😛
good morning!
Morning everyone! Coffee is ready!
I'll take iced coffee Queen Linda
Hold on, it will be done in a few minutes!
Thank you, off to have my nails done. want to come?
I had mine done last week. Pretty red glitter tips!
Can I come...I want mine painted purple! :-)
Me! Me, too!
I think she is ignoring us Cookie.
You got that right, Maid M!
Y'all can come. I had to go back, because my guy that does my nails had a hang over, and didn't get there to eleven. So I went to Wally World , and the fat dr. While I waited. Then on my way home I got some groceries. Now I am doing laundry, changing the bed, and gonna clean the bath rooms, as our septic problem is fixed! We finished it yesterday. Yay!
So as you can see, I was not ignoring you.
Yes, you're ignoring us, and didn't you say there are how many comedians out of work? So sis.. it ain't funny when you don't want to treat us to a purple nail painting session!!!
ROFL!!!
Hello everyone!! Mosquitoes are relentless when the rains stopped. We're getting more in the next few days, and not good for Monsieur Kelvinator!! He has outdoor training tomorrow, even if it's raining. Poor guy would be soaking wet , and you'd think the state would have some common sense as to halt the training? Last year it was like that. Supposed to toughen up the guys, but then aren't the prisoners indoors all the time?
I am trying to have a positive attitude with him around. It's hard, but sometimes my acid tongue makes matters worse. He was complaining on the rate of crime in Tabor City going up and local police not working.. yada yada yada.
Told him that without felons, HE will be out of work.. yah... that's bad huh?.
If I remember right, last year he got really sick? Make sure he takes a nice hot shower when he gets home! Take extra vitamin C!
We could use some of that rain Jaye. We have had a few showers but nothing to really do any good so far. My sister, however, is getting plenty of rain...maybe she will send me some.
Oh no, not good weather for training. Tell Kel to put his big boy pants on! :-)
Well, I guess Kim has a case of food poisoning. Trying to figure out what she ate that I didn't. She is doing much better but very sore and weak for all the uproar. Hello Gatorade!!!! Gatorade and saltines for her tonight.
Sorry to hear that Marion! Something she ate at school? Kim, get better soon!
Prayers for Kim. Hope she feels better soon.
If Kim is as sick as Norm was with food poisoning, she won't be well for a couple more days. It took him four days to recover and I must admit I have never seen anyone as sick as he was. It was horrible. Hope she is on the recovery road Marion.
Prayers continue for your Dad LK>....
No surgery yet for Dad. My Sister spent the whole day with Dad waiting for him to be prepped and no one did as nothing. The Dr. Got busy with emergency patients. Maybe tomorrow?
Well the throwing up has stopped and she is only living on Gatorade and crackers. We shall see what tomorrow brings. A little upsetting as it was the first day of classes and she got sick. What a way to make an impression on your new students!
Barb, is Norm doing okay?
LK, the preparations and waiting is absolutely the worst part.
Just got off the phone with Sue. Tomorrow will be the 1 year anniversary of Mom's death and although we both are sad, I am extremely happy how she is taking it. Talk about coming a long ways!!!
Glad to hear Sue is doing better.
My sister is going into hospital on Wednesday for knee replacement. Although she hates to think about it she is looking forward to be able to walk without pain. After this ordeal she has to go through same procedure for other knee. Few prayers would be appreciated. Prayers for your dad, LK and for Kim that she can return to her classes soon.
We got a little rain the other night, was so happy but it didn't help much. Rained harder in other places, hope this is a sign of a nice wet winter.
Son brought home some nice red tomatoes. I just make myself a tomato and cheese sandwich. They are so good and I manage to get juice all over me.
Talked to social security and she said I didn't have to send back Darwin's pay for July. Glad to hear that, but just couldn't talk her into sending both of our checks each month. It has been one month since I lost him and still feel he is around. It has been a rough year so far for so many.
Well, not sure if the teacher will be in the classroom tomorrow or not. She wanted homemade veggie soup and she just tried the broth..no go. Shall see what happens in the morning.
