Print several, If I have several items, I will buy one, go put it in the store, go back in and buy the next one. Print one or two for who ever your taking with.

Got back from Dr's about 20 min ago (gosh he's fast - did a Driver's med for me too - assistant did eye test, and I had to get the $$ to pay, from the pharmacy - all this in 20 min, and he Does Not rush me - told me to take my time).
He said there's a lot of soft tissue damage, no fracture, and I have fluid on the knee.
He could have drained it, but as it's already going down, he's going to leave it. Plus the fact that I have an abrasion on my knee, he doesn't want to chance getting an internal infection from the abrasion.
I'm going to take it easy, cuz I do have a lot of bruising, and the soreness in my chest - he determined it was as I said - twisting as I fell.

Glad to hear it is nothing serious Susan! Just take it easy, and not too much jogging! ^_^

I will indeed print it because if I use 20%off at one joanns then I could have the 15% one for the other joanns..one is a larger store but sometimes I find more in the one next onthe border..when I was at grannies at tick last time she told me of another quilt shop just miles from the Canadian border, will try and make a stop there and see if they've different patterns

Asked Mel if she wanted to come with us but she is off to a spa for the weekend..her bio dad gives her a certificate every Christmas for a gorgeous retreat hotel so no an come with me

Well it will just have to wait Susan, get those knitting needles out and make something for that new grandchild!

Betty, the magazine is called Fashion Fusion. I don't know if the next issue is out as yet. I always have to ask at the counter as they keep it out of reach. The back cover has 6 or 8 coupons 2 for 50% and the rest for 40%.


I have my canaries in a large flight cage, the cat cannot get to them but loves to climb all over the cage. Birds know they are safe and just ignore her.

Karen, are you able to use those coupons even though you are using the 20% of entire order?

I don't think so but you could use the coupons for the most expensive items, and ring up the rest separately and use the 20% off.

Yeah M Long Hand Math!!! I made a big mess of it too because I am not good at math and I cannot do it in my head. The long hand division kept tripping me out, I kept saying to myself, "REALLY??? What happened to the computer tests????" And no sweetie, it's not Saturday LOL!!

Now I have another interview on Tuesday, at another staffing company. There are 2 different jobs, unfortunately one pays $12.00 an hr and the other pays $12.50 an hr, but the lower paid one did sound fun so I told her I would meet with her. I want to talk to the hiring manager and see if we can get that pay bumped up to, saaayyyy, $15.00 minimum??? A middle aged single woman who owns a house and 2 cars can't make it on $12.00 an hour.

Boredom has settled in. I wish I had a place to craft.

Melanie dropped in and stayed an hour, asked while they are on vacation in the islands would I pick up Noah from work, said I would..maybe he and I could do supper and a show one night

Hated to ask how he is doing but thought I better. Mel said this week you could really see him trying, he went to his doctor's Monday, said he finally confided in him re drug use, doctor gave him meds..Mel said no sense getting it filled Noah because you don't take meds but he assured her he's tired of being as he is and wants help, wow, double wow..

You have to know Greg, what he owns is always showroom condition, looks after all..Noah asked to borrow his seldom day, Greg said ok, Tuesday he said ok, Wednesday ok, last night Noah called Mel, had a bit of an accident, not major but a scratch to Greg would be like a write off but greg took it will, said he had an extra panel and it was ok. Shhhissshhh

Know there are still to be ups and downs but it is positive news

As for how I'm doing I think I'm finally over the cold,hungry and more energetic and sooo looking forward to Buffalo for the day tomorrow, even the weather knows I need an outing and is cooperating. News yesterday was saying how many died because of cold/flu, can't recall exact numbers but think it was in the 60's

Oh i went to fill out an application at a boutique . I m so hoping to get this job !!!!! its flexible hrs. she only needs someone for up to 15 hrs. i can make my own hrs. ! this would work well, extra money to help pay for school . My savings is drained from the dog :( ( kicking myself )
She won't make her decision until next monday ? ! the 26th.
I have no updated computer skills. :(. i mean really how many people are applying for a job that is 8.50 an hr and only 15 hrs. ? but that money will pay for school and be an extra for grocerys.

