Good day sisters.

I can't get to the site LK. Next, we'd be paying taxes on the air we breathe.

Cindy, fertilizers are mostly chemicals, very little go in our fabric detergent. Give it a try like LK said.

Oh Sue, ham is cheap around Easter. It's 70 cents a pound at Food Lion, and I know there'd be better after Easter sales.
Easter is my favorite time of the year. Don't know whether I'd be attending the sunrise service, my legs can't take standing longer than half an hour.

Slept very well last night. Kel played some classics, and that put me to a deep sleep which my body needs.
Not cooking today, Butt is having having ham butt.. Lolol.. sorry.. I found humor in that!!

Morning Ernie, how are your gardens doing?

Jaye, I find the "BUTT" funny too! Glad you got some sleep!

The article is about how Maryland has to pay taxes on the rainfall.

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

First of all we need rain in order not to save it!! So, so dumb, glad that man got to collect his rainwater for his business. Are they having inspectors come in my back yard to check, I knew they would get around to thinking about taxing our air. Never heard about this until lately, guess I'm behind times by 100 years. Doesn't God control our rain water & air any more???

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Good Afternoon Ladies!

I have got some of the best Friends!!! A friend is going to get a u-haul and help me move next Sunday. And here I was going to wait until Tuesday (14th) and do it all by myself. Plus my daughter is going to help. So now I will be taking just about everything out of the house, Doug will be left with hardly anything. Oh Well, you cheat you lose!!! He won't be happy either cuz I'm taking the couch and giving it to my daughter and taking the nice BBQ my ex-friend Sheri gave me, lol. And I told him if he is late with one Harley payment I will take the Harley too. I'm the primary on the loan and the registered owner. I asked my lawyer friend if I had that right and she said yes because he is only a co-signer. Sweet Revenge!!!! Will be glad when it's done and over with so I can move on.......

Going over to my daughters to color Easter eggs, why I have no clue lol.

Mom and I went and got the Chicken Coop, it is so cute! Then on the 25th when we go to visit my brother we will go to my friend's and pick out 4 hens.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Make sure you talk to the owners and tell them you need to get out of the lease, because you have to move out to help with your Mom.

Sounds like you have everything planned out. Send pictures of the hens when you get them. I think you need a rooster too, to have eggs?

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Nope, no rooster needed unless you want hens to lay fertile eggs, otherwise they just lay eggs for eating. Make sure the hens can grub in the dirt and eat bugs...makes for the richest yolks & best tasting eggs.

Have someone who says he wants to buy the house. Waiting to see his offer and money.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

I have the address to property management and I will be sending them a letter. Their office is about 8-10 hrs away.

Another friend just offered to help me. She can't do a lot but she said she will pack my kitchen. That way I can be busy getting others things outside to be loaded. And she said she is giving me a 60th b-day party to celebrate a new beginning!

No don't need a rooster unless you want to raise baby chicks. We just want Fresh Eggs! For as long as I can remember we've always had chickens. It wasn't very long after my dad passed that two dogs got in our chicken yard killed almost all our chicken and our duck Claghorn. My dad named it, lol. The guy that owned the two dogs denied that it was his dogs. He was a real jerk!!! Then mom got more chickens then again a dog got in a killed a couple, but the owner of that dog came right away and apologized and gave mom $150. Then a third time the neighbors dog killed the rest of what we had. Had a hard time with this guy, finally called animal control and they told him pay up or go to court and pay more! next day he paid mom $150 so it's been 15 yrs since we've had chickens. Soit will be nice to have them again.

transplanted tidal waves ,ezwaves and tomatoes. Peas are up and about ready to plant their spot has been tilled and is ready. I love sugar snap peasboth in things like rice and just plaine cooke in the pan with butter. The good thing about them is they freeze and still taste like fresh peas.

We went for a ride to the big city to take my gd to meet her mother boy was that harsh. I have never seen such traffic jams. I think every car that could run was out and about, We stayed off the freeway for 50 or 60 miles on the way home and by the time we got back on the freeway is had subsided a great deal so the rest of the way was a breeze.

I was pooped when we got home so I went to sleep on the couch and got up at 4.

Glad to hear your still active gardening Ernie. I can imagine all the roads are going to busy this week end.

Cindy glad to hear you have friends who are helping. Moving is the pits when you have to do it yourself.

