Bonnie has such a beautiful house, surrounded by green hills and horse pasture and a buffalo herd down the road. I just loved it. Sat and talked to her DH for a long time.
Best/Worse/What did I learn today?chat with friends old/new
I got to meet Bonnie at a round up in KY years ago. Such a wonderful lady. Prayers being said for the families.
Evening all
Barb that has to be the greatest news for you, I'm still in awe of what they can do and how quickly theyhavethepatientsup and about.when did you see him last and did you see any signs he wasn't well? Amazing you can look so well and yet so unwell..thank the lord for this miracle I am.
Debbie, yes, remember staying with her overnight, was one of our first stops wasn't it..how very said it is, can't even imagine how you get through such a thing
Crissy sorry to hear about Joel, painful indeed.
Rita picked me up at 6:30, got to use border and not a car nor was there any on our way home ..we wondered why, could be the Canadian $$$
"m" it was a perfect dayweatherwise, sun was out and only -1..was -4 when we got in about
1/2 hr ago
Rita drove her car, said today was christmas pressie from her, she drove, paid gas, 407 charges and bought me the large cutting Matt
Had a list, stuck to it, I spent $375 and Rita$265 ..less than 24 hours you aren't to purchase anything..we had thought to stay overnight, even bought an outfit to do so but after eating I wasn't the best..
Got to a nice young customs officer, asked when we entered USA? This morning
Did you buy anything? Yes, we had intended to spend the night but wasn't up to par so heading home..told him I'd have to go to customs to pay duty, looked at me and waved us on
That was good news. Lol
We decided to leave everything in the car and Rita will drop it off in the morning..
Debbie, hahaha. You weren't with me, not there to tellme it couldn't come home with me, but today it did..care to guess what it is?? 😝
I thought I was doing so well but Rita kept asking if I was ok..she said I kept coughing and gagging, I said 'what?' I hadn't even noticed..guess I had been doing it for so long didn't even know I was.

She is a sweetie, lovely home and beautiful gardens ..Debbie, didn't her son, the one that passed come to drop off his dad? Round ups include Illinois are as well? You aren't thatfareitherareyouJoyce?
Betty, did you get that big witch or something similar??? Mmm, I don't doubt it!!!
Yes, Bonnies was our first stop and that little dinner down from her that I still swear had
the best sandwich I have had to date!!!
Betty, yes we met the son along with her DH.
Though we did, likely we took photo's
You know Debbie, that was the first thing that ame to mind was that restaurant in Bonnie's town,id have to say it was the best sandwich as well..one would feed 4 if I remember correctly
I've been travelling so much and often stop atjoyce's
Did we that Trip?
Debbie, it the cutest Easter bunny (now that you mention it it was a witch)she's just too cute for words..she is still in Rita'scar, wait until you see her..Rita said she's just me
Is it too early to decorate for Easter, have a few totes somewhere
Boy, he's got the patience of a saint, sure hope it's not for not and you make good use of it
Riley and missy wanted out so now I haveto wait up for them to come in
No Betty, didn't stop at Joyces that trip. We had talked about it but believe she was also on a trip that time? August 2009 was the time frame. Yes, sandwich was huge and so reasonable price. We were shocked at that too.
Hard to believe that trip was 2009
Wow
Know we ended up at Bonnie's, Bev's and Judy's and Liz/Kenny were there and met up with Crissy .. were we just travelling or was there a reason for it, having memory loss..maybe we just wanted to run away from home..was fun though
Yes, it was my first time running away. We stopped at Sharon's also and endured a horrific storm there also. And although we had been friends for long time, it was yours and my first time meeting "face to face".
Looked at my pics, no pics of Bonnie's family, just the land and the pups and Bonnie.
Oh Barb I forgot about Pluresy! I've had it & it is painful!! With mine I had to let it go away on its own. Joel does have a hernia trying to pop out due to all his coughing. I'm asthmatic so I get bronchitis all the time, he's never had bronchitis before.
Betty it gets like that, you cough so much you don't realize you're doing it.
Good grief I need a shopping spree like that!!
Susan he's really gettin' r dun!!
Bob's likely to take up weaving as well! Seeing as he's putting it together, he feels he knows the loom as well, so can weave with it lol
It won't be for naught, Betty - it's going to be there, staring me in the face, when I walk in the door. Heaven help Bob if he uses it as a coat rack!!
Hi y'all ...
Wow, go missing and just look at what all happens! I don't know if I will ever get caught up again. I was so excited ... I got to go home for Christmas this year.
