Room 291 of the Sweet Interruptions Hotel.
ROFLOL Synda. Men!! During Ross' illness he was given meds that would change the urine color....it was so funny to hear some of his comments when this would happen. Gotta love these guys.
Busy week here, keep the girls most every day and I might add we had a blast.......good time but grandma is tired. I will need the weekend to recover.
Sue have a great time at the fair.....good luck to Savannah.
Love, love the machine cover Barb. I am finally getting some order in the sewing/craft area so hopefully I will be able to start a cover for my and Kim's machine.
Insert huge grin here, Kim's first day turned out much better than she expected inspite of have majorly large classes. Of course some students will be dropping (those who haven't past remedial English) the class so that will help. I still will never understand why students who can't pass English are put into a Spanish class....duh, do they think they will miraculously be able to do Spanish?
I hope everyone has a great weekend, be safe and above all have fun!!!
OH MY! Synda, that is so funny!
Love that cover Barb! And that pin cushion! Very nice!
Marion, glad to hear you enjoyed the girls, hope you get some rest this week end!
Good luck at the fair Sue!
Love the machine cover Barb, are those swap squares?
Our fair starts today, looking at the schedule to see which day to go. Down state we were less than a mile from the State fair site, loved to go to that one. My mom used to enter her tatting up here and after she won top prize, I would take it and enter for her at the State Fair, She would win there too.
Gee Marion that just makes so much sense. Can't do English? Well here, have a shot at Spanish then. At the rate we're going it'll probably end up our official language anyhow.
Jenny had a tutorial to make that cute chicken pincushion. I was gifted with one and just love it.
Sue hope goes good at the fair .........
Barb that is a really cute cover !
Marion it is so wonderful to hear the joy in your spirit again! I can just feel your happiness !!
Linda Kay it is so very nice you got to see Betty and had such a wonderful visit !
Karen have fun at the fair ! Tatting is one thing I would of learned to do .It is so beautiful !
Synda, tatting isn't hard but it's very tedious. My mom taught me but I didn't like it much. She also taught my DD and her oldest son. DD still works it from time to time. As good as my mother was with it, she used the very finest thread I told her it looked like spider webs. She used to make me yards and yards of lace to use on little girls heirloom style dresses.
Big smile here for Synda! I watch "Colin", too!!
So today is the Thomas reunion. I made a quinoa salad for my vegan. Celiac SIL. I'm making green beans (she is, too) mine will have ham in them! I made a 7 layer salad and I'm in the process of doing cucumbers in vinegar and sugar water. Guess that will be all of my contribution. I am wondering if I should think about a dessert though. I think someone is bringing a fruit salad and my DIL is bringing apple pie, so I guess if no other desserts come we'll just make do!!
It's a beautiful day, thank you all for your weather prayers!
Have a great day Cookie !
The squares in the machine cover are from a charm pack. 5" X 5". You use 24 and the sides are one piece of fabric 8" X 10" Very easy to do....I did line mine as I didn't want batting next to the machine. Bind it and you are done!!!!
Please say prayers for my Dad. The Dr.'s just left his room and he knows he will have to have his leg amputated up to the groin due to lack of circulation. Surgery will probably happen Monday or so. He is so depressed and was crying when I just talked to him.
Oh Linda - My thoughts and prayers are with you girl. I feel so bad for your Dad. Will you be going up to see him? I will continue to hold you close...
Not right away. I am paying for my Brother to go see him, from Denver. I will go in a month or two!
Lk, so sorry to hear that about your dad....prayers here also.
Cookie, you sound so like my mom and me, humm, maybe I should prepare just one more dish just in case. I chalked mine up to being Southern but I guess it knows no geographical location after all.
Hope the reunion was fun. Our family will have one the first part of October.
LK - so sorry to hear about your dad......... what an awful shock for him, no wonder he's crying.....
I will pray for him, and the family
on a lighter note - for all you gardeners out there........ lol

Love that sign Susan!
Thanks for the prayers everyone!
The cover's gorgeous Barb! I have lots of charm packs laying around, and two machines need their own covers. The main one that I used, since it's in the dining room, I just use a plastic tub, the cats can then sleep on it. Thanks Barb.