We did not get a goat yesterday. those goats sold for way over our budget ! by the time the auctioneer said 100.00 we raised our hand and it sold for 500.00 !!! we didn't have time to raise our hand ! ? LOL. Last year you couldn't give a baby goat away ! .
so my car is safe.
not much going on here.
Tim is taking kids to his parents, Tom is working . So i m home . just me and the dog. :)

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Tat is a lot for a baby goat! Enjoy your quiet time!

Happy Easter everyone!

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Cindy, hard to believe your getting snow!

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

lol Linda Kay - he's an Easter ham?

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

LK the snow is up higher in the mountains but yeah and it's wonderful considering we are in a severe drought. We have gotten snow on Mother's Day weekend in the past. Here we are finally getting some much needed rain but boy is it ever COLD for this time of the year it's 46 brrrrr lol

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Happy Easter everyone!!!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Happy Easter u all!!

Had a great laugh with you, LK! Boy you are fast with the pictures!
Dylan has certainly grown into a mini you. He's so adorable and those dimples.. He must have a good appetite, not like a 'dilly'.

Cindy, are you it wasn't an error when you typed snow? Lord has a funny way in answering California's prayers. But then, moisture in any form is welcomed moisture!
You girl, are one of the luckiest sister here. Each time when it seems you're in a pickle, there will be help around the corner. Keep doing good sister, and you'd be taken care of by our Lord.

Pegi, indeed, laws have become so ridiculous for the common folks. Guess there'd be water patrol going around writing up tickets. Rains are gifts from Heaven.

Brother Ernie, so you're testing your muscles. Please don't overdo it, like I'll tell one very stubborn sis Kathy.
Not planting any veges again this year. Have you tried growing eggplants? The Japanese ones have great flavor, great for casseroles.
I haven't drove on any freeway .for years now. Last time was in Houston, let's say.. 15 years ago? Think with my bad eyesight now, I'd avoid that.

Waving Susan!

Sue, at least, Lucy will listen to you!! All those easter eggs, I'm sure there'd be egg salad tomorrow for lunch. Lol.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Thank You Jayegirl,

I already have a "date" to go on a ride with a friend :) I met him about 3 yrs ago when I went on a ride with some friends. Several times he has made comments hinting that he likes me :)

My friend Ron is a real nice guy, has a beautiful Harley, owns his own home, has a boat, loves to go fishing, camping and a lot of other things that I like to do. He is a little older but only by 7 yrs, so we will see how this pans out. I'm not real crazy about riding with just any guy, but Ron I can trust. And hope I can be his back seat buddy on a lot of rides :)

I'm not sure I want to have another serious relationship so I'm not rushing into anything until after I know what is going to happen with my Brother. Not too many men want a woman with a lot of baggage and I have got way too much, lol. My living here and taking care of mom is one reason why Doug broke it off with me. Very selfish of him! Oh and what a joke his dating profile is!! LOL he put that he is 5'6" lol I'm 5'3" and he's shorter than I am, said he is ambitious that is a laughing joke, because he is one of the laziest men I have ever met! Even his mom said he was very lazy, lol. And lot of other bull. But anyhoo good luck to his next victim, lol

Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)

Happy Easter to all !!

Been a slow day here ,Ryan slept ,Rick went to work .But did come home early ,got everything done that needed to be for a trucks going out in the morning .So he trimmed a few bushes that were in fear of brushing my car.

When we lived in town we had to pay for rain water going down the city drains .....LOL.That is one privilege of living in the country ,no water/sewer bill ,plus we can burn our garbage,no trash pick-up bill, you can build something without having a building permit,we can shoot a gun in our backyard ......

Cindy ,Doug has done you a favor .....you deserve much much better ....snicker,snicker,snicker and taller !!!

All the kids are adorable !! But Dylan is definitely a mini Linda Kay ! (heck even if you spelled Linda with a "y" instead of an "i" your names would have the same exact letter just mixed around) .

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I never thought of changing the letters! :)

Lk that Dylan is adorable.
Susan hahaha to funny Easter ham LOL
jaye good talk to you yesterday. :)
Cindy so funny about the profile on doug. I have come across that too. Men who's profiles lie about their height LOL. I guess they think we won't notice ?
not much today. i have some friends coming over for massages. Then Lucy goes to the vet. She has to get her nails trimmed and flea stuff.

Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)

Oh Sue if I was a little closer I'd be at your house at least once a week for a massage ........LOL !

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Me too.

;)

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Good morning my lovely sisters!!

Cindy, Doug must be dreaming of what he's lacking.... up.. and down? Lolol!!
And you are already being snapped up so fast. Okay girl, you have to slow down a bit, it's hard to keep up with your gardening, chicken coop plans and now a new beau!
At least you won't be bored.

