Karen I don't want to get out the wet noodles! LOL!!!

Debbie did she write a paper or just fill out the form? Here I have to go get an appeals form and fill it out, and add a letter if I want. I want to add a letter plus a few items lol but I don't want to overspeak myself and get it denied again.

I will check into the health thing, wonder if that has anything to do with Obamacare.

Well the hits come every day, Joel has a hernia. He can't take any time off work so I don't know what we're going to do there.

This is depressing times.

Betty you better take care of yourself!!

Well this computer crashes every 15 minutes so I need to send this....

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Now I forgot what I was going to say LOL!! I should be asking for donations to the poor and needy, maybe stand outside in the cold with a sign that says "I've been screwed by several so in so's!" Haha!!

Katie I'm glad you're feeling better!

Look at all of that sewing!!! When I get back on my feet I'm going to make a craft room!

Karen I have little faith in the medical field also, but you have to do what they suggest, I'm glad that they are keeping you there for a bit!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Maybe Crissy do it right in front of previous employers doors?

Karen, what faith you don't have with doctors think if it's not better than doing nothing..those attacks could have been fatal. Are they giving you something to keep you calm..how long are you normally in hospital for such a procedure? Is there anyone that could let us know you are ok?

Good job Joyce, you will sleep better knowing in the morning when you go looking for a utensil you'll have no problem finding it

In bed, sprayed myself with freeze, hot toddy getting cold so best I drink up

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Joyce, how come your posting photo's of my utensil drawer? ^_^
Actually Todd did yours yesterday. it was to the point we could not find anything.

Betty, I love that tree! I need to find that pattern, what is it called please? And who makes it?

(thunder)Wildwood, FL(Zone 9a)

Chrissy good to see you. Sorry about your troubles. Do any of the churches nearby have food banks? Some, sometimes have some funds to help with bills, used to anyways many years ago.
Betty, hope you get to feeling better quickly. Gentle hugs to you. Tree is just gorgeous :)
Karen... ohhh my!! Gentle hugs and healthy wishes for you. So glad your hubs was there to help you.
Katie, happy you are starting to feel better, and being smart, not rushing into anything, too much too soon. Gentle hugs to you too.
great big arm wraps for the rest of you!

(thunder)Wildwood, FL(Zone 9a)

Fons and Porter does the pattern Linda. I bought it from Missouri star quilts.
Going to send you a d mail.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Betty I will come let you know when all is over. It's a quick and easy procedure, I'll be totally awake just a local to numb the area for the cath. They are going to try and do it at my wrist which is better than the groin as I won't be immobilized as much. Had to laugh at the young man who had to come in and prep the groin just in case. Hes still a bit uncomfortable with the whole thing so I joked with him a lot.

Thunder Bay Ontario, ON(Zone 3a)

Karen .. best of luck, and, hugs and prayers ..
Laughing re the 'groin prep, .. always an uncomfortable moent on both sides, but you handled it well ..
I used to have to prep fellers for their hernia surgeries, go rid of our orderlies .. so .. know how he feels ..
Perhaps you just need a STENT .. pretty quick ,,

Crissy .. all the very best ...

Betty .. hope you feel better and Katie, glad you are feeling better :-)

Flippin well freeze yer tushie off weather here !!!! Haven't ventured out except for some wood ..

Grocery shoppin tomorrow ..

Take care, stay well

Joyce - strip the lacquer off, put a primer/sealer on, then paint

Everyone's fine, but Bob, Doug & I were in a car accident. We were on an entry road into WalMart parking lot, and a fellow on another part of the parking lot was crossing in front of us - did not yield, and hit my car - just twisted his step-up on his F150, but (because it was so cold) totally shattered the bumper on my car - my car sits lower (2007 Chevy Cobalt) so he got No damage basically.
The lights work fine on mine, but forgot to check to see if I can pop the hood on my car.... It's totally drivable.
Bob was driving, and I was in front passenger seat, with Doug behind me. So, damage done on Bob's side bumper......
Reported it to the police, and don't know if it will be 50/50 or just what - I'll call insurance company tomorrow....

btw - Church service was lovely, and they were very welcoming - joined them for coffee afterwards and met the Minister. Looking forward to attending Choir Practice on Thurs evening.........
It's where I applied for a job, so hope I get church and job in one lol

Crissy, i have medicaid. Yes its part of the Obamacare plan. but you need to apply pronto ! its close to a deadline.... i think ?
also i used to go to Salavation Army's . they do weekly or monthly grocery bags, also do emergency electric bill payouts. You could also get a social worker and they will help you with other outlets and job searches. They can have some good hook ups . Applying for foodstamps takes a few weeks. If i remember correclty.
BTW Crissy.. i do have a lovely basement. :) just saying . ;)
Susan glad church was nice and comforting.
sorry to hear about your car accident. make sure he doesn't get a lawyer and sues you ... seriously,, people do that even if they are at fault. crazy.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Susan, glad to hear no one was injured in that accident.

Karen, we will be there in spirit holding your hand when you have your procedure done. Let us know when it is done!

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Susan am glad you all are ok!!

Sue that's a great idea too! I will take all of these ideas with me, I'm taking notes.

I have a very good resume and the internet has a world of job leads, but I am going to use all avenues I can. Maybe I can find a full time or two part time jobs before unemployment does anything regarding the appeal.

I'm going to bed, Joel's working tomorrow and I'm going to get out early and deal with the deals.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Crissy, try yahoo job search. Enter your town and location, it will show you all that is available.

Lyndonville, NY

Crissy, up here everything is done on line. I know she filled out a form, wrote an explanation and then an Adjuster called her to talk. Is not easy getting hold of a human to talk too it seems!!

ALSO...try Indeed.com Is great for Job searches.