Barb, sending prayers to David for complete recovery. How are you and Norm?
M ... still thinking and praying for Gord ...
Betty, I hope you're feeling better now. Sounds like you had another successful shopping trip! I sure hated to pack up my beautiful placemats ... and all my other pressies!
Dianne, waving to you and the pups! Sounds like you have some mighty good friends!
Debbie, how is Paul? Sure have had him in our prayers ...
Susan, glad you got a good report on your knee.
Tears for Bonnie and her family ...
Okay, waving to those I've missed!
Morning all
Wide awake, was hoping I'd sleep until noon..this body has a clock of its own
How nice to see you post susan101) worried you were unwell.how are you coping with winter?
Now I should have made those placematts reversible so you could have kept them out..food for thought, next set I may do so.
Barb, you must be feeling somewhat more at ease knowing David is improving daily..have you yet been able to speak a few minutes with him? If not, perhaps today.
Me thinks Susan seeing Bob put all his energy into getting it done he gets half, a coat rack on his half it might be.
Crissy hope Joel is on the mend today.
Debbie, how brave we were venturing out for a week never having actually met..forgot about spending time at Shar's..we did a lot of visiting didn't we..you were sooo in pain, unbelievable how swollen your feet were, you were quite a trooper.
Our talking about our visits with fello dg members made me realize I've almost visited with you all, few more are on my "must meet" list
Good morning to all,
First - my everlasting thanks for all your prayers. I am blown away at how well my son is doing and just how effective prayer can be. David is doing so well and now that his SO has arrived, he will do even better. She is a nurse and will keep him in line (as much as she can LOL). May go home tomorrow. I got to talk with him for a few minutes yesterday. The weather is keeping me home but I do feel staying out of the hospital is wise for me. A bit congested and that's not good.
Sending prayers for Gord and Joel that they are more comfortable today. Each day that passes I pray they are better.
Praying for jobs for Crissy and Susan. They must be out there for you both.
Thinking of "M" and Dianne and hoping you are coping with this brutal cold. I don't know how you can deal with it Betty when you aren't feeling well to begin with. I have begun to love my four walls here. The thought of venturing outside turns me right off. Have plenty to keep me busy.
I remember when you and Debbie went on that journey. Through the cornfields!!!
Sending hellos to all and will get my head together and read back posts to catch up. Love you all~~~~~
Barb, scary thought when we get to love our walls
Was telling Rita yesterday just ow content I am to stay in the house, if someone wild bring me groceries and craft supplies likely I'd never go out.
Am sure David is relieved that you aren't putting yourself in harms way re your health.
Hard to believe with the grace of God what procedures these surgeons can do to make you in better shape than before. David will heal in leaps and bounds now that his SO is home and a nurse to boot!
It's between freezing rain and rain right now
Don't want to call Rita just yet, perhaps she is sleeping in so I took out a bug box of scraps and organizing them in zip lock bags before new stash comes in. Lol
Can't believe how many projects are in bags ready to be done..think I'll put them on priority list.
Off to make breakfast
We love you too Barb!!!! Hopefully he will go home tomorrow, that would be awesome!!!
Joel has been coughing since 7am, and the congestion in his lungs is so loud when he's not coughing I can hear it gurgling very well across a 10' x 15' room. He's using Vicks, Robitussin Cough and Congestion, and we were supposed to go to church this morning with one of his coworkers but we opted out. I have been like that so many times I can't count, and every time it just seemed to go away after awhile, in fact, I'm usually the one who is like that but I guess my flu shot is holding strong!
LOL through the corn fields! I loved that story!! You all did visit a bunch of people on that visit. Debbie you will have to get out like that again.
She sure will, loved travelling with her
cornfield was more than adventure, sooo many laughs..nice to remember..
she also got giddy at the Grand Ole Opry..thought I'd find her on stage lol
uggg for Joel, no fun not feeling up to par.
Mom just called (forgive me Lord, didn't tell her I went to Buffalo yesterday)
she was coming up to stay with aunt Muriel but her brother who lives about 1/2 hr away is going to pick aunt Muriel up and have her stay with him for a week or so
who knows, if weather is good on Saturday might just go to Buffalo and take mom AND use up my 30% off card at Joanns lol
Barb glad to hear David is feeling better. Always sending prayers to you guys
crissy hope joel can get some relief soon.
Betty sounds like you and Rita had a good trip.
Austin team lost the basketball game, they were slaughtered. I think the other team was on steriods ! they were huge ! . They must have GMO corn in New Lebonon Ohio LOL
Tom came over a quick visit :( . he is off to work. a double shift today
Barb, that is great news he may be going home soon!
