We have a politician coming through the Park today, to talk to us about the Park closing.

I got a call from the woman who's interested in renting our Mobile Home...... she'll be by next Wednesday to look at our home.

What have I learned today........ well, I learned that I need to take painkillers for my knees, but that they make me sleepy........ I keep drifting off..........

There's a politician coming by and doing the rounds in the Park (just before the May 5th election, go figure, eh?), to talk to residents about the Park closing in 2017. Yes, I'll talk to him, just like I talked to the reporter day before yesterday.

I learned that we have a potential tenant coming by next Wed to look at our home. I hope she takes it. We'd be able to move July 1st, I guess. The other tenant won't leave until the end of June, and our tenant needs to give one month's notice.

I've also figured out that I have a LOT of work to do to get this place ready for viewing, and with the painkillers I can do it (as long as I don't fall asleep lol)
Nah - I know there's a lot of work to do....... I have moved "a time or two" lol

I thought with the park closing in a few years it would be hard for you to find someone to rent your place. Are they renting to own, then they can move the trailer when the park closes?

No, this is not a rent-to-own option - the people who want to rent here know that the park is closing, but the homeless rate is terrible, and there are no rent controls so renting out our home is easy.
People are wanting in this area, and when the park closes we'll be in a better position to earn some $$ from the City for the mobile home - they're talking about Possibly Considering paying us more than a rate of $10k per home (having to qualify for even that amount). No one, even the newer and more expensive homes, would get any more than $10 the way the City has been talking about recently.
The lady who wants to look at our home to rent lives in the far north west of the city, works in the center of the city and her son goes to school near where we live so as I said to her friend Tracy "Jen just works and drives, right?" - Tracy said "that's about it". Jen really wants to live in this area.

Confusing keeping all that clear in your head Susan .. good luck .. guess you just have to keep the final goal in mind ..

Sorry to hear Betty is unwell .. I do believe she is going to have to learn how to 'cool her jets' more often .. that'll be a miracle, sure hate to hear she is having a tough time.

Chinese food was so good, nice to have for a treat .. tomorrow is a weird day .. Lorna is treating her Mom to a perm for Mothers Day .. apt at 3pm .. hmmmmmm .. we were supposed to do fish n chips, so, it looks as though it'll be a late supper day for all tomorrow ..
Saturday is turkey .. they need to be in bed early as it's the 4am trip to the airport .Sunday morning. I think I'll sleep for a week !!!! ..

yeah, CM was hard to watch last night....but The new CSI cyber show is pretty scary too...I guess because I see it as more everyday possible on a much larger scale.

Oh boy this crazy weather is making havoc all over isn't it. ! wow. snow in parts, tornado's and Texas is really getting hit ! with hail.
our weather is going to be a very cold brrrr 30 tomorrow .

Last Monday was Bob's Roll Offs for Bowling League and this Saturday is his Bowling Banquet - pizza lol. We're going to a nice restaurant, so obviously it's their pizza - never had it before.
I'm not having to pay the spouse ticket, because I was there for a few weeks, then Bob paid for me for 3 more weeks. I guess I get the bowler's free rate lol I had to quit because of my knees. I wonder if that means I get the "booby prize" for least improved lol

Sending gentle hugs this morning Betty. Sure hope you are up and at em soon. Flu is scary so take as long as it takes to get better. I know, resting isn't your long suit but I know you will do whatever you need to do. Just know that we miss you and look forward to your return.....

I look at Gordon and am happy as he got through his trials with all your thoughts and prayers .. the shingles area still give him grief, but, that will pass .. and .. the area where I had the shingles vaccine is doing much better, just a little itch, redness gone :-)
DH is off to a Sportsmans Show out West in Manitoba .. will be home Monday .. looks as though the weather will hold for them ..(famous last words)

Busy doing things left static the last few days, while I have some time ..

HORROR of HORRORS .. I lost my bank card (debit) today ..went to give it to Lorna, opened my wallet .. GONEZO!!
What a feeling .. so .. I had to travel backwards in my mind, finally ended up thinking about what I was wearing the last time I had it, sure enough, there it was in the pocket of a jacket !!

Just waiting on the guests to arrive for supper .. have discovered hanging the clothes out on the line really bothers my neck :-(
Going for 'that blood test (Quantiferon) on Monday morning .. then I just have the wait for my Immunization update and then the biologic, which is by injection .. ME who deplores shots !!

It must be spring if Judy is opening the cottage. Couldn't prove it by the weather here!!! No temps above 40-45 this week along with grey skies and gloom. Horrible winds as well. I'm so looking forward to July!!! I think......?????

Made another purse this week. I'll try for a picture tomorrow. Did it together with my neighbor upstairs as this made it easier for her to follow along. Not the best instructions unless you have done these before.

wow - losing your debit card is scary..... SO glad you found yours. I never find mine, cuz I leave it in the machine (bank or grocery store) and somehow it never gets returned. I end up getting a replacement.

Betty - yes, when you're alone pls take care not to do stuff like taking stairs!

I got home from my training to be a Poll Clerk for the election on May 5th.
Lots to remember, but I also checked off the box saying I want to be contacted to work should there be any other elections (4 years, 4 months, whenever lol) - whether it's Federal, Municipal, or whatever/whenever.

Good morning! I'm glad that Betty checked in and is coping.

Found out that the Hosta Bus Tour on June 6th will start her at our house....so now I've got sooooo much stuff to do! I'm probably going to be missing some more!

Sue, both of those dates work for me. The gardens in the area are probably prettier in June. Just thought I'd throw that out. Judy, I know you're planning on coming. Are either of those dates better for you? Betty was going to try to come as well, so maybe we should check with her, too.

Got two flats of impatients yesterday for $12.99 a flat. Now to keep them alive until I can plant them!!

M no one wanted to leave LOL . thank goodness. Girls had a wonderful time. They went to play hide and seek out in our feilds... i could hear them all the way to the house ! i have 45 acres ! oh my screams and squeels of girls ... such joy. :)

My dog Jennybear was sick last night. I spent part of the night on a quilt on the ground with her, i was really worried. She is much better today. I found a sticky mouse trop where she was. I think she got to a trap and ate the mouse off of it. Warned Tony to be careful. We have lots of mice and he's been trapping them but Jenny's hobby is opening doors and that may be how she got sick.

It is HOT here. I'm planting citrus trees. Got the blueberry planters done but need more sphagnum moss. Did you all see the Shark Tank program with a substitute for sphagnum moss made of paper and some additives? It's only available in the midwest now but should be a boon.

Got hold of my friend Kramer who lives in San Francisco and he will do his best to be at the Board meeting with me on May 5.

Didn't sleep much last night worrying about Jenny.

I've been working on my writing. Think I have my three minutes for the Board pretty well done. Dana is coming over later to teach me how to make my printer print. I have learned to use wordpad and to attach files to an email.

Am becoming a whiz at the new Lumosity word fluency game. You have to recover vocabulary words rapidly - and type them correctly!

Must go plant another couple of trees.
