Hi - stomach is better this morning. I'm still too tried but the radiation takes time to recover from. Thank goodness for Ellen DeGeneris - I usually watch her show shortly after I get up.

No big plans for the day. It's chilly here but clear and should warm up in a couple of hours.

Betty - have you heard of Jidue facial massager? It's advertised to help with sleep. I know nothing except what the ad says. Have you checked out a TENS unit? We don't want you in pain or having trouble sleeping so the suggestions will keep coming.

going to have a quick nap then phone Sharon, apparently her daughter at University was almost abducted last night..she gave a description and partial plate number

Oh my gosh! Glad to hear she was not abducted, but she must be so traumatized!

She isfrightened of everything..had to find a home with living quarters downtown Toronto as she was too nervous to stay at University housing..Sharon said she's more than terrified.Can see her back home shortly.
Talked to Greg, he said Noah's going through 'mad at the world' stage right now

lol, it must just be that time of year...Craft room/area cleaning. I decided to do a clean sweep of my area yesterday too. Trying to make room and re-organize things. My gosh, eyeball popping while i try to purge this stuff.

Thank you all about Pegasus, We discovered it was due to the new food. Baby bird is just that at 10months old, he had to be retaught to eat. They actually let him see that they adding food and literally and feed him. Now he is back to his loveable little self. I am so relieved.

I'm glad to see Karen, you are doing better too.

Oh my gosh, got a call and if all goes well, my Brother and family are coming to visit!! Another reason to get craft area cleaned up...Put away the stuff i don't want them to get into...Not to get too excited but holi smokes have not had Children he in a long, long time.

As you know, Pegasus is my new favorite subject! I am just so glad to see him play again. i took these yesterday.

My grandson and his parents are having the absolute worst fights!! And are both telling me how aweful the other is. I am notup to all this turmoil. I really just want to stay out of it. I think they are both wrong and I do not know what to do. Gryphon is my heart and I hate to see him so upset. Going to pound on some clay and try to avoid them all.

16 is a terrible age to be for a young man, not old enough to what he wants, and too old to be a boy you want them to be. I think we have all gone through it!

I know LK. And I feel for him,, but he is at fault too! I really really hate this,,,,sigh

It's a tough age for sure. I had to have a sit down with my oldest at that age. Told him from the time he was born I had to learn everything with him. Now I had to learn how to let go. We needed to be patient with each other because it was a new experience for both of us. It all seemed to work out in the end. He is a great husband and father.

I read those articles every day. Especially enjoyed the birthday flower one as I got Rose for mine. Only one I would like better is Lily of the Valley. I like my birthstone best too...Pearl. Actually there are two for me but I choose the Pearl.

Karen, we have the same birth month, I was born on the 13th. I love the pearl too. I think the purple stone alexandrite is too light in color, so I prefer to buy amethyst when I can afford it.

My daughter is June 15th.

I have never been too fond of purple, I guess because it's one of the colors that is awful on me. Yellow too.

I didn't read the article. Seems to me that Lily of the Valley might be my (April) flower and I LOVE my birthstone. ;0) it's a diamond! I wear a lot of ruby,too. That was my mothers' stone.

Sorry to hear about Sharon's daughter. She's probably scared to death. We had a murder, suicide at the campus a few days ago. Sad story. The girl broke up with her boyfriend who lived out of town. He said he was coming to see her. She called campus police and told them there might be trouble. So they intercepted him. She cane out to talk to him and after a few minutes told police they could go. Later that evening, he killed her then himself. She should have gone with her gut instinct.

Speaking of murder. Don't forget tonight is the showing of Taynor's daughters' story on Web of Lies. It shows here at 10:00.

Sure wish I could get the channel it's on, am sure Sue will have a difficult time over the next few days, memories of such a tragedy are always overwhelming.
Joyce if you find an easy easy trick to taking wallpaper border off let me know, would like to paint the living room now that I've new furniture..hmmm not so sure some of the border was coming off and I glued it??? now wouldn't that be a treat, trying to take that off.

The girls know when something is going on, because he starts getting gear ready. Bags all over the place. They want the girls to know he's going. Have given Malena a calender, she is learning to mark off days. Trying to help her understand lengths of time.

Glad Noah is feeling better. I would guess there are phases to go through, after such a trauma.

she was once told (by an Art teacher) that purple & yellow do not "go" together.
Anyone look at a field of wildflowers? God mixes all colours together........ and We are all wildflowers :-)

Susan, I had a friend tell me numerous times, that red and orange were terrible together! !
I made her some bead earrings, and she finally decided she liked them together.