Crissy, I hope Joel gets some treatment soon, it does not sound good with his coughing like that!
Susan101, so glad you were able to go home for Christmas, I hope you had a good visit!
Sometimes you got to wonder Sue if teams are well placed to play against each other..am sure you were cheating them on big time..always next time for a win.
Off to grocery shop, Greg and kids coming over for supper tonight, also suzannesays she never learned how to make old fashion French ' glissands' so when I'm ready to make those she will come over..got to remember to have something for Kyle's girlfriend as she won't eat meat
Rita dropped off my goodies, will finish task in hand before opening everything up
Did getmy bunny friend, she is just too cute..now where to put her till easter
Susan 101, how long was it sice you went home?
Well, let's see if I can't get to Foodland without falling, hate freezing rain..tis melting a bit though
Good morning,
Happy to hear of Davids progress Barb. That has to be such a relief to you and Norm.
Susan101, happy to hear you got to go home for Christmas. I know that was so wonderful for you. DH is doing better and back to work (thank God). scary situations with his eye but also with his job we have to wait out.
Crissy & Betty, I did do another road trip in October. Just Shane and I went, I drove the entire way to Colorado and back....and would do it again in a heart beat. Loved it and was so relaxed.
Ready for a next one!
Might hit 40 today...can put on shorts and bare feet. haha
Debbie its +4c here, really melting, was nice to get out and not freeze
Foodland were taking their cabbage rolls out of the oven, ate 1/2, much too much for one meal.
Tasty though
This aft I will make lemon meringue and a coconut cream pie, both Greg's favorite, add in chicken and glissants he'll be over the moon..now may I not burn anything
Debbie is it day to day at Paul's work, no security what so ever.
Was great for you to go with Shane, you got to see a lot of country.
I'm working on the ROADTRIP 2015 I do with with girls, know it's early but a lot of what we will do in Washington dc needs pre-booking as well as ferries etc. I will wait until April and book the entertainment part..feel like I need a ROADTRIP now
Oh well April 3rd will come soon enough
Debbie I missed that road trip you and Shane took. I missed him coming back to NY too!
Betty I don't go out in freezing rain, I will break something. Lol!
I know I need a roadtrip, the ones I took in Missouri for work didn't cut it. Gotta have money coming in to go anywhere though. I want my mom to get out of pain so I can drag her around with me. Lol!
That would be fun Crissy, maybe visit me in Canada again..we had fun on our ROADTRIP to joyce's
I would love to bring her to Canada! She would love it!! She's not going to leave her husband with potential heart problems though, so he needs to get off his duff and change docs.
Quite understandable being so I'll...mini trips for her and you would be great
LOL well the other mom and me did get a bit catty. We just kinda joked around about the kids size's compared to our scrowny guys. LOL
not much going on here
trying to sell some things on Craiglist... i never have any luck but i thought i would give it a go.
trying to sell my wedding dress... LOL good luck ! but you never know.
have a pretty nasty headache coming on
still need to take Austin to basketball but may not make it if head doesn't stop hurting
Nothing worse that's a headache, perhaps a nap might help!
Good luck with craigslist, wish you could sell that sewing machine, would mean a good chunk of $$$ for you.
Finished with pies, supper almost ready
Just have to call Suzanne at 3 to come over to watch me finish up so she can make them
Ready for a nap but know what will happen, I'll fight it..
Everything under control soi an go downstairs and tidy up.
Supper is at six if youc make it

Hello
Smiling at Davids healing process Barbara.
Keeping you all in thoughts and prayers.
Barbara, thinking of you on this nicer day here and hope yours is a day you can go out just a few minutes. LOL, you popped in my head the other day.
Did I mention, Brandon and Nicole moved back to Boston? They still live in the same area as before.
So what made me wonder, Do you miss the view, especially the random Bear? I thought that the day I saw a fox run across the front yard!! Pegasus saw too and hightailed it to the safety of his cage.
Oh man, Aunti Jean took another fall, she is ok now.
...Also catching up with a few posts of recent past- You sent Thunder a wonderful Santa Warren pressie! Love the knitted snowman.
Yikes Crissy, Sure hope Joel get to feeling better.
Sounds like your interview went great, keeping my fingers crossed. LOL, and you still have one left...
woohoo may the best one (employer) get the the best (you) for the job!! I dunno what a great feeling ig they have a hiring War over you.