The wind here is horrible, and I am going to loose connections. I can tell

Sweet dreams all.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Crissy - make sure your resume is eye-catching, without being cutesy......
a sharp-looking one catches the eye, and looks professional.
I have one that people have called me in for an interview, based on how mine looked different than any other they'd seen.......
I'll send it to your email, and you can use the format if you wish. Just send me your email via D-mail
:-)

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

I'm up, can't sleep.

Debbie I use Indeed.Com more than any other job search!! It's so easy to use, especially when you can just click a button to send your resume! Seems like Monster and others have taken a back seat in that area. To get the appeal form we have to go to the office and get it. Arkansas is in the dark ages sometimes.

Susan my email is christinewhitney72@yahoo.com. My resume was actually done by Monster in 1996 and I just keep adding onto it. That interview I had last week for the Administrative Assistant V position was pulled from a recruiter who saw my resume on Indeed.Com, and even though I wasn't qualified for the position the interviewers at the job mentioned numerous times about how good my resume looks, but yeah I'd love to see yours, everybody likes different things and I'll probably both templates. Lol!

Lk I saved your link as a favorite!

Since I'm up I want to apply for more jobs but I'm not sure if applying at midnight is such a good idea. Lol!

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

ok Crissy - it's sent to your email

Victoria Harbour, ON

Susan, thank goodness there were no injuries ..do you have no fault insurance as well in Alberta?

Crissy seems you have a good plan, now to put in in the works

Victoria Harbour, ON

Wednesday will be our coldest day Barb
Maybe you can get it moved to an earlier day

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Betty, my doctor doesn't want me to go out if the temps are below 35!!!!! I have done what he told me last year and never had a cold so I will do it again this year. It makes for a long time inside sometimes but worth it to me. I only go out for a doctor appointment and I did go out on Christmas. I also go out if I have to have blood drawn. In and out and home...... I miss being able to go shopping or just window shopping but spring will come again......

(thunder)Wildwood, FL(Zone 9a)

Healthy and healing thoughts today for Karen, and my niece Kim.Kim is having complete mastectomy today. Prayers and good thoughts for her would be highly appreciated. One of her boys (just turned 16) is really having a hard time with it. Thoughts for him too. Please and thanks.
chilly here this morn, only 58. I know, I know ... warm by northern standards. But darn cold to us.
Hugs and love

Victoria Harbour, ON

Spring will come before you know it. Always best to listen to what doctor has to say..have a friend who has trouble with breathing but must go out..found one of my neck dickies with deer hide that wind can't oenetrate, think it will be a gift..

Just made a hot toddy, Lordy I've been using up that bottle of rye I got last year, starting to feel like a drinker. Did I say I was tired of this 'sick' or 'aching bones'?? If I haven't the know I am

Victoria Harbour, ON

Ending prayers for the family thunder..overwhelming for them for sure

(thunder)Wildwood, FL(Zone 9a)

Prayers for all those in need. Karen, Kim, Betty, Crissy, Katie .. so many ..

-40 here .. with a wind .. going GROCERY shopping .. will take a deep breath t the back door, inside, and run like H to the garage, warm the car up and turn the bum warmers on so Lorna won't too bad a jolt, she uses her walker to get to the car .. and, it isn't a fast mode of travel, but, she is just happy to be able to walk !! Amazing woman that one ..

Oie, Susan .. what a horrible thing to have happen, so glad no one was injured ..nic to hear you enjoyed the Church too ..

Will be thinking of Karen at 2pm .. if she does look in the corner of the treatment room (Like I did when I went to the OR) she just may see a bit of a flurry, I knew it was all of you waving as I was put out.

Guess I should bandage my baby toe ... it's almost all better .. just bandage it for protection ..
Gord and I go to our family doctor tomorrow ... have head nothing since Dec. 17th .. fingers crossed !!!

TOODLES

Victoria Harbour, ON

That is cold "M" keep it in your neck of the woods.
Ahhhh what a nice thought re our visit to the waiting room, am sure Karen will feel us there as well

In organizing my quilt books this morning I found a photo copy of a shawl with sleeves, thought I might do it for someone then it came to me, hey why not me, I'm always cold

Only have bits of wool but it wouldn't hurt if it were a scrappy shawl now would it

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sending prayers as well Thunder for all involved!

It is 32 right now, temps are supposed to reach mid 50's this afternoon.

Betty, is there not a pharmacy that delivers orders?

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Lyndonville, NY

Its 17 here with real feel of -6 (-8c / -21c) and snowing. Supposed to get several inches
snow over the next few days as it is coming off Lake Ontario from Betty & Dianne!!!

Prayers with you Karen, and also to all in need.

Stay warm and safe. Hopefully I don't have to leave the house til Wednesday when DH
has his next eye appointment, although I haven't left except to cross the street and get the mail
since Dec. 28...no desire. Done in.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

spoke to insurance company - they figure the vehicle on the left (him) should have yielded to the vehicle on the right (us) and he would be 100% at fault.
In Alberta we have multiple insurance companies - no such thing as no-fault insurance.....
The insurance company would pay for a rental while we get the car fixed - if it's a repair depot that is registered with our insurance company we get it without paying anything (or maybe a cash deposit which we would get returned?!?!)
I figure the repair would cost $3k easily.......
Anyway, off to Anne's, with my cell phone fully charged and I'm available should they call me today (or tomorrow).

Victoria Harbour, ON

Was on my way to be with Karen at the hospital..you all will have to hold her hand..
need a tow truck, should have been able to get out at least that part of the driveway, wasn't sure on the municipal bank section but didn't consider ICE under the snow..going nowhere ...

Hoping to get out and get a few meds

here praying and thinking of you Karen..