Synda, my late grandma tat. She did sets of doilies and our brothers may have given them away when mum passed away. They claimed that one of the sistahs took them, I don't think so!
No patience to tat here, Karen. Tried to learn, but I'm all thumbs. Did see that chicken pin cushion by Jenny. She has this new tutorial "Jump Rings" which look so simple for jelly rolls.
Marion, back to being by yourself during the days! Ahhh... you'd miss your cohort!!
Cookie, late grandad loved simple vinegared, sugared cucumbers. He'd add hot peppers to his relish and when we were kids, we'd begged him not to include the peppers. He'd complied and made some just for us.
Oh dear, Linda....
I think I had mentioned before that when my father's mother was told her leg needed to be amputated, she had a fatal heart attack right away. But it's the way the doctor did it. He thought grandma was hard of hearing, and screamed at her.......
Will be saying, yes, heavy duty prayers that all goes well for your dad. What a wonderful sister you are, paying for your brother's way.
I have a migraine attack.. call it a cluster you know what! Kel laughed when he tried to correct me.. I threw a book at him. Still haven't learn not to upset the queen when she has a headache!! And no, he doesn't know what chartreuse is neither!!
Rest well my sistahs. Wet, muggy and urgghh so warm too!
Susan I'll return to view the video. Can't concentrate much now.
Susan...........groan... Lol!
Sorry to hear about your headache Jaye! Check your blood pressure! That may be the culprit!
Will do, LK/
Awww Linda Kay I am so very sorry about your dad ! I Will add him in my Prayers !!!
Jaye my sinus will even cause me to have migraines .
We love vinegar sugar cucumbers and creamed cucumbers .We add rings of onions to both dishes .
Susan that is a cute sign.....LOL
Linda, so sorry about you dad. Holding you close in my heart, and sending prayers for your dad.
Thanks everyone!
Kathy, how are ou doing?
I can't stand up for more than five minutes, or my hip and leg throb and go numb. I get that radio frequency procedure done Tuesday, and if it works it should last a year. Keep your finger crossed that it works, the pain is so bad.
Sorry to hear your in a lot of pain. Sending prayers for your procedure.
Kathy ,I hate that you are in so much pain ! Sending Prayers that the radio frequency procedure works and you are Pain FREE !!!!!!!! ♥
Sending prayers for your dad, LK. Kathy, hope the procedure goes well and you will be pain free. Some of the areas got rain and we got nothing!. We just can't go through another winter without much rain. Don't think we may ever need the ark again.
Went out in the yard and saw all the weeds I'm going to have to get rid of. Big job coming up, seems my son is cleaning up things in the garage but doesn't see the weeds and pine needles piling up. Of course, he doesn't want to see them
Thanks for the prayers and well wishes.
It actually rained yesterday. At least I think it was rain. It was wet stuff coming from the sky?
LK, I'm so sorry about your dad. My prayers are being added as well.
Sissy, when you're in so much pain, you shouldn't be inviting people to come for dinner!!! But like I told you I'm praying for you to be pain free, too.
Reunion was quite the success. Had plenty of desserts so glad I didn't make anything. Have some yummy leftovers in the frig. I'm looking forward to those. I finally went in the house at 10. Only some guys left at that point and I was exhausted. Watched two episodes of "Unforgettable" and hit the sack. Slept like a baby.
I'm teaching a garden club a class to make mini mushrooms on Tuesday. I had to make the stems ahead of time. Club president called yesterday and told me there are 25 coming but I might want to prepare for 27 or 28. I only made stems for 20 to have two each soooooo guess I'll have to make a few more today. Then I have to figure out how I'm going to get supplies in my trunk to make that many. Wish me luck!!
Sounds like a fun class. Wish I was closer!
Wish you were, too, LK. You could be my lovely assistant!
Happy Birthday, Hussy!! 😃
Happy Birthdday Sue!!!!
Happy birthday sue
Happy birthday Sue~ don't try to blow all those candles!
Good luck on your class Cookie! Send those great dessert leftovers over!
Sis Kathy, you must learn to say no.
No is not in my vocabulary
