looks pretty too, Linda Kay!!
Rm# 306 *Sweet Interruptions* Hotel
just love that rose.
Thanks so much!
oh roses. sure wish i could grow some. Just don't have the soil or the sun back at the house. The ones i did try out in Jessica's garden well.... the deer went crazy on them. Also to much wind ! poor roses didn't have a chance.
So i enjoy all the pics of everyone's roses. :)
did my massage today. Mom daughter combo. They seem to enjoy it. I did get a bit nervous and had to look at my book. hopefully they tell a friend and or want to come back again .
ok, back home with Bob, from Dr's - he said Bob's to take another week off work. Bob didn't want me to take the stairs to the 2nd floor where he works so he did, and ended up in spasming painand they realize he's not in any shape to come back to work yet. They'll look after his job until he's fit to work.
Great company :-)
Beautiful Rose !! I have zero luck with roses ... :(
Supposed to rain this whole week until Friday . Well I guess rain is better than snow !!!!!
Prayers for Bob's quick healing !!
That's a good deal Kathy, the Dollar General here wouldn't take anything off for this butterfly yard stake that was chipped here and there.
OMG!!! been cleaning out my storage, I'm getting rid of a lot of my crafting stuff. I just don't have the desire to make things anymore except my candles and jewelry. We have a FB page that is called Auburn Yard Sale you post your stuff with prices then ppl put Int. on it then they come to your house and pick it up. Sold our swing set that way, went to a nice young couple with a little boy "daddy's helper" lol He was so cute had a screw driver in his pocket and helped his dad carry the parts to the truck.
I can smell that rose from here LK!!! lol
Praying Bob Gets Well soon!!!!
Be careful with who comes to your home Cindy. What kind of stuff are you getting rid of?
Good idea, Cindy - I've sold stuff online, too, and have Bob home with me when people come.
ok, gardening season is already started for some, and about to start for others........ here's a great tip
http://www.metaspoon.com/diaper-secret-trick-gel-watering-plants/?fb
Good luck selling your items Cindy.
Smart idea Susan.
I have never had luck selling anything online. :( Cindy hope you can get your stuff sold. I donated all my craft stuff. I too just didn't have the desire anymore.
susan hope Bob is feeling better soon. Good his work is understanding.
i finished my Gilmore Girls.... what do i do know ? LOL
Oh this yard sale is awesome! The things ppl sell on there is unreal!!!
If he sits still, Bob's fine.
Went to that web site, Susan and put it on my timeline on facebook. I have a lot of adult diapers here and wondered what I should do with them. It looks like making a mess, but that comes easy to me. Hope Bob is feeling better soon.
Hope you sell all you things Cindy, I have so much craft stuff and I too have lost interest. I look at all the money I stuck into all this stuff and now it sits. May have to have a sale too. I loved to do counted cross stitch and don't think the old eyes can handle that any more. I saw something in one of your pictures of plastic round dics that look like life savers, can you tell me what they are for? I found a bag of them in the garage (another one of DH thrift store purchases that he just put away) and I've got an idea of what I could do with them, just wondering what they were for originally. The bag I have here has 687 of them. Yep, sat and counted them, wrote on the bag the amount and will put them away for now. How about I spray paint them different colors, my mom wanted red buttons and couldn't find any so she sprayed them red. Worked great for her project. She was making buttons dolls at the time.
Pegi, I believe they are the backing of the eyes. You poke the shank of the eye through, and the white disc holds it in place.
As long as Bob doesn't push it, or strain himself, he's fine.
Yup LK is right
Well it's snowing again in the mountains YAY!!! and just started raining here. One of the gutters outside the front door leaks something awful so mom and I sat the 100 gallon water trough out to catch the water :) This storm is to bring a good soaking rain and quite a bit of snow. Of course ppl don't know how to slow down when it rains and there are all kinds of accidents, jeez!!!
Guess I'll spend the day getting the craft room straightened up, need to make room for exercise stuff.
Hope you Ladies have a good day!
my pastors son passed away yesterday. I am now busy making baked ziti, baked beans, lemon cake, and I ordered a meat platter. everyone was asked to bring food, sdo we can feed the family foe 3days.
any ideas on what to make tomorrow?
So sorry to hear that Kathy! Sending prayers!
probably something to to re heat when they need it. Maybe a meatloaf, a bowl of fruit?
I want to praise God this morning with you my sisters!
Glory to Him who makes all things we deemed impossible, possible.
