I can't believe how much they are bothering me - I really need to lose some weight.............

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Is it cold today, sometime the cool weather or change in weather bother mine.

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

I guess we did get some rain during the night, driveway was wet, but now sun is out and it has warmed up. Skies are clear so guess that we won't be getting any more rain for a while.

I have some Salompas pain patches and decided to see if they would help my back, etc. I've been feeling good so guess I'll be plastering my body with them. My legs don't have that feeling of running a marathon . Took a short trip to the library to pick up a couple books, Wheat Belly for Your Health and a 30 minute cookbook. My sister is trying this paleo diet as many have said it has taken care of some health issues. Don't know if I could stay away from all they say is so bad for you. Losing a few pounds would surely help. Jaye, I am now getting some pins and needles in my feet once in a while, hope it doesn't get worse.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Pegi, go tell your Dr, now, and get it checked out, before it gets worse.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

my trainer gave me a new work out regime. I thought I was going to die. I am exhausted and sore. I should get use to it in a few days I hope.
got church tonite and a funeral tomorrow afternoon. hate funerals.
beautiful warm sunny day here. just dyed my hair, hope it comes out halfway decent.
2 months left till my trip to new York. am getting excited. I can't wait to go.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Good afternoon everyone.

Salonpas is an old ancient Chinese/Japanese secret, besides Tiger Balm (which is an original Singapore product). When I recall late grandma, I'd remember her Salonpas scent or the whiffs of Tiger Balm when she walks by!

Try that Susan.

Why is it things that will kill you taste so good! I'm with LK there Pegi.. go to the doctor. You may be not necessarily a diabetic but it sounds like nerve damage to your feet.
The scary part is most won't feel anything when stepping on sharp objects. Hence the need for you to put on sandals even in the house. Right now, I'm the exact opposite much to my doctor's relief. I'm ultra sensitive and still I protect my feet all the time.
He might prescribe you some Lyrica. Do hope that will work for you.

If you were close by Sue, I'd give my old heavy metal arch to you. It's brought down by Carolina Jessamine and I don't have the wants to prop it back up and fight against CJ again.
Infested with that noxious weed, worse than MG. Sometimes I wish I can just poison the whole garden to get rid of it, and start all over again. But, I don't have the means to do that.

So sis Kathy, are you a redhead? Hehehe.. Crimson Red??

Karen, how are you feeling? Hope you're able to regain your strength and energy.
But, this is the best time to soak up all the attention from your family. They learn to love from the best teachers.. you and Walt.

Brother Ernie, if you're lurking, still praying for your full recuperation.

LK, yes, I'm in a funk today. Worked it out though by weedeating and mind totally focusing on no hiding spots for snakes. Don't like them!!

Church tonight so, I better finish potting the only brugmansia that survive indoors.

Waving to Barb....Cookie.. Marion.. Judy.. Cindy.. LizH.. Texas Angel.. Lizrainey and yes.. Betty.. you too!!

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

We have Tiger Balm, Muscle Mist and Oo Lok oil (it's really stinky, but it works)
It just seems that nothing's working for me today, not even pain killers

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

So! This is the branch that broke during the storm yesterday. Tree guy just left took him 2 minutes tops to cut it up and for no charge!!! He is very reasonable nice young guy from Alaska. He did a super job and clean up afterwards
like emoticon
Now I have some fire wood for my fire pit area. I made all by myself
smile emoticon
So if anybody needs their trees trimmed let know and I can get you in touch with Travis.

Wow, Cindy - that's one BIG branch!!
Now, I don't think Travis would travel to Canada lol

love the pics Cindy.
Susan how are your knee's ? getting better i hope ?
Pegi ouch on the pins and needles i do agree go see a dr and tell her about it.
Jaye so sweet of you. hope the funk gets going soon for you Jaye. No fun.
Kathy my trainer changes my routine also and it kills me each time !
don't have much going on
finished my book John grisham. Gray Mountain. pretty good. I enjoy his books.
good night everyone
sleep well friends

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Used some Oo Lok oil on my knees - still having shooting pains, but they are better - at least I can walk..... not far before I get the pains, but I managed going to WalMart for Bob - he can't lift anything yet, so could not do it.
Between the two of us - me with my knees and him with his ribs - we're hurting units....

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Glad to hear nothing was damaged by that huge limb.

Glad to hear your knees are a bit better.

good morning.
well Tom is coming in for the weekend. Should be here around noon.
I m eating my breakfast , oatmeal 3 egs. whole grain toast and a banana. Power up for my workout. usually i do sausage but i m out :(
susan sorry to hear of the knee's still bothering you. :( sending healing energy to you.
we have a break in the rain but will get some storms in by afternoon.

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

I'm looking out at three inches of snow!!!! Yes - AGAIN!!! Will it never end up here?
I finally got the camera back and posted some photos in sewing
Fighting a sinus infection that doesn't want to quit. The antihistamine knocks me right out and all I want to do is sleep. Hope this one doesn't last too long.

Waving to all and heading back to bed..~~~~~~~~

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sure hope your feeling better soon Barb!