Pegi, the is perfectly normal to still feel Darwin's presence. If will become comforting as the days pass. Saying a prayer for your sister's knee replacement. I thought maybe that was what I was headed for when I had to go to the doctor last week but he said no. Also long as I get relief and it holds for as long as it does, then we won't rush into surgery. Feeling great now, walking and exercising so the knee doesn't get stiff.
We had a rainstorm and there are more clusters all around us but so far no more.
Off to bed. I think I keep the girls tomorrow...not sure yet.
thank you for my Bday wishes. Tom took me to a nice restaurant and we had a wonderful meal and he is great complany
Cookie! .... Hussy ? ! ...... * blush*........... yes im.........
Lk i m sorry to hear of your dad leg. sending you and him prayers and hugs.
Pegi i sometimes feel Jessica's presence with me..... The other week i could swear i woke from sleep because i felt an presence as if curled up next to me.... ? i thought i went bonkers ? but i just couldn't shake the feeling .
Marion wonderful to hear about Sue and how she is doing. She has come so far .
Food poisoning is the worst !!!! don't wish it on anyone....... well maybe there are a few people i may think deserve it ...... just saying.
Glad to hear Kim is doing better.
Jaye how is the headache doing ? . Hope Kel doesn't get sick from his rain training .
good night ladies
off to bed , sleep well to you all
Sending prayers as well for your Sis Pegi!
I love fresh tomato's! I wish we had a farmers market here that sold them! All we get are greenhouse maters, and they are mostly green in the stores!
Your lucky you did not have to pay back his SS. When my Mom passed away, we got notice we had to pay hers back, even though there was only 3 days left of her month. We had to pay it all back!
Sending prayers for your sister Pegi and keeping everyone in my prayers as well.
Norm is fine now Marion. His discomfort lasted about four days. He got sick on Friday and still had twinges on Monday but went to work anyway. He now takes his lunch so he knows what he is eating.
Food he buys during the day, he doesn't always know what it is made from. He goes for his lactose intolerance test later this month and will then know if he is for sure. He has never had a lactose problem before - just these last three months. I didn't realize you could become that way at any time!! I have questions for his gastro doctor when this test is complete. I'll let you know the results when the testing is done.
Sue, I am so glad you posted what you did about feeling Jessica's presence. I have had the same feeling and thought people would say I was silly. I still every now and then feel like someone is sitting on the bed by me at night...guess it is just Ross checking on me.
LK we do have a farmer's market but unless you are there before sun up you won't get any tomatoes. That is so odd as we live right in the middle of a huge area of tomato farms. I am used to being able to go to the fields and pick left overs after harvest is finished but here, they just plow them under. Seems such a waste to me.
Well, no go for school. Kim declined the soup broth for some jello and that wouldn't stay down. Not sure now if it actually is food poisoning or the bug she contracted last summer while in the Dominican Republic. It does flair up every now and then and acts the same.
Sorry ladies, coffee is on.....fresh huge pot of DDs best. Just make sure you leave Jaye a cup.
Good morning. Prayers for Kim to get feeling better.
I have plenty of maters, come and get them.
Jordan invited me here but if it is not ok I can go. 71 year old married for 48years male who just came back from a weeks fishing on a sailboat in Alaska. The fishing was great the catching was poor but we did get about 180 pounds of filleted fish for the three of us to share. I brought back just under 50 pounds of mostly halibut. This kept me under the limit to keep the airlines from clobbering me with over wt fees.
I live on two acres which is heavy with flower beds and fruit trees. Besides the garden area I have blueberries and raspberries and a few strawberries. I share these all with the Golden Horde my three Golden retrievers and our two cats our five cockatiels , 4 parakeets and Bunny the GH Bunny. Also but not least are 9 working girls [ laying hens] 8 chicklets for replacements one of which is a rooster so off with his head. Four Chinese pheasants round out the line up that share our home.
Welcome to the group! Scroll up and come on over to the new room! Sounds like you keep busy!