Betty, I'm sorry I forgot to give you my suet recipe.

3 c. Cornmeal
1 c. Flour
1 c. Lard (or shortening)
1 c. Peanut Butter (I used chunky)

Mix all together. The Birds LOVE it! I put the mixture in the microwave for half a minute to get it a little softer. It's easier to stir if you do.

Sorry - thought I'd posted the Dr's results re: x-rays
He told me I have a lot of soft-tissue damage, and fluid on the knee. No fractures or anything like that.
He could drain my knee, but I had an abrasion and he didn't want to use a needle on my knee and have a chance of infection. Also, as the swelling was going down, he felt the fluid was dissipating so it was doing well. I'm walking a lot better on it. Not having to take many T3's either. My sore chest is from the twisting I did, in the fall down the stairs.
So, all-in-all, I just have to wait for the bruising to heal.

Early morning rising here, been watching movies since 1:30, no can sleep
Rita won't be here until 6:30am..haven't done anything since weeks before Christmas so perhaps it's the excitement

Thoughts this morning are with Barbara/Norm and David ..hoping things are going well and david is improving.

Good news!!! David came out of ICU and into a cardiac surgical room late yesterday afternoon. After only 24 hours. I am amazed. Norm saw him in ICU yesterday morning and will see him again this morning. I was hoping to go too but the temp here is only 3* so I am staying put. With all the visits to the hospital, I have been lucky not to pick up anything. I really don't need any kind of a cold right now. I will be calling there in a bit to see how he is doing this morning. He couldn't talk last night as his throat was still very sore and he was still quite hoarse.
I can't thank all of you enough for all your good wishes and prayers. There is no doubt in my heart that they kept him from harm and that he is on the road to recovery.

Still have David and you in my thoughts and prayers, Barb.

I know some of you know Bonnie (defoecat). Horrible news. Her son and his girlfriend were found dead yesterday. They're doing an autopsy to find the cause. Please keep her and Wayne in your prayers.

M, I'm reading gone girl right now. I'm trying to do some deep cleaning here so I haven't been at it long or regularly. No spoilers, please!! 🙉

I'm going to have to check Gone Girl out, I'm curious! We watched Scorpion King 4 last night, VERY GOOD!! We were both impressed.

OMG Joyce!! That's horrible, prayers are being sent to the families.

Supposed to be in the low 60's today and full sun, so I'm going to go out later and rake the leaves I never raked this fall. They have migrated to a corner on the side of the house so it should be fairly easy. I have a bum right shoulder, pinched nerve, because of the reaching I did at my old job. I never did get my paperwork for my commissions either, guess I'll text my ex-boss on Monday and let him know I never received them, if that doesn't work I'll get an attorney.

Nothing else going on, Joel's still asleep, think I'm going to go play some Skyrim on X-Box

No, I didn't LK, I was being wrote up right and left and was just trying to keep my job. I will be mentioning this when I have the review with unemployment.

The 'computer room' is right beside the laundry area and the dryer just buzzed, I just jumped 50ft and screamed! LOL!!!

Barb I don't blame you for staying in, he is doing great!! So glad to hear, he will now have a long good life ahead of him.

I'm bored as all getout, Joel is still sick with bronchitis (since 3 days before Thanksgiving) and I am worried about him, this is how people die from Pneumonia. He says he's not very short of breath but his cough is long, drug out, and very dry. He can't hardly use an inhaler because his lungs hurt too bad to let the air out of them. I have got to get a job so he can go back to the doc.

Prayers continuing...

Sending prayers for Joel too. That is too long o be coughing like that!

If it hurts Joel to exhale, it could be a touch of pluresy (sp) That can be very painful and usually takes a good bout of antibiotics to get rid of it....

Oh ouch, I had pleurisy one! I wanted to die.
