sounds like a great visit from a friend. Always good to have one of them around :) sending you healing thoughts.
Jaye not a fan of the fire and brinstone ether . Positive is always a better choice. not fear. God is love not fear.
Lk that sucks about the fleas ? . hope the walmart stuff works.
Susan good luck with the packing.
I don't remember being this sick in a long time. Went to grocery to get kids food they can heat in the micro. while i m down .

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Ernie - continuing prayers for you.

Sue - I imagine that your emotions play on you, so that's why you're so sick.... Hope you feel better soon!!

Thanks - I'd better get TO it...... cleaning, clearing........ yadda yadda

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Too hot to even think about playing in the dirt. I may have to garden in the early evening hours.
No taking the books to the library until it cools down either.

The hospice program is going to have an annual "Time to Remember" on May 17th and thought it was something I should go to, but it is on a Sunday and I'll have no transportation that day. There was a short prayer in their monthly newsletter and I think it could apply to so many of our needs.
"A Prayer for the Power to Return from the Depths of Sorrow"
Teach me always to believe in my power to return to life, to
hope, and to You no matter what pains I have endured, no
matter how far I have strayed. Give me the strength to
resurrect my weary spirit. Revive me, so I can embrace
life once more in joy, in passion, in peace. Amen

Just got home a couple of hours ago. Car is unloaded, dealing with where to put stuff, opening the mail..most of it junk..not opened...straight to the trash, laundry sorted out, luggage at least in the proper rooms, only had one bill to deal with now. Speaking of...starting to get my hospital bills. YIKES!! Will be paying my share in monthly bits. Amelia is happy to be back home, didn't take her long to get her toys scattered about again. She never fussed the whole time we were gone about wanting to come home, was never home sick or missing her mommy & daddy. She's a great traveler, happy with her videos or snoozing.
Now waiting to see if we hear anything from house looker. He knows we will be re-listing the first so hope to hear before then.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Glad to hear you has a safe trip Karen. Sounds like if he has looked at it 3 times, he is interested. Sending prayers that he makes an offer.

Well, we had to go buy a new tv today. We had a 50 inch Sony bravia for about 2 years, and it just quit. We called the Sony people, and it only had 1 year warranty, and they wanted twice the amount for repairs, than what a new cost, so it is on the curb for trash, and we bought a we samsung ultra high Def tv. It is really nice. It took Todd about 2 hours to get it all programmed.

glad to hear your safe karen and home.
Synda i m sorry about your friend. My brother had severe burns from lightening strike. I know what your friends pain is from watching my borther.
took cough meds. they are kicking in.
good night

Good Morning Ladies,

I had a great time yesterday with my BFF Bertha. We had mani/pedis together. It was my first time ever having a pedicure. OMG!!! it felt awesome and the massage chair......well let's just say.....I WANT ONE AT HOME, lol. It was almost as good as the massage my friend Cathy gave me. I will be going back to Bertha's this Friday we are going to a Place called the Fountains it's shopping mall but they are holding an outdoor event with vendors of all kinds.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Oh, I love going in for a pedi. I wish I could afford one of those chairs too!

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

I could use a good mani/pedi right about now......
I'm exhausted and haven't been up long........
working on our home, prepping it for a viewing by a potential tenant today, at 2pm...... and it's 8:40am.
Think I'll slip into the hot tub after I do dishes.. mmmmmm that sounds nice right about not - the hot tub, not the dishes (although, my hands would be in hot water!!!!! LOL)

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Oh, the joys of sorting and packing, and trying to get your place ready to show at the same time. I am sure the lady will understand that you are in the process of moving yourself.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

As we have 2 months before we potentially move, I haven't done a lot of packing - more sorting & tossing, and prepping for a sale of my sale-able items for May 9th at the church.
Prepping the home for viewing is more ....... difficult. We "lived" in our home and it showed it - 9 years worth LOL
I'm a stash hoarder, and , and Bob's a "gatherer" of anything that's usable........ now we're tossing and prepping Those items for sale (NOT my fabric stash!!!!!!)

Cindy i love mani and pedi's too. Those massage chairs are wonderful.
still not feeling good.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Mom and I had eye doctor appts today. Not so bad for me but not good at all for mom. Doc said NO MORE DRIVING!!!

I told my daughter she had better be prepared to come spend some weekends with her gram because I am going to need to get away. I'm going to be spending this weekend with my BFF, we are having a yard sale then to a huge flea market Friday night. Saturday more yard sale, then I don't know what we will be doing after that.