I had told her many times, look at nature. Flowers, leaves... etc.

WHOA re Sharon's daughter, we have had a fella try twice in the last 36 hours to abduct women, both at night .. once he used the 'puppy ploy', stopped and asked a younger woman (22) to look at a pic of his lost puppy .. she went over to the truck, but, thankfully stood back .. he reached out to grab her and she ran to a house .. she got a description, no plate ..
Last night it was a 45 yr old woman, he pulled over as she was walking (at 11pm) and TOLD her to get into the truck ! She said NO, he got out but she KNEED him HARD .. he fled .. same truck description, but, this time a partial plate # . usually .. on CSI and Criminal minds, they'd have the guy in seconds, in REAL life .. that doesn't happen.

Oh my .. Pegasus is a pretty bird :-)

My only problem with yellow is on me it turns my skin greenish. Purple has just never been a fav, and doesn't look good on me either. As far as flowers go...I love them all but tend to prefer red.

Yellow and purple are opposite each other on the color wheel so they are high contrast. I like them together. Reminds me of irises for some reason.

I'm making orange soup - lots of beets and carrots.

Someone on DG, I think?, told me that a lady they know puts all her scraps in a bag, hand pieces, and just picks one out (blindly) and adds it. Her quilts always turn out lovely.
The same could be done with machine piecing lol

I'm somewhat structured with my sewing, laughed, one day (forget what I was sewing) I told Suzanne I had to be unstructured so she did same, picked from a bag and I don't know how many times I tried to convince her it wouldn't match and she told me I must sew what was given, in the end was nice.

Just talked to Sharon "M" police told Nikki she did the best by running and screaming at the top of her lungs..they said sometimes women/kids who run to a door and knock get abducted because the person inside doesn't want to become involved or don't think it's a true emergency..I'd not have thought that.

normally my colors are black and white, love them and yet when I look at my closet my 'likes' must have changed because they are humdinger bright colors (Thunder would be proud of me) lol

she took him out for a drive, went to school, then to factory rec where he works, lunch and now in bed..she said she had to get him out for a few hours as he was starting to dwell on things.

I hope they have a psychiatrist coming to the house for counseling? That will help everyone!

I don't ask too many questions, told her my nose was runny so likely I wouldn't visit tonight, she will let me know when he wakes and I'll call to see how his day went.

Right on Linda, some counselling would most likely help him through this.

I'm glad that Mel got Noah out and about - I might not have gone to the school (wasn't that where he was attacked?), but she knows him best and they say it's like falling off a horse - Get Right Back On It............ yikes...

Quilting and Thunder are likely to "blame" for your updated colour choices, Betty - and that's a good thing!
My ex bought me a Red dress for Christmas one year because he said all I wore were boring beiges and browns and I needed to get some colour into my wardrobe lol
Right now I'm wearing a jungle print jacket with a Tiger emblazoned in full face on the back and a jungle print top under it - golds, black, tan & brown........... but NOT boring lol

I love wearing colors. My ex daughter in law asked me one time why I wear so many colors, and I said because they are fun. All she wears is black and white.

LOVE splashy and zippy colours .. was SO happy when DS and his wife had DGD, Brooklyn, I went crazy buying her outrageously bright outfits .. and, now, at 16, she is an animal print and black kinda gurl .. sheeesh ..

Only reason the girl that was almost abducted ran to the house was because she knew the people, but, I can se not opening your door to a stranger, could be a 'set up' ... The fella from the drugstore in town made a delivery here yesterday (unannounced) .. I thought the dogs were going to go nuts .. poor guy .. and, the back aluminum door is covered in ice (on the window) from the cold, so, I couldn't see .. poor Gord had to hobble out and take over ..

I look crapizole in Yellow, makes me look bilious !
Purple is OK, I have a purple fun kinda jacket ..

Noah is on a long hard trail to discovery of himself .. not an easy thing to face and come to terms with.

OMG, I'm gasping for air. Got a burst of energy and decided to clean the refrigerator. It's been a while. Shelves and drawers are out and I'm working on the inside but needed a break. Fund the usual mystery jars and bags. tony may have to help me finish tomorrow. He is great about helping with whatever needs to be done, no macho ego.

Our weather is warming up. I have aloes in bud with a few blooming and my jasmine is in bud. Any minute now 'll be moaning about the heat!!

No Susan his school is in midland, school it happened was in Victoria harbour..I also bought a red dress as per roger, he said there wasn't anything in my closet that wasn't white/black..am sure it looked nice but I felt everyone was looking at me, I looked like a flashing red light..wore it once, still sitting in my closet after all these year. Can't believe what I buy now
