Bonnie has such a beautiful house, surrounded by green hills and horse pasture and a buffalo herd down the road. I just loved it. Sat and talked to her DH for a long time.

I got to meet Bonnie at a round up in KY years ago. Such a wonderful lady. Prayers being said for the families.

Barb that has to be the greatest news for you, I'm still in awe of what they can do and how quickly theyhavethepatientsup and about.when did you see him last and did you see any signs he wasn't well? Amazing you can look so well and yet so unwell..thank the lord for this miracle I am.

Debbie, yes, remember staying with her overnight, was one of our first stops wasn't it..how very said it is, can't even imagine how you get through such a thing

Crissy sorry to hear about Joel, painful indeed.

Rita picked me up at 6:30, got to use border and not a car nor was there any on our way home ..we wondered why, could be the Canadian $$$

Rita drove her car, said today was christmas pressie from her, she drove, paid gas, 407 charges and bought me the large cutting Matt

Had a list, stuck to it, I spent $375 and Rita$265 ..less than 24 hours you aren't to purchase anything..we had thought to stay overnight, even bought an outfit to do so but after eating I wasn't the best..

Got to a nice young customs officer, asked when we entered USA? This morning
Did you buy anything? Yes, we had intended to spend the night but wasn't up to par so heading home..told him I'd have to go to customs to pay duty, looked at me and waved us on
That was good news. Lol

We decided to leave everything in the car and Rita will drop it off in the morning..

Debbie, hahaha. You weren't with me, not there to tellme it couldn't come home with me, but today it did..care to guess what it is?? 😝

I thought I was doing so well but Rita kept asking if I was ok..she said I kept coughing and gagging, I said 'what?' I hadn't even noticed..guess I had been doing it for so long didn't even know I was.

No Betty, didn't stop at Joyces that trip. We had talked about it but believe she was also on a trip that time? August 2009 was the time frame. Yes, sandwich was huge and so reasonable price. We were shocked at that too.

Know we ended up at Bonnie's, Bev's and Judy's and Liz/Kenny were there and met up with Crissy .. were we just travelling or was there a reason for it, having memory loss..maybe we just wanted to run away from home..was fun though

Yes, it was my first time running away. We stopped at Sharon's also and endured a horrific storm there also. And although we had been friends for long time, it was yours and my first time meeting "face to face".

Looked at my pics, no pics of Bonnie's family, just the land and the pups and Bonnie.

Oh Barb I forgot about Pluresy! I've had it & it is painful!! With mine I had to let it go away on its own. Joel does have a hernia trying to pop out due to all his coughing. I'm asthmatic so I get bronchitis all the time, he's never had bronchitis before.

Betty it gets like that, you cough so much you don't realize you're doing it.

Good grief I need a shopping spree like that!!

Bob's likely to take up weaving as well! Seeing as he's putting it together, he feels he knows the loom as well, so can weave with it lol

It won't be for naught, Betty - it's going to be there, staring me in the face, when I walk in the door. Heaven help Bob if he uses it as a coat rack!!

Me thinks Susan seeing Bob put all his energy into getting it done he gets half, a coat rack on his half it might be.

Crissy hope Joel is on the mend today.

Debbie, how brave we were venturing out for a week never having actually met..forgot about spending time at Shar's..we did a lot of visiting didn't we..you were sooo in pain, unbelievable how swollen your feet were, you were quite a trooper.

Our talking about our visits with fello dg members made me realize I've almost visited with you all, few more are on my "must meet" list

First - my everlasting thanks for all your prayers. I am blown away at how well my son is doing and just how effective prayer can be. David is doing so well and now that his SO has arrived, he will do even better. She is a nurse and will keep him in line (as much as she can LOL). May go home tomorrow. I got to talk with him for a few minutes yesterday. The weather is keeping me home but I do feel staying out of the hospital is wise for me. A bit congested and that's not good.

Sending prayers for Gord and Joel that they are more comfortable today. Each day that passes I pray they are better.

Praying for jobs for Crissy and Susan. They must be out there for you both.

Thinking of "M" and Dianne and hoping you are coping with this brutal cold. I don't know how you can deal with it Betty when you aren't feeling well to begin with. I have begun to love my four walls here. The thought of venturing outside turns me right off. Have plenty to keep me busy.

I remember when you and Debbie went on that journey. Through the cornfields!!!

Was telling Rita yesterday just ow content I am to stay in the house, if someone wild bring me groceries and craft supplies likely I'd never go out.

Am sure David is relieved that you aren't putting yourself in harms way re your health.
Hard to believe with the grace of God what procedures these surgeons can do to make you in better shape than before. David will heal in leaps and bounds now that his SO is home and a nurse to boot!

Don't want to call Rita just yet, perhaps she is sleeping in so I took out a bug box of scraps and organizing them in zip lock bags before new stash comes in. Lol

Can't believe how many projects are in bags ready to be done..think I'll put them on priority list.

Joel has been coughing since 7am, and the congestion in his lungs is so loud when he's not coughing I can hear it gurgling very well across a 10' x 15' room. He's using Vicks, Robitussin Cough and Congestion, and we were supposed to go to church this morning with one of his coworkers but we opted out. I have been like that so many times I can't count, and every time it just seemed to go away after awhile, in fact, I'm usually the one who is like that but I guess my flu shot is holding strong!

LOL through the corn fields! I loved that story!! You all did visit a bunch of people on that visit. Debbie you will have to get out like that again.

Mom just called (forgive me Lord, didn't tell her I went to Buffalo yesterday)
she was coming up to stay with aunt Muriel but her brother who lives about 1/2 hr away is going to pick aunt Muriel up and have her stay with him for a week or so

who knows, if weather is good on Saturday might just go to Buffalo and take mom AND use up my 30% off card at Joanns lol

Crissy & Betty, I did do another road trip in October. Just Shane and I went, I drove the entire way to Colorado and back....and would do it again in a heart beat. Loved it and was so relaxed.

I'm working on the ROADTRIP 2015 I do with with girls, know it's early but a lot of what we will do in Washington dc needs pre-booking as well as ferries etc. I will wait until April and book the entertainment part..feel like I need a ROADTRIP now

Jake and Emily did the Colorado Trip with their Buddie. They all took turns driving and made it in about 17 hour! Said it was beautiful.

How wonderful your neighbor loaded the garage with fire wood! Only had a few fires this winter, just haven't been in the mood to keep up with them...But I have been doing lots of reading, while DH has been home and on this computer for days at a time! So the boys staying cozy warm, bet they are missing being able to run.

Ha! Judy, I have 3 interviews set up for next week, two on Monday (one is a phone interview blah!) and one on Tuesday. I am positive there will be more in the near future!

That was about 4.5 hours ago...now were both starving, having left over stuffed pizza.
Then back at the computer, also back track and recheck the accounts!
This is part of my big harry deal story!! And it is really a big harry deal too.

AAACK!! A big harry deal!! Not so much fun. 4.5 hours later!!

I showered real quick and went to Sams Club, they used to make these wonderful enchiladas in the deli that were delicious and I went to get one to bake at home, shoot they don't make them anymore, they kept everything I don't like. Got enchiladas made by a different company, not quite as good but still good.