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

I'm sending prayers for all of you. Right in the middle of changing doctors, really hate that. Once I get a new one I will talk to him about pins and needles. I was given some pills a while back if I couldn't sleep from my feet bothering me, but haven't had to use may of them. I wish I could remember how my feet felt before the numbness took over. Never tried the Tiger Balm, but will give it a try.

Feeling good this AM so think I'll do some more yard work.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Hello everyone!!

Arrrgghhh, sorry Barb that you're having snow and it's in the eighties here. Sending warmth and healing thoughts your way dear sister.
Right there with you Barb, hate taking them, mind gets groggy and sleep beckons when taking Benadryl. Sometimes I'd drink some coffee to counter the effects.

Sue, guess you won't be going to Cookie's this weekend!! Lolol.
Enjoy his company sister. Haven't read any Grishams.. but do like the movies based on his novels.

Sis Kathy, you'd develop muscles! When you get to NY, I bet you can't wait to hit the clothing stores!

Cindy, anymore pictures? If you like anymore plants, I can send you some Carolina Jessamine!! Kidding sister.
How are your brugs doing?

Pegi, what you have is nerve damage. Only permanent relief is surgery, where they cut away the damaged nerve. That tingling pain, is much more heightened when I'm laying horizontal. Once my feet are on the floor, the pressure helps in stopping the pain. The minute I move around.. it will return. Another bad thing about this, it just aggravates my balance.

Susan, do you think you might require knee surgery? I've never tried Oo Lok oil, if that helps, good. Perhaps a cold compress may help

LK, are you able to bring some roses indoors? Someone said to put an aspirin in the vase water, and the cut roses will last longer.

Blessings received today!!
Thank you my Texas angel.
I am beyond GRATEFUL. The Kindle is so clean, comes with a cover and charger and even has its own bag. A beautiful quilted sateen bag.. so oriental.. like me!!
Yes, I managed to get it connected to the WIFI and downloaded the ESV bible from Amazon!!
Now I can read in comfort, not straining my eyes at all. Will have to learn how to fully take advantage of its features.
Good part is the bible can be read to me!!! Just lay it on the counter when I'm doing dishes and The Word will be spoken!!

Love and hugs, my Texas angel. I won't disclose who she is unless she chose to do so here. Lord knows my needs, and a Kindle is surely Heaven sent via Texas angel.

Appreciate all my angels here.

That's a beautiful Kindle, Jaye - gotta love our Angels, Texan or otherwise :-)
It's got a speaker, Jaye? Probably need to keep it plugged in then, cuz it would suck back the juice very quickly.

The oil is Gin Chu Le, Zhui Feng WooLok Oil
It's more expensive, but it's the BEST - just stinks lol
Better than Tiger Balm
No painkillers - just the oil, and it's heavenly - 75% of my pain is gone.

Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)

Barb So you aren't feeling good .And so very sorry for the snow !

We have FLOODS !!!!!!!

Thanks for the tip Susan. Most probably I'll be lulled to sleep if activating audio!
Nope, don't have those liniments here, I missed living in a big city. The nearest Oriental store is an hour and a half away. There was a Chinese liniment that I like, it's effective and get rid of headaches fast when you sniff it!! It's green but quite aromatic.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Goodness Synda.
One question.. can you swim?

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Thank God for your Texas Angel Jaye. Your going to like your new Kindle. When my iPad quit working at Christmas, Todd bought me a galaxy tab 4, and it is really nice.

Sorry about all the flooding Synda. I hope nothing gets damaged.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

LOL, one nice thing about having big boobs, we have built in floaters!

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Hello Ladies,

Been outside all day!!! Two days of not being able to go outside was getting to me, lol. So cleaned up the leaves from the branch that broke, filled milk jugs with the water I collected in the trough but still need a bunch more. Wished I could find a bunch of 5 gallons jugs somewhere.....hmmmm must do a ISO on the yard sale site.

Jaye, I lost all my Brugs a two years ago and I sent Synda some cutting from the last one I had. They kept getting spider mites. And I think it's due to having the grapefruit tree in the yard. I think where I live is just not a good place to grow them. It's to hot and dry here and with the drought we are having there is no moisture in the air at all. One reason why my Dahlias and Zinnas didn't do good last year also.

Anyhoooooo the little coop is together!!! Little it is lol but big enough for 3 Rhode Island Reds. But I for sure have to make them a bigger yard to scratch around in and/or a chunnel.........And whoever put on the box that it only takes 30 minutes is full of chickie poo!!!! LOL

On a sad note one of my dear friends got fired from her job for no reason at all!!! Except they said it was due to performance. If so why did they promote her 6 months ago and why have they never written her up???? So she is thinking od moving to TN :( Boy am I going to miss her big time :(

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Cute chicken coop, don't know much about chickens though. You will come up with a good idea for a yard for them to scratch in as you are so clever on working outdoors.

