Where is Bob working? Glad to hear your going through the refresher course, hope it will make our job easier!

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Admin. must have pulled the posts by Christina cause couldn't find any "bad"ones. Well, over and done with, who needs nasty people in their lives.

Need prayers for my brother, Bud. He was doing fine after they removed his kidney, but think the chemo pills are causing problems. When SIL told me he doesn't eat much and doesn't drink much water I began to see the pattern I went through. They put him in the hospital for low BP and his oxygen was low. I guess he got good lectures from his doctors. The humidity in New Orleans was a little too much for him and he wasn't feeling good. Thank God he has a good wife who takes good care of him.

Short and curly salt & pepper hair now. Couldn't stand that long hair on my neck. Now if we can only get rid of the hot weather. We are suffering from high humidity too and we softies aren't used to that.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sorry to hear about your brother Pegi. Sending prayers.

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Prayers from me, too, Pegi.

Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)

Sending Prayers for Bud and you all ♥

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

Prayers for Bud and family.

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Thank all of you for prayers. Being dizzy doesn't seem to keep him away from the Elks lodge. I don't think he should have taken on all these duties so soon after he had his kidney removed, but that wasn't stopping him. Maybe that is what is going to keep him going. Men can be so stubborn at times.

When our trash man came one of the wheels on the bin came off and think it went into the trash truck. I hope the driver reported it so they can send out a new one or at least fix this one. I'll have to call on Monday and find out. I'm not using a broken bin for the price they charge us.

Each time I get on the computer I'm hoping all those stupid ads quit popping up, but they don't. At least I can get on DG and play my pogo games until I can get the geek squad to go through it.

Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)

Pegi I have an Anti Virus program plus ,SpyBot Search & Destroy . It's to get rid of Adware ! It's free to download and use .......Here is the link .

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

There is a Pop-up blocker but it interferes a bit with Pogo games. In Pogo unless you have a paid membership, you get the ads during the games. I got the membership, to me it is worth it, plus there are many more games available to members. Kind of like in here, more bennies.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone! Coffee is ready!

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Good morning LK. Meant to ask how you made out with your sports quilt?

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

Morning everyone, got time for one more cup of coffee, then off to church I go.
Have a great day everyone.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Still working on it Barb. It is for a Christmas gift, so still lots of time!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Morning sistahs.
Can't chat long, gonna be one challenging day.
Taskmaster here have to make sure Kel follows the list before taking MIL to visit her cancer stricken brother. And I had agreed to go along. That man is the only relative that has been very cordial with me.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sorry to hear about her Brother! Will add him to our prayers! Hope it is not too bad for you today!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

Stay strong Jaye, I'm praying for you and him

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Well, got one thing accomplished today! Finally got a hold of the geek squad and had them go through computer. Had a virus and now he has me back on track. Thanks Synda, for the link for spybot. Making note of it for future reference. I too paid for membership for pogo, when I first started it was $19.95 and it sure jumped since then. The pop up ads nearly drive me crazy. Funny I had my Dell for almost 10 years and really no problems and now HP for 4 months and problems pop up. Well, I'm paying for support so better use it when I have to. Very friendly agents too. I was concerned about Internet Explorer since they were having some issues, but gal said it was fine now. I use Google most of the time but I needed to know. LOL

I'm not crazy about Sundays any more. I'm alone with the dogs and still feel lonely. I never see my neighbors out, well maybe that's a good thing. I have plenty to keep me busy, guess I should put on some music.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Glad you're back on track Pegi. I play under SiliOleGma so if you see me give a shout. I've been using Google Chrome for some time and like it.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Thank you Sis Kathy and LK.
Uncle Lenue asked for continued prayers. He has stage 4 pancreatic cancer.
Visit didn't go well, MIL gave me a headache.
Then in the car, she kept saying how GOOD he looks, and he's not showing any pain. I won't chalk it up to optimism, she wants to be worse than any dying man remember?

This man and his wife, up to now are still supporting their incorrigible son, (40) who's been in and out of jail, living under their roof.. call it unconditional love? I call it enabling their son to reach hell sooner.
Then the son's forever cussing at them! The funny part is MIL when she gets upset with Kel want to move in with them.
I hope so..

((((((Pegi))))) Don't stare too hard at the 4 walls on Sundays. Soon you'd be able to repurpose some 'junk'!!! You have so much talent, maybe you could find a sewing machine and we'll gladly send you some fabric for Sewing Sunday.

I think I'll just grab some mags and clear this head for a bit..

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Julie has the fairy swap open.

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Will be looking for you in pogo games Karen. Jaye, I have a sewing machine that hasn't been opened in 14 years. Shame on me!! Right now it is piled high with junk. I've seriously been thinking of cleaning up, maybe moving my machine to bedroom, and see if I still know how to thread a needle. My machine is 54 years old, first piece of furniture I bought when we moved to California.
Mom really wanted me to learn, but she was such a good seamstress and always willing to help us out. Wish I had gotten interested long before now. I do have material I could practice on. Used to buy material with cute small prints that we would stiffen and cut out for crafts.

Starting to cool down so I should do something constructive.

good sunday to you all
Sending prayers to those in special need.
Cookie hope your tummy is better.

I love you to Sue. I will have you I my thoughts and prayers.
My brothers birthday is the same day as yours.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Good morning sistahs.