My insulin, both the long acting and fast acting, Novolog and Levimir have been approved after months of application! They are at the doctor's office, waiting to be picked up today!!
A very kind DGer who lurked here, had offered her Kindle and that's on the way here!!
Isn't that wonderful? I will soon be able to read the bible in bed, slim and easy on my eyes!
Thank you so much you wonderful lady from Texas!! Come on down anytime, as I've said, none of us bite. Yes, this place holds so much love.
Then I found my weedeater battery charger that I had misplaced and it resurfaced of all places, in a box where I kept the kids' toys!!! Guess last year, the Lord wants me to take it easy, and since my legs are a tad stronger, and the daylilies are screaming for air.. yay... just in time.
LK, that's a lovely rose. Did you mention it's name? I laughed when you said it smells pretty!!
And I was just sniffing at the color!! Lolol...
Cindy, good luck on the sales.
Bob better behave Susan, if he want to heal fast! Sit still Bob!
Pegi, now I'd be telling you what books I'd be downloading, but mine will be on spiritual info!
Oh my Sis Kathy. So sad that your pastor is burying a son.
My pastor lost his young son too, and we still can see the sadness in his eyes at times. Though his son was saved, and he knows he'd meet him one day, His wife at times would just cry in the middle of our choir practice.
You can do baked ham, *that freeze easy*, make meat pies and even your famous gumbos.
Waving to Barb.. Karen.. Sue.. Judy.. Thunder.. LizH.. my Texas angel...
God is good.. God is good.
I don't take any gifts that you all gave me lightly. Appreciate all the wonderful help and I have the faith that our Lord will keep blessing all my sisters and brother here.
One day, and I hope it is soon, that I'll be able to help when needed. Believe me, when you're used to giving, it's very humbling when you're at the other end..
Nope no tears, just grateful.. especially for the prayers.
Gonna hit the road soon, so have a wonderful day sisters!

Cindy you might want to cover the top with a piece of screen fastened down so it is mosquito proof. Otherwise you will have a breeding tub.
We are filling jugs!!! I just got done filling a bunch had a 5 gallon one in the garage. it's over flowing now. Yes I know about mosquito already have that taken care of.
In Calgary, if you don't cover your rain barrel and it's a mosquito breeding ground, you get fined heavily
btw - we're actually not allowed to have standing water anywhere on our property, so no bird baths, but fountains are fine.
Wow that sucks!!!
We are supposed to get some rain today, still waiting. Thank you LK about me about those backs for eyes. I couldn't imagine why someone would have so many as there are here. Going to experiment with them later on and if I mess them up I'll just toss them out. I hope Cindy sells all her stuff, so she will end up buying more?? I started doing plastic canvas to use up a lot of odds and ends of yarn, but ended up buying the kind they make for plastic canvas so don't know where my savings are and now have lots of that kind of yarn.
Jay, so happy you are getting a kindle. Such good people around DG/ Every time I use the Sanyo I think of you. You can enlarge the printing too, which I did right away. I still like to hold a real book in my hands once in a while.
LOL No Pegi, I don't plan on buying more stuff. Just sticking to candle making, a little sewing now and then and painting flowers pots etc. I plan on spending more time outside, visiting friends and riding motorcycles. I'm going to be 60 come May and I have a bucket list that needs to be worked on!
Jaye, that is wonderful that your meds got approved! And thank God for your DG Angel from Texas. Yes. You can go to the settings and enlarge the font.
Sue - if there's standing water on your property, such as low lying areas, you need to fill it in, or find some way to drain it.
In Winnipeg, no one was allowed to let their property's grass/weeds grow too long either, or the City would come in and mow your lawn - and all because of mosquitoes.....
I think i would let my lawn grow so the city would come out LOL
In Az where we lived . A woman came over to tell me i would be fined for my weeds growing...... i was 7 months pregnant with the twins..... yep she got it all right ! in AZ weeds don't get high and tall,,, they are low and ground covering types. so stupid.
Sue - they would not only come to mow your lawn, they'd send you the bill for it...... and I'm sure they're not cheap
Morning everyone!
Susan oh dear.... they would bill me ? aawww bummer :( that is wrong !
not much going on here.
forgot to take out the tomato's from the freezer to make sauce and salsa :( so its a boring day.
i did buy a garden arch for Jessica's garden. i may put it up today. get some lights on it. ?
muggy today with rain for the next few days.
so not much going on here
Good Morning,
Not much going on here either. Too wet to work outside, however it would make it easy to pull weeding...Ho Hum de dum what to do what to do....lol
