My complexion is on the olive side so green & yellow are bad. Now my oldest DGD loves purple and has all her life. I usually wear blue or sometimes red & black.

should hit the pit early as Gord and myself are off to my cousins funeral tomorrow, she's already cremated, but, there's a mass at noon with visitation before, and, a luncheon following .. nice to touch base with the fam, but, kinda sad it's at a funeral.

Hummingbirds like them. And they grow like weeds here - Little or no water and they spread from offsets. kb

Betty I didn't realize that Kyle was old enought to live on his own. He might outgtow his Asbergers. Time flies!!

Amazing, was in bed before 6 last night, took neocitrin and dozed off within minutes..slept like a babe except for opening my eyes and thinking I needed something for pain then dozed off again.

Haven't looked outside yet, want to go to Barrie, visit with Linda and go to lunch, if im not achoo'ing I'll frop in to Greg and Mel's for a few minutes, all depends what I see outside.

Did not know aloevera had flowers, gorgeous..how beatiful it must be Katie to see all these pretties while we look at snow.

Didn't do the hip, know when it gets too bad for me re pain I will call and they will decide what to do, nothing major re knees, just want to check their condition, ie arthritis etc

We have friends whose daughter did just that .. when she comes home to Thunder Bay in the summer to spend a couple of weeks at the lake, she goes on and on about how she loves big city life ..

Smokey is making me nuts here, trying to walk over the keyboard of my laptop, best go and feed him so he can turn up his nose at it ..

Good morning my friends,

Yes, the aloes are beautiful when they bloom; even more beautiful when the hummingbirds find them.

Last year an American couple up the hill were doing a teardown to rebuild on their property and offered all the plants they had for free. We got two truckloads of aloes and put rows of them on the bare hill which is between my house and Dana's. It is mostly gravel and dust which would blow into my house with any wind. We've done very little watering but most of them are thriving and some will bloom soon. And, someday, the whole hill will be solid with aloes and there will be one less source of dust.

I, too, slept well and was up at 6:15. Tony gets here at 7 and we will finish cleaning the refrigerator and see what other cleaning we can get done.

We have been picking some summer squash and I have some arugula coming.

I feed the wild birds here and have plants to protect the little ones from the eagles but I've not had any as pets. I'm glad Pegasus is better.

Made a spicy peanut chicken ramen cole slaw - recipe from Food,com - last night and it was really good. I just made the dressing - no chicken or ramen - and used it on a cabbage/carrot slaw and ate more than I should have.

I read to Food.com a lot when I'm looking for recipes. I read a lot more than I cook but it's fun.

Time to work a little.

Hi Everyone

Tomorrow & Saturday are sad days for me.............. I have to be at Renfrew Church at 9:30 to help make sandwiches for funerals of 2 of my friends...... Anne's is at 2pm at Renfrew (lunch at 3pm) and Wilma's is Saturday at 10am at a funeral home with the lunch at the community center I go to.
Anne was the lady I helped pack & move to her new place...... she only lived there 13 days.
Wilma is another friend - her daughter (Marlene) is a bit older than me and also a friend - Marlene's the one that gave me my loom

Funeral was nice, love the church it was in .. very modern, but, in a nice way ..
Soloist sang beautifully ..
Met lotsa relatives .. and, acquaintances

Has gotten warmer here .. little bit of fluffy snow

Betty, I sure hear you on the tiredness. I called the Tax Advocacy Service three times today. Each time I was put on hold and asked to hold on - after fifteen minutes my call was terminated with no human contact. Spent a couple of (futile) hours knocking on doors, looking for help. I'm exhausted.

Also, the person I had a disagreement with apparently sent a dmail to all her "friends" so I've left that thread. OH, well, I suspect she has left this one.

I'm so tired.

Katie, sorry, just so sorry, and some warm hugs. I've been there and sometimes it just wears you down. This on top of you still being in recovery, couldn't have come at a worse time.

Treat yourself to something comforting and get some rest. Tomorrow is another day and with it being after 5, there's nothing that can be done for the government issue. As for the other person, we are all entitled to our own opinions and if your stating your view caused someone to have a hissy fit, the heck with her.

When people try to involve me in their drama, I just say to myself "Not my circus, not my monkey" and have done with it.

I know that I've said things that I've meant one way, and were taken another - much to my shock and dismay, and sometimes I've said things I've been embarrassed about after the fact.
Mind you - I am making No reference to either of you - I can only speak from my own experience.
All I can say is that I love you both, and it hurts me to see either of you hurting.
Yes, both of you should be able to stand up for yourself, what happens to you, and your beliefs.