Awe, Your mom still having lots of pain, sorry to hear.
Susan/101, Awe I so glad you went home for a visit!! So smiling as I remember my trip. I hope you had a wonderful time. Where does your family live?
Susan, Wow that loom is humungous! Bob did a good job putting it together...LOL, I hope he doesn't intend for it to be a coat rack or any other kind of rack. Oh my gosh, great news that your knee is going to be ok, also the chest pains came from the fall...Lol, I got extra bubble wrap, hehehe.
...So do you have a project in the planning for the loom?
Sue, Good Luck selling your items. Awe poor girl, typing quietly...hope that headache goes away.
Will someone give Austin a ride in case you can't make the game?
Waiving hiya Debbie, Glad to hear Paul is doing better and back to work. Yep so smiling at your Trip to Colorado with Sean. Hope you do again soon, take a trip I mean. Jake and Emily did the Colorado Trip with their Buddie. They all took turns driving and made it in about 17 hour! Said it was beautiful.
Anyway how have you been and what have you been up to? Been missing you, wink and an armwrap girl.
OMG, enjoy your shorts and t's! it's been marvelous to get a kiss from the sun last couple of days!
Youhooo, Moonbeam? How are you doing?
Oh my gosh, Yesterday was such a sad day, but I have been smiling at all the memories being told.
I have also wanted to meet Bonnie. Perhaps I will meet her this year. When I go to the Sistah Gathering at Sue's.
LOL, Betty, Debbie and Crissy, that was a great trip and i always seem to smile and look as i pass the cornfields with a "road" hahaha....
OH Speaking of Trips, We are going to Sturgis this year!! DH has always wanted to so this year he's planned it. We will be towing the Harley tho, Only because I just can't take the long ride, thought i would die when we went to Betty's, yep...I am a woose!
Hi Thunder, How are you doing, what have you been up to?
Linda kay, whatchya upta?? Oh my gosh, think it would scare me if a dog/cat thought my birds would be great food!! I do remember I had a cat and a bird a very long time ago, Bird teased the cat, cat did a jump and attack...Cat was gone within the week! Good Gosh, Jake wants to get yet another bird, Hands on the hips, I said not in this household, 3 is enough.
Betty, wow, is this the first time you went to Buffalo and returned in the same day? lol.
Did you get all your supplies? Yikes shaking my head looking at this mess of mine. The craft area is n need of some purging and organizing.
Dianne, was so good to see you post. Well, hopefully you'll get some warmer weather.
How wonderful your neighbor loaded the garage with fire wood! Only had a few fires this winter, just haven't been in the mood to keep up with them...But I have been doing lots of reading, while DH has been home and on this computer for days at a time! So the boys staying cozy warm, bet they are missing being able to run.
Oh i am so glad you all like the pictures!
Well, I am still so feeling icky, hard to breathe with the nostril all clogged! No sooner do i unclog one side the other gets clogged.
I am so full of water, I can feel it gurgling around in the belly, lol. But i actually got a really good night sleep until 9:00 A.M>-Wowwie!
I was going to tell you this story yesterday, but will be back and tell ya whats up later today.
A full day of football, so i get to play, read and catch up, and Yippeee, DH returns to the Jobsite tomorrow!!
P.S. Where is katie, sure hope you are doing well and just busy!

Ha! Judy, I have 3 interviews set up for next week, two on Monday (one is a phone interview blah!) and one on Tuesday. I am positive there will be more in the near future!
YIKES I need to figure out what's for dinner and I haven't even showered yet!! OOOPS!!
Hey Judy. Not doing much today. Just sitting here watching the food network on tv. Everything always looks good and hubby keeps saying... let's have that for dinner. Nice and warm here today. 72 right now.
Wow, well wishing you luck, ROFLOL, better get that shower(s) in.
Linda Kay, lol, I'd be saying well go ahead then.
I've been working on this project. DH said it will only take an hour!
That was about 4.5 hours ago...now were both starving, having left over stuffed pizza.
Then back at the computer, also back track and recheck the accounts!
This is part of my big harry deal story!! And it is really a big harry deal too.
AAACK!! A big harry deal!! Not so much fun. 4.5 hours later!!
I showered real quick and went to Sams Club, they used to make these wonderful enchiladas in the deli that were delicious and I went to get one to bake at home, shoot they don't make them anymore, they kept everything I don't like. Got enchiladas made by a different company, not quite as good but still good.
Hey Judy girl. . Can't wait to the get to gether and see all the sistah's ! Oh boy a hairy story ? hmmmmm