Such a nice kindle Jaye, with its own cover too. You are going to be so happy reading the bible now. Years ago when I went to a bible study group with a friend my son bought me a Franklin electronic reader. Just type in what you want to know and it comes up, I never did learn what all it can do, but sure came in handy. I was cleaning out a part of my entertainment center and came across it so put new batteries in and time to start using it again.

It has been in the high 70's here and it is nice, just wish it wouldn't get any warmer.

They have a web site called Turf Terminators, a new company that will come out and replace your lawn with drought resistant plants and either white gravel or wood chips. I guess they have different plans. This is free, they just get the rebate water company is giving for saving water. Don't know if this is a limited time or not, but sounds so good. My neighbor man told me about it as he came walking down the street and I was filling up green waste barrel. Husband of my "Mrs. Olsen" he seems so nice but she is a witch. I just couldn't believe that this handsome man with pure white hair now looks like he is in bad shape. I would never have recognized him. Boy, what a disease can do to you if you don't take care of yourself. A diabetic who never paid attention to diet, etc.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

good questions, Cindy - promote someone, then fire them for performance reasons? Doesn't make sense to me. And....... aren't they supposed to give a warning so she can choose to improve?

LK - "floaters" lol I guess I could float too then

Jaye - here's a link to an online store
http://shop.nutrasourcehk.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=11

Synda - do you have flood insurance?

Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)

No ,no flood ins. If the water gets high enough to reach our house we better build an Ark ,we are high .....LOL

Yes Jaye I can swim ,but this water is moving way to fast to even attempt swimming !

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

btw - got a community newsletter, and one thing they have is a notice that your grass or herbaceous plants cannot be higher than 6" according to a municipal bylaw, or the City will fine you and require you to cut it down.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Got a bunch of hugs from all my loves in TN. Will be back with them soon but we are now in NC. Will be talking to family in VA & WV to set up days we are going to visit next week. It's WARM!!!!

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

So glad it is warm for you Karen. We have freezing rain here today. No knitting for me today:(

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Enjoy your trip Karen.

Barb, I sure hope you guys warm up soon.

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Susan, are you going to have to take your ruler out to measure plants? Really some dumb laws they put on the books.

Isn't there an ark around somewhere? Looks like I'll never have to use it since what little rain we get doesn't do much good. There was snow in our mountains, I guess winter isn't over in some places.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

KAREN!!!! Where in NC!!! Give me a call when you can, its 910 653 7080 but warn me first, I may not be home this evening!!
Yes it is HOT where I'm at. The 80s with no winds and I must be happy for poor Barb is now having freezing rains, and Synda the floods.

Funny LK, big boobs, big floaters!! I don't think I'll float as now I have more skin than flesh!! Lolol.

Barb, I know you like to stay busy, I think the Lord is providing you with a rest period!
Watch some good shows, sister. Takes your mind off the weather.

Lolol Pegi, I'm getting a visual whereby Susan's city inspectors are laying prone on the ground measuring the weeds! Yes, that is a ridiculous order.
I am glad I'm living in the country.
Seen those Franklin readers. Always wonder whether it is easy to navigate the bible.

Thanks Susan, I'm not familiar with that liniment. There are so many varieties out there. If you are able to find a Chinese pharmacy, maybe you could find some herbs to fortify your joints?
Just a suggestion, or acupuncture.

Cindy, you are really turning into a farmer! Albeit, lacking of a vegetable bed!
I'm so sorry about your friend. More dishonest employers nowadays, looking only at their bank balances instead of truly appreciating the good workers.

Well.... I have downloaded the free English Standard Version bible. I'm finding it a tad hard to navigate, as the Texas Angel has warned me of these free bibles.
BUT, my eyes are happy!!! Still learning how to use it, and its wonderful that I can make use of my cell phone charger for this Kindle. Plug right into the wall!!

Anyway the weeds beckon me. Got to get busy to clear the daylilies. Managed to free only five and good Lord, with His help, I can do five more today. Yep, those weeds are as tall as me. Plus those briars just grow wild everywhere.

Have a wonderful, wonderful weekend everyone.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Jaye, do search on Amazon for free bible for kindle.

just got out of gym and daughter called she had her truck at a garage. it was a sensor, and it cost me 150 to get it fixed for her. I only paid for ir because Michael told me too.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

That sounds like a lot of money for school?

Is your daughter working?

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

that is cheap down here. a lot want 800 a month tuition.
daughter is fighting her disability, that why she lives with me.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Karen - ever since your anniversary, I've been walking around singing Anne Murray's song "Could I have this dance" - Thanks for that, it's beautiful!!!

Jaye - we have a lot of Chinese stores and herbalists - that's where I got this oil.

The Community Newletter's info re: 6" grass - yeah, I could see the inspectors at Pegi's yard, laying down and measuring LOL Usually this nonsense only happens if a neighbour reports you. The City doesn't scour neighbourhoods to check lol

I'm going out for a walk to try to strengthen up my knees. I've put the oil on, and just waiting for a few minutes for it to take effect. I won't walk far, then I'll come home to drive my car to the hardware store (15 min drive, so certainly not going to walk lol )

Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)