Pegi, it's never too late to learn. Nowadays, there are so many help for beginners, online. Check out Youtube for tutorials, and one online site that I love to go to is www.allpeoplequilt.com If that site doesn't inspire you, then I've failed in recruiting! Lol!

Sue, you got a big heart. Take time to breathe with all you'd be having on your list.

Sis Kathy, Cookie, how are you both doing?

It's muggy and such a 'wonderful' roasting temperature! Only good thing about high humidity, it's keeping our skin moisturized.

Have a wonderful Tuesday everyone.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Oh.. sorry.. it's Monday!! See what humidity can do to your braincells?

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning Jaye! Hot and humid here too!
I have already fed the hummers, and washed the mustang! I am done for the day!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

Sis Jaye, they have me doped up on Percocet. Went to ER again yesterday, they said I need to see some kind of specialist because they can't find what's wrong with me. Shot me up with delauda, wrote me a script and sent me home. They said the pain may be coming from the cyst on my ovary.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

If it's from the ovary, then they might just remove that ovary. I have only one left and not on HRT.
So sorry you have to go through so much.. it's not the pain that bothers you I am sure, it's the misdiagnosis and having a crappy doctor accused you of imagining that.
I can't take Percocet sis Kathy. Don't work for me, just some opium laced pills that I get from my sister, "Lamalin". Knocks me out every time.

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Oh my gosh, all those pain killers and very strong ones too. Hope they find your problem and fix it.

Well, the on line with geek squad yesterday wasn't the answer. I don't think he was really looking for the pop up problems. I just got off line with them again, did another remote session and he was really through. I just hope this is the answer to all my problems. While he was checking on everything I went through some papers, pile for shredding and a pile for recycling. Need to get some laundry done, call the trash company, and I haven't heard from the Neptune Society about DH. I don't know why it is taking so long. Can't seem to get into the closet to take some things out, but I know that isn't top on my list and I have to do it when I feel it is time.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Pegi, take your time! It was a year before I could actually remove things and then it wasn't the easiest thing I had to do. I did have one good day when I finally cleaned out his sock/treasures drawer.....I found $300.00 in pennies stuffed in an old hunting sock carefully tied with a hard knot.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Marion, did you check those pennies to make sure they were no valuable? Maybe he was using it as a weapon? LOL!

Pegi, I agree with Marion, take y our time, and do it when you feel the time is right. Find a church or goodwill to donate them to.

Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)

I had cyst on both ovaries and the Dr put me on a low dose estrogen .Told me that menopause will cause that sometimes. Problem solved with the ovaries and my outlook on life !!! Can't stand Percocet ,one thing they don't work and another it is like I an on Speed bouncing off the walls !

After the baby passed away in 1980 I could not even look at his clothes .They stayed in the dresser until 1986 when I was pregnant with Ryan .And then I went through them ,kept 2 outfits ,put them in a dresser drawer and donated the rest.I never wore them on Ryan ,they are to this day in the same dresser drawer .Ryan did ask me one time "when I have kids ,can I have them " and I told him yes .

Marion I couldn't even lift $300 in any kind of change let alone pennies !

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Happy Birthday Jaye! Hope you had a wonderful day! I did not know it was your Birthday till I saw all the Birthday wishes on your FB page!

Happy Birthday, Jaye!!
I phoned her, and I know it's a day early, but so what, right?!?! hahaha

Bob works for ServiceMaster - a Janitorial company - as an Assistant Manager in the Warehouse.
They really like him there - he's professional in his dress, always, and even the Salesmen don't wear a tie........

Well, June month-end, and 2013/14 Year-end still isn't done..... and I want to finish out July month-end coming up.......
We're heading out in the RV on Mon August 5th, and returning August 9th in the afternoon - 5 nights - yaaaaaaaaaaaay. I love camping in the mountains! Boy, I sure need a break from bookkeeping lol

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sounds like Bob enjoys his job? Vacations are always nice!

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

My computer is working just like new. I'm so happy I asked them to do another remote session. I let them go into my computer and check everything out.

Oh, forgot to wish Jaye a happy birthday. Sorry it is late. She is such a special lady to everyone here. So happy I found all of you to share my ups and downs with me.

Susan & Bob have a great time camping. When my boys were young we did a lot of camping. Boys & dad went fishing and I just took it easy. They were good times.

Almost time for Mike & Molly and then at 10 PM "Under the Dome". I got so involved in that the first season I had to keep watching.

I'm a little early on that birthday wish, but early is good too.

oh yes, Bob enjoys his job - it's a different one pretty much every day and he likes the variety, plus the trust they place in him (he has keys to every hospital in the city; several city-owned sites; and they've given his the full use of a company van - he brings it home every night, and also has use of the company equipment for cleaning of our church!
Oh yes, they think very highly of him! He's blossoming under the praise. It's hard work, and he's exhausted every night, but...... well, that's to be expected......

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Pegi - it's not late - Jaye's birthday is tomorrow, July 29th!
I was a bit early lol

Carrollton, OH(Zone 6a)

Jaye's Birthday is not until tomorrow ......I think Kel was afraid of missing wishing her Happy Birthday and started it all........ROFLMAO !

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Happy Birthday Jaye. Hope it is the best one ever!!!!!