Wow Synda, you're quick on that anagram on Dylan's name. Yep, Lynda can be spelt that way too. And yes, I'd be the third one for Sue's massage.

LK, I am persuaded to try again on roses. Since the JBs annihilated all my hybrid teas, I have 2 climbers left. I always want a yellow rose, and there's a neighbour down the road that has an old fashion yellow. Matter of asking Kel to get a cutting.. if not..I'll find one at Dollar General.
Miss seeing beautiful forms that only hybrid teas can give.

Yes it was nice talking to you too Sue. Turn that 666 into 333, and you have nothing to worry about. I had a good laugh at that.

Susan, how is Bob feeling now? He must be anxious to return to work,

Waving at Barb.. Cookie.. LizH... SIs Kathy (egg gumbo?) Judy.. Pegi..

I really have to find me a cheap Kindle, that will help my eyes with the backlit words.

Cool this morning, am in a better spirit as I had another good sleep. Thanks to classics playing in the background.
Really don't understand how some kids can sleep to punk rock!

Made 2 taco pies the day before, and I'm in another pie baking spree. Today it will be chicken pies since the thighs were on sale.
Hmm.. tube steaks were on sale too.. wonder how they'd be in a pie with cream of mushroom sauce? Nah, that would be a sheer waste on the crusts. Okay sisters, suggest something that I can use those tube steaks for his butt's lunch, besides grilling them.

Watched "November Man" with Pierce Brosnan streaming from Netflix last night, it was surprisingly good.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Bob & I were talking about him returning to work, last night.
He's not anxious to return, as he's still timid about hit ribs. Turn a *little* wrong, and he's in a lot of pain. Unfortunately there's not a lot of "non-physical" work he can do in a janitorial company. Even just doing the laundry would involve lifting heavy bags and twisting. Wet laundry even more so.
We shall see

I finished another knitted baby blanket And I found a quilt top I've been looking for lol What a day yesterday. I was wondering where it was lol

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

http://www.food.com/recipe/hot-dog-casserole-24205 Hot dogs baked in mac n cheese.

Sue, we can't wait to see that new blanket.
If Bob is still sore, maybe take him back in to the Dr. for a follow up?

I hope you get your yellow rose Jaye.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

yes, I'll call the Dr today, and see if the office is open

*Susan*

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Good Morning Ladies,

Not off to a good start. Checked my email and there is a message from Doug pretty much blaming me for everything!! Yup he said he's done nothing to crush me that chatting with women is not cheating and that it was an old profile that got accidently uploaded when he put his old sim card in his phone. Hello??? How stupid do you think I am??? I read the profile! And it's all my fault for moving here to take care of my mom and leaving him and Amy behind. I came up with all kinds of ideas for us to stay together but he didn't want to move.

Not a new beau, Jaye we are friends and have been for about 3 yrs and I want to keep it that way and without benefits, lol maybe just a kiss now and then lol

Well we didn't get much rain, but did get enough snow for a ski resort to open for one week but we have another storm coming in tonight that is supposed to really pack a punch. Luckily it's coming late at night and supposed to be gone by late Tuesday morning. But it still doesn't take care of the drought :( We are in serious trouble. Mom and I are working on ways to save grey water for the gardens.

ok time to get a move on Harlee wants to go for a walk, going to be a little chilly but refreshing :)

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Cindy - I gather there's an update of information on his profile?
oh yes, of course - it's ALL your fault - NOT!!!!!!!!!!!

You got snow enough to open a ski lift? Sounds like a lot!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

Went to the gym today, first time in days. spent last week helping Michael set fence posts, as we are fencing in our whole front yard, like we did in back pasture. so needless to say I am whooped, but I did manage to go shopping, and then went to dollar general, talked theem into selling mr 7 roses for 2.500 each. that's 2.00 off. they have 20 more, told me to call later, he's going to try to get them for me for a dollar a piece if I take all 20.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

nice price, Kathy!!!
and nice that you have the room for all those roses :-)

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

GOING TO PUT THEM ON MY FENCE, ALL AROUND THE FRONT YARD.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Do you know what colours they are?
please post pictures, Kathy :-)

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

some are yellow, white bi-color, red, pink. will post pix as soon as we finish the fence and I get them plantd

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

nice - thanks
Will you know before you plant which colours they are, from tags?

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

YES, THEY HAVE TAGS

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

My first rose to open is a pink one! She smells so pretty.
